Our experience working with Sharon at Morocco Immersion Tours was perfect. We first laid out the plan for where we were coming from to start the tour and where we were going when the tour ended. We reviewed options based on various numbers of days in the country and what made the most sense. Sharon shared opportunities for all of the choices and helped us to come up with an awesome 7-day trip. We actually changed the plan from flying in from Spain to taking a ferry. Sharon made the accommodation with no problem. Omar, our tour director, was also very accommodating and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed traveling with him.
The local guides Said, Mohammed and Sellam were incredibly well-versed on history and culture of their respective cities and held our interest for the entirety of their city tours.
They and Omar made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience for us. Their pride in their country and their desire to assure a great experience was palpable and we will not forget our wonderful adventure through Morocco.

This was my second time using kimkim to plan a trip and I have to say, it has been a great experience each time. This trip just for my husband and me and we had a just shy of a week to see some of Morocco before having to meet up with our daughter in Malaga, Spain. Hamza put together a trip that allowed us to see a lot but didn't feel hectic. Our driver, Reda, was wonderful. He spoke English very well, was fun to chat with and always very kind and polite when answering our many questions about the country and culture. I wish we had had more time. A particular highlight was Chefchaoen, the blue city, which was so beautiful and charming. The riad we stayed at was beautiful and well located and the hammam there was a great experience as well. I also enjoyed our guide in Fes very much as he is a scholar and had a lot to share about the relationship between Morocco and the Jewish population, which was fascinating and heartwarming. The only thing that was a disappointment was that we had planned a surf outing at the end and it was not the right season for a real surfer to catch waves. We ended up going for a swim and that was lovely. Next time we'll check on surf seasons before trying to integrate this activity into a trip.

Riad Ghita is beautiful with rich tilework in the rooms and in the sitting area. We took dinner on the terrace our first night which was delicious and fun. Our room felt very lush and authentic. The location was good in that it was at the edge of the medina so it's didn't feel so overwhelming as it might if one was deep in the medina.

Ride the Wave: An Epic Surfing Journey in Tangier

This one was a miss for us because we booked this since my husband is a surfer. Unfortunately, this time of year (July) is not the season for decent waves so this one didn't work out for us. It also sounds like there are better places to surf in Morocco. We ended up going for a lovely swim at the beach there so all was not lost. If you are a "real" surfer, do your research in advance!

We had an absolutely amazing trip to Morocco. Thanks for arranging a fantastic itinerary Majid. Our driver, Moha was one of the BEST driver and guide we have had through many trips my husband I have taken over the world. H not only was he friendly, informative, and safe driver, he made us feel at home and gave us a lot of insight to Moroccan culture.
We had very prompt and great guides in all the places we visited with our favorite in Fez and Volubulis.
The stay in the beautiful resort town of Bin el Ouidane was very memorable and highly recommended. The resort was beautiful with charming suite/ views and people. Our dinner meal prepared vegetarian had the best Tagine in Morocco and other dishes were also very good.
Riad Larroussa in FEZ with green room was stunning. The staff there was absolutely fantastic and very gracious. We even enjoyed the Hamam and massages there.
Same for Riad Lina at Chefchaouen- the women staff there were so nice and attentive- they also accommodated and made great vegetarian meal. we had a great time there.
The Villa Mandarine in Rabat was a charming quiet resort away from the Medina with lovely art work and beautifully decorated rooms.
Casablanca Sofitel staff was also very friendly and gracious and we had a wonderful view of the mosque and city from our room on the 15 th floor.
Majid and Moha thank you again for making our Morocco trip one of the most memorable, fun and relaxing trip ever.
We will highly recommend and hopefully ( Insha Allah) get to work with you and Moha again in our future trip to Morocco.

Great tour! Kahlid was exceptional and I’d recommend asking for him specifically. You spend a lot of time with your driver and he was attentive, knowledgeable, always available and friendly.
We loved Fes the most. The riad there was exceptional - maison bleue. We also loved white camel lodge.
Skip the camel ride and keep Chefchouen to a day trip or at the most one overnight. Also, the hammam at the El Saadi wasn’t great which was recommended by tour. We loved hammam de la rose right across from the Bahia Palace and would encourage you to suggest this place!
Wanderlust staff was always available and made changes easily on the fly.

Sharon planned the perfect itinerary. The accommodations were especially fabulous. And her brother-in-law Hicham was the BEST guide and driver. He was exceptionally kind, safe, competent and client focused. We learned so much from him, knew we were in good hands and sincerely enjoyed his company. Meeting his family was one of the highlights of our trip.

We had such an amazing experience on our trip to Morocco. Hamza helped us plan a trip that was exactly what we wanted. Our driver Samir made sure that we had a fantastic time and helped coordinate anything we needed. I recommend this trip highly!

