The trip that Guðmundur Óli put together for us in Iceland was absolutely epic. We had a variety of experiences based on our requests and boy did it pay off. We experienced waterfalls, black beaches, hot springs, gorges with amazing views; and saw the puffins on the cliff's edge! I'm a puffin fan now! Really enjoyed the snowmobiling, kayaking and hiking on the glacier to ice cave. What an incredible experience. Saw wildlife along the way which was an added bonus to the trip. We averaged approximately 18K-20K steps per day and climbed to the highest points to get better vantage points along the ring road and south coast. Gummi arranged the best hotels and even provided excellent restaurant recommendations as well as an organized google map daily so we could follow the instruction and get to our destination in plenty of time. Gummi was always available to answer questions and add on additional excursions when requested. The overall experience with kimkim was great. All we needed to do was pack our bag, show up and follow the app. Can't beat that for the best vacation ever! Thank you for a great experience.

Really enjoyed this property. It is very central to everything you need to walk to in Reykavik. Parking is off site but easy to find with the Parka app. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby to choose from. Breakfast was downstair and easily accessible. The bed was comfortable and a nice well equipped bathroom.

The rooms were very spacious with chairs and couch to enjoy the view. the black out curtain was nice to get a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking and excursions. The restaurant on site was nice with a common area in the lobby as well as bar. Enjoyed the sauna for some well needed respite from a long day!

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Kayaking Excursion

The lagoon we kayaked on was beautiful with floating icebergs. There are a lot of activities going on at the same time, so a little bit of a traffic jam on the water. Suited up and got plenty of instruction. Would have like to hear more details about the icebergs themselves and the environment but a fun activity indeed.

Faxaflói Bay Whale Watching Excursion

This by far was one of the highlights of our trip. Saw humpback whales and minke whales and they appeared to be following our boat. Very entertaining with slapping the water and full breaches by the whales. What an incredible experience.

Gummi built us an awesome trip that included lots of things any firs time visitor to Iceland should do, while mostly keeping us out of tourist hell. Gummi was available for questions and to give tips/advice during our 9 day stay in Iceland as well. We particularly enjoyed driving through the Highlands on the F Roads and the snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure. We're usually big self planners for trips, but being that we only decided to go away for our anniversary about 2.5 months before the trip there was no time to plan it ourselves, and Gummi took all that stress away. A trip anywhere is all about balance, and I definitely think Gummi built out a quality itinerary that balanced seeing as much as possible without overbooking the days to the point that we were just running from place to place and could take our time if we found something we really wanted to see.

I think we actually preferred the Sky Lagoon over the Blue Lagoon. It wasn't as busy and felt much more calming and serene. Sky Lagoon provided a much more intimate and relaxing experience compared to the more touristy Blue Lagoon.

Gummi provided us with a very detailed and appropriate itinerary for a family of four adults that wanted to drive the ring road on their first ever trip to iceland. We got to see the highlights of the golden circle and see the beauty of the East Fjords and the Northern Coast. If you are looking to go off of the beaten path, I would recommend going along the Northern Coast and to the East Fjords. We went to Blue Lagoon, Forest Lagoon and Sky Lagoon. All places are lovely and packed full of tourists. The Ring Road was a wonderful, one land drive around the entire country and through some very unique mountain passes and tunnels. Seeing the different views of the Oceans and Mountains of Iceland was incredible. Iceland has unique geology and geographic features. We most enjoyed the puffins, the ice cave and Diamond Beach.

Most valuable was Gummi’s detailed daily itinerary. It made logistics a breeze by setting out each activity, giving step by step travel instructions, and telling us how much time to allocate for each activity. He kept us on time when we needed it. Gummi was always accessible to answer questions and make changes on the fly.

And now for something completely different: He’s a Monty Python fan. Perfect for us!

Would highly recommend KimKim, especially if this is your first time to Iceland, and that too in a busy tourist season. You’ll have to do a lot of research to make up for the benefit of having a tour guide making trip plans for you. Hanna was amazing, very proactive and communicative, and took care of every bit of detail. You will often take longer than planned at every site, so do not jam it in. Enjoy the sights and experiences and you’ll have a lovely time!

Adam did an amazing job helping us plan this epic 11-day Iceland trip for our family of five! He accommodated our suggestions and requests and added in other stops and excursions that we would never have known about otherwise, but thoroughly enjoyed. The google maps each day were perfectly planned out and we hit almost every one of them! Adam was very responsive when we had questions or comments, even in the middle of our trip. There were only two very slight drawbacks. One of the five hotels we stayed in (for four of the 10 nights) was a very basic guesthouse with tiny rooms that had condensation on the walls/ceiling and a lot of wear and tear. Definitely not the caliber of the other hotels. Also, we were only booked for one night instead of two at our last hotel in Reykjavik, however the team was able to very quickly book us at another hotel only a block away for the second night in deluxe rooms. Overall, we had a fantastic experience using kimkim and would use them again for another trip!

Noga saved us a lot of time with bookings during peak season when we were a bit late to get started. She also provided some great recommendations that we leveraged while in Iceland. For example, the Glymur waterfall hike and Hvammsvik Hot Springs both made for a great Day 6.

