Our journey was amazing and smooth, starting with the planning stage with Mohamad and Said, who quickly suggested several itineraries for us to choose from that fit our travel plans for the five of us ladies from Brunei.

Upon arriving in Marrakesh, we were welcomed by our fantastic driver, Sameer, who stayed with us throughout the trip, ensuring a smooth and safe experience in Morocco. Hanan, our female tour guide in Marrakesh, showed us the city's highlights and introduced us to the best Marrakesh food. We also enjoyed a hot air balloon ride in Marrakesh with stunning views of the sunrise.

We had an unforgettable glamping experience in the Agafay Desert, where we rode camels, learned to craft a tajine pot, and wore turbans. Waking up to the stunning view of the Atlas Mountains was breathtaking, and the performances during dinner by the camp staff were truly amazing.

Sameer also took us to the impressive Hassan II Mosque and arranged a quick trip to Rabat on our way to Fes. In Fes, Sharif guided us through the historic city and helped us learn about Morocco’s handicrafts.

This trip gave us a deep dive into Moroccan cuisine, including the delicious tajine, grilled lamb, couscous, Moroccan breakfast, and the famous Moroccan tea.

The accommodations arranged by the team were fantastic, and we had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people at Riad Le Pelerin, Inara Camp, and Riad Salam Fes.

We hope to return to Morocco to explore more places, like the Sahara Desert and Chefchaouen. We highly recommend using kimkim and will encourage our fellow Bruneians to book their travels through kimkim for an unforgettable experience.

Morocco was a once in a lifetime trip for me. I wish we could have spent more time in some of the accommodations and planned for downtime to enjoy the area.

All the rooms are different! My room was nice but over the courtyard that people ate dinner so I wasn't able to sleep until they were done cleaning up. For me, I listened to a book and relaxed.

My husband and I recently did a 12-day tour with Wanderlust Voyages in Morocco. It was incredible -- and I do not have sufficient words to describe how strongly I recommend Wanderlust. We had a positive experience from the initial inquiry through to our drop-off at the airport.

We chose to do a custom itinerary, starting and ending in Marrakech (where I was traveling for work). We visited Marrakech, the Boulmane Dades, Erg Chebbi, Fes, Chefchauouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and then back to Marrakech. We began our inquiry with Wanderlust with a detailed survey and Megan and her team did an amazing job of pulling together an itinerary that captured everything we were interested in, making recommendations about when/where to do certain activities, and identifying absolutely incredible riads and lodging. They were also incredibly quick in responding, making adjustments that we were interested in, and providing additional detail and information when we asked.

Our itinerary was perfect -- and complete kudos go to Megan and the team for pulling together such a stellar trip! The only thing I would change would be to add another night at Erg Chebbi (giving us two total) so that we could have a full desert day -- but that would have required a longer trip. Everything from the riads they selected, to the balance of guided tours, free time, activities, and sight-seeing was perfect. This was the first trip I've booked through a travel agency, and I would 100% do it again.

I also want to give a special shout-out, thank you, and note of appreciation to our incredible driver, Hassan Amraoui. Our experience would not have been the same without him. Hassan went out of his way to give us an amazing experience. He doubled as a tour guide, kept everything running smoothly, on-time, and hassle-free, and did it all with such positive energy & a smile on his face. We left Morocco feeling like we gained a true friend during our stay! Hassan, thank you!

Our trip highlights included:
- Marrakech & the many sights and activities that the medina has to offer. The detailed architecture is truly breathtaking, and each stop in Marrakech presents something special and unique.
- Erg Chebbi. INCREDIBLE. The rolling dunes of sand are breathtaking, and the desert luxury camp is a must-see!
- Fes was such a fun city & so, so different from Marrakech. We were very grateful to have a guide in the medina -- it's not an easy one to navigate! But, a must-see!
- Chefchaouen. A beautiful town, and wandering through the medina spalshed in hundreds of shades of blue was phenomenal.
- Hammam. A must-do! We did ours at Riad Kniza in Marrakech and it was the perfect way to relax, and wind down after a long trip.
- We particularly loved our two riads in Marrakech: La Maison Arabe and Riad Kniza. They were absolutely stunning.

