I am a retired Park Ranger from Victoria Australia, my partner and I would like to do a self drive tour of Iceland , a 14 day tour around Iceland and through it to enable us to see as much of the country as we can.
Prefered vehicle would be a 4 wd ,
We would like to be able to travel some of the F roads
We are planning to arrive in Iceland around july 1 and leave around 16th. Is it possible to drive the roads early in july or would it be better to come later in the month.? Does the tour include accommodation,?”

Summary of the trip planning conversation
Hello! I specialize in customised holidays all over Iceland and would be happy to help you with a fantastic holiday next summer. The beginning of July is a great period to visit Iceland as days are really long, perfect to enjoy the mesmerizing Midnight Sun and have plenty of time and daylight, and temperatures are warm. Roads are all open by then so you can drive to most of the famous highlights of the country. Two weeks is ideal for a drive around the Ring Road, discovering some hidden gems in the highlands and visiting some remote sites.
I am going to attach an example of a two-week itinerary across Iceland to give you an idea of what it is possible to see. We can arrange the entire package including the car rental, accommodation and any tours or activities you are interested in. You will also receive a detailed sightseeing itinerary to the major sights and offbeat lesser-known places.
Let me know what kind of adventures you would like to include and what kind of accommodation suit you and then I can then send you a price for your dates.
Some of the things we would like to incorporate in our trip if possible would be
snorkeling, driving some of the F roads to be able to visit rural villages, hiking, glaciers, and swimming in thermal pools. Is dog sledding possible? We probably will be too late to see northern lights? Thanks!
