Our trip was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for your thoughtful itinerary- the hotels, transport, food suggestions were fabulous and the addition of the sunset cruise with Captain Guillermo and guitarist Alvaro was perfect! Every excursion was fabulous! The Biking tour of Barcelona with Corentin hit all of the historical marks and taught us about culture, art and architecture while we pedaled and got the lay of the land! Touring and hiking in Montserrat with Ramon and being able to customize our experience to our family was amazing- He is an expert on the history, lore and the hiking area- we escaped the crowds and got some amazing views! Costa Brava is gorgeous and our adventure with Stepan, despite the cloudy and slightly rough day at sea- was great! Every detail of our kayak, snorkel, swim, walk-was planned out and executed perfectly. Without exception- lovely people, great communicators, professional and fun and ready to adapt to our wishes and needs. Can't say enough great things!

We all enjoyed the flamenco- it seemed the crowd was quite reserved and didn't know if they should cheer or watch quietly or get up and participate. Since the large majority re: ALL of the patrons are tourists- maybe an introduction that talks about the history and the crowds expected response would enhance the experience. We had tapas at the expat next door and would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in Spain with much owed to Patricia. Because of Covid it was a trip a long time in its planning but she was patient and always helpful and thanks to all her efforts to make it as seamless as possible, everything worked out very well. We could not recommend Patricia highly enough. From the moment we arrived off a cruise ship in Barcelona everything was as planned - drivers there when they were meant to be, likewise guides and without exception, all were very good - informative and friendly.
The hotels selected were all in good central locations so we had ready access to all the sights in the various cities we visited.
By way of suggestions for improvement - we loved the hotels with a rooftop pool or bar - not always possible we know but much appreciated when available. The rooftop bar and pool at the Hotel Catalonia in Ronda was outstanding.
It would also be helpful to have some bar and restaurant suggestions. That said, the hotels were usually very good with their ideas.

Our entire trip of Spain was organized, planned, and executed perfectly. Beatrice was phenomenal from the very start. We enjoyed all of our stays in Malaga, Nerja, Grenada, and Madrid. The hotels were luxurious, centrally located, and staffed with wonderful people. Each and every excursion, we met amazing, knowledgeable guides, who were friendly and passionate about their towns, and country. From Alejandro and Alphonso in Malaga, to Marta, Nacho, Manuel and Jose in Grenada to Alphonso in Madrid, we enjoyed spending our time with them, and learning the culture of each and every place we visited. Throughout our entire journey every pick up was on time, every excursion was exceptional, and anytime we needed to contact someone it was very easy to do. This is our second time as a family we have used Kimkim, and I will absolutely use them in the future as well.

Raquel our agent with KimKim from a local agency in Spain was amazing. Great communicator, prompt and helpful. Also was able to talk person to person on the phone. This was first class trip. They planned amazing outings with great guides. Top notch. Yes, i have planned many trips on my own, and wanted to plan this one, but we had limited time. KimKim saved us a bunch of time , and did a much better job than i could have. Specifically with finding top notch local guides that were knowledgeable and friendly.

Our local bike ride was great. Our tour of Monserrat was a highlight, out guide Ramone was fantastic and skilled climber that obviously was beyond our skill level.
Kayaking with Stepan near Costa Brava took care of us , and was very patient.
Also we super enjoyed our Tapa Tour with Jeanne. We enjoyed meeting a few other travelers and were happy it was not a fully private tour with our Family. Tapas are meant to be shared.

Again, Raquel was always available and responsive both before and during our trip.
Price was expensive, but worth it, and accommodations and everything 5 star. What we spent on KimKim we saved in planning time and getting work shifts done prior to departure , so kind of of evens out on a dollar basis.

But lastly, the trip was efficient as far as we covered a lot of ground with little hassle or delay, and was great to be a "passenger" as a parent, b/c often the planning / blame falls on us. It was Truly enjoyable.

All the guides were amazing! Not only where they very knowledgeable, they interacted with you like a friend would. The hardest thing in planning the trip was to decide what to do out of all the ideas that alba and Stefy gave me. Communication with them was on point. I had a question or concern, and I got an answer within a day. Rarely two. Once I got to Spain, they provided me with their phone number in case there were any problems. They also sent the numbers of the drivers and their information as the day to the tours approached. (I’m including in this the information for the guides as well). To me it was worth every penny not to have the headache of having to foresee problems or complications. The culture and the food there were also amazing and whenever I needed a recommendation for anything, Stefy and Alba where at a text or phone call away. Overall experience, awesome!