Thank you Megan, Winnie, Hassan, and the many guides and riad staff who gave us such an unforgettable, magical experience in Morocco. We would love to return!

Our recent trip to Morocco, organized by Original Travels Co via KimKim, was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, personalized, and stress-free. The team truly listened to our specific requests and tailored the itinerary to fit our interests, even accommodating special activities like a relaxing hammam experience. They also made sure to remove any activities that didn't appeal to us, which made the trip even more enjoyable.

One of the standout features was how the trip took our health conditions into account. KimKim was thoughtful in ensuring that all activities were accessible and manageable, so we could focus on enjoying the experience without any worries. We also loved the balance between guided excursions and free time for exploration. Having the flexibility to explore on our own was perfect, while the local guides provided insightful and enriching tours when needed.

The safety aspect was also a top priority. We always felt well-informed and secure, knowing what to expect each day. This made the trip truly worry-free, which was especially valuable in a country where navigating remote areas could otherwise be challenging.

What really set this trip apart, though, was the Moroccan guide, Tayeb who took us around and was highly knowledgeable about all the parts of Morocco we went to (Casablanca, Marrakesh, Fez, Merzouga, Chefchaouen, Ouarzazate). He helped us experience Moroccan culture in a way we wouldn't have been able to on our own, from hidden gems to authentic experiences. This local perspective added depth to our understanding of the country and made the journey even more memorable.

Overall, Original Travels Co via KimKim Travels provided incredible value for the cost. It's an investment that was absolutely worth it, especially in a destination like Morocco where the logistics of travel can be complex. I highly recommend KimKim for anyone looking for a stress-free, customized adventure with a personal touch. They even gave us a free upgrade in our stay in Marrakesh for when we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Our guide and driver Oussama is superb. He is considerate, responsive, pragmatic, knowledgeable, has a good sense of humour, and he goes extra miles to be helpful. We have enjoyed his company over the journey and are thankful for his presence and assistance throughout the trip.

The organizers Said and Hazma are both excellent, indeed impeccable.

The place they chose for us to stay, Riad Le Pèlerin, was both modern and beautiful. The staff—Abdul Karim, Rashid, and Ismael—were incredibly hospitable and accommodating, helping us with our luggage through the long alleyway to the riad.

We had a wonderful female tour guide, Hanan, who showed us around Marrakesh, including the Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fna, and the vibrant market. Although there was a lot of walking, Hanan provided us with insightful historical and cultural knowledge. Her restaurant recommendation, Hajd Mustafa, was excellent, and the lamb was particularly delicious. A highlight was the stop at Koutoubia Herbal, where they introduced us to their own beauty products, which was a nice touch for us ladies.

Our decision to take a hot air balloon ride turned out to be a fantastic one; the views were breathtaking. The overnight stay at Inara Desert Camp was also a memorable experience, especially the camel ride.

Riad As Salam was equally beautiful, with its vibrant decor and warm hospitality. The staff was very helpful, assisting with carrying our large bags to our rooms.

In Fes, our tour guide Sherif took us through the souks and intricate alleys, sharing fascinating stories about the different family artisans who have been practicing their crafts for generations and along with it, we had the chance to shop for unique treasures. We had a lot of fun, especially during our laugh-filled exploration of the "hug me" alley.

Throughout our entire journey, Sameer was an excellent driver. He was always accommodating and ensured we felt safe, especially as we were all women traveling together. He was also knowledgeable, providing explanations and answering our questions during the road trips.

The trip was flawless and everything planned went smoothly. Hamza and Said were extremely helpful in helping us decide on the route and stops. Illyas was our driver and was extremely friendly and a very safe drive. Local guides were all very good as were the hotels.

Our favourite stop was our overnight in the Sahara as well as the spectacular drive the following day through the Atlas Mountains.

Cannot say enough about how well this trip was organized and the thoughtfulness of each and every person who helped us.

Noureddine - was the driver extraordinaire! We told him as well but he is a young man his parents should be very proud of. He was a safe driver in addition to thoughtful and funny. We were particularly grateful for his driving skills going to and from the Agafay Desert (those were questionable "roads") and while in Casablanca. We were genuinely sad to part company with him.

