Pros
  • The idyllic rural setting is excellent for those wanting to experience Menorca's peaceful countryside, though the coast and small town of Santo Tomás are just a 10-minute drive.
  • This is a great spot for walking, with Binigaus Beach a 45-minute walk away and the Cova des Coloms caves just 20 minutes away.
  • Rooms and suites have charming historical details, as many are in renovated farm buildings like old stables.
  • The Deluxe Suite room provides more space and a private pool.
  • Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner outside in the garden and pre-order packed lunches to take on daily excursions.
  • There's also an outdoor pool with a sundeck, a garden, an on-site bar, and a cozy communal lounge.
  • Once a fully operating farm, the property still has horses and fields of cows that you can visit.
Cons
  • Not all rooms are equal in comfort and aesthetics, as the standard rooms sit in the main building and lack the character of the other units.
  • Though the packed lunches are a nice option, you can't sit for lunch, meaning you'll need to go off-site.

Authenticity

This rural hotel was once a farm, covering 220 acres (89 hectares) and producing grains and milk. The hotel converted the farm, so you can enjoy the original buildings and even stay in renovated rooms in the stables. Though now a peaceful accommodation in the countryside, you can still visit the purebred horses and see cattle grazing over the old stone walls.

Location

As a rural hotel, you'll be surrounded by Menorca's famed inland nature of rolling fields and shrubby forests. Getting to the hotel requires a scenic drive along a residential road lined with stone walls, and you can enjoy a 20-minute stroll to the nearby caves of Cova des Coloms. Though rural, you won't be far from some of the island's main sites, as a quick 10-minute drive takes you to the coastal village of Santo Tomás, and you can reach several scenic coves (including Cala Mitjana) within 30 minutes.

Rooms & Bathrooms

The hotel offers four types of rooms, all featuring charming historical details like beamed ceilings, tiled floors, and/or exposed stone walls. Though perfectly comfortable, the standard option feels pretty basic, and all the others offer a bit more space, privacy, and the perk of having your own outdoor area. The suites add seating areas, and the Deluxe Suite features a private plunge pool and sun loungers.

Other Highlights

You can enjoy a daily breakfast outside on the patio or in the dining room, where the on-site restaurant provides dinner service. During the day, relax at the outdoor pool with its sun terrace, in the leafy garden, or in the cozy lounge. There's also a bar, perfect for grabbing a drink and sitting by the pool or in the garden. The hotel can arrange packed lunches and horseback riding at their stable.
