While every single city had a fabulous tour guide that was extremely knowledgeable about the city and landmarks and culture; what stood out the most was the personal service anytime we had questions or needed help during traveling. Le Dani and Melanie were never out of reach and were able to connect us to the best experience I have ever had while traveling. Our trip to Italy was beyond any experience I’ve ever had. This is only due to their service.

Melanie is absolutely amazing. She presents a deep level of care and attentiveness so we never felt like we were left hanging. This coupled with her thorough planning and exceptional knowledge resulted in a once in a lifetime experience we will never forget. There are truly no words for the experience she was able to curate for us.

We had an amazing trip to Sicily, and loved working with our local specialist Lorenza! She was so easy to work with and attentive and worked with us through several itineraries as we finalized our trip. She was also super responsive while we were on our trip to one small glitch we had and was willing to answer any questions we had. We loved every part of our trip and hard to pick a favorite. We love history and archeology so loved Salinunte, Valley of the Temples, Syracusa Greek Theater and Amphitheater as well the theater in Taromina. Also went to Syracusa (specifically stayed in the island of Ortigia) and Taromina a must.

All our guides were truly wonderful! Chaira (Palermo), Carmelina (Valley of the Temples), Azzurra (Selinunte), Sabine (Ragusa), Giuseppe (Syracuse Neapolitan Archaeological Park) and Aureliano (Taromina Theater). Chaira, Sabine, Aureliano and Carmelina were particular standouts but all wonderful!

The Gems of the Amalfi Coast and Eternal Rome vacation was my family's favorite and most memorable trip we've taken together. I usually plan our family vacations, but I was less confident about planning an international trip that would require either renting a car or scheduling multiple transfers during the trip. I decided to contact kimkim. I was so fortunate to have been connected with Chris. He listened to what I wanted, made adjustments along the way, and created a dream vacation for my family. He even arranged transportation for my oldest child to join the rest of the family on the second day, which was when she completed a summer term abroad. In addition to Chris, Maria was our local contact. She was always just a text away to answer questions and to provide us with drivers' contact information and pickup times. Having our activities and transportation taken care of allowed us to have a more relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The accommodations were another excellent aspect of our vacation. The Charme Spagna Boutique Hotel in Rome was a little gem! The room was comfortable and quiet, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. In Sorrento, we enjoyed Hotel Leone with its lovely pool and patio, delicious breakfast, quiet but convenient location, and friendly staff. When we ended our trip with another stay in Rome, we found the accommodations at The Republic to be outstanding. Again, the rooms were comfortable and spacious, the staff accommodating, and the breakfast very enjoyable. The activities were where we truly made our memories, and Chris selected the perfect ones for our family. My family of five had so much fun at our Mediterranean cooking class at Villa Pane (even my 17-year-old son enjoyed it). Luca took us on an amazing tour of the Amalfi Coast, sharing many stories about local history and landmarks. We were so grateful that he was driving on the narrow and busy road! Paola was the most entertaining and engaging tour guide on our visit to Capri and Anacapri. She really took care of our group and made sure we had the best experience. Our private tour of Pompeii was fascinating. Our guide there was extremely interesting and informative, as was our guide at the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum. We were impressed with and appreciative of the knowledge all of our guides shared with us. We were also grateful not to be part of a large tour group. The most people we were grouped with were another family of five. Another great thing about our vacation was that not every moment was planned. We had free time to explore Rome and Sorrento, visiting places that we chose along the way, including the beach in Sorrento and various historical sites and museums in Rome. We made the most of our time in Italy without stress, thanks to Chris, Maria, and the kimkim team. Now that we're home, we can't stop looking at our photos and dreaming of our next trip to Italy.

Melanie made this family trip a once in a lifetime trip. We started planning over 20 months ahead and she led me through all the necessary details once I laid out things we wanted to see and places we wanted to visit. She set up a couple of unbelievable events that made the trip beyond description. I had 13 of my family the first week and 11 continued onto week 2. She made all the arrangements for our visit from hotels and tour guides; all of which were the best! I even asked her to make some dinner reservations away from tourists and they were all great restaurants reserved! The suggestion of the private boat tour out to Capri was worth the entire trip - it was fabulous! My daughter and granddaughters called her throughout the trip to locate the tour guides or see verify the plans for the day and she was always available to us. In fact, there were times when I called from the states and it was late at night, when she was homes with her kids but still answered the phone and handled all my questions. She and her team were the greatest! I would never do an Italy tour without them!

The Hotel Pendini in Florence had some challenges. The room I ended up in was very small, which made it difficult to move around, especially considering my wife's wheelchair. The air conditioning was not up to par, which is a common thing in European hotels, but made our stay a bit uncomfortable.

