Every place that was planned for us was what I imagined in trying to get to know the north region of Ha Noi. Even though the weather was not sunny, the Ha Long Bay was mysterious, when shrouded in clouds. We arrived in Ha Noi, after a busy weekend in Saigon at a wedding but we felt that we could relax the first two nights in our hotel and also on the one night on Capella Cruise. The meals cruise meals were fantastic. We only joined the rooftop 6:00 AM Tai Chi activity, which in the mist of Halong Bay was so memorable. Our driver, Guong? (Means strong in English) was sweet and helpful at every turn). He used English as best he could to point out important sites. Our guide Mr. Win was knowledgeable, but he seemed tired, especially on the first day. I don’t feel we learned a lot about the Old Capital. The Pagoda was OK. Our guide seemed young and in need of some better social skills. Our rower on the Tam Coc tour was amazing, and my husband asked a lot of questions through our guide about the life in that Ninh Binh area. I loved the cooking class in the traditional house. The young woman (never caught her name) was quite fluent in English, and helped her aunt in teaching us recipes.

All the guides were great, John our guide for marble mountain and the drive from Hoi An to Hue , along with Lucy on the afternoon tour in Hoi An we especially good. All the small group tours were good.

Very good on all the details of the trip set up by our agent Lucy and a good communicator.

Hotels were generally good as advertised. Especially hotel in Hue. Imperial hotel in Hanoi facilities were just ok, staff was great though and location was perfect

JFK to Vietnam through Tokyo
Spent time in Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Hanoi, and of course Ha Long Bay
I could knit pick a few things if i insisted but thats true of anywhere in the world
Vietnam may have been the best trip ive ever done, the place is seriously wonderful

All travel guides were great especially Mimi in Hoi An and John in Saigon. Itinerary was very varied with lots of activities from cooking, cycling, boat trips mixed with history and culture. Great trip.

We were so amazed at the level of service from Camilla and the Kim Kim team! Traveling outside of the country can be very stressful
But the Kim Kim team was with us every step of the way. Every driver was on time and every guide that was provided was amazing! We will definitely use Kim Kim again ! Thank you so much!

I was happy to see the ancient sites and nature in Vietnam. I also enjoyed the regional meals provided by the cooking class

All the guides and drivers were very prompt in meeting us at the airports and hotels. I never worried that we would be on our own, and they took great care of us. My favorite experience was riding on a scooter in Ho Chi Minh City on a food tour. I never thought I would get to do that! The most beautiful city, for me, was Hoi An. We had a wonderful time bike riding in the countryside with our guide, Long, All in all, a most memorable trip to a beautiful and complicated country.

This was an amazing trip. Having everything so well planned out and all of our guides made this experience truly amazing. Even when we did have an issue with a train ticket not being sent, our agents were able get it sorted out quickly to make our train and its really made what could have been a bad situation horrible. It was great having someone we could constantly ask questions too throughout our trip and took so much of the stress that would have come with planning a trip like this stress free.

Our entire planning process was very helpful. Our local guides in Cambodia and Hanoi were knowledgeable, and helpful. OVerall, it was a great experience. Highly recommend this team.

We thought that it was going to be a small group tour but ended up like a private tour with us only on the transport which we LOVED rather than on a bus with other travellers. We also loved the limousine transportation from our hotel to the airport. Le Jardin was a great place to stay at and the staff were friendly especially Rachel, the front desk supervisor. My relatives/family want to travel back to visit the other side of Vietnam. Just in case, are you able to arrange our next trip again?

Our tour coordinator, Doris, did a great job of setting up an itinerary for us. She was very responsive to our ideas, made good suggestions and answered all our questions before and during our trip. During the whole trip, all the details were perfectly arranged. Amazing! I highly recommend Doris as a travel tour coordinator.

