Fantastic trip.
The guide in Chef chaouen une was a bit « insistant » to bring us to his friend the carpet salesman and we felt pretty sure he was getting a return on the sales!
Otherwise, our driver Tarik was very nice and helpful!

We're fairly experienced travelers but didn't feel entirely confident planning a family trip to Morocco ourselves, so we found kimkim online and and hired them. The reviews were great but it still felt like a bit of a risk since we didn't know anyone who'd used them. What a great decision it turned out to be! Our week-long trip was perfect -- from the beautiful drives to the historic hotels (riads) to the guides in the cities. From the first phone call, all the way through, the team at kimkim couldn't have been more responsive, patient, and helpful. Ali booked everything for us, checking in frequently to make sure it all looked good, making small changes as needed, offering good advice, etc. We explored much of the country, from Chefchaouen (blue city) through Fez, Merzouga (glamping in the desert, camel rides, etc), and Skoura, to Marrakesh. Every riad was more amazing than the last - we couldn't have imagined better places to stay. Our tour guides in the cities were fantastic (fluent English speakers), our driver Hassan was wonderful (always knew where he was going, always on time). The whole adventure just couldn't have gone more smoothly or been more interesting and fun. Morocco is a gorgeous, fascinating country with wonderful people. We're so grateful to kimkim for planning an absolutely perfect trip for us and highly recommend them!

Our Morocco trip made it to the top three family trips. Amazing!!!
The majority of the planning/foot work was done by Louis and Yassine for us.
I oversaw the hotel choices because it mattered we slept in memorable, comfortable and quiet roads and hotels. They delivered above our expectations 98% of the time. We were very pleased. I am confident to recommend that their word/promise held true. Thank you Louis and Yassine.

The person who made the biggest difference in our trip was Abdr Fateh Makhlouf!
A compassionate, forward thinking and our friendly driver Maukhlouf, who by the end of the 11 days trip became like family member.
He was punctual; he incentivized us to start earlier but worked with us on days we didn’t get out at 8 am; he was “magical” in planning the road stops. Not even once did we feel, like it was taking too long to get to the next destination! He planned very timely stops for tea or bathroom breaks for the family.
He paid attention and kept the inside of the vehicle very clean and comfortable.
Thank you Fateh Mouflouf!

PS: Our local guides arranged by Loius and Yassine were all great!

DURING THE TRIP
My trip goes well throughout my 9 Days road trip.
I was first pick up by Mr. Mohamed on 23 Dec (Friday) @ Casablanca Airport. He was on time and holding the label with my name. Not to blame him, the label with Original Travel is a bit too small on the paper but was OK and manage to meet up with him. :D
Mr. Mohamed was an awesome driver+guide. He has been very helpful and very caring throughout the journey. We have lots of laughter like a friend instead of client throughout our lengthy 2000km+ road journey.

I've total 8 nights in Morocco.
The riad the recommended by Mr.Ali @ Fes was gorgeous, the moment you walked into the riad, seems like walking inside one of the palace.

So far, the most enjoyable stay was in Merzouga in the middle of nowhere of Erg Chebbi Sahara desert where I stayed in the luxury camp of Tiziri Camp. The merely 2Hrs camel ride journey can be boring to many but to me it's simply awesome accompany with a great camel driver Mr. Hamid during the sunset. I would like to mention a great staff there in Tiziri Camp and wish I would return someday to stay there for more day. Thank you Mr. Ahmed, Mr. Hassan (The Chef), Mr.Mohamad and Mr. Mustafa for taking care well on me during my stay in Tiziri Camp.

I need to be frank that my stay in Marrakech didn't go well as per plan.
NOT to blame Original Travel for their planning but instead "The Management Team" from the Riad Passali itself.

The management in Riad Passali is very unreasonable. I supposed to stay there for 2 nights consecutively from 29 - 31 Dec 2022. But then, imagine on the 2nd day 30 Dec early morning after having my breakfast. I supposed she is the riad manager (Incharge Person) asked me to leave and given the reason that Riad Passali is overbooked. As Riad Passali has another group from Germany already booked the room that I'm staying. This is kind of discriminating. I was asked to move out from Riad Passali then move to the other way way way smaller riad few roads down away from Riad Passali namely Riad El Walida. To be frank, I'm flexible in any kind of accommodation. But my in opinion, the management in Riad Passali is very unprofessional.

Riad Passali : Awful management especially to the lady manager (Unfortunately I didn't get her name).
To be fair, I must say the guy who first receiving me to the Riad Passali was Mr. Ayoub had been very friendly and helpful. I'm very sorry for him to work in Riad Passali with such as poor management. I met him in my 1st evening stay on 29 Dec then again early in the morning of 30 Dec while he started to prepare my breakfast. I supposed this had been a routine for him. I doubt, Riad Passali is treating his staff well needless to say to the solo guest like me.

