The city's energetic buzz is at your doorstep, and you can easily walk to all the sites in the Albaicín neighborhood, plus the Catedral de Granada and Alhambra Palace.
This standard hotel is a renovated 16th-century house with preserved elements, like its inner courtyard and wooden balconies. The cozy lounge in the courtyard is the perfect place to relax when needing a break from sightseeing. It offers stone floors and seating, plus it connects to one of the city's best specialty coffee bars, which also serves breakfast.
Rooms are spacious and charming, especially the suites, which offer seating areas, large windows, and beautiful views of the Alhambra. Palacio de Santa Inés gives you a quiet option in the buzz of the Albaicín. The hotel used two 16th-century Mudejar buildings to create its space, and you'll notice several preserved elements, including wooden terraces in its traditional inner courtyard. The top-floor lounge is definitely a highlight, as it features comfy sofas and a vaulted glass ceiling, so you get those perfect Alhambra views. There's also a simple breakfast buffet that transforms into a bar in the afternoons.
The hotel's architecture is stunning, but the rooms feel a little left behind, especially the standard category. We recommended booking early to secure an upgraded room or suite on the top floor with views of the Alhambra (some with private enclosed terraces). Bathrooms follow the simplicity but are bright and modern. You might like the family rooms with lofted sleeping areas if you're traveling with older kids.
The hotel feels tucked away with its own little square in the Albaicín, though just about one block from the busy Carrera del Darro. You can easily walk to all the city's main sites, including the Catedral de Granada and the Alhambra, plus enjoy all that there's to see in the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighborhoods.

You'll enter the hotel through a brick archway and wooden door and enjoy features like Tuscan and Roman columns with Corinth (Greek) adornments, Arabic chromium-plated beams, and Renaissance-era wooden ceilings.
Rooms are simple but maintain a few historic elements, like wood-beamed ceilings, tiled floors, and iron bed frames. Most have windows overlooking the inner courtyard, so opt for a superior room for more space and natural light, and families can book rooms with three or four twin beds. Bathrooms are just as simple as the room, yet clean and functional.
The location and building history are the hotel's biggest appeals. You'll be right in the Albaicín neighborhood and within walking distance of sites like Iglesia de San Gil y Santa Ana, the Alhambra, the cathedral, and the Darro River walkway. As an additional perk, you can also enjoy a decent breakfast buffet and relax in the inner courtyard.
