All the tour guides were excellent and the family enjoyed the tours and other activities related to this visit. One tour guide we would like to highlight was Marta, the tour guide for the Alhambra. She took the time to answer all the questions my two little grandchildren had. It was a four hour class for them. The transportation services were excellent, always on time, and very courteous driver. Special kudos to the driver that took us to Malpica de Tajo. This was a four hours excursion in this little town we thought was the birthplace for our family name. There was nothing to do there except to look at a castle. We asked the driver to see if it was possible to go to Toledo. He called the company and accommodated us to this excursion that was not planned. The hotel locations and facilities were superb. We enjoyed all three cities visited, but Malaga was our favorite. We might return again.

He or provided excellent services throughout the planning process. We are extremely happy with him. He is a keeper for our next big family vacation.

We visited Barcelona, Sevilla, Porto and Lisbon over 2 weeks. We asked for a multi-city trip loosely based on a food and wine itinerary designed by Adam, a kimkim specialist. Adam worked with us to customise the trip and was very helpful in balancing experiences and "vacation time" - he planned local experiences and private tours so that we learned a lot, experienced wonderful things and met amazing people, without feeling overwhelmed by hurry up and get somewhere. We still had plenty of time to slow down, explore on our own and enjoy being in beautiful places together.

Highlights - apart from wandering and ogling beautiful architecture and views interspersed with excellent food and wine - were the market visit and cooking class in Barcelona with Barcelona Cooking (making those recipes at home regularly!!) the private tour of Real Alcázar with Cristina from Yannat in Seville where we could take our time and ask all the questions we wanted, the Douro Valley wine tour with Philip (be sure to check the weather for Douro as it is often much hotter than the coast!) and the day trip to Sintra with the incomparable Luis as our guide.

Things we learned or might do differently - we would double check our transfer times between cities and adjust with days or method of transportation so that we are making the most out of the time and not spending 1/2 day or so waiting to get somewhere. We would call ahead to the hotels and double check our rooms are not next to elevators, over the lobby etc. We would spend longer in the Southern areas - we connected more with the people and the pace of things in the Southern areas of both countries (despite the heat) so we plan on exploring more next time we visit.

All said - a wonderful two weeks and we are so appreciative of all of the help Adam and the kimkim team provided!! We will be booking through kimkim again!

With the help of our amazing trip planner Adam and our booking agent Summer, my husband and I had our dream trip to Spain a little over a week ago. Adam made the planning experience as easy as possible. He was as excited to plan our trip as we were and made sure to tailor the trip to our needs. We are foodies and enjoyed learning about the the culture and history through the regional foods as we traveled through Barcelona where we took a wonderful cooking class with Juan at Barcelona Cooking after visiting the famous Boqueria Market to do our shopping for Paella. Then it was off to Girona where we fell in love with the old and new parts of the town. Here we met Marc from Girona Food Tours for a private walking tour learning about the unique history of the Catalan language and cuisine. We stayed in one of the most beautiful hotels we had ever stayed in, the Palau Fugit. In Madrid we shopped till we dropped and come home with espadrilles. This is also where we spent some time with Enrique for a private walking tour of authentic food spots filled with stories that has us feeling like locals. Finally landing in Seville, hotel Gravina 51 welcomed us warmly with a beautiful note and something fizzy to enjoy our first night. We ate, we drank, we met beautiful friendly people along the way and our hope is to return again soon. Our family trip to Spain was wonderful. We took our family of 12, including 4 grandchildren, to Spain to celebrate my husband’s 75th birthday. We visited 5 cities in 2 weeks. The trip required lots of pre-planning. Bea helped us with transportation, guides, museum tickets, and hotel reservations.
Overall we were very pleased with our first KimKim trip, though initially somewhat frustrated with our attempts to compare hotels, and later on with delays in communication as we finalized tours and drivers .
The trip went off beautifully. Itinerary details were clear, everything ran on time with no glitches. It all ended up well and we are very happy we used KimKim!

Bea lined up professional guides and drivers for our unique itinerary, tailoring museum tours to the children’s level and giving us the ability to get off the beaten path to see the tiny towns of my husband’s ancestors.

Had a very accomplished driver who got us where we needed to go. The main attraction in Burgos is the beautiful Gothic cathedral which is preeminent in Spain and Europe. The bus had to drop us off a few blocks away from the cathedral. Definitely worth the visit but not necessary to spend more than a few hours in Burgos.

Day Excursion to San Sebastián: A Scenic Coastal Journey

Adur was an excellent and memorable tour guide. He was an interesting conversationalist, well-versed in the area, and fun to spend the day with. He helped us make the most of a rainy day in San Sebastián, making the area come alive with his anecdotes and enthusiasm. We ate tasty pintxos at 2 fun restaurants as we walked through San Sebastián and then enjoyed a leisurely drive along the beautiful coast back to Bilbao. On the way back we stopped for a visit to the charming town of Getaria.

