Although we have traveled extensively, I felt that Morocco was a destination that would require a driver and guidance from local experts. When I discovered Abdellah and Original Travels on KimKim, it seemed clear that he was more than qualified to plan our trip. I just turned it over to him, and set very few parameters. We wanted to be immersed in local culture, to understand the people and their rich history, the way of life past and present. Abdellah was happy to suggest an itinerary, to help us navigate through Covid challenges in the fall of 2021, and to lay out a detailed trip plan. He was very responsive at every step. When we finally arrived in Casablanca and found that some of our luggage was still in LA, he stepped in and navigated the process of getting it delivered to another airport close to our next destination. For the next 2 weeks we were blessed to have Karim as our driver, our guide, and our friend. Karim was attentive, understanding, and patient with us every step of the way. We were intensely curious about Karim's background as he was raised with a nomadic family in the Atlas mountains. He openly shared his life, his family, and his goals with us, and took us to see people and places we would have never discovered on our own. After two weeks in Morocco, we felt sad to leave Karim, our new friend. We could not have hoped for a better experience in this country so rich in history and tradition. I cannot emphasize enough that you will be in great hands if you turn over your trip planning to Abdellah and Karim. They are absolutely the best. We will be forever grateful to them for sharing their country with us.

Oh my after over 2 years of planning this trip, covid, and cancelled flights I have to say our 16 days in Morocco was over the top. I think I can speak for the rest of the group that traveling through Morocco was awesome. We saw so much and got a real feel for the country and the people. I love to negotiate as do the Moroccans. But as soon as a deal is done, tea , laughs and hugs are in order.
As an experienced long time traveler, our guide Hicham was fabulous and truthfully he became our friend. I have invited him and Sharon to visit if they ever make it to CA. Not only was he attentive to all our needs he actually had us over in his apartment for Moroccan Pizza one night.

The 2 cooking classes at Abdouls home and Khadija's was so yummy. The food so delicious, fresh and creative. Love those Tangines. We loved the tourists places to eat along with the locals as well. I have to say during this tumultuous time in our lives dealing with Covid 19, this trip was a piece of cake. Never did we feel uncomfortable throughout Morocco and flying on a different airlines was a piece of cake.

My favorite of course was riding the camels in the Sarah Desert to our camp. The sand and its color and shades made my heart sing. The food so good, the drums and our lodging reminded me so much of safaris in southern Africa. My roomy and me got up to see the sun rise. Our tents were so beautiful and luxurious. I decided not to ride the camel back but 4 wheeled back to the start. Yippee over the dunes. But the sand and the shadows was captivating. I had to ask Mustafa to stop to I could take it all in. I could have stayed another few days.

Abdella and Ahmed Made Our Lives Easier
I'm big traveler and have planned most of my trips, but due to a last minute change we picked Morocco with about a week and a half notice. Abdella and co were very helpful and flexible in explaining our options and providing us with a custom itinerary. In hindsight, I'm even more grateful that we booked for Morocco with them, because driving on our own would have been truly hazardous! The accommodations were all excellent, Merzouga and the desert was a particularly legendary highlight, but Fes as well deserves plenty of time as well. Will certainly consider using KimKim in the future!

Abdel and his team were efficient and fast, but we got in touch with them by answering an ad that promised “the ultimate in luxury travel in Morocco”, and this, it was definitely not.

Most of the high-end hotels we wound up staying in, we came up with ourselves.

We asked for a guide specialised in Moroccan culture, history, food and art.
The guide that Abdel chose for our 16-day trip throughout Morocco was a wonderful person – warm-hearted, honest, committed and diligent – but his specialty are trekking expeditions in the Atlas Mountains and “budget travellers” (as he himself admitted). He had no clue about the best restaurants in the towns we visited, and he had never seen most of the hotels we stayed in. Some of the museums we most liked, he had never heard of.

