Everything was great and I appreciate your quick responses. The tours were wonderful. Our guide in Santa Margherita was very kind, informative, and helpful. The only one we didn’t like was in Milan. The canal boat ride was underwhelming. It’s not very interesting especially compared to other parts of Italy.

Luca did a wonderful job of creating our tour of Italy and Aurora was very responsive once we arrived. Additionally, due to some travel delays, the 24 hour service offered by KimKim was excellent.

Accommodations were great, itnerary perfect and very impressed with the CiaoFlorence drivers that KimKim shceduled for us. They were always on time, professional and friendly.

We had limited time at our locations. Chris was able to arrange seamless car transfers and tour bookings to maximize our exposure to each site with days of respite in between. All the car drivers arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled time, which was amazing! Communication via text and WhatsApp was detailed and appropriately frequent.

One of the tour guides was running late and Chris and Maria were able to sort out the situation early on a Saturday morning!

Fantastic hotel and location. Walkable to all sites and good choice of walkable restaurants. Very close to the Duomo cathedral and Gucci/LV flagship stores! Only stayed one night but very peaceful and plush rooms with spa like bathrooms, marble walled, slippers and bathrobes too. Went to be rooftop bar but was very pricey for a drink so just enjoyed the views which are great. Good breakfast buffet but no omelette station.

Excellent hotel, plush and beautiful. Great staff and food quality and choices. By far the most amazing brunch I’ve seen with fresh juicing station and fresh omelettes. Spa and gym lounge ones clean and equipped enough. It’s not downtown in the lake como village but walkable to the next town Cernobbio. Easy water shuttle service around the lake. Nighttime travel may be challenging without a car but plenty of walkable restaurants. Nice pool and outdoor seating options and outdoor restaurants as well on site.

Cinque Terre Tour With Limoncino Tasting

Be aware that this is a cruise ship tour. We had some delays in the morning as a result. However Lisa the guide was fantastic. You get to see many sites in a short time. The best part was after the last stop and the cruise ship passengers had to depart, you can keep the train tickets and ride from site to site all night if you like. However the crowds did get worse during the day. Luck selections and souvenir shops are plentiful

Nice walk of the town and some boating on the ferry. I hadn’t realized the huge size of the lake and expected more lake time so I rented a boat the next day! Went through some churches, shopping and limited wine tasting. Lunch selection was great. Had a nice walk through Torno, with narrow streets and small coffee shop for a rest. Renzo was great but I wish he was louder!

Our trip planned by Giorgia was nothing short of amazing. She planned a very throughout itinerary that helped guide me day to day. The hotel Color Navano was cute and perfect. There were lots to do around it. I would skip the food tour next time as I didn’t find it that enjoyable and could have spent my evening dinning anywhere. The colosseum tour with Liv Tours is a must. It was our favorite thing we did in Rome. In Sorrento I do wish we could have stayed in a hotel closer to the center since there were alot of other closer options in our price range. Hotel Florida is very far (45 minute incline walk) to the ferry and 30 minute walk to the center. The 8 hour Amalfi coast tour was very long and I don’t think the description was accurate because I thought the guide would show us around but it’s basically just a private driver to 3 cities where the driver drops you off and tells you to meet back up in 1.5 hours. The private drivers were a life saver every time we have them since taxis and Ubers are not as easily accessible. Overall Kimkim did a great job of having their employees be available 24/7 for any issue we had. I would 1000 percent recommend them and would never go on a trip without them!

I cannot recommend this company enough. We had the most seamless experience visiting both Rome and the Amalfi coast this July. Our planners Gabriele and Elisa paid attention to every detail, ordering cars, train tickets, and ferries, and also planning excursions that fit our goals for our trip. The communication and teamwork was excellent to make our trip as perfect as possible. Our transfer service via private car arrived early for us every time and always got us where we needed to go with complimentary water bottles ready for us. We felt like we got to see and experience almost all of the most beautiful things in both Rome and the Amalfi coast. Our planners were extremely flexible when trying to make adjustments that fit our budget, so don’t be afraid to ask for edits when they send you ideas for your trip.

Highlights from our trip and things we would recommend are: A vespa tour around Rome (you have a driver and it’s so fun and quick to see the city this way), cooking class in Rome, seeing the Colosseum (we didn’t go in, but still amazing) and St. Peter’s Basilica (free entry, go early for a short line). In Amalfi coast we loved staying in our slow, family friendly town of Maiori, touring Pompeii, and taking the ferry to other cities on the coast. They made everything so easy. Definitely plan your trip with KimKim!

Hotel panorama was a cute hotel in the middle of a family friendly town. We loved the quietness and we thought that the hotel was comfortable. The rooms are cute, very minimal decoration and our window wasn’t able to open because we overlooked the roof. The lighting could be a little bit better in there and the TV was a standard one with channels only in Italian. It was a very nice location to the beach, but you do have to pay to get an umbrella and chairs. The pool area had a few sets of chairs in the pool is small and shallow. The workers were so friendly and helpful and all the food we had in the area was amazing. We loved playing cards on the rooftop terrace and grabbing a drink while looking out at the view.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Modigliani. The location was central to walk to everything, we did not buy a single taxi when in Rome. It was nice that it was tucked away in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. The beds were a little hard and our shower door was missing, The breakfast was pretty small with not a lot of selection. Otherwise, the front desk was always available and helpful.

This is our favorite experience throughout our time in Italy. Our two guides were so kind and intentional. We got to drink wine and eat cheese in a cave, which was a super cool experience. It was the best way to see the city, hands-down. We got to see so many things and a beautiful view of the entire city. We felt safe the entire time which was initially a worry for us. I really liked the food tour in Bologna but I did not like the tour in Milan.

