Rita did a great job listening to our wishes on our 6 day trip to Iceland and we were blown away with the trip plan, scenery, activities and people. Other the Hotel Katla, the accommodations were amazing and catered to individual travelers. Hotel Katla in Vik focued on large tour groups and the food was ok.

Jana of Troll Expeditions was a great guide for our snorkeling trip and she made us feel at home on 36 degree water.

We were so glad to go into winter with fewer crowds and great weather.

Gummi did an excellent job planning our Iceland Ring Road adventure. He reviewed the activities we had expressed interest in and proposed additional ideas for our consideration, a number of which we added to our itinerary. Gummy is a native Icelander and has an intimate knowledge of the country and activities, having done them himself. He did a great job preparing our daily itinerary which included when to start and highlights with suggested amounts of time to spend at each location. The inclusion of Google map links made it easy to navigate. We did not think or worry about logistics before or during the trip. Gummi was also available if questions arose. We highly recommend him. Trip highlights- Inside the Volcano, Silfra Snorkel, Porsmork HIke, Katla Ice Cave and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon.

We just completed our trip to Iceland and we must say that our local specialist Adam went above and beyond in planning our trip. From day one, Adam showed enthusiasm in planning our trip and it carried over while we were in Iceland, as he checked in a few times to see how things were going. (I must apologize to Adam for not responding as we were too busy enjoying the trip to be on the internet!) I had previously traveled to Iceland with my son and he had used KimKim with a different specialist. I am glad I had decided to use KimKim for the return trip to Iceland with my wife this time. Adam did such a wonderful job planning our itinerary down to the last amazing detail with helpful suggestions and additional insights/places to check out along our routes. Everything, I mean everything, was stress-free and hassle-free from the minute we landed to the minute we boarded our return flight home. Rental car, hotels and our excursions were taken care of with ease. Iceland is such a beautiful country with so much to see and do. Adam was able to break down our journey into bits and pieces so we didn't feel overwhelmed. Unfortunately with the seismic activity and volcano threat, we weren't able to visit the Blue Lagoon as they were closed. Adam was very helpful in finding replacement activity and made sure we were refunded for our tickets. Thank you very much Adam, you made this trip very enjoyable and memorable for my wife and I. Your enthusiasm in planning our trip was a blessing and much appreciated. I sure hope to have you as a specialist again in the future when I make a return trip to the Land of Fire and Ice. Overall, for those of you that are on the fence about using KimKim for trip planning, I have had KimKim involved twice on trips and both times I have had a wonderful and hassle-free experiences. This company is great at what they do and I have/will recommend KimKim to family and friends that are planning trips.

What an easy/breezy way to set up a new trip to literally anywhere. We spent 12 days exploring Iceland and I cannot imagine how difficult it would have been to set this trip up on my own. Our specialist, Duncan, helped us with every step of the way from hotels to vehicles to fun activities. I will be using KimKim again for sure for other countries and cannot recommend working with Duncan enough!

This was our first experience with kimkim and it was SPECTACULAR. Our specialist Veronika was an absolute gem. Communications were always timely and she made this trip! My wife and I both agreed this was the best trip we have ever experienced. Iceland itself is possibly the most beautiful place on earth. Our 11 days were filled with so many natural wonders that it was over in a blink of an eye. If you are considering going to Iceland, or using kimkim, please do it. From the first contact, I was thoroughly impressed with kimkim's service. I worked with Rinolda to plan a trip for my family (my two parents, my sister, and myself) to Iceland to celebrate my mom's birthday, and she presented a thoughtful itinerary that brought together some of the best experiences the country has to offer. She really understood our needs and our expectations, and she suggested several activities and dining opportunities that we would not otherwise have known about. We were most concerned about booking accommodations, and she took care of those arrangements quickly, and selected hotels that were very comfortable and centrally located for our activities. She recommended a geothermal bakery tour and an ice cave tour that were highlights of our trip! She was very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the planning stages, and then while we were in Iceland her response time to our queries was lightning fast. Hvammsvik Hot Springs (& Nature Reserve)

This was our very first stop on our trip, and it was the perfect way to relax and refresh after our flight. The setting is incredibly gorgeous, and the operators have clearly worked very hard to build the tubs into the landscape and to keep a natural feel. We were greeted with a warm welcome and given clear instructions about how to proceed to the hot springs. We had an amazing lunch after our soak in the hot springs, and the staff was very accommodating on a busy day.

This geothermal bath experience was so relaxing and restorative. The location on Laugarvatn is truly special, and driving through Thingvellir to get there was a beautiful trip. We took advantage of several different tubs and the dry sauna, which has a view to the lake that is really stunning. The food here was good - they had two types of soup, and the smoked trout was delicious! We also took the geothermal bakery tour, which we highly recommend!

