Overall our trip was amazing. The Katla Ice Cave was a highlight and Maria from Troll Expeditions was great. Also, kayaking at the Glacier Lagoon and our whale watching excursion with Laki tours in Olafsvik were both fantastic.

Hanna was so helpful pointing out the best things to do and planning a terrific itinerary customized to what we were looking to do.

She was responsive and able to make changes during planning when requested. She understood what would work best for us and provided great tips in the itinerary.

Guides who were especially good were Johnathan for the Silfra snorkel and Pawel for the ice cave.

Iceland was an amazing experience! It was so lovely to have KimKim handle everything from hotels to excursion tickets to the rental car. We really didn't have to think about anything! Our trip plan included driving maps, so we knew how long we would drive each day and the sights we would encounter along the way. We had a couple of hiccups due to weather (including losing a day of our trip bc of flight cancellations), and KimKim responded very quickly to our issues and moved things around. Our favorite town was Stykkisholmur, and we loved the gorgeous landscapes we drove through to get there. The Folklore Tour was an amazing addition to our time in Reykjavik, and we really felt like we got a good feel for the South Coast and western Iceland. Terry did a wonderful job incorporating the sights we wanted to visit and keeping us within budget for the trip. She made sure we received relevant information about clothing and food in Iceland as well as the detailed itinerary for the trip in a timely manner. We would absolutely use KimKim again!

The hotel was right in the middle of downtown which would normally be great, but it happened to be Pride Week, and the hotel was directly across from an Irish Pub. It was super loud until 4:30 am. However, we popped in our earplugs and managed.

Lava Tunnel Tour

I had a great time on the Lava Tunnel Tour. It was really cool and informative. The guide took us through three different levels in the tunnel and gave us a history of how it was created by volcanoes. The guide also made sure to shine his light on different areas so that we could take pictures. It was fun, a bit damp, but nothing too crazy. I'm glad we were able to add this to our itinerary.

Silvia planned an amazing trip for our family. My trip to Iceland was absolutely incredible. From beginning until the end, Gummi (Guðmundur) provided the utmost care and dedication to make my trip worth it. I'd highly recommend going through him--please request for his suggestions when booking through Kimkim! I enjoy hiking and nature, and Gummi did a great job of suggesting beautiful stops along the ring road for me. Additionally, Gummi knew which activities are a must-do, and suggested those specific activities. He was also flexible in changing my itinerary when I requested for it, making the trip feel completely in my control without me doing any of the groundwork.

Lastly, Kimkim was also super helpful throughout the journey. They were quick to respond and resolve any hiccups (small hiccup when I was picking up the car and at one of the hotels that couldn't find the booking in my 10 day trip).

My family of 5 ages 12-77 had an incredible 11-day trip to Iceland facilitated by Lisbet and Kim Kim. We especially enjoyed up close viewing of whales, puffins, and icebergs; every day's beautiful and varied scenery; and great food at almost every stop. Ending the trip at the Sky Lagoon was also a highlight. Thank you Lisbet, for designing a well-paced trip for our crew and for being extremely responsive and helpful all along the way.

This was my first time using Kimkim and my experience was seamless. Eric truly put together an epic trip to Iceland. He was instantly on top of any request or issue we encountered during our travels. The driving itinerary was perfectly set up with choices to direct each day as we saw fit or as weather dictated. I feel like we didn’t miss any obscure destination which no matter how much I researched couldn’t have been found on my own.

We had an awesome time on the Ring Road! Francesca made a great itinerary for us, with a great mix of hikes, scenic stops, and cool towns. The logistics of the rental car and all of the great lodgings couldn’t have been better! It was very relaxing to know that so many highlights had been organized for us.

Gummi is the bomb!! He was truly excellent in every way: organized, planned exactly the type of trip that we asked him to plan. He was available when we needed him and always replied very quickly when we visited Iceland! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

My trip to Iceland was cut short due to illness, Eric helped to secure a refund for a ⛴️ that was booked through KimKim and assist with paperwork for travel insurance.
He was very helpful in securing accomodations and making last minute changes for our small group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Iceland, although it would have been a bit nicer if it had not rained quite so much.
Terry was very good to work with and helped us plan out the trip that would suit us. We truly had an amazing trip!

