When I began the planning process for our trip to Italy months ago I was referred to KimKim. One of the best recommendations I have ever received! I began working with Chris who worked with me for weeks to come up with the perfect trip, the perfect tours and the perfect accommodations. Chris was super easy to communicate with and work with and he was very responsive to all my questions. We spent 12 days in Italy visiting Naples, Rome, Florence and Venice. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we knew that Chris and Maria, our wonderful Italy contact, had everything under control! Every reservation, every tour, every hotel transfer, every train ride, water taxi ride, etc. was planned out with precision. No one was ever late, no tour guide was anything less than absolutely amazing, and all of our hotel accommodations exceeded our expectations. I will not hesitate to use KimKim for all of our future travel. They simply made it so easy and so enjoyable! Kudos to Chris and Maria for making this trip to Italy truly the trip of a lifetime!

Elena did an amazing job of communicating with us throughout the entire process of itinerary creation, booking, and execution. Our guides were very knowledgeable and Elena always provided their contact information prior to the Tours. Two of our best guides were Mariapaola and Riccardo. Mariapaola was really amazing as our Rome Tour guide, our driver Riccardo, took us from Napoli to Sorrento gave us great local info along the way. This trip was a great balance between education and relaxation for our family of 5. Thank you Elena for customizing for us.

The KimKim team put together THE best schedule/itinerary for our recent trip to Italy. Their planning detail was amazing, and all aspects of the trip worked like clockwork. We had private drivers chauffeuring us everywhere…from airport to train stations to tours of the Amalfi Coast. Drivers were exceptionally professional. All of the tours they arranged were private or small groups (6 or fewer people), and tour guides were amazing. We’ve already begun planning a trip to Northern Italy in 2025…and definitely looking to KimKim to again work their magic.

Maria Grazie did an amazing job in putting together the initial tour. She was so patient in addressing our many trip plan changes. Once we were in Italy, our contacts Barbara and Jessica (the owner) responded immediately to any questions that we posed via the Story Walking app. Their responsiveness and attention to detail were amazing…can’t asked for a better support team.

Overall it was a great trip. The hotel on Tuscany was not what we expected. The staff, one person, was not friendly or welcoming. We had to figure out a scooter tour on our one. There was no concierge and no shuttle. The pick up in Sorrento was a mess. A driver showed up with a sedan and not a van. He was rude and unhelpful. We had to wait over an hour for a van and our train ride to Rome was delayed by an hour. We arrived to Tome later than expected which impacted my last day with my cousins.

Our trip was absolutely perfect and lived up to every expectation we had!

Rome was stunning with so much beauty and history everywhere. We loved wondering around the city and taking it all in. We had a private guide for the Roman Forum and Colosseum, and Maria was fantastic! She gave us so much historical information with a lot of laughs along the way. We also did a food tour that we loved! It was so nice to experience foods and areas we had not ventured to.

Pompeii was very overwhelming. Both from a historical point and a crowds place. It was great to learn so much, but a larger tour group made it feel more robotic and less personal.

Every minute in the Amalfi coast was straight from a fairytale. The people were amazing, the views were stunning, and the vibes were unmatched. We did a lemon farm tour on our first day and loved it so much! It ended up being a private tour, and we learned so much about the farm and its history– not to mention the lemoncello and lemon treat we got to try. We loved the lemoncello so much that we ordered an entire case to get us through life back home.

The highlight of our whole trip was a boat tour down the coast. It was a perfect way to see all of the towns along the coast. Was absolutely beautiful from that vantage point and I can’t believe how lucky we were to see it.

We spent our last day on Capri. Our guide, Giorgio was fantastic and showed us all of his favorite parts of the island. He was funny and charming, and seemed to know everyone. I can say with 100% confidence that he absolutely made our experience. Of course we had custom sandals made while on the island, and could not recommend more! It was really cool to watch, and now I have sandals to remind me of this trip anytime I wear them.

The hotel was trendy and clean, but situated in a very busy area. Leaving the hotel was like walking into a high school assembly with chaos everywhere. We got nearly no sleep as there was noise from the ally below all night long. It sounded like glass breaking over and over again. We were also unable to keep the air or fan on throughout the night, making us very uncomfortable. In addition to the above, the hotel would not help with our bags as we had been promised. Quite frustrating given the hotel entrance is hidden in an ally. The front door locks in the evening and you need to be buzzed up. Not an issue if someone is at the front desk to let you in, but this was not always the case. We had a few stressful evenings not knowing when someone would actually let us in, and got lucky to go in after others had exited the building. Overall, I would not recommend staying here if any other option is available.

