We were traveling as a family of 4 with 2 kids and our trip was excellent. Special thanks to our guide Sameer who was so helpful and made us feel very comfortable. We had a clean, spacious, well maintained private van. He almost felt like family and we were sad to leave him at the end of our trip. Very happy with all the Riads we stayed in- Lina Ryad & Spa in Chefchaouen, Riad Salam- Fes, Tiziri Luxury Camp- Merzouga- it is place you will fall in love with and the staff is amazing- Ahmed, Yusuf and Moustafa, Riad Ksar Ighnda- Ait Ben Houddou, Riad Le Pèlerin- Marakkesh. The staff was very hospitable and genuinely happy to help and serve. Our diet needs of vegan and vegetarian were accommodated well. There is so much culture, art and history that will keep you in a constant awe. From the blue city of Chefcahouen to the Erb Cheggi Sand dunes and to the Medinas of Fes and Medina of Marakkesh you will experience a whole different world. Just as a learning- do not get lured into buying clearly significantly over priced stuff- when you visit the pottery co-operatives, carpet shops. Buy small souvenirs and spices- and bargain ( which many are just not used to doing). Overall a superb trip which has touched our hearts profoundly. My good friend Tim and I decided to take a trip to Morocco to see a land I had never explored. We decided to hire a guide to make the trip easier for us. Had we had the opportunity to design the perfect guide, we could not have done better than Jamal. If you are fortunate enough to be able to meet and travel with Jamal, then you will have a beautiful experience in a wonderful country. His knowledge and energy can not be over stressed in this review. His driving ability is second to none. We got to travel Morocco with the perfect guide. Every city we visited, and every stop we made were enhanced by his presence. Often I don’t ask enough questions, and Jamal could even fill in all the blanks to anticipate what I should be asking. The eight days spent with him will remain with me till my final breath. He knows the ins and outs of Morocco like nothing I could have expected. It brings tears to my eyes even now thinking of the care he took to make my trip perfect. Please seek this young man out for your adventure. I only hope we can meet again someday. I hope he has a great life. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Said and the other guides who also guided us around on the other city tours. Said lead us through Fez and his high energy made that part of the trip perfect. Thank you Said for your service in Morocco and also in the United States Army.

Every activity was wonderful. The riads were beautiful. The hammam, the tours - everything was incredible.

I put off writing this review for a few days after our trip just to see if my thoughts and feelings might change. I'm actually feeling more wistful about our time in Morocco. My photos show me in markets and madrasas, ruins and modern boulevards, beautiful roads and restaurants... and now I think I will have to go back.
I know everyone compliments their guides and planners. I enjoyed and appreciate their care and thoughtfulness. Thank you for combining these wonderful sites into a thrilling 9 days. Morocco Immersion indeed.
My greatest thanks go to Jamal, our driver and manager. It's been over 40 years since I've done a road trip with just the boys. Even better, I didn't have to do any of the driving!
Of course, Jamal was a safe, courteous, and considerate driver. Of course, he offered us many opportunities to stretch our legs or grab a photo. Of course, he had suggestions where we should stop and just enjoy the countryside, feel the sunshine, and smell the air.
I know other drivers will do this too.
Jamal showed me so much more than Morocco. He showed me a people and a culture and an appreciation for this corner of the beautiful blue marble I live on. There is Morocco... and there is Maghreb.
I spent nine days with one of my oldest besties and we were guided through an adventure I couldn't have imagined us ever sharing when we met 50 years ago. He's here. I have that.
I hope you enjoy your Morocco vacation. I know your guides and manager will be thorough and professional.
I pray that you get Jamal as your guide. When you're walking through the departure gate, you'll realize the hand shake and embrace you just received were from a new friend that really cared about creating memories and not just making sure you rode the meanest camel in the caravan.