Riad El Walida : (This is the substituted riad that given by the lady from Riad Passali).
The staff working there is friendly but not so informative and not proactive. They don't even tell the WIFI password or what time is the breakfast that going to serve the following day. WIFI only workable around the common area. Well, WIFI is small thing but the service team still need to brush up their skill in term of handling guests.

Imagine, my stay in Marrakech make me feel like I was being downgraded from Riad Passali to the Riad El Walida. If you have been to these 2 riads before then you know how it I felt and I started to compared.

To Original Travel (Kim Kim) side. I understand they did nothing wrong. The problem that created was solely from the management from Riad Passali.

I must say a million thanks to Mr. Said from Original Travel (Kim Kim). He has been very professional that trying his very best to solve my problem in Marrakech. If without Mr. Said, the plan will not go well in Marrakech after the unexpected incident ignite by The Management Team of Riad Passali.

On my last day, Mr. Mohamed who was my 8 days awesome driver need to bid farewell with me as he had been assigned to another new group. Mr Said did a very well arrangement for my transport on the last day. I was assigned assigned with a new driver that send me the Jardin Majorelle and to Marrakech Airport. The new driver was Mr. Soufiane. I must say that Mr. Soufiane was another awesome driver. Very helpful and informative too.

Overall, I would like to highly recommended Original Travel (Kim Kim) to the world.
The are so far the travel agent that offering the best travel service.
Once again, million thanks to Mr. Ali, Mr, Said, Mr. Mohamed and Mr. Soufiane.

Extremely NOT recommended. The only positive side is the hotel room is clean which is worth only 2 stars. I was very disappointed that I was assigned to Room 201 that right below the kitchen. Imagine the kitchen was buys until late 11:30PM. Then again, busy again around wee hour @ 5AM. I was having a sleepless night. I did feedback the issue at that time. But, the staff has no will to offer to change me to other room instead they send me a facility guy. The facility guy can't help much and not to blame him, as the kitchen needs to run. The next day morning during my check-out. The staff at front desk apologize then giving me a ridiculous offer. They offer me to stay there for one more night and will upgrade me to the suite room. Hey. Come on. You should had offered a quiet room when I first feedback the night before. I don't need a suite room but a decent quiet room away from the kitchen, that's all I need!

We are, however, sorry to hear about your experience in Boumalne Dades and Marrakech. We have been proposing these accommodations for our guests for many years ago and we have never received any negative feedback about them. I have contacted the hotel responsible in Xaluca Dades and he promised that such a situation wouldn't take place again. We have implemented a new communication system for our booking manager to check with the hotels about the locations of the rooms in each hotel to assure that all the aspects of comfort are provided to our guests. Concerning Riad Passali in Marrakech, we have made a decision to not propose it anymore as they seemed to be irresponsible after your visit.

The vocabulary and command of English language that Karim had was exceptional
Everything we asked for was very well organized and fulfilled. Transport, accommodation, and specific tours, of the best quality.
In Marrakesh, we met Hannan, who was our tour guide, in addition to being super well received by her, we were invited to a sensational dinner tour which my children thoroughly enjoyed.
Although all the cities we visited surprised us, it was the period of touring the dessert camp enchanted us the most. It was a very comfortable and relaxing tent stay to end our tour.
Much more than just providing services, and quick in responding to our questions we feel very welcomed and always taken care of by them.
By the end of the trip, we felt more like friends than customers. Highly recommend them.

Sharon organised a great trip for my family and Abdou our tour guide was wonderful. We were moving a lot and there were some long days but that’s what we were there for. Some of the glitches, included a last minute change in one of our Riads which I would have like to know ahead of time and twice the Riads messing up the rooms we were supposed to stay in. When we called Riad al Makan to re-confirm your reservations shortly before your arrival (as we always do), they told us that they had a couple of large groups staying there during your dates and, because we know how noisy it can get there when it is at capacity, we requested that they move your reservation to their smaller (and quieter) annex property. I was tasked with communicating that change to you and I neglected to do so. For that, I am truly sorry. We certainly didn't mean to surprise you with that, especially after your long journey from the desert.
So, again.. thank you for your fabulous review (despite the glitches) and thanks even more for trusting us with your family adventure to Morocco!

However when our party of 22 arrived there , our family was told that we had to go to another tent. We waited for 20 minutes in the cold and were transferred to another, basic tent with cheap and bare minimum furnishings. Another family in our group also had the same experience. We had to be driven back for dinner to where the rest of the party were housed. We reported this to our local tour guide Ibrahim who made an alternate arrangement which was slightly better than the basic tent but still not the luxury tent we had originally booked and which others in our group got lucky enough to stay in.
This experience left a bad taste, especially since we were the first to book it and because we paid the same (high) price as the families who got the luxury tents.
Again, in Ourrzazate and Marrakech our accommodation were changed from a central location to different ones. In Ouarzazate, we were supposed to stay in a traditional Riad, and instead stayed in a standard hotel. The accommodation in Marrakesh was a good resort, but it took about 45 minutes each way to the city center, while the one I had planned for was right in the center with slightly more luxurious accommodations. Also the hotel we did stay in did not cater to our vegetarian options, despite our repeated prior communications with them, which led to many of us having to skip dinner on New Year’s Eve.
At the very least, I would have liked to have received communication about these changes. Not being informed about the downgrades made the experience all the more stressful and disappointing.