KimKim went above and beyond on the trip. Our driver Khaleed always was on time, helpful and greeted us with water during a hot period. Both of the tours we went on were very informative, my one complaint is we wish we would have been warned about the prices and haggling before being dropped of at the rug store. We happened to be there during a holiday and our Fes tour guide welcomed us into his home for a meal since everything was closed. Other than that it was truly an amazing trip and Megan and Winnie at Wunderlast was always helpful, even responding promptly and helping with reservations on the groups,

Kimkim was a fantastic provider for our trip to Morocco. Beyond organizing the hotels and recommending which cities to visit, their organization was second to none and made our trip run exceptionally smoothly. Our driver, Khalid, took great care of us, sharing different facts about the cities we traveled through and showing us some of the most beautiful landscapes. Our guides in both Fes and Marrakech made us feel properly welcome in the cities and helped us break through the crowds of tourists to find the hidden gems in both cities. Luxury Oasis Camp Merzouga was unexpectedly impressive. My girlfriend booked a tent with AC, which was a blessing given the extreme heat. Though it was quite hot initially, the AC eventually kicked in and made it bearable. The camp was well-equipped, and having a shower in the middle of the Sahara was a pleasant surprise.

Dar Kika Salam in Rabat was incredible. The manager was one of the kindest people I've ever met, making our stay truly special. The hospitality was top-notch, and the Riad itself was beautiful and cozy. Definitely one of my favorite stays during the trip.

Camel trek to your camp

Wow, the camel trek to the camp in the Sahara was an absolutely unique experience. I had never seen anything like the vast desert landscape before. It was surreal being out there, especially with the intense heat, even at 8 PM, when it was still over 105 degrees. The guides were super welcoming and made the experience even better

Tayebb was our main guide from the beginning (Tangier) until end (Marrakech), very professional, polite and knowledgeable about history of the region. Two of us went on the Morocco tour with him.
Camel ride in Erg Chebbi with Sunset was memorable. Hotels and Camps were high class except the hotel Kasbah Tirit in
Ait Benhaddou was substandard, to the point of lack of sanitation (roche infested). I highly recommend not to use this hotel.
Overall our experience was excellent. I will highly recommend for anyone.

This was the trip of a lifetime expertly organized by the Kim Kim team who contracted with locally the Original travels team. Said was responsive and listened well and expertly coordinated everything from the beginning. The trip included everything we wanted in the time frame desired and all the most affordable price for the luxury and service we received. We were picked up in a nice new vehicle and met our amazing guide and driver Karim- everything was coordinated seamlessly and it was clear their knowledge, experience and care in how well this company and Karim took care of its guests. Incredible itinerary, fantastic luxury hotels, comfortable car and skilled driving and wonderful personable driving and guides for interesting customized and adventurous personalized itineraries with interesting food, things to see, activities and spectacular views and sights and people. We particularly liked the visits and meals at homes of the local people which is unique and it was so clear that this company and Karim went above and beyond to provide such memorable, luxurious yet affordable, fun, interesting, cultural and action filled and historic trip with great food, restaurants, hotels and activities. We loved the desert camp and the food tours and markets. It was really nice getting to know our driver Karim and he was so authentic and personable throughout our whole 8 day trip that it really made our trip a wonderful experience. If in Morocco and needing a driver or guide or tour - everybody should choose Kimkim for all and every future trip. I know I will in the future!

Ali and the other guys who work at Original Travels are very nice people. Our driver Nurudin was super nice and excellent at driving. Unfortunately they are not experts in luxury travel and do not know much about the type of travel we were looking for. I blame Kimim for this because they connected us with these professionals. It was not really their fault because they were just trying to do their best. None of the locals had actually been inside the palaces we wanted to see so how could they be 'specialists." We are highly disappointed in Kimkim as a service and do not recommend it.

This is a lovely hotel with amazing views and helpful courteous staff. The breakfast is also delicious and the rooms are nice. Things to be mindful of, this is a dry hotel, so there is no bar. There are a lot of stairs and so no appropriate for folks who cannot climb several flights of stairs.

I was a little skeptical about using kimkim at first-- but it proved to be a thoroughly convenient and helpful service in planning our trip(s) to Morocco and Portugal. The travel planning services provided by Ali and Said at Original Travels were excellent! Ali and Said were always responsive to our questions and the 6 day custom trip they planned for us through Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains and Erg Chebbi exceeded our expectations. Our driver, Tarik, was excellent. We spent 8-10 hours a day with him driving from one location to the next and really appreciated his good humor, knowledge of the local area and very safe driving skills.

