Our Morocco Immersions 14 day tour of Morocco was great. Our visits were generally well planned and organized. The driver, Mustafa, was excellent. Abdu, our tour manager, did a consistently very good job guiding us, keeping us informed, and organizing our days. The local tour guides were all good to very good. Our guides in Rabat and Fez were the strongest. Some of the most enjoyable experiences were ones where we engaged with Moroccans more closely. Lunch at Volubilis was very enjoyable. Couscous at Abdu and Sharon’s home was fantastic. Our cooking lesson in Essouaria was great fun. Hussein and Khalidya were wonderful hosts at that cooking lesson. Camping in the desert was great. Finally be sure you get a Berber pizza! What’s a Berber pizza? Visit and you will see 😎

Nourjaddin was an exceptionally well spoken and informed guide in Rabat. Said was a wonderful information source since he grew up in old Fes. The home hospitality offered by Abdou and Sharon was exceptionally kind and generous and offered a nice view and personal introduction into Moroccan family and relatives. (We wish for a heathy delivery for Aziza and baby!) Kazbah Tiziri and Michelle were a a unique treat. She was amazingly attentive to our food habits and a fabulous interpreter of Moroccan cuisine. She noticed we were not eating raw fruits and parboiled the grapes so we would feel comfortable eating them! Michelle was also very open to our suggestions about improvements in the rooms. We hope for her success. The introduction to ancient to modern Moroccan water management (khettaras) was important to learn for today’s climate stressed world. Moustafa was an exceptional driver; careful and experienced. He did an amazing job navigating the high Atlas mountain passes. Thank you Abdou for recommending the pigeon pastilla and for an amazing and unique birthday cake in Palais de Fes. I will never forget “Berber Pizza”. - shopping for it as well as eating it. What a fun experience. Kadijha and Husseine helped us make the finest tagines we ate over the whole trip. They represent the finest and kindest of Moroccan citizens. A wonderful finish to the trip.

Overall, the service Majid provided was excellent.

2. **Options and Service:** 5/5 stars Majid offered a few options to choose from and provided clear guidance on the best options and excursions to consider. He was not trying to sell anything but simply guiding.
3. **Value:** 4/5 stars Compared to other tour companies, I think he provides great value. It's not cheap, but certainly very reasonable.
4. **Quality:** 5/5 stars My wife and I were impressed with the quality of guides and the types of experiences we had. This isn't meant to be a luxurious tour, but it is certainly high quality. Our guide in Marrakech was almost like a history teacher, happy to share lots of information about the city, which he seemed to love. He took us on an interesting tours, food tour and history sites.
5. **Transportation:** 5/5 Our driver, Mohsen, was exceptional. Funny, polite, and responsive to our questions and needs. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
6. **Excursions:** 5/5 stars I can't include everything we did, but the Berber desert camp was one of a kind and not to be missed. We are certainly considering doing it again if we return.

We were very happy with the service and are planning to come back to this beautiful country with its warm hospitality and lovely people. Majid will certainly be the person to use next visit.

Samir was a fantastic driver. We could not have asked for anything more. He was accommodating and professional at every turn. He provided great insight about his beautiful country and answered all of our questions. He definitely elevated our trip and our experience.

Morocco is an amazing place of landscape beauty-the Atlas mountains, the Sahara and the Atlantic ocean, interesting, caring and warm people and a Country with a long history well told by the guides provided and our wonderful driver Karim. The trip was 16 days with highlights that included hiking the canyon of the Atlas mountains and then a private lunch in he home of our guides sister, the Sahara-the camel ride and luxury tents with the energy of the sand and the amazing sky, and the knowing of Berbers, their history and their status as the native Moroccans. The Berber motto of Free people served as the basis for the warmth and wonder of this trip. Having Karim as our driver that seemed to know every Berber everywhere we went enriched the stories and history we learned. The food diversity with the Moroccan fare and the French influence created wonderful dining experience on rooftops with great sunsets. Ahhh, cannot close without mentioning the music-Gnawa music, Amazigh folk music and sufi trance music at the evenings close. Can't wait to go back!!

The trip was great.

Highlight was the desert camp, but it was all fantastic. Driver was very helpful and thoughtful. Guide in Marrakech was the best.

