Visitors can start the day with a locally sourced breakfast, then unwind in the courtyard, cozy honesty bar, or rooftop terrace with neighborhood views.

Kimkim's Take

Pros
  • The design of this Seville boutique hotel is, in a word, maximalist. At every turn, you'll find patterned wallpaper, custom plush furnishings in saturated color, and bright azulejo tiles and Moorish details throughout.
  • You're staying in one of Seville's most energetic neighborhoods, known for live flamenco and ceramic workshops, so you'll have quick access to live performances and artisan shops, including the Triana Ceramics Center.
  • Major sights like the Seville Cathedral and the Royal Alcázar are within a 15-20 minute walk across the river, or catch the metro (a 6-minute walk) and ride a couple of stops.
  • The staff is known for being especially helpful with bookings, including flamenco shows, and always on hand to offer neighborhood tips.
  • Rooms feel upscale, with quality beds, Egyptian cotton linens, Marquina and Carrara marble bathrooms, and rainfall showers.
  • Upgrade to the Málaga guestroom for a private terrace, complete with tiled fountain and views that reach the Santa Ana Church.
  • It's a small property, but you'll have plenty of spaces to relax, including the bright inner courtyard, a sitting room, rooftop terrace, and honesty bar.
Cons
  • Breakfast is served in the basement at a pre-selected time. Like the rest of the boutique hotel, it's well designed, but feels dark without windows letting in natural light.
  • Rooms are on the smaller side, especially in the Standard category.
  • With so few rooms, preferred categories sell out quickly; you need to book well in advance.

Authenticity

Opened in 2023 by local owners who live next door, the seven-room property celebrates Andalusian identity through interiors inspired by each of the region's provinces (think nautical details for Cádiz, olive-grove references for Jaén, or traditional leatherwork nods to Córdoba). The design by renowned Sevillian interior designer Amaro Sánchez de Moya blends 1930s architecture, Art Deco influences, restored antiques, and Triana's famous ceramic tiles. Even breakfast reminds you of where you are, with local products and seasonal pastries like torrijaspestiños, and leche frita, tied to the city's Holy Week, on offer.

Location

Set in the historic riverside neighborhood of Triana, the hotel places you in one of Seville's most characterful districts, long associated with flamenco, pottery, and maritime history. You're on a quiet residential street, yet just a short walk from lively waterfront bars and restaurants with skyline views across the river. Santa Ana Church, one of the city's oldest, is around the block, while the Plaza de Cuba metro station grants quick access to major sights and is 6 minutes away on foot. You can also walk to Seville's cathedral and royal palace area in about 15-20 minutes via the San Telmo Bridge.

Rooms & Bathrooms

Seven guestrooms are spread across three floors, each named for an Andalusian province and artfully themed accordingly. There are four Standard Rooms, two larger Deluxe Rooms, and one Premium Room (Málaga) with a private terrace (and a fountain), overlooking Triana and the blue-and-white tiled bell tower of Santa Ana Church. Rooms are outfitted with handcrafted furnishings, restored antiques, patterned marble floors with radiant heating, climate control, Egyptian cotton linens, and luxury Vispring beds handmade in London. Bathrooms include rainfall showers and citrus-scented Penhaligon toiletries, while the Seville Deluxe Room is the hotel's only accessible bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Amenities

Triana House punches above its size when it comes to thoughtful extras. You'll have access to several inviting common spaces, including a rooftop terrace, an interior courtyard, a cozy sitting room, and an honesty-style basement bar stocked with drinks and snacks (for a small upfront fee). Breakfast, served in the basement, is made to order, with eggs, toasted breads, fresh juice, fruit, and rotating pastries. Concierge service is especially strong for a small property; the team can arrange transfers, restaurant bookings, flamenco tickets, and insider recommendations through their custom neighborhood guide.

Family-Friendliness

Not suited for families; room layouts are designed for two adults, and the boutique scale means there are no family suites or kid-focused facilities.

Sustainability

Triana House is the first Passivhaus-certified hotel in southern Spain, built to one of the world's strictest energy-efficiency standards. Features include airtight construction for comfort and noise reduction, 24-hour filtered fresh-air ventilation, solar panels, and aerothermal systems for hot water. The result is a property that reportedly uses up to 90% less energy for climate control than a conventional hotel of similar size while maintaining excellent indoor comfort year-round.

The small boutique guesthouse manages to be both modern and clean while maintaining the charm of the beautiful city. Each room is named after a province of Andalusia and the decor is individual to that region. There are several central areas to enjoy, including a cozy self-service bar in the basement. The room itself is on the smaller side but we had everything we needed. There was a great breakfast spread with fresh bread and eggs to order. The staff were very helpful and provided great recommendations around the city. They also booked a flamenco show for us in the neighborhood.