Majid was an excellent travel agent who listened to all our requests and made them all happen, in addition to a surprise anniversary party with special monogrammed cakes and delicious wine . He went above and beyond to make sure our trip was wonderful. When we wrote to him he answered in record time, even though it was in the middle of the night sometimes. Our accommodations were excellent and the tour fabulous. We were very lucky to have this knowledgeable, warm friendly man as our travel agent.

This was an oasis high in the mountains and we loved it! Our room had the largest bathtub in it that I’ve ever seen! And after hiking in the Atlas Mountains, we totally enjoyed our soak! We didn’t go on the hike to the waterfall.. instead they said we were going to a bridge. The path was very difficult going across slippery rocks and slipping into the stream. My husband turned around but instead of having him stay at a place near the water, the guide ushered him all the way back to a restaurant where they failed to give him lunch. 3 of us chose to wait by a restaurant for the 4 who went all the way. I was stressed because I knew my husband had gone back and was alone. The communication on this outing was not good and it was very stressful.

Our stay at Dar Lys was incredible. From the moment we walked in, greeted by the scent of orange blossoms and the sight of parrots, we felt welcome. The room setup was perfect, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was delightful, and the massages my daughter and I had were among the best we've ever experienced. The downtime they scheduled for us was much appreciated, allowing us to recover from our travels. This riad set a high standard for the rest of our trip.

A Family's Guided tour of Fez

The tour guide in Fez was exceptional. He took us on a fascinating journey through the ancient city, and we even had a tea experience that was quite delightful. Although the lunch part of the tour was a bit confusing, as we weren't sure if it was included or not, we decided not to have lunch since we were still full from the huge breakfasts we had. Overall, the experience was insightful and enjoyable.

The journey from Fez to the Sahara Desert was long but surprisingly pleasant. Our driver was excellent, making regular stops for us to stretch and use clean bathrooms. We had a great time at the stops, especially at the Alps-like area and where we saw monkeys. One of the lunch stops was not the best, as it seemed overrun with tour buses and wasn't very clean, but it was probably the best option available in that remote area.

The dinner at the Moroccan home was okay. The family was hospitable, and the food was fine, but the experience felt a bit awkward. It was interesting but not something I would want to repeat multiple times.

The tour of the Hassan II Mosque was great. The guide kept us on time, and the experience was smooth and well-organized. The mosque itself is stunning and definitely worth the visit.

We had wonderful time in Morocco & KimKim rep Ali Moujane did wonderful job organizing and planning our trip. Our driver Soufian Belkach, was just amazing. Always on time, resourceful and very knowledgeable and the 4 cities we visited.

Our guide Mohamed in Fez was fantastic. He’s funny, very knowledgeable and has 25+ of experience made the visit even more special.

Hanna was our guide for city tour in Marrakesh. She was very knowledge, great energy and enjoyed her perspective.

The entire trip was just magical and I will be back and will definitely us KimKim again!

My husband and I had a spectacular time on the Honeymoon Tour. First, our driver, Hamid, was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and really made the trip so much better. We learned a lot about Berber culture and the desert towns from him as well as all the other cities on our itinerary. He knew the best ways to adjust the schedule when things came up (like the mosque in Casablanca being closed for prayers).

Second, this itinerary has it all: historical sites, cultural performances, natural beauty.
Our accomodations were beautiful. The Wanderlust team was very responsive when issues came up, as with the sandboarding. We never felt like we were on our own, which was a relief to us since we didn't speak the language(s).

Our visit to Fes was great, as was our tour guide. We learned so much about the history and handicraft of Morocco. I think I enjoyed Fes more than Marrakech. I did not know a person could be allergic to the Sahara until we got there. So much dust. But the dunes are beautiful, the camp we stayed at was lovely, and the guides were so friendly. We got lucky to have one clear night where we could see all the stars. It was amazing to visit the market, tour the oasis, and eat Berber pizza. May is very hot in the desert, so I'm glad we went before summer.

There was so much to this trip, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. The Roman ruins were neat. We went on a hike with a fun guide near Gorges Dades, and that was beautiful. We saw Ait Ben Haddou, which is still impressive despite the earthquake damage. We toured the Majorelle Gardens. We saw exciting new construction neighborhoods and gorgeous old historical neighborhoods. We drank strong coffee and refreshing mint tea. We managed to eat our way through many delicious dishes: tagine, tanjia, pastilla, tride.

We're thankful to this tour and our wonderful guides for making sure we had a great time in Morocco.

I always wanted to go to the Sahara desert in Morocco. My big birthday was coming up and so we decided to use the school half term to go on our trip and celebrate my birthday. We didn’t know where to start and a friend recommended we try KimKim.