This place is small but beautiful. The location and views are stunning. With just a few additions this place would get a much higher rating from me. The lighting at night is very dim in both the rooms and common areas. The hot water was unreliable. There was a cot in our room leaning against the wall but worst of all, they served instant coffee. All said, I would stay there again and hope that pointing these things out will help them improve.

Our guides were all different in how they interacted with us, some more formal than others. They were all knowledgeable and flexible. My favorite guide was Hanin in Marrakesh who was determined to feed us everything. Also our guide in Fes who knew so much and sang to us also

We had a unique unforgettable 8 day, 950 mile Moroccan experience. Below are the highlights.

TRIP PLANNING AND SUPPORT: We loved the initial questionnaire and user interface allowing you to let the travel agent know your favorite activities, and being able to comment on their suggestions to fine tune the experience. It was easy to pull up your trip summary from the email and their text messages and expand certain parts to view the details. Each day was clearly outlined with meeting place and what to bring and wear. In addition you could easily toggle back and forth between the Trip Summary and Trip Chat feature. Said responded to my text inquiries within the hour both while abroad and in Morocco.

TRANSPORTATION: Our itinerary required lots of driving and hours spent in the car. KimKim and their Morocco based travel specialists were very accommodating with the ambitious plan. Soufiane comes highly recommended as a driver. He was kind, knowledgeable, and courteous; answering questions without being intrusive or chatty. His English was good and he expertly navigated the new, clean SUV through sand, gravel, and snow during our traverse across the country.

HOTELS: All hotels Ali chose for us met our expectations. Unfortunately we could not stay two nights at the awesome Luxury Desert Camp in Erg Chebbi due to road closure from a snow storm. However, they found decent accommodations for us in Ifrane. The Riad Fes was beautiful and had the most wonderful rooftop bar. Dar Rihanna in the Dades Gorge area was quite out of the way, but close to hiking, and had excellent breakfast and dinners. La Maison Arabe was an historic old hotel with chic Jazz bar and cool rooftop bar in Marrakech. Initially we did not receive the room type we had requested at La Maison and the front desk was not helpful. We contacted Said and he was able to work things out to our satisfaction.

TOURS AND TOUR GUIDES: All in all, the tour guides chosen by the travel group were top notch. My husband did not like the guide in Fes as much as he was more inclined to take us to shops and less inclined to take us to see other cultural things. We liked our guide in Marrakech, Hanan, as she modified the tour based on our preferences and took us on a wonderful street food tour that evening. We had no food issues the entire trip and we tried a lot of different foods. The Moroccan cuisine is delicious with lots of flavorful meats and fresh fruits and vegetables. The only downside was the excursion to the Hammam. The scrub and massage were good but we were expecting a more quiet, serene ambiance and this place was definitely hustle/bustle.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Do your homework and let the company and tour guides know what you really want to see and do so you will not be disappointed.
2. Moroccan is a tourist driven economy and tips are really appreciated as the tour guides and drivers work very hard. A private driver is a must to get around.
3. Purchase alcoholic beverages beforehand for travel to the gorges or desert camps.
4. Plan on staying at least 2 nights in the desert as snowstorms and sandstorms can limit activities and access.
5. Bring an extra carry on bag for all the stuff you will end up buying. We are in the downsizing phase of our lives, my husband is the anti-shopper and yet we still bought several items. Browsing the shops and haggling is integral to the Moroccan experience.

Overall, an unforgettable experience. We will recommend KimKim and their current local Moroccan tour company to all our friends and family.

This was one of the best cooking classes I have been too while traveling. They had all of the ingredients prepped for us so that we could focus on learning about the cuisine vs chopping the vegetables. Each table had a screen so you could hear and see the instructor in the front of the class. I highly recommend this class!

Overall, this trip was a trip of a lifetime!! From start to finish, the planning, care and detail was superb and allowed for the magical experience we had!

The driver Reda was helpful, professional and full of great history on the country, cities and culture of the towns we visited. His warm approach, friendly demeanor and promptness really made the trip seamless all around! Over the course of the week, we became friends with Reda and consider him family.