Grand Hotel Excelsior was an absolute gem! It has amazing views, great service, and was very authentic. We were in a newly renovated room and it was perfect! Having a balcony overlooking the coast was such a wonderful way to wake up each day. The room was always clean and the staff so helpful. The shuttle was so much more valuable than we realized. Scheduling is easy and it always ran on time. It made getting to the pier and city center a breeze.

The process of using KimKim to find Eirini at Storywalking agency was incredibly easy and seamless. Eirini's knowledge of Italy to book drivers for day trips to Tuscany with a wine tasting and lunch that was outstanding, the Almafi coast car tours to Almafi & Revello along with a seperate day of hiking the path of the gods with a guide (enzo) who grew up in Positano and the best was the boat trip to Capri whit a crew that was fantastic! She picked 2 hotels for us that met our needs - in the center of the towns, clean, AC and king sized beds. While the Hotel Cavour Florence was a good, it paled in comparison to her pick for us in Positano with the Hotel Villa Gabrisa. HVG was bright clean, with fantasic view and staff - can't recommend this hotel enough! We finshed our trip in Rome with a private walking tour with Gioia whose knoweldge of the city's history made these "old building" really come alive with their rich history coming out in her descriptions.

The Path of the Gods Hike with Private transfer

This hike was breathtaking! Smartest thing we did was to get car service to begin in Bomerano and enjoy the views walking toward Nicolle (aka Positano) . Enzo our guide was a great historian sharing the rich history of the path, area and how people lived for hundreds of years. Can't recommend him enough for personality, creating a great pace which made the hike very enjoyable. Having a car at the end to avoid the long walk down was critical to not ruining our knee's for the rest of the trip.

Exclusive Capri Boat Tour from Positano

Having a small group ride to Capri was the way to go. Getitng a chance to see the whole island from the water so you could see the various grotto's was worth the time and money. With 12 people abord, made it a good size to hear the information and enjoy some space on the boat. The crew made the trip fun, serving drinks before and after time on Capri and even supplied a great caprese sandwich which saved a lot of money for lunch on the island!

The food and wine were outstanding!! we had a 5 bottle tasting paired with 4 courses of food - come hungry b/c the food is outstanding and the wine even better. They served a 30 year old balsamic vinegar that was life changing and makes all regular balsamic pale in comparison. A great range of wines with their lone white and multiple reds - made for a great afternoon.

Melanie was great to work with and she was very responsive and pleasant. She was always checking in, without being pushy. We especially appreciated all of the drivers that got us safely to our destinations and they were always waiting and very helpful. The hotels were centrally located and even though we did have one issue, Melanie was responsive and is working with us for that to be resolved.

I would highly recommend her to book any of your travel needs in Italy!

We love the personalised recommended local tours - especially the ones in Rome and in Cinque Terre. We were a bit disappointed by the recommended tour in Florence because everything was rushed and we didn't have time to eat in between the packed tours.

The team was very helpful in addressing any questions we had, and Eirini did a great job picking up after Ina has left the company midway of planning our trip. Thank you for changing the vatican tour just a couple days before the trip because we had a papal audience.

Everything was perfect. Andrea was willing to soak to us as many times as it took to get things right. He was accessible before and during the trip. So many details were handled by him that we didn't even need to think about. We are so glad we had the fortune of working with him.

Our Italy trip was the most amazing, every detail was heard from what we wanted. The hotel in Florence was quaint and perfectly located. The hotel in Levanto was absolutely beautiful and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we were welcomed as if we were family. The hike tour had the most amazing views and the guide was extremely knowledgeable. Once we reached Siena we were greeted by our next guide who taught about the amazing history and culture of the city. After Siena, we drove to the Tuscan valley and the timing couldn’t have been better. The rolling hills were filled with green fields and blooming trees. The hotel and tours here were perfectly planned. The wine tour at San Polo was astonishing and the cooking class at Podere Casale was like a dream. I can’t thank you enough.

Throughout the trip our family kept looking at each other and saying - I'm so glad we booked this through KimKim. It's rare to take a family trip with a multi-generational, 6-person group and everyone feels like they had a relaxing time because everything was so well organized and taken care of. It would have been so hectic to have booked everything ourselves.

The process of tailoring our trip was seamless with our specialist Caterina. She made great suggestions along the way and we ended up with an itinerary that made sure we got to do everything we wanted. As we did the trip it was clear so many times how well she had understood our travel preferences and how right she was about the way she sequenced everything. The website's trip planning and itinerary process were so easy to use. We knew exactly what we were paying for in advance and what we would have to pay for when we got there so there were no surprises. The itinerary was handy for everyone in the group to know what was coming up.

