2 Women looking for an adventurous trip to Morocco

Family of 2 visited Morocco in June 2018

“Looking to do an encompassing country tour for 3-4 days. Like the flexibility of tailored itineraries and curious if KimKim partners with any specialists who work throughout the whole country. We are 2 women in our 50s, so love adventurous activities and travel. Looking to do Rock of Gibraltar, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Fez, Sahara Desert, hammam, souks.”

Larbi Anzal, a local specialist from Morocco, helped this traveler put together a customized itinerary.

Summary of the trip planning conversation

Below are some useful excerpts from the trip planning conversation
Hello, It is very nice to receive your email and to learn of your interest in a tour to Morocco. I am happy to work with you to develop your ideal and most memorable tour.

A duration of 4 days is a bit short time to allow you to see, experience and enjoy much of what Morocco has to offer. But you can still visit and do some of what you had listed. Anzal Tours uses private transport with driver throughout your tour as this allows good flexibility and will maximize use of your holiday time.

I can give you a draft Trip Plan for your 4 Days trip to Morocco, but I need more information if you kindly let me know if your arrival will be by ferry? and from which city your departure will be? (Tanger, Fes, Casablanca or Marrakech)?

Looking forward to hear back from you.

Kind regards, Larbi

My sister and I are arriving in Lisbon on Saturday June 30 at 8 am. I can book a flight from Lisbon to the city you recommend. My friends (male and female in their 60s) are arriving on Sunday July 1 to Lisbon @ 4 pm and they will book at flight to the city you recommend. They only want to see Marakesh and Casablanca.

My sister and I would like to do the desert camel ride.

All four of us will be flying out on July Wednesday July 4, we can take a late flight

Based on this criteria can you recommend which flights will be best suited for our itinerary.

Thank you.

Larbi Anzal
Hello, It is very nice to hear from you. Thank you for your information.

The number of days that you have available, however, still does mean that all the places on your list cannot be achieved. To reach the Sahara is a long way away (and each way, there and back!).

I have penciled out a draft itinerary below, just for starters and to get the ball rolling.

You will need to check if there are flights to the places and that their times of arrival/departure will work for all of you in your group. Anzal Tours does not arrange/book flights.

June 30th:
You and your sister fly from Lisbon to Fes in late morning/afternoon flight; private transfer to accommodation; rest of day informally in Fes; overnight Fes.

July 1st:
You and your sister enjoy Fes today (perhaps you would like a half day City Guide in the morning?); meanwhile your 2 friends fly from Lisbon to Fes on an evening flight, private transfer to your accommodation, overnight Fes.

July 2nd:
All four of you have private transport and driver to take you to Marrakech via the Ouzoud Falls; overnight in Marrakech.

July 3rd:
EITHER, morning in Marrakech and then private transport and driver to Casablanca in the afternoon; overnight in Casablanca.
OR, have the whole day in Marrakech; overnight Marrakech.

July 4th:
EITHER, If already in Casablanca, have some time in the city (would you like a City Guide for the morning?); private transfer from your accommodation to the Casablanca Airport for a late afternoon/early evening flight.
OR, if still in Marrakech, private transport and driver from Marrakech to Casablanca Airport for a late afternoon/early evening flight. NOTE: There would not be time to travel to Casablanca from Marrakech, have some time in the city of Casablanca and then fly out (Casablanca Airport is on the Marrakech side of Casablanca and so a lot of "wasted" time would be involved going into Casablanca and then back out from Casablanca.

I hope that this is a help for you to get things shaping up.

Please let me know your thoughts and I can then prepare a more formal Trip Plan for you to consider, in the light of your comments.

Kind regards, Larbi