The local guides for each city and Medina were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful too. We couldn’t have seen the city or had the same positive experiences without them. Thank you!

We just returned from a wonderful adventure with the family in Morocco. Our trip, planned through KimKim was well organized to cater to the varying ages of our group. Our driver throughout the trip, Tariq, went out of his way to make sure that we got where we needed to, and was always smiling. We greatly appreciated having him with us, and his willingness to adjust our plans as needed throughout our stay. We highly recommend Tariq as a driver!

Our guides in the old cities of Essouaira (Hassan), Marrakesh (Hanan), and Fez (Mohammed H) made history come alive for our group and we were delighted by their knowledge and attention.

We are particularly thankful to Mostafa and Yusuf, that hosted us in Merzouga (Tiziri Camp). The atmosphere was most welcoming during our delicious meals, the Berber (Amazigh) campfire music was an incredible experience, and the tours through the desert to see nomadic living up-close was something we will never forget.

Our self-guided time in Chefchaouen was memorable and definitely worth the long drive to get there.

Also worthy of mention are the beautiful accommodations that were arranged for us. The Riads and Dars were clean and beautiful, and the Camp in Merzouga made sleeping in the desert worry free.

A great experience overall!

Abdellatif was very responsive in adjusting the trip to our requests.

What a dream come true vacation...with our excellent driver, Tayeb, we saw an amazing amount of this beautiful country. The trip into the desert at Merzouga, meeting Youstuf and driving through the dunes is a delightful experience. The camel ride at sunset, the black sky with its many stars with the added bonus of a full moon, awesome. The total staff at this camp were helpful, friendly and did everything to ensure our two night stay in a luxury tent was memorable. Moustaffa working with Fatima provided excellent food and service...Marrakesh initially strikes you as a somewhat loud, jumble of people's, cars, motor scooters etc., but thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the Ryad and especially had fun at La Maison Arabe, with Wafa and Fatiha...top notch marketing. The food tour through the Medina , tasting different local dishes opened up the opportunity for tourists to have the real taste of Morocco...some of our Ryads had many stairs to manoueuve as did the luncheon areas selected by the local guides...to rest up before heading home, Essaouira was perfect...loved the crashing of the waves and the wind whipping through the buildings...small, easy to get around and very laid back....

The Lina Ryad & Spa in Chefchaouen was a beautiful place to stay for one night. The riad had a charming atmosphere and stunning views of the Blue City. However, the numerous narrow and circular stairs made it challenging to navigate, especially with jetlag. The location was great, but the stairs could be difficult for some guests.

The dining facilities and the bar facilities are lovely, but they are certainly not geared up for early travellers. International people have to be at the airport a couple of hours before their flight time. And so there were not in breakfast facilities available for us when we left in the morning.

Morocco exceeded all our expectations, thanks to the impeccable planning by Original Travels. Our 10-day adventure took us through the enchanting cities of Chefchaouen, Fes, Ait Benhaddou, Merzouga, and Marrakech, each stop offering its own unique charm and beauty.

Our journey was made even more memorable by our exceptional driver, Tariq. From the moment he greeted us at Casablanca airport, his warmth and humor set the tone for an unforgettable trip. Tariq's safe and comfortable driving, coupled with his infectious love for Bollywood, especially Shah Rukh Khan, added an extra layer of joy to our travels. He went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, making every moment on the road a delight.

In Fes, we were guided by Sharif, whose deep knowledge of the city's history and culture provided invaluable insights. His passion for the town shone through, enriching our experience and leaving us with a deeper appreciation for Fes's treasures.

Said, our guide in Marrakech, was equally impressive. His expertise and enthusiasm brought the city's vibrant streets and bustling markets to life. From the iconic Bahia Palace to the majestic Koutoubia Mosque, Said ensured we didn't miss a single highlight.