Our concierge Beatrice was super responsive throughout the trip over whatsapp, clarifying any questions we had about when we should show up to helping arrange our request for a last-minute additional guide. She provided well-organized documents for all the activites when we arrived.

The Drivers were so professional and early every time. The vehicles were high-end, in excellent condition, and comfortable for our short and long drives.

Tour Guides were all engaging for the kids, knowledgeable, and had great personalities that brought all of the sights alive. They were very organized - with backup copies of all our tickets on hand. They also often made great recommendations for us for restaurants at each location. Special mention to Ms. Simona, Chef Max, Mr. Gianni, Ms. Martina, Ms. Giusy, Mr. Alessandro, Ms. Lucia, and our guides in Assisi and the Vatican.

For activities (golf cart tour, cooking class, etc.) very high quality vendors were selected for us and we had great experiences with everything Caterina at kimkim booked for us.

Andrea and Guilia were outstanding both in planning and providing support during the trip. They very quickly understood what kind of vacation we wanted and worked closely with us to create it. They had immediate solutions for the few minor problems that arose while we were in Sicily.
Every activity and every guide they booked for us was terrific. Special kudos to Lilly in Taromina and Chiara in Palermo, whose knowledge of and pride in their history and culture made every minute special for us.
We have travelled quite a bit and used various resources to plan our trips in the past. We were extremely pleased with Andrea and Guilia who consistently went above and beyond our expectations.

My trip to Italy was truly a dream come true! It is the first trip my husband and I have been on (childless) since we had kids over 10 years ago. At first I was very overwhelmed and had no idea where to start, I was also apprehensive about using KimKim as I had no previous experience with them. I have to say, that moving forward with them was the best decision I made.

Irene was exceptional. She was extremely professional and knowledgable. Even with all my questions, fitting in my cousins wedding and a late itinerary change, she accommodated them with ease. She worked with my budget and her suggestion for tours were perfect. Everything from our hotel transfers and hotels were top-notch.

We visited Venice, Florence and Rome. We took her up on her suggestion of taking a day trip to Sienna and we are happy we did. As I mentioned, the tours she booked for us were perfect, and so happy that she did them for us. As you can imagine there are many tour operators, but from what I could see, the ones we went on were all very organized and the guides were so knowledgable and passionate about their cities. I have to recommend LivTours in Rome because the groups were small and you could tell our guides had much experience with the information they shared and how they navigated us through the crowds. We did the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel one day with Veronica and the Colosseum and Forum Grounds with Lorenzo the following day. I am so happy we did them, we learned so much and got such amazing photos.

But our favourite would have to be the Food and Wine tour with Guilla from Devour tours in Trastevere. It was great to see how the locals eat and what to look for when choosing wines and restaurants during your visit to the many restaurants and cafes in Rome.

We did a lot in 10 days and I don't believe that we would have been able to plan it as smoothly or would have been as enjoyable if Irene did not plan this for us. It was truly customized to us and that is a service that is so hard to come by nowadays.

I couldn't recommend this company enough! I am already saving for our next trip hopefully to Greece and I will definitely have Irene plan for us.

Such a lovely hotel very close to the bus and ferry terminal but not loud at all. It is a bit farther from St Mark's Square which is a much busier area but Venice is a pretty small place. The room was perfect for and the bathroom was updated and clean. We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco which is always a lovely touch. The staff was great and the buffet breakfast was really well done! Would definitely stay here again.

Room was really modern and had everything you needed. Pretty spacious considering you are in the middle of Florence. The only issue was that the A/C was not working yet because the building had not turned it on but when we left the windows opened there were so many mosquitoes. The hotel did have these Mosquito Repellant devices and those helped significantly. The location is amazing because it is close to everything.

This hotel is in a beautiful area filled with amazing restaurants and night life. But when you walk into the hotel, it is like you walk into a secret garden. They have updated the property but preserved many things to keep it's unique history and character. The staff was super pleasant. The advanced security/lock system was convenient but took me a day to understand because we arrived late at night when there was no staff present. But not a big deal.

Lorenzo was amazing and he knew exactly where to guide us to keep us comfortable, in the shade and where to get the best photos. Love that the group was small so we could bypass the bigger lines and go through the areas efficiently.

Guillia was fantastic, she is passionate about were she is from and I learned a lot about Rome I couldn't learn from anywhere else. Eleni and her team were incredible! Our family of 4 had a pretty last minute trip request to Italy and they delivered. We visited Bologna, Florence and Venice and would do it all again. Every detail was well planned out. The hotels were in perfect locations. The local tour guides and activities were wonderful and unique - we gained so much knowledge during these tours while having fun at the same time. We never could have planned something like this ourselves. We are so thankful for Eleni and her team for creating wonderful memories for our family.