Marrakech
Hanan - was a terrific guide both for our walking tour of Marrakech as well as the food tour. She was knowledgeable, kind and showed us some very special places. She also introduced us to our new favorite cookie - the chebakia. She set the bar very high for the rest of the guides in Morocco.

La Maison Arabe Hotel was lovely. They graciously fed us when we arrived later than planned (thanks to flight delays). The room was perfect and breakfast was very filling. We enjoyed eating by the pool and hearing the birds.

Agafay Desert
Inara Desert Camp - never did I think our one night in the desert would involve a significant rain storm and thick clouds which meant no glorious sunset or stars. The one bright spot was our sunset camel ride was rescheduled to a sunrise ride the next morning. Our dinner was DELICIOUS! We were honestly floored by how yummy it was. The Inara staff were fun and charming.

Essaouira
Hassan - was a knowledgeable and considerate guide. He made the history come alive and told wonderful stories.

Heure Bleue Palais - was stunning. Our room was well appointed and we loved that the room looked out on the grand courtyard. It was pretty magical hearing from our room the little trio play into the evening. They sang Beseme Mucho which is one of our favorite songs.

Casablanca
Noureddin - handled driving us around very well and ensured we got to the Hassan II Mosque in time for our tour (which was tricky due to road closures) as well as a walk around the Medina.

Le Casablanca Hotel - a lovely hotel. Dinner and breakfast were very good and reading by the pool was a surprisingly quiet considering the city was just outside the walls.

Rabat
Noureddin - once again handled the driving with care for our day trip to Rabat. We are still talking about our visit to Chellah. It was fascinating and not what we expected.

We definitely felt that our requests were heard and expectations met. Thank you to all - both who we interacted with but also who managed "behind the scenes" - for a truly awe-inspiring trip.

We are not into camping so this was the perfect type of stay in a tent for us. The extra touches (e.g. the shop, fun sculptures) were fun.

Heure Bleue was marvelously grand. Breakfast was yummy and they took care of some laundry for us which we desperately needed. Probably our favorite moment was hearing the trio playing in the courtyard while in our room play Beseme Mucho which is a song we love.

We ended up having to take this tour our second evening and after our walking tour because of flight delays. It was all delicious. Our guide, Hanan, took us to a variety of places which was fun. We particularly liked chebekia and sought them out during the rest of our stay in Morocco as well as in Barcelona.

We had no expectations for Rabat and were surprised. We particularly enjoyed Chellah. That was a marvelous site to visit with the different structures from various time periods.

We can not say enough about our driver for 11 days named Said. He was our guardian angel. We felt well taken care of from the moment we stepped off the plane in Tangier, until we left Casablanca 11 days later. He anticipated our needs every step of the way. Always making sure where we needed to be. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was a great tour guide.

Our lodging was fabulous. We chose COMFORT level which was great. We stayed in riads for the most part which were beautiful and colorful and always served a substantial breakfast and more.

Our city guides in Chefhouan/ Abdul and Fes were topnotch historians. Every city guide would take us around to visit the local artisans to learn about ceramics, leather, bakeries, rug making, woodworking and etc and learn about Moroccan customs.

We enjoyed learning about wine making in Morocco when we were in the Meknes area and experienced a tasting at Domaine de la Zounia. Very enjoyable.

We loved seeing the beautiful Sahara for the first time and riding a camel. Great adventure. On our way to Marrakech we saw so much beautiful land and met lovely people. Saw where date production occurs, desert oasis, gorges, the middle and the high Atlas and more. We learned so much.

Osam in Ait Ben Haddou was a very knowledgeable guide.

Hayden in Marrakech was our FoodTour guide and city guide. He was flexible and knowledgeable. Had good connections with locals.

Our guide in Casablanca was very knowledgeable of the Hassan II Mosque describing the intricacies of the mosque and the open hearted and kind king.

We were impressed with the interesting backgrounds and all of the guides multiple language skills.

Could have used a couple of respite days but that is my fault for not planning it in.

There are so many more good things that happened on our trip which would exhaust me to share. Fabulous trip! Morocco is a beautiful country.