The riads and desert camp we stayed in were a perfect blend of luxury and authenticity, providing a comfortable retreat after days filled with exploration. Camping in the Sahara under the starlit sky was a truly magical experience, leaving us in awe of Morocco's natural beauty.

Overall, our trip was nothing short of epic. Every day was filled with unforgettable moments, thanks to the seamless planning by Original Travels, the expertise of our guides, and the exceptional service of Tariq. Morocco has left an indelible mark on us, and we're already dreaming of our next adventure in this captivating country.

We booked with original travels through kimkim and had a great time. Our specialist was Said and our Driver was Lahcen. We had Hinan as our food and history tour guide in Marrakech. Badr was our local guide in Skoura (not sure if he works for original travels). Youssef and Mustafa took great care of us at Tiziri Camp in Merzouga. IT ended in Fez with out guide Sharief.

The guides were all amazing and friendly. They tolerated my constant questions and inquiries. We had a great time bonding with them, learning about the culture, country, music, food, daily life, education, careers, Berber culture, language.

All of the guides did their best to accommodate me with my gluten allergy. The car was comfortable and spacious/clean. Our Driver took great care to follow the law and rules when it came to driving, safety and seat belts. He also did his best to communicate any needs/changes and requests and make the appropriate arrangements while we were on excursions. He was easily available by whatsapp and so was Siad. Our driver was available to us anytime if we needed to get a ride somewhere though we were so well taken care of, we did not end up needing to utilize this privilege. Lahcen also made plenty of spots for pictures along our long drives. He was aware of all the drives, routes, alternate options and restaurants/bathrooms/picture spots along the way. He also made sure to only stop at reputable looking clean places for restroom and snack breaks.

Getting our food tour on the first day of our trip really set us up for success because food is a big part of life so we knew what we wanted to ask for when we would eat and what I would specifically need to avoid due to my allergy. It was nice to get a background.

When I first contacted them about my requests for a tour, they were able to modify the trip to our likes/dislikes and needs.

If I were to give a suggestion to future guests and redoing this specific tour, I would recommend not to spend more than a few hours in Casablanca (definitely visit the Hassan II mosque and go on their tour). I would not spend time in Fes except to visit the tannery and ceramics workshop so maybe I would stay for one day and night but if you don't care for it then I would cut out Fes. I would spend majority of my time in South Morocco which encompasses Marrakech, the desert, Skoura and surrounding areas. Rabat was a capital city like every other city in the world. It is definitely beautiful and gave us Los Angeles feels with the beach.

All in all, we would love to go back to Morocco and use this company again.

Love love love! Do not skip this experience. The people make this camp. They are so kind, and hard working and they do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable. Remember it gets realllly cold at night. Your excursion from here to the nomads, camel rides, atv, berber village, garden, music performance at another tribe, nighttime music and "hangout" by the fire are all worth it. Remember it is a desert and they try their best to be eco friendly so you will have to be mindful not to be wasteful. You can charge your phone and small electronics and use them but NOT a hair dryer. Bring shoes that area easy to clean after being out in the sand and avoid walking on the carpets with them. Some people break up their night stay and do 1 - 2 nights in the tent and another night or two at the hotel nearby to be able to get their regular comforts and thorough showers in, use a hair dryer etc.

My favorite hotel in the entire trip because it was so personalized. It was small and intimate, romantic. Had avilability of all amenities. We did not use the pool or spa but love the garden and room. The room was beautiful and spacious. the tub in the bathroom drained too slow so water would stay stagnant while showering. The chef and food was so amazing. They accomadated my gluten free allergy and made me moroccan breads that were gluten free so I could experience true moroccan cuisine

Here are some thoughts about our recent trip to Morocco -

A good vacation in Morocco begins with your driver/guide and Samir was the BEST! He was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and was on call every minute until we departed. He was reliable (always on time) and a wonderful representative of Morocco. He told us about the country's history and culture and gave us his personal perspective, making it even more interesting. He is an amazing guy! We had some long days of driving - from Marrakesh to Essaouira to Casablanca to Fes to the desert to Boumaine Dades and back to Marrakesh - but they were wonderful. Morocco's topography and scenery are stunning and Samir's driving made us feel safe and in good hands. We laughed a lot and had some terrific discussions. Samir was the key ingredient to making our vacation a special one.