The tour was a highlight of our trip! Our guide shared some history about the town as well as the hot springs, which we really appreciated. Learning more about the process of baking underground using geothermal energy was so cool, and it was a fun experiment to take part in. The bread was so delicious on its own, and then we were encouraged to add Icelandic butter and smoked trout caught from Laugarvatn, which really elevated the flavor.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that my family and I will never forget! First of all, the fact that the tour takes you inside a glacier is phenomenal. Our guide, Damian, was a delight. He had a good sense of humor, which he balanced with helpful notes about being cautious and safe inside the cave, and he was committed to making sure that everyone in our group had a good experience. He sensed that our mom might need a little extra help getting into and around inside the cave, and he calmly and politely provided assistance. He was patient with our questions and with taking photos, he shared many insights about the glaciers, the caves, and healthy respect for nature, and we could not have had a better tour.

We were definitely safe the entire ride to and from the glacier, though the terrain is very bumpy in the superjeep, and it's a fairly long ride.

Rinolda was an ace...never left us without alternatives...always responded promptly and with helpful suggestions. The reservations at geothermal spas were great, as well as at hotels and B&B's. The trip was absolutely wonderful and wouldn't have succeeded without your assistance.

Silvía was amazing. All to often an itenerary is presented agreed upon and the you never hear from the planner again. With Silvía it was the complete opposite. She listened to all of our needs. She addressed our concerns and created a travel plan that exceeded our expectations. From delicious cuisine in Narfeyrarstofa to hiking through the glaciers in Katla, Silvía’s attention to detail created a unforgettable experience my wife and I will speak about for years to come. We look forward to planning another vacation with her with more hiking and more adventure. Thank you again for helping us cross off another item on our bucket list.

Eric from Kimkim planned a wonderful trip for us in beautiful Iceland! Having traveled many times independently, researching and making our own reservations and itinerary, my husband and I decided it was time to get assistance. It was a relief having a hotel each night where we were welcomed with arrangements already completed, having pleasant accommodations, scenic views, and great breakfasts. Trip plans and directions were provided for each day, including additional suggested activities – more than we could fit in. We proceeded with those we found most appealing and had a great time. Eric was very helpful in setting up the trip. We emailed and had more than a few phone calls with him beforehand, which he arranged with our schedules in mind. He was always pleasant, helpful, and never acted as if we were being annoying. He got back to us almost immediately with the changes we requested. When there was an airline problem and we arrived a day late (which had nothing to do with Eric or Kimkim) the trip was immediately modified appropriately, and Eric provided the documentation needed for the insurance company to get the cost of one day of car rental and hotel reimbursed.

Iceland exceeded all our expectations. Gummi understood our desire to have an adventure-packed family vacation. He packed our days with unforgettable sights, hikes and tours. The google map links were perfect to keep us on track and his recommendations for times at each location kept us on track to ensure we didn't miss anything. The restaurant recommendations were a great mix of Icelandic cuisine and American favorites for the teenagers. Our favorite part was the Katla ice cave tour. We strapped on our crampons and were mesmerized by the blue hues and natural ice formations. We took ATVs on the beautiful black sand beach near the Myrdalsjokull glacier. We rode snowmobiles on the Langjokull glacier. Gummi even ordered up the most spectacular Northern Lights show! It was everything we hoped for.

Spectacular trip to Iceland! My nephew is spending a semester abroad in Reykjavik, so we decided to visit! Such an easy flight from Boston ! Veronika helped us plan a wonderful itinerary for the three days, four nights we were there. She was quick to respond and make suggestions and we enjoyed everything! Thank you Veronika! We loved the walking tour with Oluf. The views from the top of the church were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Rok one night and Apotek another. We stayed at Alda hotel (awesome location for walking around the city) and the restaurant (Brass Kitchen) there was also great and convenient for the final dinner before we left. My sister and I spent a few fabulous hours at the Sky Lagoon which I will never forget…topped off by a gorgeous sunset! The Golden Circle tour was simply awesome…The Perlan museum was also a highlight with an incredible 360° observation deck and rotating cafe. Priceless memories with my parents who are in their 80s but still enthusiastic about new experiences. I will return to this amazing country again someday, hopefully with my young adult sons!! So much more to see and do but we were so grateful for all the experiences we had, the lovely people, the phenomenal scenery, the sunny weather!!

Awesome museum. We weren't going to get to a real ice cave so it was great to walk through the one in the museum. The Northern Lights show was also beautiful. Another highlight of this museum was the 360 degree observation deck...absolutely incredible views. The rotating cafe on the top floor was also great views, good food and worth a stop.

