We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation thanks to KimKim. Everything that we had planned and scheduled for us ran extremely smoothly and really gave us the picture of Italy we had hoped to discover. The transportation between locations (trains, private cars, etc) all ran as well as you could expect even with some delays.

All of the private tours we got to go on were incredible, and led by the perfect people! Suzy and Valerio in Venice, Paola and Semonetta (?) leading our cooking class in Chianti, Massimo and Marco doing our colosseum and Ape tours in Rome, and Christian as our skipper for our boat ride in Sorrento. Everybody was welcoming and excited to share the rich history and culture of all the parts of Italy with us, it really helped us get immersed and lose ourselves in the beauty of it all.

An added bonus of course was having the travel team available pretty much all day every day when we had hiccups come up. It was always a quick response to get us back on track, and options when things started to go awry.

And the most thank you to Tasos for setting up this perfect trip and all of his recommendations as we were trying to decide what to do and where to go. He even left us an anniversary present at our 2nd accommodation which was very sweet!

All in all, we got to explore all over Italy without having to worry about any tiny details. We got to go at our own pace and when we did have tours events planned, we could just show up to places when we needed to and get taken care of. We will use KimKim on our next international vacation and any trips that come up in the future!

My wife and I decided to book our honeymoon to Italy with KimKim and could not have been happier about the decision! Ina and Harrys were so helpful from the initial planning stage, to the end and took all the pressure off of us for deciding on where to go, what to do, booking and execution of all the details. Our trip included several different desitnations packed into a short amount of time. It was not simple to plan and we were very impressed with the seamlessness of all of the travel logistics, airport pickups, hotel bookings, etc. Absolutely would reccomend to anyone considering using KimKim for a trip to Italy or elsewhere! We will certainly be doing so again in the future!

Where to start describing our wonderful Italy vacation. Ina with KimKim did a great job in the planning process and was very helpful in making our dream trip come true. Total of 11 days with stays in Rome, a Tuscany Villa and Amalfi. Every detail was laid out with precision and went off without a hitch. I can't tell you how much stress was relieved by the seamless execution. I think we only had to contact the CareTeam twice and they were quick to reply and address any question or small change. All the drivers that picked us up and took us from point A to B were always on time and professional. Our train tickets were all provided and the timing worked well every time. Car rental was arranged and met every expectation. We had private tours of Pompeii, Capri and the Colussim as well as a cooking class. Pompeii was definitely my favorite, our guide had a passion and extensive knowledge that she shared and made the tour amazing. All the recommendations for sites, walking tours and restaurants during our self guided time were spot on. It saved a lot of time so we were not doing all the research.
Most of the people in Italy were awesome and engaging. A few not as much. Food in the 3 different regions was different - most very good, some ok. The boat trip from Patisano to Capri was a little long. Started at 9am and we got back about 6:30 pm. It was absolutely beautiful!! Our stop on Capri for lunch could have been a little earlier, maybe around 12 or 1 instead of 2 or 3. Bring snacks with you.

The drivers to and from the airport, train station and hotels were fantastic. The boat ride on Lake Garda with Fabio was great. He was a wealth of information, He made it a lot of fun.

The boat ride on Lake Como was nice. The boat captain did not offer much information. We had to ask him to even take our photo.
The hike around Lake Como was great, but it was a little long. We were hiking for 8 hours with a 1.5 hour break for lunch.

The trip detail update/vouchers arrived as we were leaving for the airport, so no time to print/ review prior to our departure.
There were some inaccuracies in the trip plan/voucher.
1) incorrect pick-up location indicated for Vesuvius & pompeii tour. We were late & nearly missed the tour
2) Incorrect pickup time indicated on trip detail for skydiving tour
3) Vouchers did not include e-ticket link for Vesuvius & Pompeii. This caused entry issues & we needed to stand in line & buy a ticket for pompeii
4) trip detail indicated guided tour for Vesuvius & Pompeii. The actual tour included a driver only. A guide at Pompeii would have been helpful

Irene was INCREDIBLE. I do not have words to describe how well she planned this trip for us.

Our guides in Tuscany that drove us around were some of the best. We laughed and learned and they kept us safe.