We were a group of 5 Muslims ladies coming to Morocco for the first time, and hence opted for a travel guide during the entire trip. We were greeted by Samir, who remained our loyal driver for the 6-day journey. While in Marrakesh, we had an amazing stay at the Riad Le Pelerin - Beautiful interiors, comfortable beds, and great laundry service. Kareem, Rasyid, Ismail were very accommodating! Hanan took us on a tour around the city including the hustling and bustling of Jamaa elfna, where we observed many Moroccan artisans who showcased specialties of fabric, metal and wood works. She also took us for lunch at Hadj Mustafa where we witnessed the classic Lamb oven, and tasted the roasted lamb and the Moroccan tanjia. Food was superb! Would love to come back for a taste at Hadj Mustafa again. Hanan demonstrated very good details and history of Marrakesh - a bonus of having her as our female tour guide too. Samir then drove us to Agafay Desert where we stayed for 1 night for a desert experience with a view of the Atlas Mountains - an opportunity to meet and learn about the Amazighs. Great fireshow post-dinner too! We also rode the camels (My camel name was Hazza) then learnt to wear the Arabic turban - thanks to Yahya and Ridhwan who were patient with our shenanigans. We then went to Casablanca, Ribaat then finally to Fes, where we stayed at Riad As Salam who served us amazing Moroccan breakfast with best hospitality (Shoutout to Hisham and Muith for attending to us), and also got to experience body massaging. Our stay there was great, and it definitely was a true Moroccan interior designed setting. Sharif was our tour guide around Fes - where we got to see and learn, again, the rich Moroccan culture, tradition, art and craftworks that are in Fes. Starting with Mohamed, he was very attentive with helping us to make plans for a memorable weekend in Marrakesh. With suggestions and changes, we landed on a great plan. Siad also reached out to us prior to travel to ensure we had all we needed. Contact details and emergency contact details were sent in advance. The helpful tips provided for this area were great as well.

We met with our driver/guide, Karim, and from the first moment we sat in the car, we felt safe, respected, and got excited about the next few days. Karim spoke and understood English very well. French too! We even started out the drive with windows down, sun shining, and a famous singer from our home Country playing on the radio. We knew it was going to be epic!

Karim was very careful to ensure that he was available for any advice, changes to plans, connections, basically he was at our disposal for the weekend. We took a drive to the Atlas Mountains and met with another guide for a short hike around Imlil and lunch at the house of a berber family. Karim made appropriate stops along the way for coffee, water, washrooms, and scenic points for pictures. We also stopped at an Argan oil cooperative where they make organic products such as cosmetics, oils, spices, etc. With the usual cup of tea to start, we had a lovely experience with a young lady to learn of their traditional processing rituals and products. After the long day and after he heard about what we had seen the week prior in Marrakesh, Karim suggested we consider changing our Day 2 plans which was SUPER. We opted for a long ride, but new scenery, and thus, we made our way to the beaches at Essaouria. We really enjoyed our time in Marrakesh and certainly having Karim with us made the trip memorable. We enjoyed the discussions, learning about new things, and much respect. Karim was a perfect match for our travel group. He is kind, patient and his vehicle is impeccable! Until next time!

Day Trip to Imlil Valley: High Atlas Mountains Adventure & Lunch with a Berber Family

This showed us that we really touched the tips of this area. We loved it in the mountains and to see snow was fantastic. We come from Canada and ski in the mountains so this was a treat and likely just a glimpse of what we can do next time. Our guide for the hike was very nice, in shape and shared information when we asked questions about the area. It's obvious that he loves this place and shared pictures of mountain hikes and skiing. The hike we did was more like a walk for us. There were more tourists than we expected but we were able to by-pass many. Ibrahim, our guide, changed our lunch location to a different spot, which was less congested. Thanks! Our tagline lunch was super tasty! We enjoyed the drive along the way with Karim which also included a stop at an Argan cooperative. Both Karim and Ibrahim spoke very good english and showed utmost respect to us.

Alert - we skipped this excursion and replaced it with a drive to the beaches in Essaouria. We had already been to the medina with a guide earlier with a group tour. Essaouria was great to see. Again, another glimpse in all that Morocco has to offer. We were surprised by the significant increase in winds as we got closer to the coast. Coming from an Island in Canada, we know winds very well. When we arrived, we learned why this is called the Windy City as there were nearly a 100 kite surfers playing in the ocean. It was a great day!