The Hilton Sorrento Palace was our favorite accommodation on the trip. It was really nice, with great pools and excellent air conditioning. It provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone, including the kids who loved it.

The Ruins of Pompeii & Winery on the Vesuvius

The Ruins of Pompeii & Winery on the Vesuvius tour was outstanding. The guide was amazing and very considerate, especially with us having a wheelchair. He expertly maneuvered through the tricky terrain, always ensuring we were comfortable, and even made sure that we were always standing in the shad. It exceeded all our expectations.

What an amazing trip! Martina worked closely with me to plan our trip to Italy, from Rome to Santa Margherita, to Cinque Terre, to our villa, and ending in Florence. She gave great ideas and scheduled wonderful drivers like Ileana and Simone to get us from the train station to our hotels. When our train cancelled in Pisa, Lorenzo at KimKim made sure we got picked up and got us to our hotel in Santa Margherita. We had the most amazing tour guide, Elisabetta, in Santa Margherita take us on a beautiful walk to Portofino. And Martina's suggestion of an evening trip to Camogli was spot on. We loved watching the sunset there. Our boat tour in Cinque Terre was fabulous with Fish and Chill and the list goes on and on. Everything was thoughtfully planned and well executed. I will use KimKim again for sure.

We had a wonderful experience with Kimkim and Travel12. Tasos was exceptional and insured all details for the trip were meticulously planned. Everything was run professionally and couldn’t have been smoother. Valentina was the best way to start on the golf cart tour of Rome. She is terrific. The colosseum and forum tour with Giuseppe was great with a ton of information. Every driver we had took great care of us all around Italy. The highlight of the trip was a tour of Cinque Terre with Elisabetta, the best guide we’ve experienced! It was entertaining watching the glass blowing in Murano and the tour of Venice and St. Marks with Nico was a perfect ending to our trip. We had the most amazing trip to Italy! Sonia was such a gift in the planning process. She tailored the trip to our preferences and we felt like we experienced so much of the wonderful Italian culture and sites in 12 days!

Sonia was very responsive and set us up with amazing tour guides (Samantha at the Vatican, Ricardo on the golf cart tour and Gabriel in Tuscany) who brought the regions to life for us. Whenever we had questions, before or during the trip, Sonia and her team were quick to respond and problem-solve. We plan to use Kim Kim again in the future for our travel plans!

We had a fantastic 10 day family adventure to Southern Italy! Bea matched our request for experiential travel, great food and learning opportunities for our school-age kiddos, giving us a great blend of seaside, countryside and labyrinth cities. We particularly loved the food tour with Luca in Sorrento, the views and lemons treats on our hike with Lisa, and the kindess extended by Claudio and chefs as we made some delicious meals and desserts. Highlights for the adults included the great restaurant recommendations, the kids loves Pompeii, and we all enjoyed a day on the boat to enjoy the Amalfi Coast. It truly was a magical, pasta-filled vacation.

The Sorrento Coast and Amalfi Coast Boat Experience was enjoyable, but it was longer than expected, which disrupted our dinner plans. The stop in Amalfi felt unnecessary due to the congestion and tourist situation, which took away from the best part of the trip, which was being on the boat and enjoying the water. It would have been better without that stop.

Great ride for a family - smooth roads, easy pace, with multiple stops to learn about the history and olive groves we rode through.

The accommodations were in very nice locations and the size of the rooms excellent. Having free access to laundry machines in Rome was a nice addition since this was the midpoint of our trip. While the day was very hot, the Tuscany bike trip was great. Peter was excellent in making sure we were safe and hydrated. Having restaurants right outside our door in all locations, especially Venice was a real treat after a long day. Our Grandson was traveling with us and Anita was attentive and easy to work with in planning special activities for him. We really liked the travel app and wished our France portion had the same access. This is the second time we have used Kim Kim and will always keep them in mind as we plan more adventures.

We just returned from our 13-day adventure to Italy that we coordinated via our local specialist Melanie. It was superb. This was our second kimkim trip (the first was to the Galapagos) and I can't imagine planning a trip any other way. It is such a treat to have someone knowledgeable and thoughtful like Melanie to talk through the itinerary, make adjustments, handle all the hotel reservations and transfers and activities and guides and then to be able to focus on enjoying each stop. And when small things occur, to have someone just a WhatsApp text away, who responds immediately with support and guidance. Giovanna's texts each evening with the next-day plans were terrific. So much more to say about their attention to detail, etc. But basically the headline is don't hesitate to book an Italy trip through kimkim and Melanie.

