Pros
  • The hotel's environment is serene, enveloped by tall palm trees and many beautiful plants.
  • You can swim and relax at the outdoor pool, with sun loungers divided by leafy plants to give you a bit of privacy.
  • As a family-friendly property, the little ones can enjoy the outdoor play area and kids' menus at the restaurants.
  • All rooms have furnished balconies with comfy seating, DreamMaker mattresses, Whirlpool bathtubs, bathrobes, and slippers.
  • The spa is a nice place to spend some time, with its thermal pools, sauna, steam room, and gym.
Cons
  • Parts of the hotel feel a bit outdated, including the lounge furnishings, bedspreads in some rooms, and other decor.
  • Cala d'Or is a popular destination for its coast, but from the hotel, the beach is a 10-minute walk.

Authenticity

Melia Cala d'Or Boutique Hotel blends in with its natural surroundings and Mediterranean culture. The white-washed building and antique furnishings offer a classic look at what Mallorca once was, and there's plenty of privacy with all the vegetation, so you can be in a busy tourist spot and still feel those relaxed island vibes.

Location

Greenery, gardens, and tall palms surround the hotel's property, all set on a quiet street and a 10-minute walk to the nearest beach, Playa Cala Gran. You can also easily stroll to the town's bars and eateries, though exploring the rest of the area is best with a rental car or private transfer. Mallorca's most southern coast, where you'll find two of the most scenic beaches on the island, Cala Màrmols and El Caragol, is just about a half hour away.

Rooms & Bathrooms

You have your choice of four room types, most maintaining a classic Spanish theme. The premium room category is more modern, with lots of natural light and neutral tones. The others have classic or antique furnishings and traditional tile floors, which could feel outdated. All have furnished balconies or patios, and suites add dining areas, sofas, and kitchenettes.

Other Highlights

The outdoor pool is a great place to relax, surrounded by greenery and gardens with sunbeds and loungers. There's also an indoor lounge, an outdoor playground for kids, and a wellness area with hot tubs, a sauna, a steam room, and a gym. For meals, you can dine at the three on-site eateries. Es Llaüt is an a-la-carte restaurant with local food and an extensive wine list, whereas Sa Pastera is a bit more casual, set near the outdoor pool with a kids' menu. For drinks, coffee, and pastries, head to the lounge bar, Westarea.
