We had a wonderful family trip to Spain thanks to KimKim! Adam and Summer did a great job booking tours to match our varied interests. Every one of our guides was knowledgeable and welcomed questions. We particularly enjoyed our tour guide Miguel in Seville and Nacho who took us on a private tapas tour in Madrid. All of the travel arrangements went smoothly - we flew home just two days before the major power outage for which we are very grateful. This was our third trip with KimKim and we look forward to more in the future.

This was the most amazing trip! Once in a lifetime experience! The planning and coordination or orchestrated perfectly! We spent 12 days in northern Spain and had several different guides and tours, and they all went off without a hitch! I was so surprised by the professionalism and knowledge of all of the guides and the attention to detail that they gave us was impeccable! It was definitely a five star experience that I would recommend to anyone in the future!

Hotel Cortezo

Hotel Cortezo in Madrid was probably my least favorite among the hotels we stayed at during the trip. Though the staff were excellent and breakfast was great, the hotel felt a bit dated, and the views were not impressive. However, being centrally located made it convenient, so it served its purpose.

The Eurostars Plaza Acueducto in Segovia was very nicely situated right in the heart of the city, which was great for exploring. The accommodations were pleasant, albeit not quite as impressive as some of the other hotels we stayed at, but still a nice place to stay in Segovia.

Palacio del Carmen in Santiago de Compostela stood out for its exceptional service. We happened to stay there during a country-wide blackout, and the hotel staff handled the situation exceptionally well, maintaining calm and offering great service despite the circumstances. The staff at breakfast were particularly wonderful, ensuring we had a great start to the day. Hector, in particular, was fabulous.

Barceló Oviedo Cervantes in Oviedo was my favorite hotel of the trip. The accommodations were wonderful, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide spread that I loved. The hotel provided such a nice atmosphere, contributing to an overall superb experience.

Excursion with Private Driver to Museo Indiano & Gijón

Guillermo was an amazing guide during our excursion to the Museo Indiano and Gijón. He was knowledgeable and made the tour personal and delightful. His passion for the culture and history shone through, and he went out of his way to show us a fantastic time. We got to see unique sites with special significance to us, and the experience was arguably the highlight of our entire trip. The lunch by the water with calamari and the tapas was an added bonus to the wonderful day. Definitely a top-notch experience!

If you’re thinking of planning a trip and want it to be smooth, personalized and unforgettable, use KimKim. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. From start to finish, everything was organized with such care and attention to detail.

Coraima was our main contact and she was incredible, responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making our trip special. Summer also helped ensure everything flowed seamlessly. They were both so easy to communicate with, and it really felt like they were just as excited about our trip as we were.

Some standout highlights:
• The wine tasting experience was a dream—two whites, two reds, and a port, paired with the most gorgeous charcuterie board. Such a perfect relaxing afternoon.
• Our Douro River/ocean sailing trip was out of this world. We couldn’t stop smiling—it was so romantic. The tour company went above & beyond with their amazing drinks they served along with a side snack.
• We had an amazing time in Barcelona,
Malaga, Madrid, Porto & Lisbon with every single tour guide KimKim arranged for us was top-notch: knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about what they do.

Everything was tailored to us. I’ll absolutely use KimKim again.

I found the KimKim team gave me the perfect combination of guidance and freedom while planning our trip to Spain. Hector gave us great suggestions, responded in a timely manner and was also able to pivot and rearrange cities and tours when we decided to fly out of Madrid instead of Seville. He responded to us immediately ( after hours) when we couldn’t find our tapas tour group. Pick up and drop offs were seamless. Over all we had a wonderful trip and felt very secure knowing Hector and KimKim were there for us if we needed them.

The rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful. We were here during the power outage when the grid in all of Spain went down. The gentleman who was running the restaurant ( Javio - spelling?) went above and beyond to not only to serve us a meal ( sandwich and salad because they did not need to be cooked) but found some board games at the front desk and let us play by candlelight until the power came back on.

The Hotel is right next to the historic Medieval town which we explored. This is the reason for visiting this place. The rooms are comfortable but since it is an old historic building I sense there are restrictions to how they can renovate. Having said that the bathrooms and HVAC are modern upgrades.

