Join your guide for a trip to the southern end of Lombok. Along the way, you'll make several stops to discover what daily life is like for the island's residents, many of whom are from the Sasak ethnic group. One of the first stops will be the colorful morning market in the village of Ampenan. Then continue to a traditional fishing village, where you'll have the opportunity to see Sasak women making earthenware pottery using the same techniques that their ancestors have practiced for generations.

After this insightful look into the Sasak culture, continue to the harbor at Lembar, filled with colorful motorized outrigger boats. Board one of these boats to travel to Gili Nanggu, part of the Gili Islands, where you'll snorkel and swim in the afternoon before returning to Lembar and then transferring back to your hotel.

Day 3: Explore Komodo Island on a Cruise

Cruises in Komodo National Park

Early this morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Lombok's airport. Catch a domestic flight to Komodo Island, then head to the port to board your cruise through Komodo National Park. The park consists of three main islands — Komodo, Rinca, and Padar — and several smaller islands. You'll stop at a number of islands along the journey. Off the shores of Kelor Island, go on a snorkeling excursion to see vibrant corals, seagrass, and diverse marine life. On Rinca Island, you'll have the chance to spot famous Komodo dragons on a guided nature hike. Then the boat will anchor near Kalong Island, where you'll have another opportunity to snorkel, swim, and explore. Enjoy views of the night sky before getting some rest in your cabin on the boat.

Day 4: Cruise Around Padar & Spot Komodo Dragons

Komodo dragons in the wild

Your sailing adventure continues today. Enjoy breakfast on the boat as you cruise towards the islands of Padar and Komodo. Today's plan features several opportunities for snorkeling — look for manta rays and turtles underwater — and chances to spot Komodo dragons while hiking. Explore the famous Pink Beach on Komodo Island, so named for the color of its sand: the hue is created by a mixture of crushed red and white corals. In the afternoon, accompanied by another ranger, you will go on a nature walk to discover other wildlife on the island, including lizards, wild pigs, and parrots.

Day 5: Depart Lombok - End of Trip

Boats in the Bangsal harbor
The trip ends today. You'll transfer back to Bali to catch a flight out. Safe travels!
