From my first inquiry to the day we sadly departed Italy, our experience with Kim Kim was outstanding. The itinerary that Leslie curated for us was amazing, and included all of the activities/sights we wanted to experience while in Italy. Most of our tours/excursions were private, which was such a treat! And while we didn't necessarily love the larger group tours at the end of the trip, the guides were very good, and provided great information on the sites we were visiting. Having such great experiences curated and planned for us took the trip to another level...and all we had to do was show up! We only had one small glitch while in Italy....the day we were in Florence we were not permitted to tour the Duomo, which had been advertised on our daily itinerary, and was something we were very excited for, and very sad to have missed. When I reached out to my local Kim Kim advisor, I was told that the itinerary did have "fine print" that indicated that some venues may be closed upon arrival, therefore we technically should have been prepared for that outcome. As we were very disappointed in missing one of the biggest attractions in Florence (after being told it was part of the itinerary), Kim Kim listened to my concerns and immediately issued us a monetary refund for that portion of the day for our inconvenience and disappointment (even though entrance to the Duomo is free). This small glitch was the only negative experience we had in our 12 days in Italy. I would definitely use them again, and plan to for an upcoming trip. Kim Kim made our 30th anniversary trip to Italy an exquisite adventure that we will treasure for years to come!

I wish I had known that St. Peter's Basillica would be closed by the time our tour ended. I would have arranged to have made a separate visit there during it's open hours. I was disappointed that we did not get to have this as part of the tour, but I did have the time of the tour, so I could have done some better investigation and planning ahead of time.

We had a wonderful trip despite temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal. We loved all the cities we visited- Bellagio at Lake Como, Ortisie, Venice, Florence and Monterosso in the Cinque Terre. The tours were great- especially the 2 women (Paola and Lucia) in Florence. The hotels went above our expectations- magnificent!! All of our arranged drivers were so professional and went above their prescribed duties to help us navigate from city to city and from train to water taxi.

These people couldn’t have been more helpful. Our kimkim representative Andrea had guided that helped us from the transport can to the ferry and off the ferry to the hotel. Then upon leaving the hotel we had guided that helped us on and off the ferry to the train station. There was even one at the train station to help us fine the right platform. This is what kimkim excels at - the details of traveling - helping tourists navigate from one place to another without stress.

Fabio executed our vacation flawlessly. He was willing to meet as often as needed and was a great communicator. From the very beginning planning stages he listened to what we had to say and worked with us to plan a lovely trip of Rome, Florence, and Positano, including day trips to neighboring towns. He arranged for hotels (within our budget), transportation (train and private car service), and excursions based upon our requests. He used top notch providers and bilingual tour guides. He was available to troubleshoot during the trip as well, and could always be reached throughout our trip. He made dinner reservations and recommendations, and was kind enough to assist our daughters with a rooftop reservation, even though they were not part of our trip.
Some of our favorite days were the wine tour at Rocca Farm with Martina and her family, and the Donna Rita cooking class in Sorrento with Giacomo and his parents. We definitely preferred the less crowded, more intimate tours.
Personally, the only thing I would do differently is I would build in a day or two to relax and just enjoy, but that was our decision to plan something daily, not his!
I highly recommend Fabio and his travel planning services. He is kind, considerate, attentive and competent, and an absolute pleasure to work with!

Guilia and the KimKim team created an absolutely amazing Italian vacation for our family, including Florence, Cinque Terre, and Venice. Based on her knowledge and experience, she developed an agenda reflecting our schedule, interests and budget. We worked together via email, video chat, and text. She booked hotels, tours, and even car services for us! Once the itinerary was set, the KimKim app showed all the daily activities, stored tickets, and kept us organized. We found it so easy and stress free to have all the details and documents, easily accessibly, and to be able to reach Guilia and the team via Whatsapp or the App. We were coming Italy to attend a wedding and wanted to see the country and the prospect of trying to do all that for a family of 4 without Guilia's assistance would have been stressful and overwhelming. To quote our 23 year old daughter - was so nice to be a "travel princess" with everything arranged for us while still giving us time to explore on our own. The balance of booked tours and our own free time was perfect. We were planning on taking a train on our own to the Tuscan wedding, but when we learned of a possible planned train strike, one message to Guilia and a car service was arranged for us. We leave Italy with great memories thanks to Guilia!

This trip was our Honeymoon and it was absolutely fantastic. We went to three different countries, stayed in fabulous accommodations, always had a driver there to get us to and from the airport on time. We loved the tour of the Louvre, as well as the walking food tour in Paris. The tea and walking tour in London was so much fun. And we loved the guinness storehouse and the perfect pint tour in Ireland. Jessica listened to everything we wanted and made it the best trip ever.

We LOVED this tour. It was a self tour through the storehouse which was so much fun, and then a tour with two other couples to a handful of the pubs with the “best guinness” in Ireland. We had a wonderful trip to Italy. Caterina planned a perfect vacation and Beatrice was an exceptional local specialist. All of our tour guides and drivers were wonderful! We can’t wait to return to Italy and will definitely book with KimKim again!

