Laura Colina

Hi! I’m Laura

Born and raised in the vibrant beach paradise of Cancún, Mexico, one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations. Life has taken me on some incredible adventures, and now I find myself on the other side of the world, living in the Netherlands. At Kimkim, I’m passionate about ensuring travelers have unforgettable, seamless experiences in some of our most exciting destinations.

How did you get involved in travel?

"I got involved in travel through some of my summer jobs at various hotels in my hometown of Cancún. During those holidays, I had the chance to meet travelers from all over the world, hear their incredible stories, and make lasting friendships. Listening to their adventures sparked my curiosity and inspired me to explore the world myself. That’s when I realized how much I loved discovering new places, learning about different cultures, and connecting with people through travel."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"Most of the time, it's not just about the destination — it's about who you're with and the experiences you share. One of my favorite travel memories is a ski trip to Finland. The main goal was to learn to ski, but the real highlight came unexpectedly: watching the northern lights dance across the sky at –30°F. In that moment, the freezing temperature didn’t matter. We were in complete awe of nature's magic, sharing laughs and wonder with the people we love."