Absolutely seamless experience! All our drivers were where they said they would be, when they said they would be, and were friendly and attentive. All of the guides for the many tours we took were so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, we never felt rushed to hurry through any of our planned activities. It was an amazing and memorable trip, made possible with the meticulous planning of Rita and her colleagues at kimkim.

Melanie went above and beyond to make sure our crew was well taken care of. Everything was planned nicely.

We will definitely be using KimKim again in the future! Everything was planned perfectly and they sent us detailed reminders the night before each activity so there was never any room for guessing!

Our Italian vacation was amazing! Highlights were half day trip to the island of Procida, cooking class at the home of Manuela and Maurizio in Naples, food and wine tour with Tamara in Sorrento, tour of Pompeii with Mario and the exquisite hotel room and beach experience at La Tonnarella in Sorrento.
Arrividerci for now Italia but hope to return sometime!!!

Overall we had a good experience, but there were highs and extreme lows (good excursions and they tried and customer service, but logistics and transportation was a nightmare). I go with travel agents when there is a logistically challenging trip I need assistance on to ensure low stress and efficient trips. I can honestly say this was the MOST STRESSFUL trip experience I have ever taken, and we have traveled with 3 generations of family in and out of the USA before.

The Bad:
-We had several logistical issues small, medium, and large. I was very clear that we had an 80 year old with double knee replacements and I am limited to about 10,000 steps max. My steps were mostly spent chasing cabs down in our recurring transportation issues. The travel agent was made aware of this, did not ask the appropriate questions and thus did NOT accommodate properly for this. We had so much stress and wasted time fixing everything.
-Our stadium tour was not booked on the day planned and had to be updated days before the trip.
-Our cooking class was great, but was changed the night before to a town not close to where we were staying. we had a mad scramble to and hours spent figure this out for the next morning. Kim Kim luckily set up a transfer but the address was wrong on the building so we had to walk to each building buzzing the owners until we found them.
-Both of our hotels were in nice historical areas but we could not get a van taxi for 5 people to drop or pick us up at the locations. We had to walk/run to various different places and had several Uber cancelations.
-Several locations we could not get picked up. Two time we had walk to a gas station for a taxi since there were none around and Uber would not pick us up (AS Roma Stadium and Ostia Antica).
-Our Bari rickshaw trip (good once figured out) got scheduled for a walking tour so yet another scramble and wasted time changing that up.
-Our speed boat tour of the caves near Bari was the absolutely wrong location link, yet another mad dash but at this point I had no confidence in our travel logistics and showed up two hours early at the supposed meeting location.
-We needed to get a train from Bari to Rome since we flew out of Rome the morning after so we asked Kim Kim to set up one to make sure we did not miss the train. The driver was told by someone to go to the airport, so once we noticed we were going to the wrong place we got to the train station running with our luggage and my 80yr old mother with two knee replacement to get on the train as the doors closed.
-There were other discrepancies in the itinerary in addition to the location and scheduling conflicts, like one area said breakfast was included and another did not.
-A medium issues was the in the hotel rooms: we had a window that would not close in 100F degree heat that was not fixed, a sink the leaked, a shower drain that would not drain, got put in separate buildings. We would have chose a less historic area if we knew about all of these issues.
-Steps up to the bathroom on 2 of the 3 rooms we stayed, which may mother tripped on at least once...I can't believe no one even asked about steps, safety bars, or anything having to do with all the mobility concerns we told them about...I could not imagine if someone used a walker or wheelchair!
-I HIGHLY recommend setting up more set transportation ahead of time on the itinerary so a lot of the issues would be prevented.

The Good:
-Our travel agent was pleasant to work with and had good excursion recommendations.
-The excursions were good to excellent.
-The travel agency made a good effort to resolve the issues.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable rooms, and the amazing breakfast each morning. Excellent location! We Cannot praise the desk staff enough! We were in great need of their help with some luggage transport and they helped us above and beyond their duties. We very much appreciated their help!

We had an amazing time, this is our second time using KimKim to plan a large trip and it was for the most part seamless. Jessica and Storywalking were in contact with us constantly which was amazing. We could have used a little additional guidance in determining the best time to go to certain locations and the best way to organize that, (i.e. scheduling around afternoon reposo when everything is shut down) but we had an amazing time exploring Italy. Day Trip to Monreale & Cefalù

Monreale is amazing but there wasn’t enough time to go to both cities. We spent more time driving to Cefalù then we spent in the actual city. Both cities were must-see locations but we felt super rushed.

We have no complaints about any part of our trip. The communication and coordination was seamless, it definitely allowed us to focus on having fun. Our guides were excellent (Marta, Michael (boat) and the guide in Pompeii), extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The drivers were all outstanding as well, again very communicative. Melanie and her team did a great job coordinating and making timely suggestions. They were able to adapt quickly and stayed engaged the entire trip. Job well done, thank you.

While every single city had a fabulous tour guide that was extremely knowledgeable about the city and landmarks and culture; what stood out the most was the personal service anytime we had questions or needed help during traveling. Le Dani and Melanie were never out of reach and were able to connect us to the best experience I have ever had while traveling. Our trip to Italy was beyond any experience I’ve ever had. This is only due to their service.

Melanie is absolutely amazing. She presents a deep level of care and attentiveness so we never felt like we were left hanging. This coupled with her thorough planning and exceptional knowledge resulted in a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. There are truly no words for the experience she was able to curate for us.
