“We only have such a short time we want to see as much as we can. We would love to do a glacier walk. We haven't got anything in mind as a definite to do list. We would like to hear from some experts! Seeing the fjords I guess, we want to see some spectacular Norwegian scenery!
Our children are 9, 7 and 5.
We are also flexible on driving or rail/bus”

Summary of the trip planning conversation
Hey Tracey, that's a great idea to do an eight day trip with the family and its my pleasure to help you with that.
We tend to develop custom tailored trips so you are at the right place. We can suggest and eventually book your hotels and experiences.
Norway can be a great learning experience for the children apart from just sightseeing, and if this interests you, do let me know...
Hi I really like the plan but I made an error on our arrival date. We arrive on the 18th at 12.30, not the 17th. Sorry for the inconvenience. We fly out from Oslo to London on the evening of the (17:25), but I guess we should be able to fly or catch a train back to Oslo from Bergen.
Great to hear that you liked the plan! It is not a problem that you arrive on the 18th instead. Do you still depart on the 24th or will that be on the 25th? As you take the train to Bergen, I suggest that you fly back to Oslo Gardermoen. That will also save you a bit of time! You can get flights from around 60 USD...
Do you have any preferences on the standard of your accommodation?
I am open to any suggestions also!
So I will suggest some changes on your itinerary...
From Oslo take the train to Geilo. Stay two nights in a traditional Norwegian cabin! Really nice and exciting for the kids.
Geilo is also a perfect mountain destination for kids. Take a look here for activities: https://www.geiloholiday.no/en/summer
One night by the fjord, including a fjordcruise to a goat farm (including a hike)
Then to Bergen for the last two nights.
Then you get to experience our two main cities, the mountains and the fjords!
Let me know what you think!
