Our trip was absolutely amazing. We loved our Riad located in the center of the Medina. Every morning our little House Bunting friend welcomed us to the day The wonderful staff: Hicham and others especially were so kind and patient with all my bird questions. They brought our breakfast up four floors so we could have it next to our room. Our guide Selem was incredible explaining everything about places and peoples. Our driver Rasheed amazed us in how he was able to move around the crazy traffic in Marakkesh. The desert was so beautiful! As we familiarized ourselves with the neighbor hood of our Riad I started to feel like we were coming home every day to beautiful peace and tranquility. We wish we could have stayed longer. Hi kimkim,

First of all, my friend and traveling companion—Deb—and myself have never seen ourselves as tour people.

But since kimkim isn't your usual tour company, we discovered that we loved being able to work with someone to plan and execute a trip to such an exotic destination as Morocco.

And then once we arrived, having the luxury of a private driver who became our traveling buddy (and guide in his own right), along with guides who illuminated specific sites.

In addition to the amazing country itself, we must also give enormous credit to Llyace for making our journey through Morocco enjoyable and memorable.

Travel always comes with both pleasures and inconveniences, large and small. But with Llyace as our travel companion, he helped maximize the former and minimize the later.

He made us feel welcomed to his country because he saw his role as more than merely our driver, he was our amiable escort through every city we visited.

His professionalism resulted in confident driving, punctuality, hospitality and a desire to see to our every need. Even when those needs included quickly finding a pharmacy in the middle of the Moroccan countryside to help us concur a health aliment.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that we quickly gained the confidence that no matter what we wanted, needed or didn’t even know we desired he would deliver with warmth and good humor.

His personable attitude helped us feel welcomed and never alone no matter where we ventured in the exotic land of Morocco.

Our hope now is that not only are we are blessed enough to have companions like him on the future adventures we hope to take with kimkim—but that others are too.

Louis was very helpful in planning our trip to Morocco, especially with it being a last minute trip. We absolutely loved every moment of our trip and cannot wait to return one day. Our driver, Az, was very helpful, educated us about the area, and was very enjoyable. Our amenities and service was also very pleasant and hospitable. My family (Children 6, 9, 11), wife and two in-laws (70 and 72) had the most wonderful time in Morocco. Samir, our driver, was the absolute best! We always felt safe, comfortable, and cared for. The communication was excellent, things were coordinated well. Any issues were immediately addressed by Samir and Said (Our local planner). There is so much to say so I will try to distill it down:

1. Morocco is a beautiful country. SAFE, INCLUSIVE, AND WELCOMING to everyone, even Americans!
2. Kids are absolutely welcome everywhere. The people were not only accommodating for my children, but my kids were engaged and welcomed by everyone.
3. The diversity of climates, geography and cities was like nothing I have experienced before.
4. Samir, our driver, was a true professional and made every member of my family feel safe and valued.
5. Every tour guide chosen by Said, Abdul and other Kim Kim affiliates were professionals.
6. Having traveled the world, I will say that the Kim Kim booking experience was the EASIEST thing I have ever done. Worth every penny.

I cannot speak more highly of my experience and we are currently the envy of all our colleagues. If you are going to Morocco, I recommend this company 100%.

For the first time in years, I've been able to turn off my brain and just live in the moment and it's all thanks to Majid (local specialist/planner) and Khalid (driver/guide)! Did I think that there was a possibility that I would be scammed and Khalid would not be waiting for us on arrival at Casablanca? Absolutely. But what was I thinking?!

This trip has been nothing but easy and effortless for us. I've heard stories about people being harassed or scammed in Morocco, but I can honestly say that I've never even felt a minute of any of that. Khalid was the best and so knowledgable. He was so excited about each and every day and would go out of his way to make sure we felt accommodated. Even the little things, he's so passionate about teaching us about his culture, country, and people. He was never late picking us up from our hotels or activities and ALWAY came early just in case. If you get him as your driver/guide, you can expect a white-glove service. Even when he hands you off to local guides, you can trust that you're never alone or lost.

This was my first time using a travel agent and boy oh boy, I'm never going back to planning by myself. For the price you pay, it's extradorinaiy what you get. The ease of not worrying about logistics, the time saved, not needing to think about transportation - it's 1000% worth it.