Our trip to Spain was well planned and Coraima was very patient as we worked through many details. Our guides were outstanding and our hotels centrally located. The KimKim app was incredibly helpful and it made a huge difference for this trip. The only hitch we had was with the apartment rental in Granada. I would not recommend an apartment and unsure why we were booked into an apartment and not a hotel.

We were put in an apartment with no information for check in or other logistics. Our driver could not drop us off close to the apartment. We had to walk a few blocks with our suitcases and once we found the door to the apartment, it was just that, a door. Through the KimKim app we quickly found the USense phone number to call, they walked us through and remotely helped us enter the apartment building. Our key was located in our unit! they also told us we would be charged an early check in fee. I thought that was odd, since KimKim knew we were arriving early and we had a tour at 2pm. The apartment was in a good location, but it wasn't necessary to have an apartment and unsure why an apartment was provided and not a hotel guestroom. The thermostat wouldn't work either.

Hector planned an amazing trip for us to Spain and Portugal. Our highlights of the trip included the tapas tour in Madrid, the private winery tour in the Douro valley, the private cooking class in Lisbon, and the sunset cruise in Lisbon. The itinerary flowed very well and it was so easy to be at the right place at the right time. The instructions were great. The accommodations were great, especially Hotel Urso in Madrid and the Quinta de Pacheca wine barrels in Douro Valley. Breakfast being included every morning was an extremely nice perk. Never had to think about that meal. Overall, shoutout to KimKim, Espiritu, and Hector. I would absolutely recommend to a friend.

The activities were surprising and personal. We really loved our hiking guides in Barcelona and San Sebastian. The private cooking class in a commercial kitchen in Rioja was also a treat. The routes we drove led us to beautiful vistas and hikes that we never would have found on our own and the restaurant recommendations made each stop a delicious breeze. The team was super helpful, responsive and supportive. It was honestly an amazing trip that we would recommend to someone in a heartbeat.

We loved the Flamenco show at Las Carboneras. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Wonderful trip - better than I could have done myself!

As a veteran family vacation planner, it's not easy for me to admit, but Alfonso did it better. Activities were well chosen, taking our interests fully into consideration, and guides were all exceptional. We made things more difficult at the end by our last minute planning, but Alfonso nevertheless managed to score tickets to the Alhambra, perfectly timed to catch our train from Granada to Madrid. Hotels were exactly as hoped, and impeccably located. All transitions were perfectly seamless, and when we needed a minor adjustment it was managed in minutes. We really appreciated the daily check-ins from Alfonso and Uhaina to make sure we were still on course. It certainly makes it easier to ask questions as well.

All in all a wonderful service; I would not hesitate to use it again.

Overall the trip went smoothly.
A couple hiccups. No time listed to meet guide in Cordoba. The guide María was nice enough but never had dialogue on our way to a site. We passed lots of opportunities for her to give a continuous chat on our way to the first stop. She was full of details when we arrived at the destination but we felt we missed more details on our way. She could easily improve on that.
The hotel in Cordoba, while convenient to the train, was NOT a 4 *. Absolutely no amenities whatsoever in the room. Nothing extra in the bathrooms either. I would rate it a 3.
Train tickets were perfect as were directions.

Excellent driver to Ronda. Nice wine tasting. The food was great, the wine Ok. The driver gave us details during the entire drive about the area. He was great.
Ronda was lovely. Also excellent tour Guide. We were given crappy rooms at the hotel
and asked for them to be changed. We paid an up charge, as the original rooms faced the parking lot not the spectacular views. We did not like the rooms at the place but the hotel was pretty. The staff was nice. We would have hoped that KimKim would have guaranteed us a better room. Driver to Malaga was on time and good.
We would recommend your company again but think that you should ask for clarification on some of the things we mentioned. For example: How important is the hotel to you?

Alfonso planned a great trip for us along the Costa Brava trail. The hotels between hikes were great. Transfers were like clock work. Restaurant recommendations spot on. Level of communication and availability while on the trail was just right. Would definitely use Alfonso and Kimkim again!