We started vacation planning with some general idea about where to go in Morocco but we needed lots of help. Emailing and texting with Ali was wonderful - he answered every question and gave us suggestions that we were better than the ones we had come up with. We even had a chat on WhatsApp. I can't believe how he transformed our original mixed-up plan into a smooth and well-organized journey.

One of the best things about going with a private driver is that you have control over timing - when to get started in the morning, when to stop, how long to stop, and flexibility about when to eat along the way. So much better than group tours we've been on. We had a chance to meet people during our two nights in the desert and at breakfast in our roads. Along the way, we had a nice encounter with a group of young girls at a pastry shop. Samir saw that they wanted to talk with us and made an impromptu introduction - it was lovely.

The riads! We loved them. They are generally small with around 10 rooms - ideal for the two of us, with no large tour groups to contend with. Breakfasts were abundant and delicious! The riads were utterly charming. Loved the style, staff, and beauty of the riads.

There is so much more to say but simply said Morocco was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! We couldn't have asked for more. One thing for sure - we will use KimKim again. The match they made for us with Original Travel in Morocco was perfect. Now we know we can trust their referrals and relax when we plan our next trip. It was sooooo easy. Here's to many more once-in-a-lifetime adventures.

Our review matches those of others - Tiziri Luxury Camp is AWSOME!!! The men who run the camp have perfected the art of welcoming new visitors and making them feel at home. The tents are wonderful - luxurious yet simple. It gets cold in the desert at night but the radiator and 20 lbs. of blankets kept us warm. The heating pads helped, too.

There was a terrible smell in the hallway, our ac didn't work correctly, the teapot was broken, and the service in the rooftop restaurant was very slow (more than 45 minutes to get our order), and the pizza was terrible. We loved Le Pelerin!!! This small riad is elegant and welcoming. Every detail is perfect. The style is a modern Moroccan with a sophisticated style. The staff were over-the-top great! I would highly recommend this riad to anyone. It is a sweet oasis in the chaos of Marrakesh. Breakfasts...terrific! Rooftop open for relaxing or a bite to eat. Finding the riad would be a challenge without the help of a driver/guide. Arrangements were made and the staff came to the main road and guided us back into the medina. Walking through the narrow alleyways was daunting for a first time Marrakesh visitor but the dark alley opened into a glowing gem of a riad. The surprise factor made it even more beautiful.

Our stay at Riad Chbanate was memorable - we would definitely stay there again!!! Its central location was great, making it easy to get around - down to the beach and for shopping. In contrast to the activity out of doors, the interior of the riad was calm and lovely. The rooms were very, very large with a swing in the center of the room (it was very comfortable :) The bathroom had a deep tub for soaking and was very separate from the bedroom. Breakfasts were huge and prepared to order. So delicious. We ate dinner in one evening and it was very romantic - roses, a wood-burning fireplace, candles, and excellent food. Loved this place!!!

This was my favorite riad because of the great food!!!! Dinner was a complete surprise - gourmet cooking in the middle of the Dades! The food was traditional but with a contemporary flare that made it amazing. I'd give the chef a 5-star rating!!! Even more for his ingenuity :) The style of the riad is interesting - it retains its authenticity but has a flare with modern elements. The terrace and the pool!!!! Beautiful in the setting of the mountains and greenery of the valley!!! The entry to the riad is simple, giving no hint of what is to come. The welcome of lemon tea was a lovely surprise...an elegant switch from the mint tea. I LOVE DAR RIHANA!!!