The car that was used for our travel, was comfortable and at all times impeccably clean, but the driver hardly ever spoke a word with us (even when we tried to interact with him) and, importantly, he was not familiar with some of the parts of Morocco we visited, leading to us having to use our own GPS to guide him.

Abdel, the owner, was ultra-fast in the initial stages. His responses became a little slower once we had paid for the trip in full, and he didn’t bother saying hello or asking how we were, until well into the second week of our trip. He and his team requested upgrades for us in two of the hotels we stayed in (the second time at our explicit request), but he falsely claimed that “we will offer you a free upgrade” at one of the locations, when in fact it was the hotel that offered us this upgrade, not Abdel’s company.

We were very disappointed that on the last day, Ahmed, the company representative in charge of taking us to the airport, did not even bother asking us how we felt about the trip or if we had any feedback, even though we volunteered to give this information to him. It seemed more important for Ahmed, an otherwise pleasant and kind man, to give us a present (which we appreciated) and to remind us to “give our company a good review”.

So we really can only recommend Abdel and his team if you’re on a tight or mid-range budget and want efficient service. If you want a more high-end experience, we think you should look elsewhere.

Morocco Immersion had been very open and engaging about planning our trip ever since we reached out to them about our wants and needs. Basically, we gave them a template of what kind of travelers we were, how long we wanted to travel, what general places we wanted to see, and what kind of accommodations we wanted to stay in. Through multiple, quick back-and-forth conversations via chat, Morocco Immersion was able to hone in on our ideal trip and even gave suggestions and recommendations when we were stuck in our decision-making. At one point, when our flights were completely canceled a week before the start of our trip and we were able to secure new flights but on different dates, Morocco Immersion was very understanding and adjusted our trip willingly and accordingly, without hesitation.

The trip itself was absolutely wonderful. Unlike the huge group tours advertised everywhere, our small group of three travelers felt really comfortable with our personal guide and driver Hicham, who assured us about our safety and comfort. We felt that even though we had a defined itinerary set beforehand, that we could easily deviate from it if we wanted to. That was the huge advantage with booking with Morocco Immersion as a small private group!

The whole tour was up to our expectations. From the tours of Rabat to Meknes and Volubilis to Fez, the Sahara, Dades, and Marrakech, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Each place had its own charm, and when we shared with Hicham that we wanted to try to eat where the locals do, he gladly obliged and took us to authentic, less touristy places to munch on real local eats, and I thought that was just perfect.

And despite one minor hiccup with our accommodation in Marrakech, Morocco Immersion stepped up to the plate and offered to rectify the situation. The team readily made things right by us, and I don't think you'll ever get that kind of service with a much larger, impersonal company or with a really large touring group.

I would highly recommend Morocco Immersion if you're truly considering an authentic experience of Morocco, one that is not just touristy stuff. You will not regret your choice.

If you're ever thinking of taking a trip to Morocco, I would highly recommend using Abdellah and his company. The trip was very well organized and customized to our every need. Our guide, Karim, was absolutely fantastic and I know we will keep in touch. He was super friendly, very accommodating (especially flexible when our luggage did not make it on time, rescheduling and moving things around), and great company!!! We had booked this trip at the last minute and everything was organized according to plan. Both sights and accommodations were awesome, and we even learned a little bit of Arabic and Berber. We have great memories and lots of beautiful pictures from this wonderful country!

I had broken my foot a few weeks before our trip and he was so thoughtful and took care to make sure I was comfortable and adjusted the schedule and challenges of some of the excursions to accommodate my limitations.
Our excursion tour guides were very friendly, enthusiastic and very informative.
The Camel trek into the desert was a moment I will remember forever. Seeing the Sunset over the dunes and staying the night in the Luxury camp was truly an experience beyond my expectations.

NOT JUST A TRIP...AN ADVENTURE..

