Ingrid and Vilde were very responsive and kind in the trip planning and I enjoyed the KimKim platform. I was hoping the itinerary would help my group make the most of our time in Norway- but unfortunately the itinerary didn’t achieve that. Our first full day in a location put us in Ålesund on a Sunday when everything was closed. A few museums were open from 12-4 but it made for a long day waiting for the Hurtigruten in our hotel lobby until 1am. I would have expected recommendations on tours to book in advance or thoughtfulness to what is open. I was really looking forward to the Hurtigruten- but found that the view wasn’t very good and our ticket didn’t include lunch. Stranding us as bored captives until 2pm. We didn’t accommodate any fjord cruises or boat trips thinking this would be a cool experience and I feel like we really missed out. This itinerary was a big splurge for us and I thought it would be worth it and we would get local insight to the best things to see in country. We would have been better off just flying into Bergen and booking ourselves a few days in the fjords.

My wife and I joined two tours in Korcula, Croatia with Rachael and John. One a guided walk through an old town called Znovo followed by an amazing dinner with Frank and his family. The second was a cycling and wine tasting tour which involved cycling from Korcula through the
Lumbarda countryside and stopping at two venues for wine tasting and snacks.

Both were well organised and most enjoyable. Sue and I can highly recommend both tours.

From start to finish, this was an incredible experience. Trip planning was super easy. Trekking was super hard and completely worth it. Our guide, Rolfi, was fantastic, the food was fantastic (thanks to Edgar), the landscapes and people are fantastic.

We had an amazing trip. We went horseback riding on the beach, we visited the secret lagoon, saw amazing waterfalls, went on a lava cave tour, went on the sushi boat tour and the blue lagoon. Everything worked out perfectly, not one snag. So happy we did this :)

My husband and I went on a trip to Norway organized by Elina in March this year. Start to finish it was a truly perfect trip. Our first three days were spent at Malangen, an absolutely lovely, modern hotel with breathtaking views of a fjord. The staff at Malangen was extremely helpful and friendly and there were wonderful activities to choose from. We snowshoed, went to a campsite owned by the hotel to see the Northern Lights and had a fascinating session with someone who taught us about Sami culture.

After Malangen, we went to Tromso. A charming small city where we went to museums and restaurants. We also had a driver pick us up and give us a tour of the fjords.

Every aspect of the trip went incredibly smoothly. Their was one glitch when checking into our hotel in Tromso, but Elina was reachable immediately and resolved the issue. Moreover, she was prepared to spend 6 hours driving if she needed to address the issue in person! Thank you Elina!

We can't say enough good things about the KimKim experience. We traveled as a family of four with 19 and 16 year old son and daughter and this was our first trip to Europe. Planning the trip with Ante was very easy. He provided several example itineraries which we were then able to adjust to fit our preferences. We were able to meet him when we were in Split, having coffee before leaving for Hvar. He was genuinely interested in us having a good experience. What made the trip so special was the local people Ante set us up with, from the drivers, to the apartment hosts, to the guides; every single one of them was exceptional. I might not get all the names correctly, but it's worth trying. Antonia, our guide in Plitvice Lakes park was great. The park is very crowded and she was able to get us around many of the long lines the visitors were stuck in. Diana and Christian, our apartment hosts and Sea Kayaking guide in Hvar were awesome. The Apartment was perfect, clean, comfortable, with a nice terrace. Daria, our hiking guide to the Lost Villages was absolutely the best. The hike and the lunch we had in Malo Grablje was a highlight of our entire trip. We hated to have to say goodbye to Daria. The apartment in Dubrovnik, and our host Octavia, were also excellent. The apartment was located a short walk outside the old walled city, and had a beautiful terrace, with a small pool. We went sea kayaking around Lokrum island outside the old city walls. Luksa, our guide was really great. There are many large kayaking groups with commercial guides. Luksa was our own personal guide, and made it a point to avoid the other large groups, and educate us on Dubrovnik's history. It's worth mentioning that the drivers, both to Plitvice Lake and the transfers in Dubrovnik were also first rate. They were on time, professional, and very personable. Overall, the trip felt like we were visiting with family friends. I would absolutely recommend planning your trip with Ante. We will definetly be using Kim Kim to plan our next adventure.