Our 12 day trip planned by kimkim was amazing.!Our first stop was Venice where Marina our guide did an exceptional overview of explaining the history and uniqueness of Venice. We also took a gondola ride which was wonderfully relaxing. Vincenzo suggested a boat trip to Murano and Burano which added to the magic of Venice. Traveling by train , our next stop was Tuscany. Our driver picked us up promptly at the station and provided us with a lovely overview of the area. We arrived in Castle di Fonterutoli. It was the perfect Tuscany retreat. The serene and beautiful countryside was everything we hoped it to be. Vincenzo set up a luncheon and wine tour which was delicious and informational. We had great food and the wine tasting was fabulous! While in Tuscany , we rented a car and travelled to quaint little towns and Sienna . Next stop, Pompeii. We took a train from Florence and our driver picked us up in Naples. He was great!! He waited for us while we toured Pompeii with Paola Vitiello. She was so informative; we learned so much about Pompeii. Our driver then took us the long way along the Almafi Coast to get to our next stop which was Almafi. It was breathtaking. He stopped whenever we wanted to take pictures. We arrived in Almafi and enjoyed a day cruise to Capri which was a blast! We explored Anacapri and took the chair lift to the top. Amazing views! We also hiked The Valle delle Ferriere . We took a bus to Scalia and hiked down; wear really good shoes and be sure you are in good shape because it is a long trek. Our last stop was Rome. Great food, tours, activities and lots of people. We had a Trastevere Food Tour with Vittoria. She was such a pleasure to be with. We tried lots of food and had a beautiful dinner at her establishment. The Colosseum and Roma Tour were really enjoyable. Our last night, we enjoyed a premium wine tasting and dinner experience . It was the perfect way to end our trip. The hotels Vincenzo suggested were perfect. All in all, the trip was something we will never forget. We will certainly use kimkim for our future trips.

We took a trip to Munich, Austria and Italy.
Every stop we took was planned specifically by Fabio for our needs and our pleasure based on communication with him of what we were looking for in our travels. He listened to what we were looking for, and truly carried out every detail to make our trip an amazing one. .. one that went so smoothly. We knew that if we had any concerns, Fabio would always be there for us. There were several times we asked him a question late at night or early in the morning and he always responded within two minutes. Being in foreign countries where we do not speak the language was a little concerning, but we knew that he would always be there for us..and he was. All of our guided tours were amazing that he had set up for us. We loved every aspect of this trip and would highly recommend Fabio to anyone.

Mostly fantastic!
Pros: Planning was easy and Adriana was very responsive. Most guides were amazing (Marcus from colosseum and Silvia (Sissi) from Vatican). Having the transportation taken care of was great and all drivers were very professional. The app did make things easy (except for some itinerary discrepancies - see cons) and the team was super responsive in the app when I had questions or couldn’t find something.
Cons: mostly small things. The itinerary times on Kim Kim didn’t always match the agenda in the app leading to some confusion. Our driver one day skipped a section of the itinerary (hike up mt. Vesuvius) so room for clarity there. Hotels were just ok. I would have prioritized $$ differently and done one or two fewer tours to stay in nicer places had I realized how sub-par the hotels were (3-star places that felt more like 2-star).

The hotel is “fine.” It does the trick if you don’t care about nice accommodations. The bottles in the shower had broken nozzles that were not fixed the entire time we stayed. Room was humid in April.

Great location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room temp would not go below 22 Celsius. Staff checked on it and it was “set” to winter and could only heat. Dated interior. Broken toilet seat. Fine, not great.

Exclusive Capri Boat Tour and Blue Grotto by Sorrento

Boat section was nice - good to go around the island. Blue grotto was interesting but felt super touristy. The whole experience felt like we were getting nickel and dimed. Eg. boat guide dropped us on Capri and highly recommend we all take a shuttle at €100 for our family to Anacapri and then to Capri. Time was too short on the island so we didn’t really enjoy it - much spent on travel times. Very little direction on where to go in these towns (shopping, food, sights??) or what to do.

Pompeii was the least interesting and the tour guide didn’t really educate us the way others had. She also seemed to contradict herself.

Barbara was incredibly attuned to our needs and preferences. She was promptly responsive to our questions and adapted to our changing needs. We couldn't have hoped for a better facilitator.

Rafaella and Daniella were phenomenal. They consistently informed us regarding upcoming activities and kept us informed about itineraries, guides, drivers, et cetera.

All of our drivers were fantastic (with one exception). Not a significant factor.

Our absolute favorite was Daniele. He deserves special recognition!

We will definitely use KimKim again, and will highly recommend them to our friends and family for any future travel plans!