We were hesitant to let someone else plan our trip to Spain/Portugal, but Bea was amazing! She took what little info I gave her (not into wine tasting, love cooking classes, etc) and she absolutely gave us exactly what we wanted. The hotels were perfect (with the exception of Seville, the H10 Casa de la Plaza?) was not a good choice for us as we were unable to drive our rental car to the hotel and drop our many bags before parking...it took us over an hour to figure out the GPS wasn't accurate and we were not at our destination...the crowds, scooters, pedestrians were overwhelming for us senior citizens! Had we known we could not drive to the hotel and needed to just park and walk with all our bags over 10 minutes, we would have requested something easier. That was the only bad choice (just due to logistics's - the hotel was fine once we got there). The private drivers were amazing, the train travel was so easy and comfortable - thank you for arranging all that! Next time, we would not get a car, but have drivers and use the trains. It was so easy to have all our activities booked and paid for in advance...thank you for that as well!

We want to thank Bea, and the support team for helping us have the best trip to Spain we could have wanted...we will 100% use Bea and/or KimKim for any future travel...thank you again for making it so special!

Pretty view of the sea...the hotel experienced a power outage for hours one day and we were told no access to our rooms...we come to find out, there was access to our rooms the whole time. Staff was not well informed and rudely told us to just sit and wait.

We had a wonderful visit to Spain with thanks to our travel planner Alfonso through Kim Kim. Alfonso worked with us to develop an itinerary based on our desires to see new places in Madrid and Andalucia - we visited Madrid, Toledo, Córdoba, Ronda, and Granada. Alfonso organized great guides in each location for part of a day and we had ample free time to explore on our own, as well. We've normally done most trip research and planning on our own using a guide book for sights. Alfonso did all the leg work this time, finding really well-situated hotels and superb guides who were knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. I learned a ton and got so much more out of places like the Alhambra and Miskita in Cordoba, and the Plaza de Toros (without having to witness a bullfight) in Ronda!

Along the way, there were a few situations where we had questions, and either Alfonso or Uhaina responded so fully and quickly. Working with Alfonso and Kim Kim really added to the total experience - we had a wonderful trip.

All the local guides were amazing - excited to speak about their city and history.

The hotels were good choices as well.

We were not prepared for the congestion in parking in four cities and wonder if travelling by train or bus would have been a better option for us.

We had trouble getting taxis at the horse show and flamenco show and wondered if there was a way you could have addressed this. Are shows offered in the day or could we have booked a taxi in advance?

We didn't have time - one week only - to go over the whole itinerary and prepare for the trip. This should be sent at least a month ahead.

First time with KimKim and it will not be our last!

Our trip to Spain began with no planning other than a good value on plane tickets to Madrid. We approached KimKim and lucked into Coraima who took our blank slate and put together an amazing trip package that left us wanting more. Each day seemed to build upon our knowledge and enjoyment from the previous day. Our expert guides added an accelerated depth of both which could not have been achieved without them during our 8 day visit (way to short by the way):

-Irene, born and raised in Toledo, knew all of the short cuts
-Elena brought the Prado to life
-I will not attempt to spell our Grand Palace guide's name, she delivered more than just a "big house" by filling it with many fun royal anecdotes
-Avila and Segovia and all points between were handled expertly by Martin
-Lorena brought sun to a rainy day in Seville showing us the Acalzar and Cathedral
-Yohanna made us feel like family during our Triana Flamenco and Tapas experience. Is there anyone she doesn't know in that town?
-Carlos was a pleasure guiding us through Ronda and Zahara de la Sahara's rich history while finding us local treats and securing a Puento Nuevo view table by a fire for lunch on a chilly day

Our itinerary did leave some time for self-exploration, and we took full advantage of that time: Tapas, parks, Tapas, squares, Tapas, casino, Tapas, shopping...and Tapas. Averaging nearly 15K steps each day we actually lost weight on the trip. Accommodations were convenient, friendly and clean (Cetina in Seville, Regina in Madrid). Transports were on time with strong communication and friendly drivers.

Coraima and Lea were diligent in communication throughout the entire journey, they felt like angels on our shoulders!

Hope this comes off as a positive review, as it is meant as nothing less!

Our guides were very well informed and most of them provided detailed histories of Spain and details of the Spanish culture. I thought our guide for the Prado was especially impressive with her knowledge of art and Spanish history. It was a phenomenal experience. Our guide in Toledo and the two drivers/guides for the trips to Avila & Segovia and the White Villages & Rhonda were also very knowledgeable and provided an enjoyable tour for our group. Also loved the Royal Palace and intriguing stories from our guide.

Our accommodations were also first rate and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend your company to anyone interested in obtaining help with their tours. Thank you.
