This scenic twenty-minute flight takes you over the Kali Gandaki Gorge to the town Jomsom at the southern edge of the Mustang region. Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of Dhaulagiri (26,795 ft), Nilgiri (23,166 ft), and the entire Annapurna Himal.

The airport in Jomsom lies on the western edge of Jomsom within the river valley of the upper Kali Gandaki. Tara & Yeti Airlines operate daily flights between Pokhara and Jomsom. Keep in mind that flights only operate in the morning, as often it gets too windy to fly in the afternoon. There is minimal screening at the airport in Pokhara, but best to show up at least 45 minutes in advance of your flight.

Public buses ply the route between Jomsom and towns in the lower Kali Gandaki region, and onward to Pokhara. The route is long, bump, and on narrow dirt roads that hug the edge of the canyon. Normally it takes around 10 hours and the roads are often closed due to mudslides during the monsoon (June to August) season.