The room was fine and close to the airport which was what we were looking for. However, when we checked in the front desk clerk was on the phone and just pointed to a room key. There were 3 keys there and we just picked up ours without any assistance at all from the desk clerk. We just needed a stay close to the airport and it did the job.

This hotel was fine. The room was very bare bones. They did not have a closet and had 3 hangers hanging from a curtain rod. The black out curtains did do the job. Most cabins were close to their parking spot, but unfortunately, ours was not. If it had not been raining/pouring, it would not have been such a big deal. the breakfast was ok. It was nice to have a restaurant on the premises as there was not a lot nearby.

The room could have had a closet/wardrobe in the room for clothes. I don’t recall there even being a dresser.

As stated above. In addition, the side of the bed was right up against the wall, even there was plenty of room for it to be pushed away from the side wall. We ourselves moved the bed over so that I didn’t have to crawl down to the bottom of the bed to get out.

Very unfortunately, we did not get to do the Zodiac boat tour as it was cancelled due to high winds and rain. What a disappointment! I had to put a star to continue, but obviously, not having done the boat tour, it is not valid.

We could not have been happier with our 12-day trip to Iceland! Each scheduled activity was memorable, timely, and extremely well run. Our favorite had to be Kayaking in Glacier Lagoon with B, though Helga's knowledge of everything Iceland on our Super Jeep tour was phenomenal. When my wife discovered that our excellent Glacier Cave guide, Ace, was also Sigtryggr on one of her favorite shows, "Last Kingdom", that immediately jumped to her favorite part of Iceland and the trip. Beyond the scheduled activities, the recommended route and stops were well thought out, balanced day to day, perfect for what our group of 6 had indicated we wanted to do, and varied throughout the trip.

We made several changes throughout the planning process and even after arriving and Elisa was always extremely responsive to everything we requested. It was pleasing to know that we had a local contact that could help us should we need it.

This was our first time working with KimKim and it was a great experience working with Eric. He helped book hotels, car, and tours in Iceland that met our interests, time frame, and budget. We really enjoyed several of the hikes and activities that he recommended/booked for us (Glymur waterfall - awesome!, Reykjadalur hike with hot springs, and the Hjorleifshofdi Cape + Cave). We also really loved the Puffin tour at Ingolfshofdi cape - such a great experience with a small family business. I would use KimKim again!

It was a fantastic experience all around.
Planning the trip was easy with simply stating our interests and Emanuela assembled and booked the itinerary. We had plenty of input during the trip planning to make sure everything we wanted was included.
The trip summary and itinerary was well organized with sightseeing suggestions, food choices and reservation details. Each day had it's own plan with driving details through Google maps.
During the trip Emanuela was available via WhatsApp for any urgent questions or issues. She was very helpful and made our trip a lasting memory.
We will definitely be back and booking with her again!

We had an incredible time in Iceland. The views, sights, and experiences were unforgettable. We booked a whale-watching tour with Elding and saw some Minke whales and a humpback whale. We also booked a glacier lagoon boat tour as well and were amazed at the icebergs and blue glacier water. The kids had a fantastic time and truly enjoyed themselves. Hrifunes Nature Park was fantastic views from our cabin.

Gummi, thank you very much for all of your help in arranging our trip. Our itinerary was perfect, and we liked that we could customize it, especially when traveling with children. Your tips and commentary were very helpful. I think this was the best way to travel in Iceland and we had a lot of freedom to choose what we wanted to do and see. I looked at other Iceland travel sites and we were limited to certain choices of activities that didn't suit us, so we're so happy we found KimKim.

This is a cabin off the beaten path. About 6 km of gravel road to get to (30 minutes away from Vik), but well worth it for the privacy and amazing views. The firewood hot tub will take 4-5 hours to warm up. Sauna inside was perfect and we enjoyed that. There is a washing machine and dryer, and they left a few detergent tabs for us to use, along with a drying rack. The staff was friendly. We loved our stay there.

The guesthouse is practical for cost-savings, but note that it means a shared bathroom. It was a bit of an inconvenience, especially with children, but other than that that it was fine. Our second stay was in the studio in the top floor and we had our own space and bathroom, which was really nice. The breakfast every morning was great. Lots of choices of food items.