Both great. Our favorite guide of the tour was Santos for our golf cart tour. Didn't see much of the Jewish Quarter but got a feel for Trastevere and Rome in general. Colosseum was a delight to see. And we asked the guide to take us to the Arch of Titus as well, which I had wanted to see.

The guides are all very good. A concern was the lack of predictability because of lack of detail given.
Here’s some comments I made during the trip:

Capri, Pretty good. Wish I had more info about the boat. Very choppy after heavy breakfast and sore back but made it through. Got in a swim and spent an hour on Capri which was too touristy for me. Expensive and crowded. Paolo was a great guy but we had no idea it would be a small boat with just the two of us.

Had a rough time doing the blue grotto. Very rude guide, and very short time, tons of boats inside and difficult maneuvering. Would not recommend.

Pompeii was great. Antonio was a good driver but had a problem with the Pompeii guide at the end because she wouldn’t take a credit card, I didn’t have euros yet so got ripped off at the ATM. Then needed change and nobody would accommodate.

Finished our Amalfi coast tour. I must say it was unusual but interesting. We had two guides Aldo (driver) and Angelo (guide). We were in a van for 6.
Fun trip. For reference it would have been nice if he had beverages. Same with Antonio on drive from Naples. Black car service right? Paolo boat had soda, water and even Prosecco. It having to buy our own water on drives would have been nice.

Pompeii was great. Antonio was a good driver but had a problem with the guide at the end. Because she wouldn’t take a credit card, I didn’t have euros yet so got ripped off at the ATM. This is my first experience using Kim Kim. I have to say this is by far has been one of the best vacation experiences I have had. Our travel consultant, Irene. Was truly amazing. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything for the trip we needed and experienced the best of Rome that we could in our short period of time. She had to work with a timeframe that was around a preplanned cruise. In addition she had to work with dietary restrictions my wife had due to celiac disease. This made activities, particularly eating in Rome, somewhat of a difficult problem however she handled this with amazing care and success. Everything went so smooth and we experienced all the highlights of Rome. I cannot wait to use Irene or Kim Kim again! I also can not thank Irene enough!! I would highly recommend for any of your vacation needs. I will definitely be using them in the future.

KimKim has certainly exceeded our expectations! Eirini had a tough job because we came to her after we had picked dates, bought flights and booked a rental car. We had a rough outline of what we wanted and she filled in all the blanks.

The tours she booked were all awesome and the accommodations were perfect. I really appreciated the daily reminders that Annalisa provided once we were in Italy. All arrangements with both guides, hotels, and transportation were seamless and thoughtfully selected. Can’t say enough good things about your service. You made our dream vacation a reality!! Elena arranged a 14-day trip for my husband and me through Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan. It was all arranged beautifully. Highlights were being in Rome during the conclave and announcement of the first American pope, shopping in Florence, a storybook setting and a gondola ride in Venice, and beautiful Lake Como and seeing the Last Supper in Milan. Especially valuable to us was the selection of boutique hotels in the best locations and transportation planning. We had a similarly awesome experience with KimKim planning our trip to Morocco. Next is Vietnam and Cambodia!

We had the most incredible time in Italy for our 1 year anniversary! My husband and I spent 10 days traveling to Florence, Venice, Sorrento and Rome. Francesco understood our vision for the trip and made all of our Italy dreams come to life! Everything was perfectly organized and each transition was so smooth. Francesco was attentive and quick to respond in each step of the planning and traveling process. He came up with ideas for the trip that I would never have thought of on my own. My husband and I made the most magical memories! I highly recommend Kim Kim in general (I also used them for a trip to Greece in 2022) and Francesco specifically if you are traveling to Italy!

Eleonora and Lorenzo were amazing and very good communicators. I’m still not sure the value of Kim Kim other than connecting us with these anmazing Italy based travel agents. We didn’t like that we went to Italy and had to pay in US dollars,, this I’m sure was not the fault of Eleonora or Lorenzo. They planned our trip just as we requested and the guides they connected us with were top notch. I wish I could say something about Kim Kim but my thoughts are they have a good platform and pick amazing local talent to use it.

Sogno di Giulietta e Romeo

Sorry this was definitely the only bad accommodations of this trip and perhaps one of the worst rooms I’ve had. We were in what was called “The Love” room, if you’re staying at this hotel be sure NOT to get it. Our window that had a lovely view of a canal taped to it looked out to plumbing pipes and an elevator shaft. While some of the staff were lovely some were on the other extreme and bordered rude. We may have given a better review if the breakfast was good and the bed comfortable.