Our two guides, Francesca and Elena? were wonderful. Knowledgeable, friendly, easy to be around.
The hotels were exactly what we were looking for on this trip.
The bike tour was great. The ebikes themselves had operation issues, but we managed.
The olive oil tasting stop was a highlight.
Casamar is a must go restaurant for anyone in that region. Reasonably priced and incredible experience.
The boat ride was less than awesome. I should have taken your recommendation to hire a small boat guide directly from the beach. The large boat was unable to approach the shore and even though it was a sailboat, we just used the smelly diesel engine the whole time. This is the only part of the whole experience that we would not repeat - and I can only blame myself. You warned me that sailing trips in this area are not really a thing and I forced the issue. Jessica, the captain of the boat was great, but the boat ride experience itself - not so much.
The drivers from and to the airport were great. They were on-time, professional, friendly.
You had suggested we spend a night or two in wine and olive country. I declined to include that in the itinerary because we do not really drink wine, but the bike tour through the ancient cities was one of the best parts for Lynn. When we come back we will want to spend more time in these villages, maybe more biking and exploring?
Kayaking was cool. Javi, our guide, was a seasoned professional from the Basque country. Made us want to explore that area. We landed on a secluded beach and did some snorkeling. That was also a highlight.
Hiking the Cami de Ronda was great. Met a group of Americans from our home town!!
My favorite part of the entire trip was swimming at the Platja de Ros. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. I would like to maybe go back with a larger family group and explore the beaches on that whole peninsula.

Many people told us that we were lucky to be there so early in June because after June 23rd, the whole area is very crowded. In fact, this last week, there were already many school groups in Llafranc and Calella. They occupied much of the beach. If we go back to these places, it would be good to keep that in mind.

Adam helped me put together this trip at late notice. He did a stellar job! Barcelona was great and Tossa de Mar at the Costa Brava was even better, with the Kayaking & snorkeling experience as the highlight. Can't wait for the next trip.

Hotel Diana is a true gem with character. The location is perfect, a couple of steps from the beach (just across the street which has mostly pedestrians) with a view of the Mediterranean. Staff is super friendly and happily shared recommedations for tapas bars, which were very in point (esp bar La Lluna!). My room was big with a partial ocean view. The building structure is European, ie not very sound proof and the furniture isn't the newest, but it didn't bother me since the character and style more than compensated for this. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers who value comfort and authenticity.

Room was well appointed, and overall nice, but cleanliness could use some attention. Nothing too bad, but bathroom could use a deep clean.

Kayaking & Snorkeling in Platja d’ Aro, Costa Brava

Really cool kayaking experience from Tossa de Mar. The coastline is rugged, with lots of rocks sticking out out of the Mediterranean, caves and bays. Mattias, the guide and instructor, was a true professional, guiding us through choppy waters on the way back as the wind has picked up. He was very communicative and pointed out different rock features and led us to nice snorkeling bay with a cool cliff jump (about 15 meters high, fun and slightly scary!).

I can't say enough about Helena. She was very considerate of what we wanted to do and see during out time in Portugal and Spain and understood the type of travelers that we were - her recommendations were spot on. The Cascade Wellness Resort and Spa in Lagos Portugal was a great recommendation and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. In Cordoba, our guide Patricia was engaging, knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful tour of her city. Similarly, our hiking Guide Jaime was fantastic as he led us on a rigorous hike from village to village in the mountains outside of Grenada - we enjoyed our lunch with him and the kids really liked talking with him about endurance running! I wish I could give Helena a hug in person, she really made this trip a perfect one for our family.

Alphonso was responsive, well informed and easy to work with. While in Spain, we had confidence that he or someone in the shop would respond in a timely way to our many questions. It took a lot of pressure off our backs. We had a great trip, which he helped us plan, including visiting several different regions. We relied a great deal on his judgment. Sasha in Girona, Juan in San Sebastian, and Susanna in Bilbao were all terrific -- extremely knowledgeable and fun. We had never used a travel agent before, but will certainly come back to KimKim.