Only suggestions I would give is better communication from the driver on the long days. It was sometime unclear when we would stop and what for. There were a couple of stops we probably would have skipped (movie studio) if we knew they were happening. Also there were a few times we had to pay admission or guides that we were not told about ahead of time. - including guide for Aït Benhaddou. That guide was particularly disappointing. It would have been good to know this so we were prepared or could have decided if we wanted to do that. Other trips I have booked included the cost of admission to places in them so I was surprised kimkim had not already included those in the prices we paid.

We had to pay for guide in Aït Benhaddou ourselves. It did not seem to be prearranged and driver just connected with a local there who was doing tours. He rushed us through and gave limited info. Did not allow us to stop when we wanted. It seemed like he wanted to get back early to take the next tourists. Pretty disappointing.

We had the most memorable time with Ismail. And even now when we tell our family and friends about our Moroccan adventure, Ismail was one of the highlights of our trip! We encountered some very difficult weather and floods but he was such a skilled driver and has calm demeanour that we all felt very safe. Our group was a hesitant in taking this sunrise balloon ride especially with the slight wind. But Yousef the operator was amazing! He was able to put us all at ease! And on a cloudy day , took us above the clouds just in time to see the sunrise. It was almost spiritual! It was SO moving. And then we saw other balloons start popping up thru the clouds. It was spectacular! It was the most memorable thing we have ever done! Many many thanks to Yousef! 🙏🤩

My husband and I rarely get the opportunity to travel together. The trip to Morocco was rather impromptu. The Kim Kim team was fantastic every step of the way, helping us choose excursions and day trips. One element different from our previous travels was the use of a single driver for travel throughout the country. We are so lucky to have met Hamsa, our driver and travel expert. What a fantastic young gentleman. Hamsa arrived to greet us every morning with a rundown of where we would be travelling each day. The car was always immaculate and Hamsa was always perfectly dressed , ready to answer questions and pack the car with water and coins for incidentals, like bathroom stops and fresh pomegranate juice. The good relationships between the KimKim tam, Hamsa and our guides in the various cities made for a seamless and memorable trip of a lifetime. When unforeseen torrential rain washed out roads, the KimKim team worked to make accommodations for travel changes, and even plan new experiences in the event we were stuck due to road emergencies. The guides in each of the cities were wonderful, each a wealth of knowledge. Every single guide was so happy to share with us the history and progress and remarkable features of their city. Every single guide was happy to help us learn enough of the language (even Berber)to say "hello"and "thank you", so we could be respectful guests in their lands. My favorite guide was Hanyn, who we were able to see twice while in Marrakech. Hanyn guided our evening food tour, which I highly recommend, and the tour of the city the following day. Hanyn's historical knowledge of Marrakech and Morocco in general, brought the ancient sites to life. Hanyn's relationships with the shopkeepers gave us access to their knowledge of their products, how they came to work in their craft, and their love for their community. One takeaway that was distinctly notable about every aspect of the KimKim Morocco experience: these knowledgeable individuals have great pride and love for their country. Their hope is to share the wonderful, exotic delights that make up the beautiful place that is Morocco. Their pride of place in their individual cities is apparent in their teaching. So many wonderful experiences that we will remember . I invite you to let the KimKim team plan a fantastic journey for you and embark upon the same quest we took, with mountain hikes, coastal walks, desert stars, rally cars and a country full of friendly, remarkable people. We cannot wait to go there again.

Great trip to Morocco. We would suggest others considering a similar itinerary take 16 days to do the trip, rather than our 11days. Many long days in the car brining us to amazing sites, but little time to enjoy the destination as often arriving early evening and leaving at 9am the next day. Wonderful stops along the way, but there was nowhere near the time needed to avail of them all based on how our trip was booked. Recognize driving in Morocco takes longer and thus 300km trip will likely take at 10 hours with a lunch stop.

Morocco is a wonderful place to visit. Original travel was great and our driver and tour guides where fantastic. The Riads were beautiful and it will always be a memorable trip! Although it is a long drive the overnight in the Erg Chebbi - the Sahara dessert dunes was amazing. We are very grateful for our tour guides, particularly navigating the amazing Median of Fez. The history and culture we learned from them enhanced the trip immeasurably.

