Luis, of Hidden in Spain, customized for us the exact travel experience we wanted and needed: excellent hotels in perfect locations, great travel arrangements between cities, and private local guides who were knowledgeable and inspiring. A few of the many highlights include the glorious La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the Great Mosque in Cordoba, the Alhambra in Granada, and the Prada Museum in Madrid. Luis checked on us frequently to make sure things were going well through out our 2 week trip. We love KimKim. We love Hidden in Spain!!

Our trip to Spain was a family trip of a lifetime thanks to KimKim! Yuri, our travel specialist was phenomenal. We found his knowledge to be invaluable in helping us design an itinerary tailored specifically for us. He listened to what we desired for our trip and suggested a myriad of activities for us to consider to choose from. We appreciated his insights, responsiveness and attention to detail. The pacing of our trip and private tours/guides were all exceptional. Even the chauffeurs KimKim vetted were delightfully engaging. Knowing our transportation, hotel accommodations, and tours were scheduled, allowed us to relax and enjoy immersing ourselves in the beauty of Spain, the culture and people.

Highlights: The private tour of the Prado Museum in Madrid with our art historian enlightened us to the great masters of Spanish and European art. Tapas tours introduced us to the delicious food and cultures of Spain sprinkled with personal anecdotes from guides who loved and embraced their country. Toledo, the old capital of Spain offered a rich history lesson merging 3 cultures and unforgettable marzipan sweets as well. In Barcelona after an informative Gaudi walk, our tour guide led us into the La Sagrada Familia, wisely allowing us to "take in the moment" without saying a word. The day trip up Costa Brava, the scenic stretch of Catalan coastline included a 5 mile hike at Tossa de Mar filled with stunning vistas and a storied past.

We enjoyed this activity, particularly the blind wine tasting! It was a very cool experience we were given two red wines, and we blindly had to guess their flavors and what kind of wine they were. Our guide was very knowledgeable! The history tour was great as well, being from the U.S. it was really cool to hear about the history of these old buildings.

I found Kimkim after a few google searches for ideas of where to go and what to do on our first trip to Spain. This was our first time using Kimkim and we all agreed we will use it again for future trips. Kimkim is easy to use and makes everything very convenient. Our trip specialist was the incredible Yuri. Having someone to reach out to for help during the trip gave us all so much peace of mind. The reservations are made with enough time for you to do a review and make any desired or necessary changes (something we had to do when our flight times changed unexpectedly). As I mentioned, Yuri was incredible! He was always available, especially when we were on the trip and had to reach out unexpectedly. Yuri was very receptive to questions and concerns and helped adjust our trip details until everything was perfect for us. As the end of our trip approached we kept commenting to each other how everything was truly perfect with our itinerary. We loved the activities we ended up choosing and having the scheduled drivers to help us get around from the airport/train stations to our hotels was so helpful and convenient. We all agreed that we would not have changed anything about the final itinerary we planned, everything was great. The process for selecting activities was easy and inclusive. There were a lot of activities we could select that catered to everyone’s travel wishes and exploration comfort levels. The hotels were great as well. In Barcelona we stayed at one of the Hotel Granvia locations and were blown away with how beautiful it was and the service we received. Staff was amazing and made us all feel very welcomed. We also loved the location of our second accommodation in Valencia (Mon Suites Catedral). We left Spain already making plans to return and also making plans to visit other places we've never been to and would love to use Kimkim to help us plan the perfect itinerary once more. What a gem of a find this hotel was! It was absolutely beautiful, in an incredible location (easy to walk everywhere), and had the most amazing staff I've had the pleasure of interacting with at a hotel. From the moment we arrived to check in we were greeting by such lovely staff who immediately made us feel welcomed, not only to the hotel but the city as well. We received a lot of recommendations of places to visit and eat and also given a map with the hotel's location, which made it easy for us to get an idea of where everything we wanted to see and do was located. This hotel was so beautiful and very clean. We fell in love with its aesthetics and the interior architectural design. We loved how safe we felt there as not everyone could access the floors to the rooms unless they passed the front desk and had a room key to use the elevator. The location was also perfect. It was close to a lot of stores, restaurants, and within walking distance of many of the touristic sites people visiting would want access to. There was also the convenience of a metro station right on the block! Very wonderful experience and someplace we would love to stay at again whenever we revisit Barcelona.