Working with Melanie was fantastic and everything I wanted and more! She worked with me months in advance to plan the ideal surprise anniversary trip for my wife in Italy. She communicated immediately and thoughtfully, did her research to find options and made great suggestions. I especially appreciated her guidance is not overscheduling! The free days were some of the best days of the trip!

We loved learning about historical places, buildings, art, etc. Florence cathedral, Uffizzi and walking the district across the bridge were fantastic. Our days in Sorrento and Amalfi coast were heavenly and loved the day trips to Path of God's and the coastal towns. Ravello was a neat gem. I wish we had more free time there to explore the towns and places like Ravello. Pompeii was the real highlight for us and wish we had dedicated a while half day there instead of 2 hour tour. We ended in Rome only 1.5 days so of course would love to go back and spend more days in Rome and Florence. The walking tour the last night in Travestere was absolute highlight! Will plan to do that in every city next time.

The hotels were fantastic, arranged transportation from hotel were great, and bullet trains a nice splurge.

The only less than ideal experiences were the Murano tour - it was short and a sales pitch to buy instead of showing us the area.

We thought we would get a tour and learn about glass making. Instead they did 10 minute demonstration of glass blowing and then spent rest of time showing us their store. The pieces were amazing but we had wanted to really learn and see glass blowing and what is done on the island. I dont k ow if they didn't have people to take us around that day or this is the tour. KimKim helped us locate wonderful places to stay (given our requirement to have 2 bathrooms for 4 people) and we had amazing guides in every city -- Zurich, Basel, Venice, Naples, Amalfi Coast, and Rome. We had the BEST time. Marianna was generally available while we were traveling, as was High Point Holidays, and it made things much easier to have that constant contact.

I started organizing this trip back in the January time frame and by March we had locked down the details. I am grateful that the KimKim team answered my questions and really listened to our priorities. Our hotels/apartments were all extremely well=located (big priority) and our guides were all so good. My teenage daughters had a great time, despite the epic heat wave hitting Europe and the daily power outages in Italy. All in all, we are so very happy with our trip!

Gladiator’s Gate, Special Access Colosseum with Arena Floor & Roman Forum (3 hours)

Tour guide was lovely and the experience was good. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of access to the Colosseum. We paid for the gladiator entry, so got to go down on the floor, which was really cool, but thought we'd be able to explore the whole arena. Turns out that special ticket only gets you access to the floor, so was a bit disappointed about that. But overall, it was a wonderful tour.

Our recent trip to Italy was absolutely amazing! Began in Rome- started with Pantheon, Colloseum, and Forum, Trevi fountain. Our day at the Vatican was so interesting. Our guide studied archeology and art history so loads of information! One very interesting addition was the Villa Borghese with its beautiful gardens and land in addition to hundreds of sculptures- numerous Bernini, masterpiece paintings- Rafael , Rubens, etc. Definitely include it in your itinerary.
Next Florence. Amazing artwork, food, and 2 Da Vinci museums with interactive models of inventions. Our guide for the Uffizi gallery , the Acadamia and Duomo had a masters in art history. We learned so much more with her than if we had done a self guided tour. Do not miss ordering Florentine steak!
Venice was next- greeted at the train and taken to our water taxi to the Hotel Moresco which was classic and charming. The staff was so attentive and quickly taught us how to to get around using water buses which made the trip so easy. Spent a lot of time in San Marco area with the highlight of attending a concert with a string orchestra performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at the Chiesa della Pietà. Took the water bus to the island of Burano (known for silk) and Murano ( known for Venetian glass).
Another fast train to Milan. They are so comfortable and easy to use. First class tickets are very reasonable. It was designed week in Milan so it was very, very crowded. Very walkable city. Wanted my husband to see The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci-a 15th-century mural painted on the dining hall wall of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Sforza Castle and the Duomo were also full of art work and amazing architecture.
Our final stop was the most breathtaking landscape of Lake Cómo. A boat tour is a must to see all the amazing villas and small,charming towns. We stayed in Varenna which was so nice. 2 beautiful Villas with amazing gardens you can tour. Our most fun was taking a cooking class in a home in Varenna. A charming couple taught us to make fresh pasta- tagliatelle and tortellini filled with spinach and ricotta, an appetizer and Tiramisu! Such a wonderful evening seeing how they raise so much of their food even when they have full time work outside of the home. They practiced their English and we got to practice our Italian!
A train ride back to Rome and an amazing afternoon and evening at the QC Grand Hotel Roma. A full Roman Bath with saunas, steam rooms, and thermal baths. Unfortunately close to the airport which made it easy to leave even though we did not want to go.
In all we had 18 amazing days with the best guides and hotels. Kimkim makes it all work so smoothly! My husband walks with a cane and we can still travel easily thanks to all of their planning.