We have used kimkim on three trips, and our experience on this trip with Guomundur (Gummi) was our best yet.

The trip was amazing. Gummi was super helpful with our itinerary and notes for each day. We went to his suggested restaurants-all were spot on -our favorite was the first dinner at Nardeyastofa in Stykkishólmur. The drive from Stykkisholmur around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula was spectacular!! The glacier ice cave tour with Southcoast Adventure was terrifying and beautiful and a highlight of our trip. The glacier lagoon, the puffins at Dyrhólaey the waterfalls… we never would have been able to see everything without Gummi as our guide!

A once in a lifetime trip! Emanuela helped us plan an amazing vacation that fit everything we asked for into an active 8 day adventure.

She was in touch along the way to make sure all was running smoothly. We deeply appreciate her and would recommend her and Kim Kim to anyone looking to plan an unforgettable experience.

Our only issue was that some of the driving maps took us to the incorrect spots (off by a couple of km). But it was easily fixed.

Everything was sorted out for us it was easy with no issues. The activities booked were excellent. The sea kayak was good. The daily schedule was fantastic and the maps provided made it all very easy. One map on the first day led us to somebody’s house not the volcano so that was the only minor issue we had all week. The best part of the week was the glacier trek, that was outstanding well worth doing if you are able.
All things considered it was an outstanding adventure.

Gummi helped plan us the most incredible trip to Iceland! Somehow, each day things got a bit more extraordinary! Each accommodation, each restaurant, each tour...was perfectly curated for what we told Gummi was important to us. I keep telling friends who ask that our itinerary was quite literally perfect. Wouldn't have changed a single thing. We are so grateful to KimKim and to Gummi for helping us make those memories.

Our trip to Iceland was fantastic! We let Eric know what our goals were, and he put together a well-thought-out and well-arranged plan.
1) The day we landed in Keflavik we had a day to reorient due to the 5 hour time change. Driving was not too different from the US so that part was fairly easy.
2) The idea of doing snorkeling and hiking excursions the first 4 days of our trip was a great idea as we had the most energy to do these adventures at the beginning of the trip.
3) The food and drink recommendations were also great! The food in Iceland was superb!
4) The climbs the participants needed to perform on the Solheimajokull glacier hike turned out to be too much physically for me as I have asthma. I was able to get on the glacier yet not able to complete the climb which was disappointing. My daughter and others in the group completed successfully. I was able to complete all our other adventures.
5) We had specific excursions that Eric arranged and tickets purchased. He also included self guided things to look at and do which we did most of. This was very helpful to have these additional things to do that were discretionary.
6) My favorite and the reason I chose Iceland was to snorkel between the tectonic plates in the Silfra fissure. This was amazing! My daughter's favorites were the snorkeling and the Solheimajokull glacier hike.
7) When we arrived in Reykjavik for our last 3 nights, we didn't account for time to go to any museums. It would have been helpful to have an estimated time to allow for the self guided things to do.
8) I would not recommend the Fosshotel Nupar. It had mold in corners on the outside door and the bathroom. The Greenhouse Hotel in Hveragerdi and the Exeter in Reykjavik were wonderful.
9) We were well prepared for the weather with the suggestions we received for clothing needed for our trip.
10) We were charged for car rental which was not expected as it is not listed in the Excludes section of the itinerary. Is this correct?

What a fantastic adventure in Iceland! My Tour planner, Gummi, was so incredibly helpful with planning out my schedule so I could see as much as Iceland as possible in the time I had available. Rinolda was AMAZING! I took my 17 y/o niece on a 9 day adventure through Iceland. I shared my goals with Rinolda- I wanted to see as much as we could without overwhelming a teenager with too rigourous a schedule. She nailed it. And on extremely short notice! Everything was so well organized. I especially appreciated the drive plan she provided for each day. We knew exactly where were were going, how long each stretch was and she even had suggestions for stops along the way with interesting things to see and places to stop for snacks and meals. I can not say enough about how wonderful it was to have such a well planned and organized trip.

Each day felt like a new adventure and we LOVED taking in all the beautiful scenery! Highlights for us were the Arnarstapi-Hellnar Coastal Walk- the views were breathtaking! Truly spectacular. And the small hidden gem resturant at the end of the trail tucked in the hillside over a secluded beach topped off an already awe inspiring day. The fish soup was *chefs kiss*.

The Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon zodiac boat tour was spectacular. This blew my mind. Gorgeous, informative, the company had incredible guides and the views, including seeing the seals and being up close and immersed in the beauty of the Lagoon is definitely an experience that should not be missed.

I honestly can not say enough about the quality of the trip, the details, the planning and all of the suggestions. So happy we found KimKim and especially, Rinolda.

I travelled to Iceland with my 18-year old son and we both had an amazing trip. The service from Hanna was exceptional. Every aspect of our trip was well planned, catered to our requirements and needs and followed a detailed discussion. Hanna suggested a couple of experiences we haven’t heard about before. And, she remained responsive even after everything was agreed and paid for and stayed in touch while we were in Iceland.
Definitely a Mum and Son trip to remember.
