• The location is decent for walking to the beach at S'Arenal (a five-minute stroll), and you'll be near a park filled with pine trees.
• There's a standard buffet restaurant with lots of variety and themed dinners, but you can also grab dinner at the rooftop Asian fusion restaurant, which is popular with locals, 
• You can upgrade to rooms with sea views overlooking the pine forest, suites with outdoor furniture and hot tubs, or units in the Star Prestige category, which come with a few additional perks. 
• The spa is a great spot to spend your time, with a little bit of everything, including saunas, a Turkish bath, thermal loungers, underwater beds with bubble massage, an ice fountain, outdoor terraces, spa treatments, and more.
• If you'd like to exercise while at the hotel, you can swim in the outdoor pool, head to the gym, or take one of the fitness classes, like spinning, yoga, and Pilates.
• As a sustainable initiative, you can rent electric bikes or cars from the hotel to explore the area and island. 

Cons

• The location isn't very walkable, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive into the historic city center. 
• This is a large hotel with over 180 rooms, so it can feel busy and a little touristy at times.

Authenticity

Though not in a historical or authentic part of the city, this hotel lets you sneak outside downtown Palma and enjoy a little private oasis. The building is quite unique in its design, with its exterior and interior mimicking the island's natural elements. The architecture is meant to feel like the seacliffs of Mallorca, and you'll find plenty of natural wood and light to enhance your experience.

This Iberostar hotel is just a five-minute walk from Playa de Palma, a long stretch of sand near S'Arenal. Though this isn't the scenic part of Palma and not as walkable as the Old Town, it's a good location for those who want to experience Palma's beach and club scene. And since the hotel borders Park Llaut with its pine trees, you get a sense of privacy and a natural oasis. Plus, you'll be just 10 minutes from the airport. Grab a private transfer and head to the historic center in just 20 minutes.

You'll have your choice of plenty of room types, all offering a simple yet bright and fresh aesthetic. Neutral tones blend with bright blues to bring Mallorca's natural colors into your room, and all have comforts like air conditioning, minifridges, and coffee makers. Each unit comes with a balcony, though not all face the sea. Upgraded suites add perks like outdoor jacuzzi tubs, sea views, living rooms, and/or exclusive access to the Star Prestige private lounge area. 

Other Highlights

Sustainability

Though not as profound as some of Mallorca's most sustainable hotels, the Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma is completely free of single-use plastics. The restaurants also serve responsibly sourced fish and seafood, and you can rent electric bicycles and cars from the hotel to explore the island.
