Hotel La Bella Granada

Relaxed hotel right on Bib-Rambla, a buzzy and historic plaza in the middle of the city

Overview

It doesn't get more central than La Bella Granada, which opens up to Plaza de Bib-Rambla, the city's buzzy square with 17th-century fountains. Though central, the hotel offers a quiet reprieve and channels the city's Art Deco and mid-century styles with warm, bright, and cozy decor. Enjoy relaxing in the lounge overlooking the square or take a drink on the terrace with Cathedral and Alhambra views.

Pros
  • The hotel's location is ideal, as the entrance is right on Plaza de Bib-Rambla, the historic city center's main square.
  • You'll be just a few blocks from significant sites, including the Catedral de Granada, Dobla de Oro, and La Alcaicería.
  • Enjoy views of the Plaza de Bib-Rambla, Cathedral, and Alhambra from a small yet comfy terrace.
  • The decor is colorful and fun, taking inspiration from Art Deco and mid-century design.
Cons
  • The reception isn't on the ground floor and there's only one elevator to take you to the lobby, which means waiting for at least a few minutes during busy times.

Authenticity

The entrance to the hotel opens up to Plaza de Bib-Rambla, which features several outdoor cafés and restaurants full of life, plus 17th-century fountains. If you want to be in the heart of the historic Old Town and enjoy the area's buzz, this is a great spot. You can also enjoy the hotel's Art Deco and mid-century decor that once dominated the city.

Location

You'll be in the middle of it all, right on Plaza de Bib-Rambla and just steps from the Catedral de Granada. You can easily walk to nearby sites like the Dobla de Oro, La Alcaicería shopping street, the historic Albaicín neighborhood, and even the Alhambra (about a 15-minute walk).

Rooms & Bathrooms

The hotel entrance is bare, with just an elevator to take you to the reception, lobby, floors with rooms, and terrace. But the rooms make up for that bland introduction with bright, colorful, and vintage decor. All are surprisingly spacious, and some include seating areas or balconies. Bathrooms are a little small but modern and clean.

Other Highlights

The lounge near the reception is certainly a highlight, with a 24/7 self-service bar, comfy sofas, vintage lighting, tiled floors, and balconies with views of the square. The breakfast area is also quite nice, with a buffet served in a historic room with a stained-glass ceiling. But the hotel's main highlight is certainly its terrace with views of the square, Cathedral, and Alhambra.
