Our guide was wonderful. Despite a lot of rain we had a great time. She told us so much about the plants we saw and the history of the area during the civil war. We saw some of the caves and trenches the rebels and soldiers used as well as beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The escape to nature was a wonderful change of pace from all the cities and crowds we had been in. Our guide was wonderful!

The weather dampened our experience but the visiting Man U football fans added some interest. Pestana Hotel on the River was great!

A great experience literally above the clouds!

The private day excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril was fantastic. Our guide was not only lovely but truly knew the best timings to visit each destination, allowing us to explore before the crowd of tour buses arrived. This made our experience feel personal and serene as if we had the sites to ourselves. The guide was incredibly flexible, allowing us to adapt our plans to fit our interests and pace, including accommodating a special lunch request. It was a day well spent, and we loved every moment of it!

The private river boat experience on the Douro River was a highlight of our trip. It was a special anniversary celebration, and the two young men who took us on the boat were lovely. Thanks to our specialist Marina, we had a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us, making the occasion even more special. It felt personalized and intimate, exactly what we wanted. The attention to detail and the effort to make it a memorable day were much appreciated!

Beautiful way to see the caves & coast

In the heart of the city, this gem was clean, filled with charm and offered an amazing breakfast.

Our room was in the heart of the charming city center, close to everything and yet the windows, once closed, blocked all noise. We could see the water from our balcony and walk for hours, seeing many historic sights from this hotel.

Right on the water, near a board walk that allowed you to meander all the along the coastline for many kilometers. We also loved the fact that we could walk to the historic part of the city in minutes. Finally, the rooftop restaurant, with views of the ocean, was fabulous.

Central location, easy walk to the beach, first class, excellent services

Quiet, secluded location. Intimate- maybe 5-8 suites total. 10 minute walk to a top notch restaurant, 12-15 easy walk to town. Fantastic panorama view of the coast, from our room or from the breakfast area. Enjoyed the knowledgeable wine tour (vineyard on the property). Suspect that we were in the honeymoon suite- large bathtub, well appointed. Large swimming pool. Did not make use of the exercise room, sauna, whirlpool.

Central Sintra location- a half block off of the main downtown area. Knowledgeable staff, offering suggestions of places to see. Our hikes took us up to the Moorish castle and Penna Palace. Found some excellent restaurants a short distance from the hotel. Room was first class, comfortable, well appointed

This was a 2 bed, 2.5 bath apartment in a great location. Beautiful old palace updated with all modern amenities. Would definitely stay again on my return to Porto ❤️

What an adventure. We had a great time. Small fishing village, off roading in beautiful forests that smelt like eucalyptus, swimming in volcanic pool, visiting a black sand beach and waterfalls. And that wasn’t everything ❤️

Not close to old town, but walking distance to one beach. Very large and busy hotel. Beautiful outdoor pools and seating.

The restaurant, Clube de Fado, was beautiful and the entertainment was excellent. Table service was very good. Not my favorite meal of the trip, but adequate.

Sandra was a lot of fun and very informative. The tour was longer than described, but very enjoyable.

Joao knows exactly how to make this an incredible experience. We enjoyed every single minute of the day. The Quinta lunch and tour was authentic in every way. The river cruise was very peaceful and beautiful. The views were breathtaking. Joao kept us engaged in interesting conversation during transport.

Eva was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Josez was friendly and informative. It was a very hot day, and he did his best to find shade whenever possible. We enjoyed the restaurant that he recommended for lunch.

This day was a bit of a disappointment because we were unable to see Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleira because the mountain was closed due to the fire hazard that the heat caused. We were given the option of seeing the National Palace and Queluz Palace instead, which we agreed to. Paulo was our driver and guide of Sintra. He was informative and good company. We were late getting to Queluz Palace, though, so we had to go back the next day with Marta.

This day was completely changed for us because of the previous day's issues. We saw Cascais the previous day, which was lovely. On this day, Marta took us to Obidos, which we really enjoyed. It was a great alternate plan. Then she took us back to Queluz Palace, which was absolutely incredible! We appreciated that Paulo spoke to Marta about making sure we could get back to Queluz on this day.

This was one of our favorite days of the trip. Rudy and Tina were very good at their jobs. We couldn't get into Benagil Cave due to congestion, but Rudy took us to an alternate cave that was beautiful. The yacht was gorgeous! The views were incredible! It was such a great break from all the walking.

Nicholas was very friendly and interesting. We loved seeing the countryside and learning about all the different things that grow there or are produced there. The lunch that was included was one of our best meals of the trip.