We scheduled a relatively last minute trip to Morocco. We were very happy to have an 8 day itinerary with just a few changes available to us from Kimkim. Before finalizing we appreciated the knowledge and opinions of Ali based on all of his experience so we didn't make any bad decisions. Our driver and van were fantastic. Samir made us feel safe and guided us throughout the many cities and stops along the way. It seemed like he knew everyone. Ali helped us plan the trip with all accommodations we asked for. Ali was very prompt, friendly and we got a plan exactly as we needed.

Right before the trip, we got confirmation on an emergency contact number and our driver. Everything happened smoothly in the trip- airport pickup, all accommodation bookings, handoffs to guides and back.

Our driver Soufiane was the epitome of punctuality and professionalism, always ready with a friendly smile. From the get-go, he had us feeling like old friends rather than passengers. With his expert driving skills and easy charm, he made sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey.

It wasn't just about getting from A to B with Soufiane; it was about the journey itself. Our time on the road was a blast, filled with great music and even better conversations. Soufiane's vibe made the whole experience ten times better.

Sharif, our guide in Fes was friendly, knowledgeable but we felt overwhelmed - should’ve kept an extra day for the medina.

Ismail, our guide in Dades valley, immediately made us feel at home. We loved the hike and especially the lunch with his very warm and beautiful family. He even went above and beyond to take us on a river walk after lunch!

Saeed, our guide in Marrakech, was also awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable and really fun!

Seriously, I am running out of adjectives. Just go with Original travels and you’ll have an amazing trip to Morocco!

Overall I am rating our Moroccan trip 4 Stars, and I’ll get to why a little later. We do have two five star reviews, one for our driver, guide, teacher and new found friend, Oussama ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ who made sure we had a proper introduction to the Moroccan people and their culture. The information he provided was essential to our enjoyment of the trip - he is terrific! If you are planning a trip to Morocco through KimKim and are going to need a car and driver, ask for Oussama specifically, you will be glad you did. Our other five star review is for our local guide in Fes who took us through both old and new cities Sharif ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He knows the Fes Medina like the back of his hand and is extremely knowledgeable about Fes and its history as well as all of Morocco’s history. We had a fascinating day with him, enjoying and learning from his stories. These two gentlemen reflect well upon their country and KinKim.
As for the overall 4 star rating, something unexpected, and unnecessarily so, happened upon our arrival in Tangier. Fortunately for us, our driver Oussama was able to handle the immediate situation with aplomb, but the larger situation, which needed addressing by senior KimKim personnel took 4 days to acceptably resolve. The resolution was appropriate but should not have taken longer than 24 hrs to resolve.
Our Tour was Tangier, then Chefchaouen, then Fes. It was a decent introduction to the beauty of Morocco, but we do wish we had more time and could have seen the dessert, Casablanca, Marrakesh, and Rabat also. Well, there’s always next time. And next time we will ensure we have Oussama ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ back as our driver.

Our driver Oussama ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ was great at showing us Tangier, which was our entrance to Morocco. He even went out of his way to make sure we got a camel ride, and to help me find some locations I needed for research on a former well-known person who had lived in Tangier. We also saw Hercules Cave, which was phenomenal and were left to our own devices to play in the Medina.

Quite unexpectedly on our drive from Chefchaouen to Fes we came upon the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. I had not been expecting this stop, and it was amazing! You can walk right into the ruins, with access to almost all of it - some if the original mosaic floors are roped off, but pretty much everything else is fair game to explore.

Ossama was our guide from Tangier to Chafchaouen to Fes. He was an outstanding travel professional. He was a very safe and conscientious driver, highly attentive to details, well-informed about each of our destinations, and with a great sense of humor. We also enjoyed the Fes tour provided by Sharif. He, too, was very attentive and well-informed, providing excellent insights into the local culture and history. We were very pleased with our Kim Kim Morocco experience!
