• Because the hotel preserved the building's original floor plan, some rooms are smaller than others, and a few have angled ceilings (not great for tall travelers), so you might want to be a little picky with the exact room you book.

Casa Alberti is an 18th-century structure built by the Alberti family during the city's Enlightenment period. The hotel owners preserved the home's original layout, including the main entrance with arched ceilings and the building's grand staircase. You'll also find an original courtyard, and each bedroom displays its own unique character.

Location

You'll be in the very center of historic Mahón, across the street from the striking Palacio Isabel II and a two-minute walk from the city's cathedral. The hotel's street is lined with picturesque architecture, gifting guests a daily glimpse of the city's past. You'll find plenty of eateries within walking distance, and you'll be just five minutes from the lively Port of Mahón and the city's main markets. A quick 15-minute drive takes you to the island's airport or one of the best beaches, Platja Sa Mesquida.

Rooms & Bathrooms

Casa Alberti has just 14 rooms, each with individual decor highlighting the historical essence of the building. All have air conditioning and minifridges, and some feature soaking tubs, balconies, and/or terraces. Enjoy neutral tones, colorful textiles, and raw elements like wicker decor, wooden or metal end tables, and beamed ceilings. The largest unit is the suite with its own terrace, flowing more like an apartment with a separate bedroom, seating and dining areas, and sun loungers with umbrellas on the patio. 

Other Highlights

You can relax in the fireside or library lounge and enjoy your breakfast outside on the patio or in a charming dining room. There's also a rooftop lounge with comfy seating and a sundeck, and the hotel is happy to bring drinks to you as you bathe in the sun or enjoy the city views. In the building's marble-stone vault is a massage room, and you can also book yoga, pilates, or personal training sessions.