Overall, we would rate Linda & Ingrid's trip planning and travel services for our trip to Norway as 5 Star. They did a lot of work behind the scenes to make our vacation a smooth, seamless event. We made a very customized travel plan and they demonstrated considerable patience and much effort to accomplish our goals. Without their help and inside knowledge of Norway, we would surely have experienced a great deal of trouble, especially with the transportation.

The most memorable portion of our trip was our visit to Alesund and the Hjorundfjord & Grirangerfjord fjords. The Sagafjord Hotel in Saebo was outstanding.

Miha was excellent to work with in planning our adventures thoughout Slovenia. Ljubljana is a fun city with great restaurants and shops, night street music, and market with plenty of food options, crafts, and farm fresh items. When we left the city we headed for a meadow hike-Velika Planina and were delighted to reach a small village that offered homemade cheeses and sausages. Our hotels were all very comfortable, with wonderful breakfast buffets. we enjoyed all the towns we visisted...Logarska, .Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Bovec, Medina wine country, and seacoast town of Piran. We had great fishing guides, appreciated Miha"s recommendations for hikes, castles/forts, and bike rides.

James did an awesome job. Due to bad weather conditions, we had to change to a different route and he met all my needs. The Choquequirao Trek was beautiful, my guide Noé was fit, knowledgeable and always in a good mood. The equipment was brand new and well suited for the trek. I was able to get a special diet during the trek and the food tasted very good. The cook and horseman worked really hard! I thank James for this five star experience in the Andes!

We were particularly happy with our driver, Sandalal. Our 23-day tour from north to south covered a range of cultural, religious, archeological and natural sites and with Sandalal’s knowledge of his country we were able to visit even more than was outlined in the itinerary. Sri Lanka is a truly wonderful experience. Its people and their delicious food enhanced our three weeks even further.

Chaminda was our excellent Tour Guide with Atullah the Coach Driver & Sushi the Luggage/spare driver assistant. They were a top team that just got better & better every day of our intensive tour. Chaminda in particular led the way with a passion for everything about Sri Lanka. His knowledge was v wide & informative & could answer any query !! He couldn't do enough for us often going to a lot of trouble to make sure stays at hotels etc were the best they could be. All of us will recommend him to anyone we know who'll visit Sri Lanka in the future as we'll be confident they'll be so well looked after by Chaminda.
Brief precis of highlights; Galle Fort & history that set the scene for understanding recent Sri Lankan settlement history. Then because a couple of us had heard about Horseshoe Bay on the way to Yalla Nat Park, the Coach stopped there for a couple of hours. Stunning surf/beach setting.........just idyllic & one of us surfed & another swam out to enjoy a beaut swim. We all liked Ella v much + trek up Little Adams Peak. After that, a short walk to nine arches railway bridge was stunning where we watched train go over. V nice stay at Mountain Heaven too. Sigiriya Rock an outstanding visit. Spent a while there & at the summit. Afterwards a lunch put on by Villagers near a lake in their humble place was a real highlight. At least 8 ethnic dishes cooked over open fire & mostly prepared in front of us, that were delicious.........all of us declared best Sri Lankan meal by far !! Dambulla was good with the Cave Temples. While in Kandy went to an excellent Cultural show in a local hall prior to the Perahara Festival that night. Visit to the Tooth Relic Temple as well as watching all the elephants in the surrounds was great. Visit to Polonnaruwa was good even though v v hot !! Chaminda knew the history so well. We wanted to go to the Pilliwarra Elephant orphanage as a side trip & what a terrific occasion that was !! 3 of us drew tickets to bottle feed elephants, watched up to 40 elephants in river, then they all walked freely right past us in the access lane back to enclosures. Breathtaking !! Finally a drive around Colombo at finish excellent with a stay at Mandarina just beaut.....................best pool ever too on rooftop !!