Marina helped us a lot! She had great suggestions, made adjustments when required and communicated everything on time. Our trip was amazing and different from others. I want to Thank Bea for creating a wonderful trip for us. She was such a pleasure to work with. The App they asked us to download turned out to be a very helpful tool used by most of us. Our pickups and connections worked smoothly and everything went without a hitch. I want to thank her for her hard work and providing us a great trip with wonderful lodgings. We loved most of the guides and were happy with all of the arrangements, pickups and things we saw in did. While we enjoyed all of the guides except one, some of them stood out and I would like to point those out and why we thought they were great.
17- first tour was the tapas tour -- that was so lovely -- there was food for every taste, and all of the locations were amazing. we couldn't believe the how much we learned and the presentation. Even the vegetarian, Pescatarian and children were happy. We were educated on Tapas and Cava and Vermouth -- which up to that point, we had never experienced. It flavored our entire vacation to try these things wherever we went and to have the confidence to eat off a Tapas menu throughout our visit. Our guide was Carla and we want to give her 5***** for guiding us through this experience and choosing such wonderful and varied things. It was a great start to our trip. We felt very pampered.
18 - Our trip to Monjuic was wonderful and we loved our guide Eduardo. It was our first castle of the trip and the entire experience was fun and we liked the 1/2 day . We also liked the adventure of taking the gondola to the top of Montjuic. We don't remember visiting the Olympic Barcelona, but perhaps we spent too much time in the castle. We were also a bit late arriving at our meeting point due to the train being unavailable for us.
19-- we were happy with Dani and the trip to see la Familia Sagrada and casa Mila. he was an excellent guide for us because he told us things then allowed us to explore at our own speed. He would always seem to be available when we had questions, but gave us the opportunity to see what we wanted. He was especially knowledgeable about the Family Sagrada. He had worked there at one time and the information he shared of the stages of development went back 30 years. I would also give him 5*.****
From a planning perspective, I felt that we didn't see quite enough Gaudi on this tour -- that was the only reason I came to Barcelona. I felt cheated that this was my only day to see his work. Park Guell was good and I loved it, but still missed out on so many other locations. That was probably my fault. I saw the itinerary and should have asked for more. All of our family loved Gaudi, even the children.
20 --Tossa de Mar -- we can't say enough about how much we liked this whole day and our guide Vicente. We all loved him and the tour. He gave us lots of info, was fun, good with the children and lots of personal time to explore. again 5*****.
21 -- Tarragona - we liked the town of Tarragona. Eduard was good, and very knowledgeable, but I think after Barcelona and Tossa de Mar, it paled in comparison .
21 -- Flamenco dancer -- we loved this, it was better than any of us expected. We could have easily watched for another half hour. Everyone, including the 4 year old was mesmerized. 5*****. the tapas afterwards were average bar food, I think we would have liked to go out on our own.

22 -- While we liked Cardona, we didn't care for our guide Ramon who didn't stick to the schedule that was proposed to us nor did he allow us any private time in the Castle part. He visited the Castle and the salt mine first, but we didn't get to go into the town, which sounded very interesting. We always enjoyed walking around old castle towns and seeing the Gothic and Romanesque buildings, however, we went to the castle and then the Salt mine first, and when asked about the town, he said it wasn't worth seeing Cardona because it was now closed. The KimKim schedule had us going to the town first, which is what every single one of the other guides had done. We now see the reason. He then tried to convince us to go to Montserrat, which was scheduled for a half day two days later. He said that is what he always did -- he confessed he didn't look at our itinerary. We cut the day short because we were really quite tired of this guide. He wasn't good with the children, in fact they chose to stay home the following day. We felt he was boring and repetitive and while he knew a lot, we had to hear everything a lot. We didn't enjoy our visits, but the salt mine was cool and we got to do it self guided. We couldn't give Ramon more than a 2** for his lack of following the schedule and annoying manner.
23 There were only 5 of us on this trip (as the family with children decided to stay home from the experience the day before), but those of us who wend enjoyed the visit to Girona. The guide Dulce, contacted me well in advance to find out more about us. That was the first guide to do that. We mentioned that in Girona we wanted to see the Game of Thrones sites, and she studied up on it so she knew where they were. I liked what she had to say. we also liked the Dali Museum and seeing the house. The only downside of this day was how crowded the Dali house was and the long drive. Afterwards she sent us some pictures she had taken of us. I would say Girona was one of the highlights of the trip.
24 Montserrat -- we had Jordi for this tour and we all liked him very much -- he was our kind of guide-- informative, and adventurous, he had a friend who stayed behind with my daughter who didn't feel she could walk back from the summit and was conscientious about where we were at all time. We love this type of guide. It was a great trip. 5***** for him and this was a great and spiritual part of the trip as we got a chance to light a candle for my Son-in-law's mother who died a week after their return to the USA. It was a special moment and we would like to thank the guide for giving us the private time to do this.
25 It was fun for everyone to take the fast train to Lleida. None of us had ever been on one. We liked very much having the seats that faced each other with the table in the middle -- thanks for arranging that. We played cards with the children . It all went very smoothly and the Parador Hotel Lleida was amazing. we all loved the rooms, the service the breakfast and the location. Thanks for arranging it for us. We also enjoyed the guide Jaume and the visit to La Seu Vella, the Gothic-Romanesque cathedral. we went back several times during our Llieda visit to look around some more and appreciate his introduction to the city.
26 -27 Now we come to our favorite guide of all. It is a castle that has always been lived in by Nobility and they have kept the castle in good condition. There was so much to see we really felt we were seeing something special and the guide Jaume was humorous and pulled all of in to the history of the Castle, which even had a dungeon with chains.
28 We thought Zaragoza was a beautiful city and enjoyed our visit, but would have liked to have more time there! A Day Excursion by Train Exploring Historic Zaragoza

Zaragoza was a beautiful city and we enjoyed our short visit, but would have liked to have more time there! Our Guide, Leyre, was excellent and we liked visiting both the old town, the Cathedral de Pilar and the palace de Aljaferia. The guide directed us to restaurants in the TUBE where we found a great restaurant to eat, with enough time remaining to make it to the Palace in time for our tour with her. We enjoyed the day and the train ride was again very pleasurable.

