We went to our first trip to Morocco and it was a blast. We planned it very late with near a week’s notice — and Kimkim did a great job of organizing it.
Riad in Fes was right in the old town and was a lovely experience. Their breakfast was awesome!
Glamping in Sahara was the clear highlight of the trip — the sand dunes, the camel ride, sunrise and sunset.
Marrakech was a rich city with culture and class. The hotel in Marrakech (Kenzi Garden) was comfy even if not a Riad. A special mention about Rashid our guide who was super-enthusiastic about everything Marrakech and quite funny to boot.
Air-Bin-Haddou was a good spot as well — wish we hadn’t stopped overnight there. It wasn’t a great hotel — and we could have spent an extra day in Marrakech.

The guide in Fes wasn’t great — she was patronizing and we had the feeling that we were constantly being sold to (in the shops we were taken to) and sold against (she kept talking about the Riad folks are bad and that they’d sell us stuff, when they were actually very nice)…

Overall, it was a very memorable trip — thanks for organizing this at short notice.

Our 9-Day Morocco Trip with KimKim Travel and MOBT Global

The planning phase of the trip was exceptional. Yassine, our travel specialist at KimKim, was incredibly helpful in tailoring our itinerary to match our interests. He was responsive, offered great advice on what to see and do, and ensured we had the right balance of cultural exploration, relaxation, and adventure. From the bustling streets of Marrakesh to the serene blue of Chefchaouen, every destination was carefully chosen to give us a well-rounded experience of Morocco. The biggest highlight was spending Christmas Eve riding camels and camping in the Sahara Desert—WOW, what an experience! Our only wish is that we had more time to fully soak it all in.

Our Driver: Souifiane
A huge highlight of our trip was our driver, Souifiane. For 9 days, he was with us every step of the way, making sure we were comfortable, informed, and safe as we traveled across Morocco. Souifiane was not just a driver, but a guide in his own right—his knowledge of Morocco’s culture, history, and hidden gems made the trip even more enriching. Whether we were navigating the winding streets of Fes or cruising through the desert, he was always punctual, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to make our experience better. This included his recommendation for a Hammam spa—an unforgettable experience that will never be repeated.

The Destinations
• Marrakesh: The vibrant heart of Morocco, Marrakesh was the perfect start to our trip. From the souks of the Medina to the majestic Jardin Majorelle, we explored the city's lively markets, historical palaces, and stunning gardens. The energy of this city is electric, and we loved every moment of it.
• Ouarzazate: Known as the "Gateway to the Sahara," Ouarzazate offered a glimpse into Morocco's cinematic history. The Atlas Film Studios were a highlight, and the nearby Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was a spectacular stop—straight out of a film set.
• Merzouga: No trip to Morocco would be complete without visiting the Sahara Desert. Riding camels into the dunes of Merzouga at sunset was an unforgettable experience. We spent the night in a desert camp under the stars, which was absolutely magical. The silence and beauty of the desert were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.
• Fes: Fes was an intriguing mix of old and new. The labyrinthine Medina was a maze of ancient history, with vibrant artisan workshops, centuries-old mosques, and the famous tanneries. It was a fascinating place to dive deep into Morocco’s cultural heritage.
• Chefchaouen: The "Blue City" was a highlight of the trip. Walking through its narrow streets lined with blue-washed buildings felt like stepping into a dream. The tranquility of the town, combined with its picturesque setting in the Rif Mountains, made it a perfect place to relax and explore.
• Casablanca: Our final stop, Casablanca, offered a contrast to the other cities—modern, cosmopolitan, and bustling. The Hassan II Mosque, perched on the edge of the Atlantic, was an awe-inspiring sight and a perfect way to cap off our trip.

Overall, this trip to Morocco exceeded all my expectations. The seamless coordination with Yassine and the excellent service provided by Souifiane made everything easy and stress-free. The country itself is mesmerizing, with a rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and incredibly warm people. I highly recommend KimKim Travel for anyone looking to explore Morocco in a truly personalized and immersive way.

