Overview of Morroco: Country side, natural attractions, historical cities

A couple visited Morocco in April 2018

“Love countryside and natural attractions and old sections of cities, not intersted in Roman ruins.

I have about 10 days and I'm not into lying on the beaches. Love local customs.

Interested in Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Rabat, mountains deserts. Love history, local craftsmen, perhaps an overnight in the desert.”

Hello, Thank you very much for making contact with us through Kimkim. It would be great to work with you to develop your ideal tour to Morocco.

I have now been exploring the country for over 10 years and I never fail to be surprised and amazed by all that I see and experience. Morocco is colourful, lively and spectacular.

To include all the places and experiences that you wish, a tour of around 10 days duration would be needed. In that time a superb circuit could be enjoyed to include the Imperial Cities (Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Meknes - possibly omitting Volubilis if you don't wish Roman ruins) before moving across the High Atlas and then on to the Sahara.

Such a journey would certainly allow you to see many traditional activities (e.g. Berber life in the High Atlas) as well as enjoying a night in the Sahara (either in an hotel or in a Bedouin tent).

However, crucial for first draft itinerary development is knowing your likely entry/exit airports. Would they be Casablanca? Or Marrakech? Or one of each? If you could kindly tell me then I can proceed to draft a first itinerary for your consideration.

Looking forward to hearing back from you and then together developing your ideal Morocco tour itinerary.

Kind regards, Ian

We think we will fly into Casablanca from Lisbon and fly back same route at this point. flights not yet booked. We would like the experience of sleeping in a tent in the desert that other tour companies offer.

I am pleased that you like the itinerary. I will now work on a tour price based on it and the inclusions/exclusions as indicated.

The driver will speak English and he will be able to assist you plenty and tell you some information, of course. However, I would suggest that a Guide in Fes (perhaps a whole day) and a Guide in Marrakech ( perhaps a half day) would be a good addition. I will add this to your tour pricing.

Regarding sleeping in a desert tent, this can certainly be an option for you.

What level of accommodation would you like? 3*, 4*,or 5*?

A tour Price will now be calculated and later send to you for your consideration.

Kind regards, Ian

Said was perfect in every way. Good driver, knowledgeable, patient with us and always with a smile. He was punctual , respectful and when there was a mix up with one of our bookings, he handled it with no problem. We had the utmost confidence in him. He went out of his way to show us his culture. I would give him 5 stars for the service he provided and would recommend him without reservation.