So fun to explore the Market with Yassin. We tried so many different foods, learned a ton and had a great opportunity to ask all of our questions about life in Morocco in an informal open way. Kids had a great time as well and the flexibility of the tour worked well for our family.

I'm so glad I worked with KimKim to plan my trip around Morocco. It was so comforting to work with a team that knows the country to handle logistics, hotel recommendations & bookings, and setting us up with local guides. There are so many things that we wouldn't have known to ask for that were included in our itinerary, like a stop to feed capuchin monkeys on our way to Merzouga, and the trip was so much better because of these things.

We are especially grateful to our driver, Samir, who was great to talk to, always on time, and very patient as our luggage expanded throughout the tour. He was a huge part of what made this trip outstanding. We knew we were in good hands with Samir from the very first day when he met us with a smile at the airport, and we really appreciated all of the insights he gave us into Morocco and its culture.

We also had wonderful experiences with our city tour guides, Shafir in Fes and Hanan in Marrakech. They were both so knowledgeable, helpful, and generous with their time. Our time in the desert at Tiziri Camp was so wonderful, the whole team there made us feel welcomed and cared for as individuals even when there were 10 other guests.

I cannot recommend KimKim or its partners enough!

We had the pleasure of meeting Shafir in Fes for a walking tour. Fes is a complicated city to navigate and it was impressive to see Shafir leading us through the narrowest streets without even a glance at a navigation device. He was full of useful information, took us to meet the most skilled artisans, and helped us understand the city and its history. It was a long day of walking but it really flew by as we peeked into mosques, explored the Medrasa Al-Attarine, and took photos at the palace gates.

Our driver/guide was Karim and he showed us a great time in Morocco along with excellent local guides in each city we visited. The trip was very well planned and over 17 days we spent time in every main city in the country as well as went to the Sahara, Atlas Mountains and the coasts. Kimkim works with local travel companies and the one they used for our trip in Morocco, Original Travels, put together a great journey that expanded in the planning stage with my desire to include Tangier and add 2 free days in Marrakech. We had a private trip with our own driver/guide every day for just my friend and myself - each with our own hotel/riad room every night - for 17 days for about $5000 (plus tips). AMAZING!!

We had a fantastic hiking guide for the Monkey’s Fingers canyon hike! It was beautiful and thrilling and even though my leg hurt from the camel accident 2 days earlier, especially on the uphill part, I focused on the great experience. I could not have done the hike without our guide, who used his feet as ledges etc. And afterwards, we had a tagine lunch at the home he shares with his sister, who made the delicious lunch, and her husband.

It was a great experience except that I was given a juvenile camel and a very young “handler” and when it came time to get back on the camel after our “break” in the middle of our 2-hour trek, I had an “accident.” The handler did not control the young camel and before I was fully on the camel, it started standing up with me hanging off. I fell off and then another handler came over, but neither even attempted to control the camel and the same thing happened again - and while half on, the camel rose up and after trying to hang on, I fell off again. They swapped out camels and with a now-injured leg, I got on and finished the ride (because I’m tough!). I was able to do everything on the trip after that, including hiking down and up the Monkey’s Fingers canyon, walk about 6 miles a day. etc but my leg hurt the rest of the trip and it turned not just black and blue but much of it turned black! I will include a photo below.

We had an amazing Moroccan experience with KimKim and Original Travels. We had originally planned our trip for October of 2023, but the earthquake had hit Marrakech just weeks before our arrival. Abdel was very kind and flexible and allowed us to reschedule at anytime within the next year.
Our trip started in Casablanca and looped through Rabat, Fes, the desert, and ended in Marrakech. Our driver Samir was excellent - always available and timely. He shared information about Morocco, made activity and restaurants suggestions, and was very flexible with us-and kept us on a good schedule to see everything on our list.

We had an amazing journey through Morocco. Samir, our driver/guide cared for us excellently. His expertise made the trip seamless and enjoyable. We also had outstanding local guides. In Fez, Shariff, spent the entire day with our group sharing all of his knowledge of the magical city. In Marakesh, Hennah, took us on a walking tour through all of the winding streets of the Medina and even made us a dinner reservation at a beautiful rooftop restaurant. The highlight of our trip was our time in the Sahara desert. Our experience in the desert surpassed all of our expectations. In summary, Kimkim organized a wonderful vacation for us.