Driver Hicham was really great. Was a pleasure.

Didn't really want to do the cooking school but it was also really good, espeically the lady who ran the class, Souad.

Would have been useful to know that the Riad for New Year's Eve was dry, hence no NY Champagne available. Not personally that concerned but imagine if we were French and were denied a glass of wine at New Year ;)

You were right that 2 hours is sufficient in Chefchaouen!

We had a fantastic trip to Morocco, planned with Megan from kimkim. She took into account our accommodation needs, and preferences for proximity to the medinas. She even accommodated a last minute change as we arrived a day earlier, and booked the accommodation, car and driver for that day too. It was a truly unforgettable experience in a wonderful country with friendly and beautiful people.

Our driver, Ahmad picked us up from the airport in Casablanca and drove us to Rabat, which was our first stop. He was very friendly, spoke great English, and was a calm and patient driver which was much appreciated. Could not have asked for a better driver.

Rabat was a great start as it’s clean, and the Medina is manageable on your own. The kasbah is beautiful too and easy to explore.

Next was Chef Chaouen where we explored the blue city with a guide Hazim. He was friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable too.

We stopped in the Agafay desert, which was a unique experience, for a night, and carried onto Marrakech, where we had a guide Ezam for the food tour and also through the very large Medina. He was great and took into account our vegetarian needs.

Last stop was Casablanca. Overall a very well planned trip, with great service. Thank you!

Our driver and trip manager, Khalid, was awesome. He provided superior service for 10 days and always had a smile. We enjoyed all of our guides but our favorites were Mohammed at Ait Ben-Haddou and Jamal in Fes.

We had a great time with our driver Rashid from the time he picked us up at the airport to the time he dropped us off, as he was always there for us.

We enjoyed the personal attention that he gave us. He was flexible, accommodating to our needs, and also guided us when needed.

Our guide, Miriam in Fez did an amazing job with her all day tour with us.

The glamping stay we had in the Sahara desert was definitely a highlight.

My daughter and I took a 10-day trip to Morocco during the winter holidays 2024. We had the most amazing experience of lifetime with Reda, who was our driver and a guide all through our stay. Reda was very reliable, trustworthy, friendly, flexible, patient and hard-working. He took care of every small details for us from the time we landed in Casablanca and all the way through our entire trip which included Marrakesh, Ait Binhoddouch, Marguza desert, Fes, Chefchaouen, Tangier, Rabat and then back to Casablanca.

He was very punctual, flexible and went out of his way to take care of us - show us the best places around for shopping, eating and sight seeing. He stopped at every panoramic view points along the way. He escorted us all through the 10-days to a point where I did not even have to open the door of the car myself to get on and off. He even got me an extra bag to pack all my extra shopping items and even helped with packing.

Our experience in Morocco was exceptional. Hakim did an amazing job finding us the right hotels and sites to visit. Rabat - Wish we had a full day here to explore
Chefchaouen- The blue city was gorgeous, wish we had more than 24 hours here to explore. We stayed at the Lina Ryad and Spa; the inside pool was incredible! Such a gorgeous place to stay. Be sure to call ahead if you are interested in receiving a spa treatment.
Fez - Riad Farouzi Fez was the most beautiful riad and telework I have ever seen! We especially loved Badar who works at the hotel! KimKim should hire him ASAP! Our tour guide Sayed was so knowledgeable and relatable, the tour would’ve been overwhelming without him.
Merida Sahara - AMAZING! We rode camels into the camp and took a 4x4 on the way out. Such a gorgeous Riad that looked like an anthroplogie catalog - Riad Madu Premium Camp is highly recommended! Again, wish we stayed another day.
Valley of the Roses (Boumalne Dades) - Relaxing and enjoyed time meeting with the locals. An authentic experience. Michelle and Hussein’s Kazbah Tiziri is so beautiful, I want to come back in the summer or spring to use the pool and eat and read in the garden. My family and I learned so much from Michelle, she is an incredible woman, host, and cook!
Marrakech- The most modern feel of all the cities. Our tour guide Amnay was amazing, and a local musician! He showed us exactly what we were interested in, and was so helpful and patient while we shopped. He is a great asset to kimkim! Riad Diamond of Marrakech was gorgeous. As beautiful tile work as Fes and Chefchaouen, and the perfect location to walk to the sites, restaurants, and bars of Marrakech.