The trip was very easy to plan and Majid was very reponsive to making any changes we requested. Our driver Ismail was great - he was very personable and open about sharing about life in Morocco. A charming riad nestled in the heart of the medina, just minutes from Jemaa El Fnaa Market and key monuments. The staff were pleasant and respectful. While the room was clean, it felt smaller than expected, with a comfortable bed but hard pillows. Breakfast was typical Moroccan fare—decent. The rooftop, however, was a peaceful morning retreat, complete with a jacuzzi we unfortunately didn’t get to try.

From the moment we arrived at this stunning desert camp, we knew we were in for a treat. It was our first time staying in a desert camp, and we only wished we had booked more than one night! The tents were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities of a standard hotel room. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and air conditioning in the tents added to the comfort. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. While the WiFi connection in our tent was spotty, we had no trouble connecting in other parts of the camp. Dinner was a delightful three-course meal, and the evening concluded with mesmerizing stargazing—a highlight of the experience. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and we can’t wait to return for another magical night in the desert.

Our stay at Villa Beldi Essaouira was absolutely fantastic. Located just outside the medina, the peaceful setting adds to its charm, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The lush garden and inviting pool area are perfect for relaxing, and we often found ourselves tempted to spend the entire day by the pool. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed, soft pillows, and excellent WiFi connectivity. Breakfast was a daily highlight, especially the delicious crepes and amlou, which we eagerly looked forward to each morning. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. Most of the trip was wonderful. Our driver Ayoub was amazing. A friend by end of the trip. Our Fes guide Sharif was also very knowledgeable, as was Siad in Marrakesh. We enjoyed and learned from them both.

However the accommodations were mostly unacceptable. Our first one in Chefchaouen was good, but Fes and Marrakesh were very disappointing. My thoughts? Deluxe hotels were indeed selected, yet our rooms appeared to be the worst available at both locations, Fes and Marrakesh. We peaked in to other rooms to see what they were like and they were so much nicer. We felt exploited. After spending so much money to go deluxe, and then be given 2nd rate rooms, was a slap in the face. Our room in Fes even had someone’s sheets on the bed. When we pulled down the bed to go to sleep, hair was all over the sheets the sheets, and some stains to boot. It took an hour to get someone up to change them which ended up being a waiter and desk girl…not their jobs. The shower door didn’t close, and the toilet wasn’t bolted to the floor so teetered when used. I do not consider this deluxe accommodations. It seems there are so many parts to KimKim getting pieces of the pie, that the intermediary people take advantage of us vacationers by selecting cheap rooms so they can pocket more profit.

Pros: Very nice staff and beautiful ajoining Riads, and rooms when I peeked into other rooms. Very good location. Con’s: Dirty room. Hair on sheets when we pulled bed down to get into, plus some stains. Shower door that didn’t close. Toilet not well bolted to floor. We were given the cheapest room in the Riad after paying deluxe prices. Small and dark. Filthy rugs. Awkward to get to room, with lots of stairs. Not enough tables to accommodate diners so had to eat by ourselves outside. It was cold.

Beautiful riad, well situated, fabulous staff and restaurant. Our room was one of the least comfortable, very awkward layout, with steep stairs going from front door (after climbing about 3 flights already) down to the actual room. It did have two wonderful terraces, but the room was strange, with a shower and sink opened up into the bedroom, and a tiny bathroom cabinet. It was very narrow, like a wide corridor. Friday nights are enchanting with a trio of musicians and a belly dancer, plus unique meals served just that night. I was sick so the staff prepared a concoction every night of honey and lemon and ginger to help me sleep.

We had an amazing trip! Our driver Ismael was a jewel. He was fun to spend time with, provided music, laughs, a wealth of information, gave great recommendations for restaurants, etc.. and was extremely attentive to details. For example, we casually mentioned that it would be nice to have a glass of wine with dinner. Miraculously one showed up at our table at the desert camp as a totally unexpected treat. The local guides in Rabat and Fes were exceptionally good, both personable and knowledgable.

