“Possibly camper van road trip? Christmas in Reykjavik? New Years outdoors with Northern Lights? Hiking. Skiing/Snowboarding. Other outdoor activities would be great. At least one day at an outdoor hot bath/lagoon/spa. Off-beat attractions are always a plus. Whale watching. Husky sledding or just petting. Any activities involving seeing or touching animals would be amazing.”

Summary of the trip planning conversation
Looks like you're gearing up for an amazing trip! My name is Mikael and I'm born and raised in Iceland. I will be happy to assist you in creating a memorable vacation to Iceland!
I would like to know a little more about the duration you're looking for. I can see the duration is 14 days, which is great, is that the ideal duration?
What kind of accommodation are you looking for? Would you like 4-star, 3-star, guesthouses, hostels?
Just some tips ahead of time:
Northern Lights depend on solar activity above Iceland, but since Iceland doesn't receive much sunlight during that time of the year meaning it's not the highest chance of seeing Northern Lights, however, it's also not impossible when you're in the countryside.
In the peak of winter some roads in Iceland may be closed due to snow, but most major roads are open and are available for driving.
Look forward to hear from you!