We were booked to stay here , but when were arrived we were transferred in a vehicle to another camp with cheap and basic accommodation after making us wait in the cold for 20 minutes. We had booked in Paradis Du Sahara but when we went there we were told we would be transferred to another camp- were made to wait for 20 minutes for the keep in the cold weather and transferred to a cheap and basic camp. We were again transferred for dinner to the paradis du Sahara and when we told our local tour manager that we were supposed to be staying in paradis du Sahara- he arranged us accommodation in another basic camp but with better bathrooms- very disappointed with the experience -we felt cheated

Our cooking class was at Faim D’epices just outside of Marrakech. Transport is provided by the class. Run by a couple - a French person, Michele and his wife, chef Ilham. It was really fun day! The cooking class was fun. Michele was entertaining and educational and chef Ilham shared some amazing recipes. Definitely a thumbs up and fun activity in Marrakech

If the idea behind using an agency is to make the travel experience seamless and easy, then working with kimkim and their local partners is absolutely the right move. Our flight from the US was cancelled and rescheduled...they made everything work. They recommended and booked wonderful hotels, adapted on the fly to changes we requested, and were there for us whenever we reached out.
Marrakesh is unique and interesting and Fes is all about the history and the culture, but you cannot beat... Read more

This was our favorite part of the trip. The camp feels understated and luxurious, with lots of charming decor and very welcoming staff. The food was also excellent — we really enjoyed the meatballs for lunch and the fish for dinner. The activities were very easy to set up — we did quads, camels, and a last minute e bike trip which offered incredible views of the desert terrain. The sunset and sunrise from the tents are excellent.

This place exceeded our expectations. The resort clearly makes an effort to integrate understated mountain luxury with understanding and respect for Berber culture. We had the pleasure of staying there on New Year’s Eve and they had a feast prepared for us as well as a night of music and dancing with people from the town. The staff were very helpful, getting us a hike and mule ride sorted to fit into our very tight itinerary. We also made friends with the other guests from the UK, Spain, and Canada which was a nice touch!

Really quaint stay for a classic riad experience. The rooftop terrace was lovely and the staff were hospitable with welcome tea and snacks as well as lunch and breakfast while we were there. The owner, Abdou, helped us with extra meals and calling a cab when we had made a reservation outside the Medina.

We had an amazing day visiting the city of Marrakesh, it's mosques, streets, and the Majorelle Gardens, and closing the day with a wonderful private food tour of the market. She took us on an interesting, colorful, and rich experience while giving us wonderful memories and flavors we will always remember. I would always contact her if we plan on visiting Marrakesh again.

Abdoul, our driver, made us feel at home from the moment he picked us up at the airport, until he saw us off to come back home. He was always warm, funny, kind and friendly and by far, one of the best drivers we've ever seen. His expertise was palpable at every moment of the trip. We cannot recommend Sharon and our tour manager, Abdou. Throughout the entire trip planning process, Sharon answered every question and was ready to tackle all obstacles. We traveled to Morocco with 19 people, with three different arrival dates. Sharon helped coordinate complex room assignments, a private family event in the desert to celebrate a birthday, and so much more. The trip philosophy of Abdou and Sharon is to focus on locals in Morocco and to show a picture of Morocco that focuses on its true essence, the culture and local food of the people. During the actual trip, Abdou made everything seamless and everything was arranged without hesitation. He had a positive spirit and encouraged us to live in the moment the entire time. Every accommodation and activity was wonderful and would do this trip again in a heartbeat! We highly highly recommend a night in the Sahara desert camps and spending time in Dades. If we could do this again, probably would spend more time in Chefchaouen and Dades, and one less night in Marrakech.

As we traveled across Morocco Abdou introduced us to the amazing culture and history that this country holds. Immediately you can tell he loves Morocco and that he's very passionate about sharing his culture with everyone. Some of the highlights were watching the sunset next to a Spanish mosque on top of a mountain, riding the camels through the desert, and being invited to his home where we met his wonderful wife, Sharon.
During the bus rides, Abdou kept us entertained. We played guessing games and the kids even wrote a paragraph based off the game :
"The country of Morocco is represented by it's flag which include the colors red and green. So far on this trip we visited the city Chefchaouen which is known for being the the blue city. Some of the meals we have eaten so are are Tagine which consists of potatoes, carrots and other vegetables and Couscous. We also visited Volubilis where we saw Roman ruins. Then we went to Fez where we saw many donkeys and stayed in the riad. Lastly we have tried Hammam which was an interesting experience for us all"