There was so much to see and do on this tour. I honestly wasn't really looking forward to the tomato farm but it ended up being an awesome experience. Yummy burrata salad and Bloody Mary! The natural wonders of Iceland are many but the Gullfoss waterfalls truly took my breath away! This tour is a must do!

I wished my 83 year old mom had been able to see the falls! We discovered a lower parking lot that I think may have been possible for her to walk to see them but I couldn't find our driver to see if he could drive her down there.

The Iceland Tour was an amazing trip, aided by the professional and competent KIM KIM team. A special recognition to Francesca, who has helped arrange this trip for over a year. The rental car, the itinerary, the accommodations were all taken care of. I highly recommend self driving as it gives one the freedom to set your own pace and to alter locations as desired. All of the excursions were worth the time and a special shout out to Arctic Adventures and their Super Jeep Aurora Tour. The accommodations were all good and were well located, usually a few miles toward the next day’s journey. A few minor issues during the course of the trip were quickly resolved by KIM KIM team member Preeti. Anyone considering a trip to Iceland should consider utilizing the services of KIM KIM. I feel that my nine day tour of the Golden Ring Road was just right. Every day was planned out with possible options. Excursions included many natural wonders, the animals, the Icelandic Horse, reindeer and whales. The hot spring spas, the ATV ride, the helicopter tour and of course, the Northern Lights.The following information is important to be aware of; food is expensive in Iceland, especially restaurant dinners. Our breakfasts were included with the hotels and for lunch, we saved money by buying sandwiches from the grocery store. Also, after you have arrived and are picking up the rental car, be sure to purchase the auto damage insurance. Windy days and close parking can result in expensive dings. Eric was, simply put, AMAZING!! :) It is such a plus to travel to a country and have everything pre-planned, pre-booked and pre-paid. His itinerary was thorough, extremely detailed, and truthfully, we did not get to do all his additional, optional, recommendations... no regrets though as we were FULLY booked the whole time :)

I had a favorable experience booking my Iceland trip with KimKim and my local specialist, Èric. I contacted them just 2 weeks before the trip and was so appreciative of their fast work to schedule and plan a trip that was truly customized to me and my sons. We struck the right balance of low-activity touring along with some exciting adventure activities including hiking and ziplining on a glacier, exploring an ice cave, and snorkeling in the glacial meltwater where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. The documentation contained helpful info, our hotel selections were the right quality level, and when one or two issues came up, Eric and the team were superfast to help resolve them.

We had the trip of a lifetime in Iceland with Rinolda’s amazing planning. Our hotels were conveniently located along our ring road tour. The various tour companies we got to do excursions with (Hesta Sport for horse back riding and North Sailing for Whale Watching ) were phenomenal, we felt very prepared and relaxed on both tours. When a blizzard hit the north/east region of the country, KimKim was able to alter our trip to keep us safe but still enjoy the best of our time in Iceland. We will absolutely be traveling with KimKim again, as well as recommending them to our family and friends for their travel needs.

The first room we were put in was very small, had a very low/slanted ceiling and a shower so tiny we wouldn’t have fit. After nicely asking to be moved, the next room was better; felt more like a hotel room rather than a guest room in an attic. The onsite parking was outrageously expensive (would have been about $55/per day. Thankfully we were able to park in a garage down the block for a more affordable rate. Still not our favorite stay of our trip.

Was hesitant to go to the blue lagoon after reading mixed reviews from other travelers. But I think doing it so early in the morning after our flight was why made it so wonderful. Or was far from crowded and very rejuvenating after a sleepless night on the plane.

This was my favorite part of the trip! Iv always loved horses; and after learning more about Iceland and their special breed I knew we had to add it to our itinerary. Soooo glad we did. Getting to experience the Tolt was very special. Our guide was amazing, I felt very safe and she took lovely photos of us.

The trip to Iceland was amazing! Guðmundur Oli, our local specialist was outstanding. He made the entire trip planning process very smooth and was extremely responsive at all times. The tailor-made trip itinerary couldn’t have been better. The trip plan included all the details that one needs for an enjoyable stress free trip. The choice of hotels, rental car etc was perfect. Guðmundur’s alacrity and vast knowledge of Iceland’s attractions was remarkable. Would definitely consider using Kim and Kim for our future vacations.

This was such a great way to plan a trip to a place I was never been before and for a person without a lot of free time! Our trip guide, Eva, was fantastic in catering the itinerary to our three generations Iceland trip and she was incredibly flexible to adjust our calender both before the trip to suite our needs and during hte trip as our interests pivoted. It was wonderful to take away some of the typical vacation stressors and let Kim Kim make our vacation so much more relaxing!