We loved this experience! The winery tour was really informational and beautiful. We left with so much new knowledge for wine tasting and pairing. We had a wonderful guide and an incredibly fun group. The sailing trip was such an enjoyable way to end the experience. I would definitely do this again and recommended it to a couple we met later in our Spain trip who were on their way to Barcelona (they ended up doing it and loving it as well!).

This was a wonderful experience and the best way to end our stay at Valencia. We had such an incredible time. Our guide, Dani, had a lot of insight on the city and gave us recommendations we will be using for our next trip back—because we fell in love with Valencia and will definitely be booking a future visit. The group we had was also very wonderful and helped add to the experience for us. The buildings for the City of Arts and Sciences were beautiful and the rooftop views were breathtaking. The sunset was incredible that day and there were even surprise fireworks! White and red wines and a 10 course tapas were served and everything was very good. We enjoyed this experience so much and would definitely recommend anyone visiting Valencia to partake in it.

Yuri was amazing and we are very lucky we had him as our guide! We took our first big international trip with our 1 year old in April. We told Yuri the things we liked to do and he created an entire itinerary for us in Lisbon, Portugal and Barcelona, Spain that was both fun and baby friendly. Our accommodations had a crib and ride transfers had car seats so we didn’t even have to pack that with us. He was very responsive and helpful with the million questions I asked and I would recommend him over and over. Thanks again for all your help Yuri!

I am 73 and decided to travel to Spain on my own. I had specific plans and wanted some built-in assurances since I had not travelled for a few years. After spending extensive time on the internet I found Kimkim and was put in touch with Patricia in Barcelona. She was so helpful with ideas about how to make the most of my time there and worked around my specific requests that fit with my already partially self-planned trip. Everything went perfectly. I was provided with all the necessary vouchers/ tickets beforehand. The driver/ guides were punctual and very helpful. Tour guides were all excellent and they really managed to bring the history of a site to life for me. Patricia was in touch with me every step of the way.

Blanca, my guide in Granada was amazing. I enjoyed my time with Flavio on my tour of his winery. Carmen gave me a great tour of the Seville cathedral, Giraldi tower and Santa Cruz. Driver and guide Alexis, very kind and informative took me to my olive oil mill tour which was sooo interesting and another day to Córdova where I enjoyed a wonderful guided tour of the mosque/cathedral which was amazing. In Barcelona my guided Gaudi tour was amazing and the guide , Laura so enthusiastic. All my guides were superb and I thank them. Each hotel was top notch and I thank Patricia for that.

Marta helped us plan out a family trip to Barcelona and Madrid with a few day trips. She was helpful and patient with us prior to the trip. And we received a detailed plan through their app before we arrived with all the tickets/vouchers and info we would need. We packed a lot into the 9 day itinerary, and it all went very smoothly. It was nice to sit back and enjoy the trip while all the guides and drivers were all where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there! And any questions that came up were promptly answered by Marta and her coworkers. All the guides were great.
We weren't sure how the mosaic activity would go over with the kids on the day we arrived in Barcelona (on a red eye). But it turned out to be a relaxing activity that we all enjoyed, and we got some nice souvenirs to boot.
Also, not all of us were thrilled about the hike in the mountains on the way to Segovia, but it turned out to be a highlight of the trip for all.....it was very beautiful.

The area is beautiful. We had a nice hike, a little walk through a coastal town, a boat ride, and then a nice meal on the coast. Vincente and Joaquin were well orchestrated getting us around. It was Easter Sunday, so it was a pretty crowded the day we went.

Toledo was beautiful. We had great weather and it wasn't too busy, so that helped. Our guide Natalia picked us up at the train station and took us for a nice walking tour through the city starting with a nice view from outside the old city. Included some stops for local treats.