Overall A+++

Our 10 day trip to Italy was vey well planned out by Elena.
All corresponding E mails were answered quickly.
We visited Florence, Venice and Sicily.
Our transportation included, trains, and personal drivers. We arranged our own plane flights.
We were a party of 7, family and friends.
One of our flights was delayed. We texted Elena thru WhatsApp and an alternative driver was there to meet us.
The hotels she choose for us were top notch. All the hotels were centrally located.
Visiting another country is fun but can be stressful. Elena and her team removed the stress which in return let us
have all the fun.

Amalfi Coast Boat Tour From Sorrento

Probably the most fun tour of our entire trip. Small group of friendly people, with a crew that knew how to have fun and take us to all the most interesting places to swim. Amalfi and Positano were beautiful, and the entire view of the coast from the sea with a pleasant breeze keeping us cool and comfortable was wonderful, as were the complimentary glasses of prosecco and our panini lunch. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a large group and needed to make a lot of pivots and edits to our trip and he never seemed frustrated and always responded with positivity and a feeling that he was excited to make a trip that we were happy with. Okay apartment but better for smaller groups given the layout. The main challenge was the bathrooms did not have doors in 2 of the bedrooms making sharing hard and the sink was outside of the bathroom. There were also some places that seemed to have mildew. The spaces are were overall small and we ended up just keeping some of our luggage in the living room. Beds were comfortable, the outdoor area was lovely, great location. The manager was very helpful with recommendations , trouble shooting, helping us organize transportations, etc. We really appreciated his help during the trip.

As a former travel agent, I normally do my own trip planning. This time I didn't have time to do in depth research for a short 5 day trip to Italy decided to find a travel agent. After some on line searching, I came across KimKim and saw they were highly rated by both clients and some well known business organizations so I thought I would give them a try. They did not disappoint.

Ina was the travel expert assigned to my trip and she did an excellent job. The hotels she recommended were very nice and centrally located. Restaurant recommendations were very good, too. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun. Transfers to/from the train stations/airports and hotels were easy. We did have one travel glitch due to a train schedule change which meant contacting the Traveler Care Team who was able to reschedule a hotel transfer for a later arrival. The only downside was that it resulted in an additional cost.

All in all, I was satisfied with all of the arrangements.

The rooms were our nicest of the trip. However, we had an unforgettable experience with one of the managers when one of us accidentally broke a vase in the lobby. This was a very freak thing, and completely accidental, but the manager informed us we’d be responsible for ‘property damage.’ He phoned at 10:15 PM to discuss the issue-we had traveled all day and were both asleep. The issue was eventually resolved, later in the week, with a payment from us. I must suggest not booking this hotel in the future.

We used KimKim for our recent trip to the Southern coast of Italy and it was incredible. Harris and his team had every detail planned so we were able to show up with minimal planning and zero stress. Everything they planned ran true to schedule and was an excellent time. Will use KimKim for every trip moving forward!

Just got back from Italy: Milan, Lake Garda, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, Chianti area, Pompei, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello. Jessica delivered my dream! While I wanted some of the most famous tourist attractions, I also wanted a variety, including "off the beaten path" opportunities with the local people. Additionally, we hoped for smaller more private groupings to be able to really talk and learn about the places we visited. Jessica listened and chose beautifully!

Lake Garda was INCREDIBLY beautiful. We circled the lake visiting Salo, Limione, and staying in Riva (which I felt was the best.) Elena in Sirmione was fantastic at completing the historical perspective of the lake. Sara in Venice gave us the lay of the land, the history, and introduced us to incredible cicchetti! Unusual and delicious! Saura took us to the best of Cinque Terre (Manarola), Chiro the best of the Amalfi Coast (Ravello!), and Pompeii with Mario was fantastic...blew our minds with the knowledge. In Florence, I booked a 6:30 Arno River ride, the Accademia, Palazzo Vecchio tour, and the special tour of the Duomo including the terraces! Swimming in the Sea with our small group near Capri will never be forgotten. Tulio Bondi and his gelato making experience, Christina at Campanelle Winery, and Chef Fiore in his restaurant on the Amalfi Coast were highlights for the tastebuds and made us feel like royalty! So special.