Sharon of KimKim Tours proved to be the most proficient tour organizer I have used to plan a tour. She never missed a beat in making it designed to fit our needs and expectations. We were hooked up with Morocco Immersions for our Moroccan trip. Hicham our private driver was the single most person making the trip unforgettable. He was there for our every need to navigate us through a country that never seemed to surprise us both in food and exploration. I had a great time in Morocco! Sharon was so helpful and patient in the planning process. My driver, Sallam was the greatest and I was so thankful to have him with me for the entirety of the trip. He went above and beyond to make sure my time in Morocco was safe and enjoyable.

My 20 year old son and I spent a wonderful week with Karim touring Morocco. Karim's pride in his country and passion for the history, traditions and sharing his knowledge were exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed the week with him: the beautiful scenery, the lovely towns, the traditional food, the regional music, the Berber history, perspective on being from a nomadic family and the overall education we received on matters Moroccan, Arab, Islamic and more. This was truly the experience of a lifetime which expanded our world view considerably. Our favorite part of the trip was the visit to Erg Chebbi and the stay at the Tiziri Desert Camp. The ATV ride was a blast and the beauty of the area was beyond compare. This time in the Saharan dunes was impactful and absolutely stunning. We also loved the Riad stays and in particular appreciated the ambiance and location of our Riad Palais Sebban in Marrakesh.

As a whole, this was a fabulous tour with an excellent guide. It is also important to note that Karim made this trip so easy for us ensuring whatever we needed was handled including finding ATMs, Covid testing, etc. We highly recommend using Abdel and his team for arranging your unforgettable trip to Morocco.

This was a memorable vacation where our entire family enjoyed every bit. Sharon was able to create a trip that catered to the interests of everyone in my family of four with two older teenagers. The Riads selected were very reputed and they provide great service. Sharon was on top of our vacation while we were traveling and made some timely adjustments.

The trip could not be a success without Hischam, our tour manager, guide and driver. He coordinated all the local guides to be available based on our arrival and schedule. The local guides at every location where super knowledgeable and spoke excellent english.

Hischam is also an experienced and careful driver. The vehicles provided were in great condition and the ride was super smooth.

Sharon booked us a camel ride from Merzouga into the desert and booked premium desert camp to spend the night. I would highly recommend everyone to include this in your tour. In this COVID time where a PCR test is required to board the return flight, I would recommend you stay two days at your final destination (Marrakesh or Casablanca) so you can take care of that detail.

Sharon was amazing putting everything together and checking EVERYTHING off my list! When I got to Morocco, Amney was my tour manager and I am so fortunate to have met him! Everything from picking me up at the airport, checking into the hotels, even taking care of scheduling my COVID test was handled even before I could think to ask. Wanderlust Voyages exceeded our family's expectations for organizing a family friendly trip to Morocco. Megan created an itinerary that hit all the marks for what we were looking for in a voyage with small children. She was incredibly responsive throughout the process and answered a ton of questions about the trip and make customizations to our liking. Secondly, we were incredibly lucky to have Omar help us navigate the beautiful, complex, and sometimes chaotic streets of Marrakech and the rest of Morocco. You will never find anyone better to experience a new country with than Omar; he was incredibly helpful throughout our trip in getting us to various hotels and activities seamlessly, answered a ton of our questions (the kids were quite inquisitive), and helped navigate any speed bumps we encountered along the way. My wife and I just returned from a 16-day tour of central Morocco organized by KimKim's subcontractor, Morocco Immersion Tours. From the moment I began working with Sharon on desires, expectations and arrangements through Amnay's tours of Rabat, Volubilis, Fez, Mergouza, the Valley of Roses, Ourzazate, Marrakech, Essouira, Oualidia, and then drop off at the airport, we felt heard and understood; safe, cared for and considered. It's like waking up to find a previously-unknown Moroccan branch of your family (that your really like) and they have volunteered to plan and execute for you an in-depth tour of this beautiful, exotic country. We set a high bar- as experienced travelers we wanted liberty to enjoy and explore on our own, but we also did not want to miss anything that might pass without expert assistance. They nailed it. The accommodations were located in just the right spots, luxurious but authentic, each offering high design and surroundings guaranteed to create lasting memories. The touring could have been a burden because there were many hours of driving; instead, thanks to Amnay's pitch perfect personality, combining attentiveness with friendly approachability, the hours flew by as we shared favorite Spotify playlists, talked about Morocco's history and culture, and compared notes on life and family. Even when we weren't with him, he was looking ahead to the next destination to confirm arrangements and make our trip more enjoyable. The whole experience was nothing short of awesome.