Gabrielle was our driver for the day. He was great and kept everything flowing. We were picked up in Madrid and taken to the mountains for a hike with Hugo. We had a nice hike along a mountain river which was highlight for the entire trip. Then on to Segovia for a nice suckling pig lunch and then a city tour with Maria. The ancient aqueduct is pretty cool.

All parts of our kimkim experience were amazing. Logistics regarding booking transfers and guides all done for our family with ease.

Highlight of our trip was definitely the private guide touring Barcelona. Our guide and driver were both friendly and experienced. They made us feel welcome in their country and city.

Our lunch with a local was a great way to walk around and learn about the area and culture. It is a good tour of 3 different restaurants and was delicious. I would definitely say this is an adult experience as our kids lost interest after the first restaurant.

Having Raquel plan our trip for our family of five took the stress out of it and made the trip so much more enjoyable. She gave us several itineraries to choose from and balanced self guided and guided tours very well. We especially enjoyed our guide, Danny, in Barcelona. Barcelona was the highlight of our trip. The tapas welcome was also perfect for our arrival and welcome to Spain. I would definitely book another trip through Kim Kim and recommend it to others.

My sister and I decided we wanted to take a trip to Spain together, however neither of us had the time to plan all of the details. This is where kimkim came in. The travel quiz goes over things such as budget, what your travel style is, what kinds of activities you enjoy, etc. You are able to customize how much planning kimkim does for you. We decided it would be most helpful for us to have our hotels and transportation booked, but that we would like to book our own activities. Then we were connected with our local specialist, Yuri. Kimkim had a curated list of trusted hotels in each city we planned to visit, and we were able to go through and select the ones we liked. Yuri was even able to upgrade us to a nicer hotel for the same price for one of our stays! All of the hotels were excellent. One of the highlights of our trip was a free walking tour Yuri set up for us in Madrid. The guide took us on a custom tour of the city based on our interests and what we had seen so far; his knowledge of Madrid and it's history was remarkable. Unfortunately, a few days into our trip, I left my phone in the car that transferred us to the train station. This is where Yuri really became MVP. He was able to contact the company, and they were able to find my phone and mail it to me at our final destination!! He went way above and beyond, and was so kind and helpful when this happened. Overall, we had an amazing trip to Spain. Kimkim and Yuri made the planning process and the trip itself smooth and seamless. Yuri was invaluable, and we cannot thank him enough for all of his help!!

Our walking tour of Madrid was one of the highlights of our trip!! Our guide, Enrique, did an outstanding job of showing us around the city. He came up with a custom tour on the spot based on our interests, and what we had already seen in Madrid; it completely exceeded our expectations. He even took us up to a rooftop spot for a drink with a beautiful view of Madrid. It made the tour even more memorable and special. After our tour, Enrique gave us a list of bars and restaurants to visit, and even told us what he recommended ordering at each spot. So not only did we get a custom walking tour, but we also got a custom tapas tour!

I was very overwhelmed when I first started to plan our family trip to Spain. Turning to KimKim helped me to organize what I wanted to do and create the details I wanted with the assistance I needed. We did this tour on our first full day in Spain and it was a perfect start to our trip. Our tour guide was Tati and she was amazing. She told us so many great stories about the legends of Barcelona and their traditions. She was great with my kids and had fun activities for them and great visuals for them to better understand the history. We were smiling and laughing the whole time, while learning so much about the gothic area and Catalan as a whole. Tati set the standards high for the rest of our trip and we kept referring back to her and how great she was.

Wonderful trip Spain and Portugal! All aspects were extremely well organized, planned and executed. All guides, drivers, hotels and all aspects of travel were excellent. Not one detail was lacking. I am usually extremely picky about hotels and look for great deals. They did both! I don’t think I have ever stayed in such unique and accommodating hotels that were of such good class. They talk with you on the phone to make sure that your personal interests ans well ans unique needs are included in your tour. Just wonderful.