Transportation could have been intimidating...but not with Storywalking. Professional, courteous, punctual, and kind, we loved talking to all of them - and learned so much about their lives. David, Giuseppe, Max, Ricardo, are just a few that shared their love of home. Ricardo's personal history of being German, Greek & Italian was so interesting. You don't get that on a bus or train! We had a major car issue (on a Sunday) and were so glad to have Jessica, Barbara, and all their local connections to save our day, our trip! What would we have done without them?? Not really sure! Honestly.

Lodging - I asked for a few upgrades and Jessica didn't disappoint. Beautiful and memorable.
And the weather (September) - downright perfect! Most days in the 70s and low 80s. Some rain, but didn't stop anything.
Pacing was good....never felt rushed!

Limoncello Tour & Tasting

So... you think you are going to learn about lemons and taste it, but Chef Fiore takes it to a whole other level. A tour and information about his lemon garden at his rental home, then back to make some Limoncello as a group, followed by a 4/5 course gourmet meal....each course having a bit of lemon in it! We had no idea that we were going to get a meal like that!! The food just kept coming. :-) And the view - incredible!! Perfect final touch to our trip!

Full Day Tour: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

Chiro was smart about our trip! Took us directly to Amalfi before the crowds arrived. It was lovely to be in the square and feel the peace before the chaos (which we saw when we came down from Ravello. Ravello was our favorite! Gorgeous villa, gardens, square and quiet shopping. We headed to our Limoncello experience next, which went from about 12:30 - 3:30. Chiro squeezed Positano in at the end....and we wished we would have skipped it. We were on a high after our Limoncello experience and the 5 course gourmet lunch. It had been the PERFECT ending to our trip!! Instead we walked through a very crowded Positano just to see it. Hindsight, for us, not needed. Got back to Sorrento about 6:30. Long day.

We arrived around 9:30 and decided to just enjoy the harbor area. We were near the end of the trip and kind of tired of big crowds. We enjoyed coffee and pastries...and later had lunch. People who went up (the LONG line ) of the funicular enjoyed the garden and shopping. We got on the boat around 1:15 and the skies cleared and it was FANTASTIC! No blue grotto due to tides, but the rest, including swimming was wonderful! Loved it. Food included was a ciabatta bun with tomato and mozzarella. Fruit cup later, chips, wine, beer, limoncello. Fun!

We woke up in Florence after coming back from Cinque Terre the previous day. It was a day excursion and we LOVED the first winery - Capannelle!! What a gorgeous place and amazing experience with Christina. Magical!! Ricardo was our fantastic driver. Loved talking with him. He took us to Greve for lunch and that was wonderful, too. We went to a second winery, but it paled in comparison to the first. More commercial and slooooow. We decided to skip the tour portion (we waited and waited to begin) and head back to Florence as it was almost 5:30 and we had left at 8:00. In hindsight, we wished that we had checked into the Capannelle Winery Inn after Cinque Terre, woken up to the breakfast and tour, then had another night there to enjoy the pool and walk the countryside. We ended up in the car a bit more than we needed?? This was the only thing we would have changed about the whole trip!!

Saura took the best care of us! She shared all about Manarola - gorgeous and fascinating history! She took us places we wouldn't have know were there. We then learned how to take the train....and went to Monterosso. Loved the winery experience and shopping a bit in the city. She introduced us to a chickpea flat bread, that was delicious. We did go to Riomaggiore, but quite frankly, it wasn't needed. We had had the best time in the other two....and it was busy and just lots of shopping. We could have headed back to Florence earlier. (Or even better to The Campanelle Winery - our next day's excursion - to stay for the next two nights!)

Our trip to Italy with KimKim travel was nothing short of fabulous. We started our planning with Arianna, who I would highly recommend. She pays close attention to detail and I could tell she truly cared about us. She told us the truth about her opinions on things while also respecting our ideas.
Once we got to Italy, we ended up checking in fairly late to our first hotel as we were spending time with family that lived there. The hotel even contact KimKim to check on us and Barbara texted us to be sure we were ok. It really showed how much they were going to be there for us and made me feel super safe. All of our transportation to and from places was so clean and the drivers were knowledgeable. I also LOVED every place we stayed in. Our hotel hosts were kind, supportive, answered our questions and went above and beyond for us. We even made so many friends through them!
Jessica was also very helpful in working to help us add a last minute adventure while we were there.
I cannot recommend KimKim enough. Thank you a million!