Sonia, it was a fantastic trip. I was ill after we got home, so I'm just getting around to do the 5 -star review. Veronica in Sardinia did a great job. Valeria in Sicily was an excellent communicator, always checking in on us. I was sad to have the miscommunication on the Cerafu boat trip. I followed the app with the 5-8 time and did not realize the time change Valeria sent with the address, missing the boat trip .
Other than this confusion, all went on schedule and she was invested checking up on us daily.

Leslie and the Kimkim team made our trip to Italy a family vacation of a lifetime. We will def use Kimkim again and highly recommend their service. We had immediate attention when we needed to change the driver on the rental car contract in Florence. We got a phone call when the meeting spot changed for our tour, and were greeted with a person to make sure we found the new location. Every detail was taken care of. We had someone meet us at the airport and train stations to travel us to our location. Everything was well planned. The hotels were all wonderful and comfortable as well as centrally located.

Everything went so smoothly, and if there was any deviation from the original plan, the team was so quick and efficient to handle the issue. I saw everything that I wished to see, and could not imagine a better Grandmother/Granddaughter experience.

Capri Boat Tour from Sorrento

Wow - this was the perfect way to start our vacation while we were getting over jet lag. It was relaxing, the sites were spectacular, and our guides made sure our experience was nothing but the best. Light snacks and drinks were a fun bonus. Swimming in the ocean was rejuvinating. We enjoyed our time walking around the island and taking the Tram to the top as well.

We loved our Italy experience through Jessica at Kimkim. Kimkim is so great because it is not a canned experience with large crowds, common meals, and directed timetables.
Jessica made travel easy and picked just the right experiences at the right price. So little hassle for such great memories. We used the train, private transfers, taxis/ubers and rented a car for various parts of the trip and she helped us match both our transportation and our accommodations to what would give us the best experiences with the least amount of time wasted.
We chose Rome, Naples and Orvieto for our adventures and saw art, architecture, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and experienced the day and night life of these great cities, and cooked a meal with an award winning chef. Italy is the best place in the world for authentic pastas and pizza. We had the best we have ever tasted several times over.
This is our third Kimkim experience and we will definitely use it again. Thank you Jessica and Kimkim!

My favorite part of the trip was our experience at this resort. The tasting meal had some of the best dishes I have ever had, the view was amazing f from our bedroom, and the pool had a drink and snack bar and was almost private because the resort is not large. This is a five star experience that is off the beaten path. This is not the place to go for a nightlife of dancing- that is Naples, but to deny yourself this quiet get away would be the wrong choice if you are with your spouse, partner or friends.

Cooking Lesson with a Farm Chef

We have done a few Kimkim cooking experiences and loved them all. Our party worked with this award winning chef to make some authentic Italian food from scratch. The wine, beer and food were outstanding and we felt at home with him and his staff. Highly recommend this experience if if you only like to cook a little bit.

Day Trip to Pompeii

If you appreciate history, this cannot be missed. Our guide was very knowledgeable, showed us the site in an efficient way without having us follow crowds of people. I would recommend this experience.

Trip planning was spot on in regard to where we wanted to go and regarding accommodations.
There was a high degree of coordination with transfers (private cars, trains)
We loved having the option to contact the team throughout the day and after hours for minor issues.
We loved the daily reminders and directional pins provided.

Accommodations particularly in Lecce at B&B Palazzotto and in Polignano a Mare at Masseria del Crocifisso were excellent. Masseria del Crocifisso was particularly nice!! The food was fantastic and the staff and accommodations were lovely!!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with KimKimm/Storywalking!!

Overall, it was amazing. Only two minor hiccups which could have been prevented with more proactive communication. However, they were handled quickly and only slightly inconvenienced me. Loved the path of the gods hike; however, having everyone in the group introduce themselves first and maybe answer an icebreaker question or two would go a long way in making the tour more enjoyable. Our group was quiet and we jumped into the hike with no introductions. Of note, all of the tours could be better improved with intros and icebreakers so the group can more easily get to know each other and relax. My favorite day was the day trip through Tuscany (Siena, San Gimigiano). Our guide, Giacomo, made the experience unbelievable. He was so knowledgeable about the area, Italian food, and Italian wine. It was a long day but worth it. Metro in Rome was easy to navigate. No problems with either train transfer. Well worth what I paid for the trip.

Leslie and Francesca worked tirelessly to insure our trip was 100% the daily updates were the icing on the cake!! We loved the customer service and responsiveness to our many questions.

We will be sure to refer everyone we know and utilize yoir service in the future.

Tiny bathroom with VERY low ceilings. Sorry this one let us down. Customer service was 2 star at best. The restaurant attached was good but the hotel was inadequate. Service was lacking. No porter ro assist with luggage. Every property but this one had assistance for our bags in and out. I think you can find a better property with Emglish speaking staff. Language barrier was unacceptable!!
