Hotel Kivir, Seville

Comfort
Modern hotel across the canal from Triana with a rooftop terrace overlooking the water

Overview

As a contemporary hotel, Hotel Kivir Sevilla offers modern rooms with a beautiful view of the city from its rooftop terrace. You'll be within walking distance to the major sites but can also enjoy exploring the waterfront or crossing the canal to peruse Triana's mix of artisan crafts, gastronomy, and Flamenco. The hotel serves its daily breakfast on the rooftop terrace, featuring incredible city views and an outdoor pool.

Pros
  • Most hotels set their sights on the historic center, but this one offers a slightly different location on the waterfront. However, it's still walkable to sites like the Catedral de Seville, Royal Alcázar, and Plaza de España.
  • The Fluvial Restaurant on the ground floor has a refined dining area, a six-dish tasting menu, and an extensive wine selection.
  • Enjoy breakfast on the rooftop terrace with views of the Triana neighborhood across the canal.
  • The rooftop terrace also hosts a bar serving light snacks and an outdoor pool.
  • Some rooms have water views and/or private terraces with lounge furniture.
Cons
  • The rooms don't have a lot of character and feel like a typical hotel, and some of the standard options seem slightly outdated.

Authenticity

Hotel Kivir Sevilla is a contemporary accommodation without much history, but what adds to its authenticity is the location just across from Triana via the 19th-century Puente de Triana. This neighborhood intrigues visitors with its artisan crafts, gastronomy, and Flamenco, offering a more genuine experience.

Location

You'll be just across the street from Rafael Montesinos Garden and the waterfront, connecting to a walkway following the canal. You can also easily cross the Puente de Triana and check out the neighborhood's markets and craft stores. A few minutes away by foot is the Plaza de Toros and Tablao Flamenco El Patio Sevillano, and you can still walk to the Catedral de Seville, Royal Alcázar, and Plaza de España.

Rooms & Bathrooms

As a more contemporary hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are a little plain and don't have much character, as in anything connecting you to Seville. Still, they're modern and comfortable, with some offering water views and/or private terraces with furniture.

Other Highlights

One perk we love about this hotel is the daily breakfast, which takes place on the rooftop terrace, so you can start your day with views of Triana and the canal. In the afternoons, the space turns into a bar serving light snacks and drinks, though you can swim in the outdoor pool in the morning. To get a well-rounded gastronomic experience, try the six-dish tasting menu at the hotel's Fluvial Restaurant.