Geza, Madrid-Very knowledgeable and caring. He did a great job of showing us the sights and explaining the importance behind each one. He was a little rushed, but seemed to be only because it was so hot. He gave us great recommendations.

Chavi, Toledo-One of my favorites. Chavi was so thoughtful the entire tour. He gave us what felt like a unique experience and made sure we got to know all we could about Toledo.

Heather, Tapas Málaga-Phenomenal! We got so much more than a tapas tour with Heather. She gave us so much information about the city and area, along with a history of the food we were trying.

Alfonso, Caminito del Rey-He was clearly experienced and knew what he was doing. He seemed over it with our group, but he still did a great job.

Eduardo, Top Buggy-Another one of our favs. He clearly knew what he was doing both with the side by sides and with providing a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and charismatic.

Gabriela, Alhambra-She was very kind and knowledgeable. She had a way of making sure we understood the history of the Alhambra through her words and added pictures for explanation. We could tell she really cared about the history of this place.

Katia, Tapas Granada-You could tell she used to own a restaurant. She was an expert in the food and wines we were tasting.

Lola, Sevilla-Lola was great! She took great care in making sure we got the most out of our experience.

Adriane, Cádiz-She was so energetic and excited to share about the history of Cádiz. She also sent us some great recommendations for the rest of the day.

All of our guides were phenomenal! We really lucked out with all that we got to do!

The perfect amount of walking and history for our first tour. Was a bit rushed, but was overall a great experience!

Planning a trip to Barcelona for 10 family members (ages 15-86) seemed overwhelming until we found the KimKim site and reached out to Hector. From the first communication we were confident that we had found someone who would work very hard to make sure that we were going to be very satisfied. He gave us an itinerary that seemed very good and within our budget and was quick to tell us that it could be adapted to suit us better. Some changes were made and each question we had or requested modifications were handled quickly and smoothly. When I say the trip exceeded our expectations I am not exaggerating. The hotels were very comfortable and in an excellent location. The breakfast included was terrific . Our guides were all so personable and knowledgeable. We were impressed with their ability to share so much interesting information, answer questions and just be so welcoming. They never rushed us or seemed like they had a tight schedule. We enjoyed our time with each of them.
The snorkeling/kayaking trip was especially memorable for the girls and their parents. Two great guides provided a thrilling experience for them. I would definitely recommend KimKim as a place to start any family trip. I didn’t realize they plan trips to many locations. They give you a very specific experience tailored to your family and include so many different things that generally appealed to all ages. Thank you Hector and your team.

This small beautiful hotel has so much character and charm. It is located in the old town of Begur and we enjoyed the atmosphere and wandering through the small pedestrian streets. Lots of good food and affordable shopping. The walk to the fortress provided magnificent views of the coastal beaches. The children and grandchildren loved their time at the beaches and the beautiful Mediterranean water.

I greatly appreciated not having to wade through all the details of planning things myself. In addition, our agent was very helpful with advice for additional things to do and in being a real-time resource. There was also a very nice range of activities for everyone to enjoy--activities that might have been busy or sold out if we had decided to pursue them without prior reservations. We had excellent tour guides: Geza in Madrid, Ana in Barcelona, & Alex in Montserrat. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for an upcoming vacation.

We stayed in one of the 3 bedroom villas. The size of the villa and views exceeded our expectations. It was nice to have a common area and some room to spread out. The views from the terrace were absolutely stunning. The breakfast/dinner area offers gorgeous views of the water and the medieval city on the other side of the beach. The pool and adjacent beach area are great. The hotel is easily accessible to the main part of town but a little set apart, so not too busy or loud. Lovely and highly recommended.

A very nice hotel right in the middle of everything. We were there during the busiest Pride events in 2025: parade, music, dance parties until 2:30 am. The black out curtains and nice thick windows ensured that sleeping was no problem. If you're looking for a quieter or slightly more residential location, this might not be the right choice for you. It was a great vantage point for exploration throughout the city. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Excursion to Montserrat Monastery & Scenic Mountain Hike

I highly recommend this experience for a half day trip from Barcelona. The mountain and views are truly beautiful. The monastery, beautiful and peaceful. After transportation and the initial guided tour, we had about an hour or so free. I could probably have spent about a half hour more, but overall a lovely experience.

My family and I LOVED this experience. It was on a very hot July day in Madrid. I was worried that we would be too worn out to appreciate it. However.....it helps that the experience involves both food and alcohol! I'm embarrassed that I can't remember the definite name of our tour guide--Alberto or Alfonzo....definitely started with an "A". He was lovely and we clicked with the family of 5 from the UK. The not-too-touristy neighborhood was a definite win. I loved the historical background. I would absolutely recommend this as a wonderful experience--and one that will likely meet your dinner requirements, at least for us Americans that are used to eating at an earlier hour than Spaniards.

Geza was really friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about Madrid history.