Overall we had an amazing experience during our trip to Morocco. The hospitality of the people is incredible, food was delicious, the cities are enchanting and our driver Samir was absolutely the best! If you visit Morocco you definitely have to have Samir as your driver. He is kind, knowledgable, respectful, punctual and will show you the best local places and not only the ones were all tourists go. He knows the best spots for pictures and real Moroccan food.

Our guide Ismail made our trip. He was very knowledgeable, and gave us in-depth insight to urban and rural living, culture , religion, and Moroccan history. It was information that we would otherwise never have experienced. He was kind and had a great sense of humor . His concern for our safety was paramount and he was willing to assist us with anything that we needed. We would highly recommend KimKim for the tour aspect of a trip to Morocco and overwhelmingly recommend that you ask for Ismail.

Beautiful Riad. Only problem is that they had a beautiful pool and it was hot but there was nowhere to lounge by the pool as all the tables around were for the restaurant. The lounges were up on a small deck which only fit 4 lounges and it was hot with no air flow because of the walls around it. Part of the restaurant should have been made into the pool lounges.

Kimkim is a great option to organise travel for those of us who are short of time.

The process of selecting an itinerary and the suggestions as to activities to do during the trip were spot on.

Very clean, comfy bed but the hotel entirely lacks any sort of personality or charm. Its restaurant needs a lot of work on its breakfast menu and the chef who does the dinner service could be a lot better. It advertises that it has a bar, which it does (the structure at least) but does not serve alcohol like the other larger hotels nearby. I ordered a breakfast pack for an early morning departure and this did not eventuate (miscommunication between the front desk and the kitchen or the kitchen forgot (which was what the front desk claimed)).

This was a great experience. Interesting tour of the winery followed by the wine and goats cheese tasting. Three different types of goats cheese (from just made to aged for 3 months - full pieces of each), warm out of the oven bread, olives, olive oil and four different types of wine. Not just tiny tastings, but good sized glasses and offers of more!

Our week long trip through Morocco was amazing! Nihad did a wonderful job planning every detail of this trip and ensuring anything we wanted to do was included in the itinerary. We had some last-minute accommodation needs upon arrival the required some adjustments and Nihad and the team were on it, making changes to some of the riads and our trip plan to help meet our needs and we are so appreciative of that! Abdul Rahman was our tour manager for this trip and did an awesome job guiding us through each of stops from Marrakech to Casablanca and everything in between. He went out of his way to make sure we covered everything we wanted to and more! He made some awesome food recommendations and showed us some great local spots as well traveled city to city.

Marrakech - we arrived here and had a walking guided tour exploring the markets, Le Jardin Secret, and main square/market area. We covered a lot of ground and our guide was very informative. We had lunch at the market place at a place called Chez Lamine and it was one of the favorites of the trip!
Dades Valley - Our next stop was in the Dades Valley area. We made several stops along the way for coffee/tea which helped break up the long drive as well as a lunch stop that came as a recommendation from our tour manager! Once we arrived to our destination for the night, Abdul Rahman provided us with a tour of the rose distillery and learned all about the distillation process. We finished our evening with dinner with a local family which was actually our tour managers family at his home and had the pleasure of meeting Nihad! This was very enjoyable, and the food was delicious!
Merzouga - Our next stop was towards the desert! En route to our camps for the night we made some stops along the way at a carpet shop and seeing the carpet weaving process as well as learning and seeing one of the world oldest water channels. Once we got to the desert area we took a camel ride to our luxury camp for the night which was a very peaceful experience and such a nice way to end the busy day! We opted for the 4x4 drive out the next morning since it was slightly faster than the camels and gave us more time to head towards our next destination.
Fes: We spent two nights here! One was more traveling to Fes and our second day was a guided tour! We really enjoyed the guided tour and seeing the Royal Palace of Fes, and all the craftsmen work while learning about all the history of the city.
Casablanca - our final stop and a quick one! We had an amazing stay right by the water which was a very relaxing way to end the trip and was able to squeeze in a visit to the Hasan II Mosque which was beautiful!