We enjoyed the evening, but it wasn't quite what we expected. We stopped at several times along the road to Sagres, but didn't explore Sagres as described in the tour info. The transport was the same old jeep as the day before.

Excellent location with easy walk to the historic city centre of Cascais. The room was large and we had a large, private balcony overlooking the pool and ocean.

Great hotel in Porto city centre. The rooms were small but well equipped.

Centrally located in the old city centre but due to road closures, it was difficult to get around by car. The beds were incredible hard and the pillows non-existant. The restaurant, bar and breakfasts were excellent. The pool and outdoor garden were excellent and nice quiet respite from the business of Evora.

Having a beautiful sea view room with a balcony was wonderful. The room was large and the beds comfortable. The pool and surrounding decks were amazing. Great poolside bar. Easy access to the ocean beach as well. Only complaint would be the dinner buffet. The food was mostly lukewarm and over cooked. We ate at the two other restaurants and this was much better than the buffet.

Our driver Carlos definitely made this trip amazing. Pena Palace was beautiful and well worth it, but there are a lot of tourists making the viewing of the palace slow. The grounds are amazing. Our driver suggested we go to the National Palace in the centre of Sintra as it was much more interesting and not as busy. I am glad he suggested it as it was truly excellent. Carlos went out of his way and bought us some local treats of Sintra for the ride.

Our guide, Bernado was very knowledgeable about the different architecture and the history of historic Porto. Only issue was that he was very soft spoken and sometimes it was difficult to hear him, especially when in the old train station where there were many other large tours taking place

The entire day was very good with a boat tour and a winery visit included. However, our driver was late picking us up, said he was feeling under the weather. Later he mentioned that he was a wedding the night before and had little sleep. His driving was erratic and he again was late picking us up at the end of the day. First he blamed a car event taking place in the town and then later said he had been sleeping while we were on the winery tour.

Great boat pilot and his guide. They both were very knowledgeable and engaging. What could beat cruising the river on a beautiful day, sipping on some sparkling wine?

Beautiful winery and a very delicious 3 course meal with wine pairings. The staff were excellent and the views outstanding. After lunch we had a winery tour with 4 tastings of various wines.

Our guide, Ana was amazing. We learned so much about the history of Lisbon and Porto.

Two hours in a Tuk Tuk to Belem was painful. Most of the trip is rushing thru traffic to get to Belem and then a quick tour around. Our guide was fine and we were able to stop and get the original Pasties de Nata.

Enjoyable night out. The food was good and the fado singers were very talented.

Our boat pilot Marta and her guide were excellent. It was pretty rough but we never where worried because of Marta's skills. Because of the rough water, there was one cave she didn't go into but we appreciated her safety-minded attidtude. The rock faces and scenery were amazing and a must see in the Algarve.

Interesting tour of Sandeman's winery. We learned a lot about Port and had excellent tastings after.

The Cascade Wellness was good, but it didn't quite live up to the five-star rating in our minds, especially after staying at the Monumental Palace. The resort itself was beautiful, but some aspects, like the service and amenities, could be improved. We had some nice staff and some staff that didn't really care about what we were talking about. Also, they had just started adding a tip into your bill at the restaurant / bar but didn't tell you about it. So, if you didn't notice it then and you tipped them, they got double tips. It just would have been nice if they pointed it out.

All of the employees at this hotel go out of their way to make sure that your stay is wonderful. Would highly recommend it and it is very centrally located in Porto.

The Fado experience was something I think everyone should do when they visit Lisbon. The meal that we were served wasn't that good at all. Probably the worse meal that we had in the 12 days we were there.

The palace was good to see, and we are glad that we went. Our driver, Petro, was very informative and the place he took us to for lunch was beautiful.

I wouldn't do this wine tour. Sandeman didn't give us very good Port wine to try and I have to tell you that all of us didn't want to have it ever again. We kept an open mind and the next winery we went to was so much better.

Our driver, Ricardo, was great. It is kind of a long day in the car, but the scenery was beautiful, and we learned a lot along the way. The boat tour along the Douro River was fun, and we really enjoyed the wine tour and lunch at Quinta da Pacheca.

Seeing the caves from the water was amazing. Glad we got to do it. They cancelled our original booking due to weather but we got to squeeze it in before leaving Lagos.

Quinta da Pacheca was well worth it. Fabio was a great tour guide, and we got to see a group stopping the grapes. Their wine is amazing, and I think everyone should do this tour as the lunch that we had was incredible.