We had a busy visit to Colombia and just time for a day's birding from Medellin. We were put in touch with Juan Ortiz who was great. He made some great suggestions but told us frankly what was going to work with our flights, and what no. In the end we went birding in two parks above Medellin with Ivan Lau. It was a great day, we saw 50 different species of bird and Ivan was incredibly knowledgeable and patient.

What especially impressed me is that Juan and Ivan offered us more experiences than we had the time or energy for, all including in the price. They are real enthusiasts. And I learned a lot about the culture and history of Venezuela and Colombia during the day.

Guarav is amazing. He listened to what we wanted and put together a trip that was exactly what we asked for and much more. When any problems arose, he immediately responded and took care of them. He was always available to us. We loved listening to the monks chanting at the Dalai Lama's temple in Dharamshala. We enjoyed the beauty of sunrise over the Ganges in Varanasi. We explored the temples in Bodhgaya and the ruins in Sarnath. It was all the more interesting to hear Guarav speak of his life and the daily lives of the people we saw in this part of India. It was a fascinating adventure.

My husband and I returned from the Norwegian Highlights trip which was organized by Ingrid. Everything was perfect. Ingrid took the time to talk me thru the entire trip before we left which was great since I was a little nervous. Also, every stop we made, we were expected at. What I mean is everyone knew the Johansen's were due to arrive and welcomed us. All reservations Ingrid made went smoothly. It was very nice to have all that done and not have any problems. I would highly recommend Ingrid for anyone planning a trip to Norway.

We had an amazing trip, all of our guides made us feel welcome and our experience will be lasting forever. I will highly recommend your services to my friends and will also engage your services again on another trip to South America. The price was right and the level of accommodation was perfect for the trip. Maybe a tent each would of been a little better after a long days hike. We also enjoyed the company of the photo crew, they were amazing. We were promised a copy of the photos and film of the trip, but have not received this. Thank you for your services on behalf of our group.

We had a great trek in Nepal- we did a 6 day comfort Poonhill trek- and as it was monsoon season we had the mountains more or less for ourselves! Marie was super helpful with advise and helping us choose our trek. Our guide Daewon and porter was also super sweet. Would totally recommend!

Our 2 main guides Akkar and Nye Nye were amazing: professional, funny, accommodating. And they truly made our experiences so perfect. We found Myanmar magical. Loved going by e-bike through the pagodas. Akkar got us a romantic horse and carriage ride through the pagodas the first night and had recommended the restaurant Moon which was delicious. Nye nye was a total joy to be with. We particularly loved going to his village on Inle Lake, eating lunch at his family’s house and getting a tour of the village by dug our canoe with he and his Mum. Loved it all

Halldor did a great job organizing our vacation. We especially liked the first 2 days north of Reykjavík (the Snaefellus area) as there were very few tourists. We liked the hotels except the one in Reykjavik. The Blue Lagoon was fun and we liked the horse back riding. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations they were very good. We enjoyed the black sand beaches and all of the water falls.

Our three days touring the Athens area was wonderful. Our guides and drivers did a fantastic job fulfilling our wishes. Elias, Dominik and Denai were professional, friendly, flexible and, above all, knowledgeable! And Tasos developed a great itinerary after understanding what we wanted to accomplish during our time. Our main driver, Nick, was also excellent, safe and reliable. We toured three archeological sites, Mycenae, Corinth and Eleusis. We also toured two wineries in Nemea, which were both wonderful. And we spent time in the wonderful seaside town of Nafplio. Finally, we went to Athens for one day and toured the Acropolis Museum with Denai, our wonderful guide. It was a memorable trip, which was made more enjoyable by your efforts. Thank you! We will definitely book another trip with KimKim.