On the trip we especially enjoyed our first few days in and around Hanoi with tour guide Cai. He had interesting stories to tell from his background in Vietnam and was so animated in his storytelling about the history. He was also great to hike with in Cuc Phuang National Park. We liked the Tam Coc boat trip and Mua Cave. Other favorites were the Halong Bay overnight cruise -- the boat and the side trip to the cave were great -- and our relaxing days at the Green Bay resort on Phu Quoc Island. In and around Ho Chi Minh City, our tour guide Sang was fantastic. He really knows his history and was very helpful in giving us ideas on where to go during our free time. Oh, and in the middle of the trip Hue and all the side trips were great. The guide, Destiny walked us through some very interesting historical places.

Overall, all learned a lot on this trip and very much enjoyed Vietnam. The people, the culture, the food, the weather and scenery were all what I had hoped for. Thanks to Doris and KimKim for coordinating such a smooth trip so we could relax and enjoy the country.

I had an idea of the places that we wanted to go and Trang advised me on which ones were best and those that were not optimal.

The amount of effort and time you put into planning this trip was amazing. Communication was so well handled. Every question was answered right away and any issues dealt with instantly. From pick up to drop off it was like the drivers were hiding right behind us. We actually made the comment one day we better not wait any more than 60 seconds for the driver and he never disappointed.
Richard was awesome. His knowledge of south Vietnam was so amazing. Took the time to explain things in the vehicle before we arrived at each location so we could avoid the crowds.
Transfers were all as promised and well organized
Our trip to Ha Long Bay was everything we expected and more. The cruise Trang chose was truly 5 Star
In all I would recommend KimKim to plan your Vietnam vacation.

Long was responsive only at the beginning of planning. We have a lot of confusion regarding meals included vs meals reserved. We had three full days in Cambodia but only one full day planned activity and two night activities. Fortunately the guide (Vibal ) and driver (Sofar) were excellent and they made themselves available to us the entire time and took us to places not included in the planning. We were anxious about our activities in Siem Reap and Vibal on the first meeting already reassured us he will take us to wherever we want to go. They gave us the best moments in our trip with excellent service and hospitality. Kudos to this team.
In Vietnam we were thankful to have the driver took us to the restaurant Gia because if we had to call taxi as suggested by Long it would have been a very nerve wrecking experience.
The recommendation of Gia restaurant was of questionable value. I would prefer a restaurant that serves classic Vietnamese meals that one that serves molecular gastronomy type of food. Also it would have been nice to be told that the meal will be 3-3.5 hours and that it will cost around $150 per person. It was presented as if the meal was included and caused confusion to all of us. Did the local tour group get a kick-back from this recommendation?

The overall planning and organization was excellent. All arrangements worked as planned. Last minute changes were accommodated easily. Ashley was extermely responsive. Accomodations were exactly as expected.

This was my first time using Kim Kim, and I will definitely use them for all furure trips.

We had a bit of a problem receiving prompt responses from Camellia. But ultimately, when Thuy took over the administration of the trip while we were in-country, all went very smoothly.

Very dingy hotel. Our first room had a party room above it. As music was pounding above, we requested a new room, which they immediately provided. However, the new room was smaller and more worn that the first. If anything, when we encounter a problem with a room, we expect a room of equal if not better quality.

We enjoyed this day but were slightly disappointed with what was described as a 'village'. It turned out we stopped at a spot that was once a village and is now just set of buildings. The rest of the day tho, was great, with bike riding, market visit and a home visit with a war veteran.

We spent 8 days traveling the length of Vietnam from North to South, with excellent guides (KC, ChickyTrung, Tin Tin).

Vietnam is an extremely beautiful country with people who are kind, open, and engaging. We loved having a private tour guide for each city we visited, and we truly enjoyed the introduction to the food we had on food tours in Ha Noi and Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).

The old town at Ha Noi was both fascinating and beautiful and the shopping there was really fun. We had outfits made for our daughters using their custom measurements.

Hien Do did a masterful job organizing every element, making this one of the easiest trips ever to plan, with a rich array of experiences we got to take part in. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Each and every stop was intentional and purposeful. To our surprise the Vietnam people made the biggest impression, followed by food and rich history. All of the guides were well versed in their area and added immensely to our trip overcoming the biggest obstacle: language barrier. Highly recommend this excursion into Vietnam - a beautiful country on the rise!