We had an extraordinary Moroccan adventure thanks to the terrific planning by kimkim.
When we were interacting with them and planning the trip, we had no idea that it would be so smooth and well organized. Our driver, Said Misser, was, in addition to being an outstanding driver, a tremendously engaging and interesting man who spoke near flawless English. We so completely enjoyed his company. He could not have been more accommodating and professional. The hotels selected, particularly the one in Marrakesh, were excellent. Our guides in Fez and Marrakesh were very good and we really enjoyed the tours of the Medina in Fez and the food tour in Marrakesh

The hotel has a good location within the city but had a couple of flaws. The biggest flaw was the style of the bed. It was in a raised alcove. You had to climb up on a couch to get into bed. Once up to the bed, you had to crawl over your bed partner to get into bed. Also, our room had a badly ill sized bathroom door. It loudly scrapped every time it opened it closed.

You were tired after a very long drive and when we walked into the hotel, enormous smiles lit up our faces. Then, when we spent some time there, we were even more delighted. This is one of the finest hotels that we've ever stayed at and we've stayed at a lot of them. Everything is so well thought out and beautifully executed. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, there is a balcony and a sundeck. The public areas are gorgeous and the restaurant served us an excellent dinner and three wonderful breakfasts. My wife experienced her first hamman and a delightful massage. On Sunday night, while we're having a delicious dinner, we were treated to a magic show by an extremely talented slight of hand artist. It was so much fun.

Paradise of Silence was ironically not too silent due to dogs barking throughout the night. The hot water was the most inconsistent here, cutting off mid-shower. Despite these issues, the location and facilities were good.

The night in the desert at Imperial Glory Lodges was a great experience. The tent was comfortable and it was a nice touch to have dinner included. There was a slight issue with the hot water, but for a one-night stay, it was manageable.

The Food Tour & Local Gastronomy in Marrakesh was an absolute highlight of the trip. Our tour guide was amazing, knowledgeable, and engaging, making the experience memorable. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Our driver/guide Soufiane was AMAZING- so kind, caring, thoughtful, and safe. He anticipated our needs and was exceptionally knowledgeable. Marrakesh was great, our guide Hannan was superb, 11/10! The desert was a good experience, should’ve skipped Fed and stayed extra day in Sahara. Fes - interesting city with very cool sights. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, we received the standard “tourist treatment” with most of the tour spent in the hustles of getting us to buy things after a short tour (tannery, tile) or explanation (carpet, cloth) shops. While interesting, it was all a preface to the hustle. I would have preferred hearing about architecture, history, culture, etc. IMO, paid guides should warn you it’s a hustle, not offer you up to them. That had been my beef with previous tours and I’d hoped that this one would be different. Alas, it was not.
Casablanca was not worth the time. Saw the mosque and that was it. Basically we had 1 day in tourist hustle and 1 with nothing to do. Overall a good trip but would make different choices and be more vocal about my desire for non-hustle options.

Our recent trip to Morocco was an incredible experience, made even more special by the people who guided us along the way. One of the true highlights was our driver, Omar. Not only was he highly professional and reliable, but his warm personality and deep knowledge of Moroccan culture and landscapes added immense value to our journey. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, informed, and engaged throughout the trip.

We were also impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of all the local guides we encountered. Each one brought a unique perspective and helped us better understand the rich history and traditions of the region.

Among the many memorable experiences, we especially enjoyed the vibrant souks and a hands-on cooking class in the city—both offering a sensory feast and an authentic taste of Moroccan life. In contrast, the rural part of our trip offered breathtaking topography and charming village markets, giving us a chance to experience the country's natural beauty and slower pace of life.

Overall, this trip was a perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and scenery—made exceptional by the people who shared their knowledge and hospitality with us.

The private cooking class with the souk tour was absolutely fabulous. The hosts were incredibly nice, and the environment was comfortable. It was a perfect cultural exchange and learning experience. We cooked bread, a tangerine dish, and a pastry. I highly recommend it!

The guided tour in Taroudant was quite disappointing. We wanted to shorten the tour from two hours to one due to fatigue, but the guide insisted on following the complete itinerary. It was a little frustrating as we were really tired after a long day of travel and wanted to rest in our beautiful Riad.

Our trip to Morocco was nothing short of magical, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide and driver, Rabi. From the moment we met him, we felt completely safe, at ease, and well taken care of. Traveling through a new country can sometimes feel overwhelming, but with Rabi behind the wheel, it felt effortless.

He was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the destinations, but about the culture and history of each place we visited. What really stood out, though, was how flexible and accommodating he was. We made a few changes to our itinerary along the way, and he adjusted everything smoothly without hesitation. He truly wanted us to have the best experience possible.

Having Rabi as our driver made our trip 100 times better. We can’t imagine exploring Morocco without him and feel so lucky to have had him as part of our journey. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, ask for Rabi—you won’t regret it!