Marina planned an excellent trip to Spain that was truly off the beaten path! For all of our excursions, we had local guides who were personable, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily helpful for any questions we had or recommendations for places to eat. We greatly enjoyed our bike tour of Barcelona that hit many of the famous Gaudi houses, our small group tour of Montserrat accompanied by a wine tour, our private tour of La Sagrada Familia, our cooking class where we made paella, and multiple private walking tours that got us quickly acclimated to each city we visited! Marina was always available for any questions we had and offered additional recommendations for places to go and eat.

Our family trip to Spain was absolutely fantastic! The entire process with Marta (and KimKim) from start to finish could not have been better! Everything was planned meticulously, and Marta was always promptly available with guidance, expertise, and assistance. The drivers were always on time and professional. The hotels were all luxurious and right in the middle of all the action in each city. The Flamenco Show was so quaint and intimate, it felt like we were at a private performance. And beyond a doubt the guides and local experiences really made the whole country come alive! Boris made the tapas crawl so much fun. Miguel brought Barcelona alive with his wealth of knowledge. Manu made our trip to the coast an absolute blast. Jorge showed us the history of Madrid’s streets. Elena braved the weather in Segovia to show us all the ancient nooks and crannies. Pablo transported us back in time with his vast knowledge of Seville’s past. And Geza pointed out all the things in the Royal Palace we would have missed without him! This trip truly exceeded all of our expectations. We are so thankful for all the effort that went into planning such a fantastic trip for our family. We look forward to picking out another destination and letting KimKim handle the rest!

Working with Carmen was great.

Hotel - was nice and 15-20 min walk to Las Ramblas. It was clean and breakfast was good. However 2 different locals said it was in a “sketchy part of town”. And while I felt safe walking around there were many homeless people outside the hotel and it wasn’t nice to look at. The hotel did not have air conditioning (or it was broken) and I asked for a fan several time but they did not have one. It was unseasonably warm. There was a slight mix up with City taxes that you prepaid as hotel did not see them being paid but Helena straightened it out.

Tapas Tour - Carla was the best! She even gave some recommendations for other things.

Girona/Costa Brava - I already gave you feedback on the tour guide. The places we visited were beautiful. No stores were open in Costa Brava.

Sailboat tour - this was nice. The Spanish guitarist was amazing. Waters were choppy as it was very windy. The crew gave us blankets and were very helpful

Drivers - waited about 10min on arrival. But no issues.

We had a wonderful time in Madrid. Irene was very efficient in organizing every detail and responded quickly to every question I had. Madrid is a beautiful city and easy to navigate. We also made a day trip to Toledo, which was an interesting historic city with a stunning cathedral but is also very touristy with lots of souvenir shops.

The hotel was in an excellent location right next to a metro stop. It is a beautiful historic building but the room was small and very plain. I expected a little more character. The restaurant downstairs served an excellent breakfast and we also stopped several times for a glass of wine.

The building was beautiful and historic but the room was small and plain. We had just a small open space around our bed for our luggage. The bathroom by comparison was quite roomy and the shower was excellent. I would have been willing to pay a bit more for a larger room.

Very clean but too small. By the time we reached Madrid we had been traveling nearly 3 weeks and would have liked to spread out a bit.

The food was very mediocre. I noticed that only two other Americans came for dinner; everyone else came just for the performance. The dancing was interesting and energetic but a very modern, extemporaneous style and we missed some of the more traditional, flamboyant aspects of the dance.

We wasted time taking a cab. It would have been much easier to get there by Metro but the address was unfamiliar. It would have been helpful if our itinerary had indicated the Metro stop closest to the venue

Walking tour in the World Heritage city of Toledo

Spain

Beautiful city and worth a visit but be prepared for lots of other tourists and souvenir shops everywhere you turn. Our guide was a wonderful Spanish lady who had lots of information to share but her English was heavily accented and we had to listen very closely to understand her, which got very wearing after 3 hrs.

Karenina organized a great 10 day tour around SW Spain. Of all the places I enjoyed Granada the most. Probably because the guide Marta put in the extra effort for the Tapas tour and the trip to the White Villages in the mountains.

It was the first time my driver had been to the Camino Del Ray, so it took a little time to find the entrance. The entrance was not obvious; but the driver was determined asking several of the local guides, and personally walked with me to ensure I got to the right place.