It is a castle that has always been lived in by Nobility and they have kept the castle in good condition. There was so much to see we really felt we were seeing something special and the Host guide Jaume was humorous and pulled all of in to the history of Castle Montsonis , which even had a dungeon with chains. On the 2nd day with Miguel, we had our most picturesque day. Went into the edge of Pyrenees mountains following the river where there were many Castles on the mountain tops. Everywhere you looked there were old castle towns or lookout towers and Hermitages. We felt like we stepped back into history. I took way too many pictures, it was so beautiful and we loved feeling we were part of history, in addition we got to see what we all labeled as Rapunzel's tower and even got to climb to the top on a very narrow winding stairway. It was fun even those too nervous to climb.

25 It was fun for everyone to take the fast train to Lleida. None of us had ever been on one. We all loved Gaudi -- we were happy with Dani and the trip to see la Familia Sagrada and Casa Mila. Dani was an excellent guide for us because he told us things then allowed us to explore at our own speed. He would always seem to be available when we had questions, but gave us the opportunity to see what we wanted. He was especially knowledgeable about the Family Sagrada. He had worked there at one time and the information he shared of the stages of development went back 30 years. The only downside was that the day was too short and I didn't see enough Gaudi! The visit to the park Guell was self guided, but I think we could have used some more guidance. We separated and found we all saw different things.

Private Old Town, Montjuïc Hill & Castle Visit

Our trip to Monjuic was wonderful and we loved our guide Eduardo. It was our first castle of the trip and the entire experience was fun and we liked the 1/2 day . We also liked the adventure of taking the gondola to the top of Montjuic. We don't remember visiting the Olympic Barcelona, but perhaps we spent too much time in the castle. We were also a bit late arriving at our meeting point due to the train being unavailable for us.

Our first tour was the tapas tour -- It was so lovely -- there was food for every taste, and all of the locations were amazing. we couldn't believe the how much we learned and the presentation. Even the vegetarian, Pescatarian and children were happy. We were educated on Tapas and Cava and Vermouth -- which up to that point, we had never experienced. It flavored our entire vacation to try these things wherever we went and to have the confidence to eat off a Tapas menu throughout our visit. Our guide was Carla and we want to give her 5***** for guiding us through this experience and choosing such wonderful and varied things. It was a great start to our trip. We felt very pampered.

Mario was our tour guide for Toledo. He is charismatic, engaging and enthusiastic about Toledo. He took great care of us. All of the tour guides were great!
The hotels that were arranged were very good as well. Or favorite was the Hotel de Juderias in Seville. It was beautiful. I will use Kim Kim again.

Anita was excellent to work with and very responsive whenever we needed her. Slight delay in days when she was off, but within a short time another team member got back to us.

We had an amazing trip to Spain and the team helped us ensure it was unforgettable. Highlights included the Taylor Swift concert in Madrid, a cooking class in Seville, and the Hammam baths in Grenada. Overall, we had an incredible time touring with the local guides, with special shoutouts to Juan and Gabriella for giving us authentic local experiences and recommendations.

Overall, the trip was great and we enjoyed all of the activities. Bea did a great job finding great experiences. All of the experiences were unique and interesting and a great mix of city sights and drives in the countryside.

The hotels were very good except the last one in Barcelona. While it was fine, it was not the excellent experience we had in the other hotels. For one thing, one of the two elevators was broken the entire time we were there.

I was a bit Leary at first as it was out of my hands . I usually have control to do all my trips. But I was greatly surprised!!! The hotels the times of train and planes were all wonderful. They did a great wonderful job. The excursions etc etc were all detailed to the very best. It’s nice to know that I found a great company to take over on the bigger trips and I know and will be at peace that they will get it done to the very best of my dream trips. They were always there on contact when needed. So happy to have found such a detailed company. Thanks again and I look forward to having you do my next trip again.

Anita was so helpful from the beginning of planning my trip until the very last day that we were on vacation. She responded quickly with kind and patient information when I didn’t understand some of the processes. She was also so kind when I was the one making mistakes with times and reservations for things. Always gave me options that helped fix any mistake that I had made. We could not have had this fabulous vacation without her.