The hotel choices were wonderful. Our operation guide (Said) was incredibly responsive and helpful. Specifically he secured transport from Casablanca to Fes after a flight delay resulting in us missing our flight. Our driver Hamza was a very good driver, fun, friendly and kind. We shared with him that he could be even better if he studied more about the geography and history to share with customers. Kimkim and team created and delivered a wonderful vacation for us in beautiful Morocco!

This was an excellent trip and I've been recommending Kimkim to everyone! It was a busy program, but there was nothing I would have preferred to omit. It was all fascinating and VERY well organized. To go through the various elements:
Our driver Abdelkarim was an outstanding driver and a delightful personality. We enjoyed his company and willingness to help throughout the trip. However, he really could do with some more English lessons! Communication was not his strong point, so on this we would give him a lower grade.
We really liked the hotel in Chefchaouen, Dar Jasmine, especially the outstanding view from the balcony of our room. And the delicious breakfast. It was a shock having to climb 100 steep stone steps after a 3-hour flight and queuing 90 minutes for passport control, followed by a 3-hour drive with multiple stops at police security checks, but the hotel was lovely.
Hazim, our guide in Chefchaouen, was fine and an entertaining character.
We had a long day driving from Chefchaouen to Fes but the stop at the tomb of Rabbi Amram ben Diwan was interesting and the Roman ruins of Volubilis exceeded our expectations. Our guide there, Achmed, was excellent.
In Fes we stayed at Riad La Maison Bleue, which was beautiful, although the least comfortable of the places we stayed at. If I were returning to Fes, I would probably look for somewhere else to stay, despite the luxurious surroundings.
Our guide in Fes, Hassan, was very good and he showed us a tremendous amount in the short time we stayed there. Unfortunately our day in Fes was a Friday, so many of the shops were closed. I would have liked longer in Fes, but that was just the way it worked out with our own timing restrictions.
There was a stop in Rabat on the way from Fes to Marrakesh - interesting to see the tombs and Hassan Tower.
On arrival in Marrakesh we barely had time to freshen up before the scheduled Food Tour. I had wondered if that might be too much for us, but it was such an amazing experience and great fun that I'm really glad we did it. It was one of the highlights of the program. Our guide in Marrakesh, Ishmael, was also excellent.
We liked our hotel there, Les Jardins de la Medina. The restaurant was very good and the gardens were attractive, though I was sorry there wasn't a better view of the Atlas Mountains from the roof.
Our day trip to Essaouira was one of the highlights of our stay in Morocco and we enjoyed everything about the day, apart from our guide, Isaid, who spent most of the time on his phone.
On our last day in Marrakesh, the cooking class at La Maison Arabe was outstanding and I would highly recommend it to future visitors. Incredibly well organized and presented and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the end of it.
That afternoon, we attempted to visit the hotel La Mamounia for tea. Visitors should be warned that the hotel has a very strict dress code and anyone wearing sneakers, or any footwear resembling sneakers, will not be allowed into the hotel or grounds. We discovered that the hard way!
Another point worth making is that it's really difficult to get the small change you need in order to keep tipping everyone. Don't bother to try the banks or the exchange offices. We finally got some change and smaller denomination notes with the help of our guide in Fes.
All in all, a very enjoyable visit to a friendly and hospitable country.

Our trip to Morocco was terrific...we loved the diversity of venues, cities, and activities. Our driver/guide, Reda, was highly professional, informed, courteous, and caring. He went out of his way to ensure the highest quality trip possible.

Specific highlights include:

I would recommend that Original Travel be clearer up front about the 150-step hike to the hotel. Reda did ask, but only when we were en route to the property. I understand that alternate arrangements would have been made if needed (fortunately, it wasn't) but that's something clients might want to consider well in advance of the drive. Once there, though, the property was lovely and the meals there exceptional. We did request a room change since the one assigned to us was essentially windowless.

Our guide Hamza, totally made this trip for us. He was interesting, thoughtful, steered us clear of any uncomfortable situations. Made good recommendations and always looked out for us. He is an excellent driver, careful and skilled. He shared much information about the country, its history and its culture. His English was great. He is warm , intelligent, and honest.

Our driver Abdelkarim (Karim) was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and an incredibly safe driver. He did a great job coordinating our day-to-day activities and making sure things ran smoothly. The country of Morocco was truly beautiful and the activities we went to were very fun. We were upset that without us being made aware of it until the day of, our sandboarding activity, which we paid for (and hopefully we can get refunded for this), became impossible due when they scheduled the activity. This was especially annoying considering we were given 5hrs of free time the previous day when we could have done the activity.
What disappointed us the most were the lodgings booked by the KimKim team. With hindsight never have I been more happy that the major hotels we booked ourselves as the ones booked by the KimKim team were dirty, one had roaches, the other lacked a hot water shower. These hotels were quite rundown and did not meet the standards which we felt had been conveyed to us. The "luxury" camp which KimKim had told us had AC did not, and the food served was inedible.
Also the driver we had, as much as we loved him, was not who KimKim had told us would be our driver. This left us very confused and initially nervous since we were unable to contact our driver directly and it simply wasn't who we were told our driver would be.
To summarize, we enjoyed our trip overall and were mostly happy with KimKim's efforts, but in the future we probably will not use KimKim again due to the quality of the hotel bookings not being worth the premium we paid KimKim to book them.