We had a wonderful trip to Morocco! Hakim was our trip planner, and everything was well thought of. The riads were all great, and we had a wonderful time at the Orient Desert Camp. Our driver, Mohammed was especially wonderful, and he took care of all details including getting our COVID test to fly back home. Our guide Said in Fez was extremely knowledgeable and a great person to spend the day with. Overall, highly recommend a visit to Morocco and using the same team we had for our trip!

Our family trip of 2 adults and a 5 year old to Morocco was perfection!!! Sharon has patiently worked with me for over a year to come up with the perfect itinerary that included enough exploration for the adults and plenty of fun activities for our daughter! I could not be more thankful for how smoothly everything went once we arrived and during our entire stay there! Our driver was kind, friendly, informative, knowledgeable always on time, and flexible! 27 days in Morocco

After 30 years traveling solo, I knew a good driver/guide with a powerful vehicle was all I needed for the Morocco trip.

With Karim, ——the happy flexible guide/driver/assistant/DJ/playmate/dinner-mate all in one, came to my side, I realized that I could instantly enter into the self-indulgent age of innocence. Easy going and charming, Karim was a good sport. His car turned into our magic Moroccan carpet (with music soaring), carried me to the villages/valleys/madinas /high mountains and clouds… spirits soared; we became just kids, having fun and being silly, everyday and everywhere…. The ultimate joy a traveler could only hope for.

As adults, we all know that none of these wondrous moments could be possible without someone doing the careful preparation and provides solid back office support. I have to praise that Karim’s years of experience and dedication to make me happy, these were keys to create such a successful trip, and all the logistic and safety issues became invisible and he handled them seemingly effortlessly; so was his boss Abdel’s impeccable professionalism which I found truly world class and impressive. Although virtual (the biggest regret of the trip was that we never get to meet), Abdel was personable and could always make one feel understood, cared about and protected; and his support will always be there for you, whenever necessary.

Abdel and Karim, thank you for indulging me. I am grateful for everything you did for me. I wish you the best and my fond memories will be ever lasting.

I have to say this was one of the best trips. The itinerary completely curated by Abdellah was fabulous and our driver Faysal was the definition of professional with a side of humor! Morocco was made even more beautiful through the kindness of the tour guides and people Abdellah organized for us to meet. I also would like to add that I felt quite safe COVID wise as all the hotels that were picked were very clean (and beautiful). Don’t hesitate and book with this wonderful team!

We had a fantastic trip to Marrakech, very much thanks to our guide Abdel. He planned a great itinerary for us and had really listened to what we were looking for. The recommendation of everything from the Riad (Palais Sebban!) to restaurants and our local guide Hassan were such a good match for what we wanted. The best part of the trip was going with Abdel to the Atlas Mountains for hiking and meeting people in the villages around Imlil.

Our trip to Morocco was a once in a lifetime experience thanks to Wanderlust Voyages. We spent 2.5 weeks travelling throughout the country, and our driver/guide Ibrahim, as well as Megan and the Wanderlust crew, made sure everything was just how we could have wanted it to be. Ibrahim took care of us as if we were a member of his own family, especially our two year old son - who to this day is talking about getting back "in the bus and going to Morocco".

Even with COVID restrictions, were able to see quite a few sites around the country. Our guide in Fez, Kamal, was spectacular - we highly recommend him! All the hotels took great care of us, but in Fez, the staff at Palais Sheherazade were welcoming, friendly, and caring for our son during our few days there, as well as for us and our needs. The Es Saddi resort was similarly wonderful. We would very much recommend them again! Thank you so much!