This was our first experience with KimKim, and overall, we found it to be quite positive, leading us to consider using their services again in the future. Wanted to send a thank you for organizing such an amazing trip to Mallorca and Barcelona for our bi-annual guys getaway. Everything in Spain went smoothly, and the guys loved all the excursions and attention to detail that the KimKim team put into planning this trip.

Palma especially was a hit — we had a great time there doing the Valdemossa and Soller excursion with Sofia, and the Catamaran with Helmut. We used our free day to bike around Barcelona for Day 5. Huge thanks to Coraima and Alejandra for all the thoughtful planning and coordination. You really helped make this trip one to remember.

Marvelous Place it’s better to go early in the morning. The guide was very good and very kind extremely attentive to to see if we were tired and find solutions to help. She thought that I was tired and ask the people from Alambra to let the school through much easier door all this without us asking her. It was really wonderful thank her. She was also very interesting with all the things she knew about in the history of lumber and also history of beginning of Spain and with old history of the region through time.

At some point several months ago, I searched the Internet for help planning a Spain vacation. This was to be an important event as I had planned to propose to my girlfriend in one of the most romantic places I had come across years ago - the gardens behind the Alcazar in Seville, Spain. The important note here is that I didn’t have a lot of time to do my own planning … so the objective was just some lodging and logistics… What I ended up with was way more and way better than I could have imagined. I’m so incredibly grateful that one of the links that came up was kimkim, and that I reached out to them just to see what was possible Importantly, my first experience and conversation with kimkim built trust that they could help me because of the professionalism and credibility they conveyed. The plan was thoughtful. There were check ins to make sure they were on track, but the actual vacation, the hotels that they booked, the experts they aligned with us to show us around like the Prado museum in Madrid, or the expert that showed us around the Alhambra in Granada, was simply amazing…. We remarked to one another throughout our vacation, how great the experience was … we were able to see other groups in some of the same venues and that experience compared to ours seem dreadful - it’s so superior to have a personalized experience versus being part of a large group… kimkim set up with us a personalized experience and that made all the difference …the hotels were perfect for us as well as all transportation, resources, and transfers. We’re all set up and all things arranged and effortless for us. I cannot recommend them enough - if you want something special and personalized and memorable and comfortable, I recommend you take advantage of the resources and services from kimkim. Here’s something that blew us away. Unbeknownst to me, one of the experts kimkim set up, Cristina in Seville, set up a professional photographer to take pictures of my proposal in the garden. They led us to a perfect spot and without us knowing, took pictures when I popped the question. Oh and she did say yes! One important addition ….we had time to do our own thing intermixed with a lot of experiences that they organized. Overall, I would give them a score of 15 out of 10. We are very grateful to Coraima and Summer from kimkim. And we are very grateful to all the people that helped us in this vacation, the drivers, the experts, all of the hotels’ staff, the restaurants, the events… It was all perfect. Perfect.

The Private La Alpujarra Villages Day Trip was a unique experience. While our guide encountered a language barrier, we managed well with translations, and he was pleasant to interact with. This wasn't a big detriment to the experience though, since it seemed to fit the relaxed atmosphere of the villages and we still had a good time soaking in the local charm.

We had such a wonderful trip as set up by Helena! Communication was seamless - she and the support crew responded quickly to adjust plans when needed. We enjoyed our local tour guides - Audrey in Paris, Miguel D. in Barcelona, and Diego in San Sebastian - as well as the pintxos tour in San Sebastian led by Erica and cooking lesson in Barcelona led by Mariángeles.

Of special note, Jaime curated a truly enjoyable tour of the Basque Country coastal towns from San Sebastian to Bilbao, and Stepan led us on a super fun hike and seakayak Costa Brava experience. Those two days were our favorites!

Our trip through Spain was amazing and wonderful. All the tour guides were excellent, except for the Picasso tour, where the guide seemed to be in a rush and I didnt provide enough explanation. We felt we needed to do it again on our own to fully enjoy it.
In SA Sebastián, both the Chef and the Sailing tour were spectacular. My wife and I had never had such an unforgettable experience. It’s a trip we’ll always remember fondly.

Beatriz did an amazing job with our trip! Some of my favorite highlights of the trip were the food tours in Barcelona and Porto, the tour in Girona, and the winery lunch & tour in the Douro Valley. Our hotel in Barcelona was in the perfect location.

Our trip was great. We really appreciate Hector's assistance with the planning. All of our guides were great, with Nuno being the BEST on our daytrip to Cascais and Sintra! He was informative, kind and entertaining. Our second favorite guide was Rachel on our Cominito Del Rey tour. For the most part our drivers were also fantastic, with the exception of Julio. We had to wait a little bit for him to pick us up (even though he said he was there) but what was most disappointing was that he clearly was not well. He coughed and sniffled repeatedly and very frequently spat out the window. I'm pretty sure as a result of his apparent symptoms our daughter who was sitting directly behind him fell ill during our trip. In fact, there were sputum tracks on the passenger side window from his spitting.