As often is the case, in my experience, some of the highlights of the trip were unplanned, lucky happenings: First, in Fes, we were told about restaurant Nur. Traveling in the shoulder season, we got a table and after a 2 hour, 8 course meal, the chef ( world famous Najat Kaanache) came and sat with us, talking for over an hour! Then, in the desert, it rained! While we are used to rain home in Seattle, it was a total surprise in Erg Chebbi, but it made for a fabulous night singing around the campfire, talking to Ahmed about life and the upcoming birth of his second child, and eating Fatima's delicious food.

The home visit was a pleasure and something I was glad we did. And to end at Riad Elegancia in Marrakech was perfect! Winding down with that luxury, the hamam and cooking class day, was a perfect ending to the trip.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Morocco. Our main guide, Omar, was so friendly and took care of all our needs. He took videos and photos of our adventures that we will treasure. Our transportation was always clean and comfortable during the entire journey. 

While in Chefchaouen, we took a private cooking class where we went grocery shopping and made traditional tajine. Our hosts were absolutely amazing and treated us like royalty. While our dish cooked, we were taken on the roof top to admire the beautiful city which was definitely a trip highlight. 

Fez was a city beyond my wildest imagination and we had the perfect tour guide, Said, to show us around. I can not say enough about how wonderful and knowledgeable Said was during our walking tour. Our driver Samir was fantastic. An excellent navigator of Moroccan roads, mountain curves and city traffic. He was responsive to requests to stop for pictures, full of information about Morocco and good company for 10 days. Our guides in Fez - Sharif, in Marrakech- Hannan and in Essaouira - Rashid were all excellent - knowledgeable and provided a wonderful day of exploring the Medinas.

Sallam was our driver and guide for 4 days. He was not only a superb guide but an intelligent conversationalist.
Getting to know him somewhat added to getting a feeling for Morocco.
The fact that he is a well recognized social media personality demonstrates his superior appealing communicating skills.
The on site guides were also very good. In Fez, Moha was very very good.

What an amazing trip! We were a group of 3 girlfriends who had lots of expectations about Morocco, expectations that were surpassed! We spent 11 days in this beautiful country, going from Casablanca and the impressive mosque of Hassan II to the capital city, Rabat and then heading to the north to see the beauty of Tangier and Chefchaouen. Then, we started our way south to see the ancient city of Fes and finally made it to the desert in Merzouga. In a single word: astonishing. The desert and its vibes were a highlight in our trip, where we enjoyed a first class camping and other activities like the camel ride and buggy in the dunes. Final destination was Marrakech through Ait Benhaddou to close one of the best trips in our lives.

Thanks a lot to Abdel and Said who were highly responsive during the whole planning and booking process. They always provided the best recommendations and made this trip tailor made for us, with really high quality hotels and gorgeous riads.

Sheriff, our guide in Fes, is impressively knowledgeable in history and knows the Medina by heart! Thanks a lot for taking care of us, showing us the arts and crafts of Fes, and for teaching us several interesting facts about the city. Same for Hanan in Marrakech, our female guide who brought us to the Bahia Palace and through the Jena el-Fnaa square and taught us about the history of this beautiful city.

And last but not least, Tayebb, our driver and friend! Great company. Thanks a lot for taking care of us and having a lot of patience. You really made the trip very easy and fun! Majid was our planner, he was very accommodating even when we switched up Casablanca for Rabat - which was a mistake, even though our driver called ahead to the Riad to make sure we had separate beds, what we were given was far from comfortable - instead of separating the double bed, they just made up the small sofa to a bed - it was very uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on. Our guide/driver Mouad picked us up in Tangier. We could not have had a better match for our personality. Mouad was thoughtful, kind and funny, and listened to “what WE wanted to do” , even after our tour ended, he made sure we were safe and not to hesitate to reach him if we needed anything - which was a huge plus for two senior females in Marrakech! Our only regret was not having KimKim arrange for our 3 days to Merzouga desert - the company we hired was horrible - the driver had zero interest in what we wanted or did he care.

We specifically asked for 2 beds, what we got was a double bed and the sofa. Clearly the double bed could have been separated but they were too lazy and opted to put sheets on the sofa - it was very uncomfortable, good thing it was only one night