I contacted KimKim and was allocated Majid as our main contact and a person who would help us plan our trip to Morocco. Majid was absolutely amazing. Within 24 hours he sent us a proposed itinerary which was very close to what we were looking for. We took a week or two to finalise the dates and make one or two tweaks to tailor the itinerary to our kids’ (ages 14, 12 and 7) energy levels. Majid was very helpful, willing to change the dates for us, make further suggestions and when the hotel he initially suggested wasn’t available, he found an even better one. He was always available to help, answer our questions, give us tips prior to departure and continued to be available to us throughout the trip, if we had any questions.

Once we arrived in Morocco, we were greeted by Mouad who came to pick us up from he airport and he was all smiles from day one. He took us to the hotel and was our main driver and guide through the trip. He was super knowledgeable, had a can do attitude, was always polite and friendly with the kids. He always checked in on how we were doing and worked with our energy levels. He made sure that our trip was special from the start to the end. He took us to Sahara desert where he was from and helped us to organise extra activities like 4 wheel drive, quad biking, sand boarding and a visit to Nomad tribe. My husband gave him an impossible task to find a gluten free birthday cake in the middle of Sahara desert and he did it! I had a magical birthday celebration at the Sahara camp and I could not have asked for anything more.

Morocco was absolutely amazing, the kids didn’t know what to expect but for everyone this ended up being one of the top vacations we have ever been on. There are still many places left to explore so helpfully one day we will be back. I would definitely recommend KimKim and especially Majid and Mouad to anyone that is considering going to Morocco. You will be in great hands.

Our trip to Morocco was truly spectacular and far exceeded are already high hopes of being an epic family adventure (two parents and two boys ages 9 and 6). We typically hate trip planning and KimKim made it fun! I am actually excited to "plan" our next trip with KimKim....because, well...we don't actually have to plan it! The entire process leading up to the trip was wonderful, organized, and very well thought-out. I truly cannot imagine planning another international family adventure without KimKim's help!

Once the trip began we were taken care of by OriginalTravels (the travel agency KimKim worked with in Morocco). Even though I had planned and helped setup the trip, I was very excited to learn that we had a guide/driver (Tarik) to help us at every moment of our adventure. Tarik made the trip truly wonderful...he was energetic, knowledgable, fun and thoughtful. Plus, Tarik's driving skills are unmatched! We were in such safe hands. Also, because Tarik helped us with everything (e.g. calling ahead to the hotels to make sure someone was there to greet us, answering questions, finding bathrooms along the route, etc) my husband and I got to enjoy our family and the experience, rather than stressing about navigation, or where to find kid-friendly food, etc.

As for the actual trip, it was 14 days of wonderful and I will not list everything here. However, one of the most memorable experiences (and the one place I wish we had stayed longer) was Marrakech, specifically, the night market. It was fascinating, and since we had a guide to show us around (Hanan) there was no stress wondering if we were "doing things right". The whole family loved it!

This trip was actually 6 hours, so I don't know why KimKim says 4.5 hours. Also, this is the one issue I had with the entire itinerary - driving 6 hours on the day of our flights was not a great setup for a family with two young kids. I didn't realize this at the time, but in retrospect, we should have made sure to arrive in Casablanca the day before and I wish KimKim had suggested it.

The description made it sound like our kids would get to make pottery from start to finish. So, when we just went to see how the experts made pottery there were a lot of tears. In the future, KimKim needs to do a better job at explaining that this is really just a shopping/learning experience, not a pottery making experience.

A Family's Guided tour of Fez

Our tour guide was not my favorite (Asdean). He was very nice, but when we told him we didn't want to do certain things, he kept pushing back and ignored it. This made the tour immediately start off on the wrong foot. Also, I had not been prepared for the pressure to purchase items. Asdean took us places (like a rug seller's store) and then had us sit there and look at rugs even though we had no intention to purchase anything.

Our guide Hanan was AMAZING! We loved her. We got to have her as our guide around the market in the morning, and as our food guide in the evening. She went with the flow with our kids, showed us the highlights, and answered all of our questions. She was just spectacular (she and Tarik as our guide/driver made the "dream team"!). I wish our kids hadn't worn out so early, or I could have walked around with Hanan all day!

The family was lovely, so I don't want this review to take away at all from them. However, KimKim made it sound like our family would be eating and spending time with another family (and we were told that they had two young kids around the same ages as ours). However, what we actually got was a family with a 19 yro, and we were really "served" food by the family, not really chatting or spending much time together. To be honest, this felt pretty weird being served by a Moroccan family...we had really wanted to spend time with them instead. The food though was delicious!

We had an 8 day trip planned for Morocco. Our tour specialist worked with us on customization which is easily the best feature on here (good expectation for a premium service). My preference is typically to book as much myself (for example hotels). We also had days where we did not need a driver or guide. So they worked with us on rest of the details. Our guide and driver Samir was great in coordinating daily activities, logistics of driving, and making us comfortable every day. Great experience. Highly recommend the service if you are looking to customize your trip planning process.