We had an amazing trip to Morocco, in no small part due to the service and dedication of the Original Travels team.

We had a thoroughly positive experience with original travels throughout. Our initial trip planning was through Abdel, who was highly responsive, very pleasant to deal with, and rapidly adapted the trip to align best with our preferences, including taking account of our young children (for instance by managing the driving distances for each leg). The same can be said of the point of contact for the trip, Said. Said was also very responsive, provided helpful answers to various ad hoc questions, and also facilitated a pottery workshop midway through the trip, which turned out to be a highlight. Said also ensured two hotel upgrades throughout the trip, which was appreciated.

Turning to our driver/guide, Samir was wonderful throughout the trip. Not only was Samir a fun companion on the long drives, he ensured our every need was met at every stage of the vacation. Of particular note were the small acts of kindness throughout the trip, such as providing snacks and water for our children, securing cough meds, and even helping resolve our kids arguments! We cannot speak highly enough of his services, and would hope to meet again in the future.

In terms of specific points on accommodations and activities, overall Original Travels arranged for very comfortable accommodations and a range of fascinating activities. The accommodations we enjoyed the most was Kasbah Azul in Agdz (fantastic staff, food and ambience), as well as Riad Pachavana in Marrakech (lovely peaceful Riad, with delicious breakfast). We would also highlight Dar Rihana in Boulmane Dades as being lovely and glad we stayed there.

For improvement in the future, we felt that the desert camp (Orient Desert Camp) had a ‘transactional’ feel as compared with other hotels we stayed at. Whilst a lovely location and comfortable camp, it had a less personable atmosphere from the staff. We also much
preferred the atmosphere of the Riad in Marrakech rather than the hotel we stayed in Marrakech’s New Town (which did not give any particular flavor of Morocco and could have been anywhere), so would recommend use of the Riads where possible.

Of the activities we participated in, particular highlights were the pottery workshop mentioned above - the owner was so welcoming and hospitable and we had a fantastic time. Also the desert camel ride was amazing, though it would have been better had we arrived slightly earlier so as not to be rushed onto the camels to make the sunset. We also thoroughly enjoyed our Marrakech food tour, and would recommend that to fellow travellers.

Generally the guides used by Original Travels were very good, though we would note the following slight caveats:
- Our guide in Ait Benhaddou put the least effort in, and generally just took us to a range of stores to buy things from his friends. Was more preoccupied with catching up with his friends rather than actually guiding the tour.
- The tour of marrakech guide did not adapt his general spiel to better fit our young kids
- The guide in Merzouga didn’t speak much English, which made communication difficult.
- We would’ve appreciated if guides took more initiative with taking photos in the moment instead of us finding a spot and doing a posed photo.

That said, all of our guides (indeed all of the people we met in Morocco!) were welcoming and friendly, and did provide special experiences.

Overall, we are extremely glad we chose Original Travels and Morocco for our vacation, and would strongly recommend for other travellers!

Our overall evaluation of the trip was very good Our favorite parts of the trip would be our tour with Zahra in Fea ,our journery into the desert and our hike in Setti Fatma with Mohammad Zahra did an excellant job of showing us all the medina in an effecient and professional manner Her personality is delightful!! Our hike with Mohammad was filled with the beauty of the mountains and his kindness another delightful experience I also should mention our driver Said who was great we loved all our time spent with him and he watched out for us making sure we always had what we needed. We did not think it was necessary however to have a tour of the medina in both Fes and Marrakesh as they were very much the same and honestly the one in Marrakesh was boring only because it was a bit redundant a suggestion would be to explain that to the client whem booking the trip. Another suggestion might be to do a better job of the actual planning piece with the detail of the trip example we didnt realize if we were a bit late to the desert we would miss out on the camel ride to the camp Acutally we felt there were a lot of small details that were left out of the itinerary such as times to meet guides etc Dont get me wrong we loved the trip but our thinking was these suggestions will help you in th future

Be it last minute changes to dealing with emergency situations...Rachid handled every situation with calm and maturity. He is the best that the industry can have.
At the end of the trip we were like a family.