We spent an *extraordinary* 10 days in Morocco organized by Kimkim through Original Travels in Marrakech. We landed in Casablanca, then drove with our *fantastic* personal driver Tayebb to Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fez, Merzouga, Skoura, ending in Marrakesh. At every stop, we had a local personal tour guide to share the location’s history and take us on the appropriate outings/ activities. Tayebb was extraordinary company and just a great human being in every way. He was very knowledgeable, interesting, warm, and had a great sense of humor! We looked forward to seeing him every day — he felt like family by the end! Our local organizer, Saïd, was extremely responsive to our requests and at times seemed to anticipate our needs in advance! Overall, Kimkim via Original Travels both planned and executed a beautiful, memorable vacation of a lifetime!

Driver Rashid was very friendly and Fez guide Miriam was amazing . Hotels were good / no delays and all went smooth. A friend got hurt and we were givrn amazing help by Mohammad driver in the desert. Helpful Feedback I can share for future travel planning is that we wish we were shown the main market square in Marrakech where snake charmers etc were there (we were taken close but not exactly there) . Also timings of travel in the itinerary are not accurate - fez to Marrakech took almost double the time . Wish we were told about flight options . Overall had a great time. We did a 10-day circular tour of Morocco via KimKim as planned and booked by Majid. It was an amazing experience to see the VAST beauty of the country and experience the hospitality of the people. Ismail, our driver, performed an outstanding job, driving what seemed like endless hours, all over the country, and brought us safely and in one piece to our intended destinations. Besides, the amazing views, Ismail was also a highlight of the trip, with his professional service and local knowledge; his humor was well appreciated, but his taste for music in the van, perhaps needs to be adjusted. Overall, we really enjoyed the trip, but looking back at the number of hours on the road, we perhaps would have liked to have been given some options. We just never thought Morocco was so vast, but the changing landscapes were amazing and certain made for some amazing photo opportunities. The blue city was awesome with its tight alleyways and shopping, but it was certainly the trek and camel ride across the desert and the camping in the desert that were the top highlights that will stay happy and long in our hearts and minds. My friends were literally blown away by the stars that they saw that night in the desert. The accommodation in the desert was also one of the best and it was greatly beyond our expectations. The other accommodations in the tour need some reviewing: access to the hotels were very limited, some of the rooms were awkwardly laid out, some with washrooms but without doors, or showers that sat behind the bed, but worst was that some did not offer enough drinking waters in the room and told us to buy our own water? Certainly, nowhere near the service we expected. Better hotel choices would have made the trip 10 out of 10. Finally, the dinner at a local home at Fes, was the best Morocco meal we tasted. The granny who cooked us that fabulous dinner will stay in our heart for a very long time. p.s. it was too bad that we did not get to meet Majid himself, and some of the other local tour guides can perhaps lighten up on the local history which were too too long and took away the time to explore the sites.

Fes immersed us in history with its UNESCO-listed medina. Navigating the labyrinthine alleys, we watched skilled artisans work in the tanneries and crafts quarters. The sensory overload of spices, leather, and metalwork created an unforgettable atmosphere.
The journey's highlight was undoubtedly Merzouga and the Sahara Desert. Riding ATVs across towering sand dunes delivered pure adrenaline-pumping excitement. The golden dunes stretched endlessly, creating a surreal landscape that felt otherworldly. Hassan's expert navigation through the desert roads made this remote adventure possible.
Marrakech provided the perfect finale. The famous Djemaa el-Fna square pulsed with energy as snake charmers, storytellers, and food vendors created a carnival-like atmosphere. A food tour revealed the depths of Moroccan cuisine, from tender tagines to delicate pastries.
The aerial adventures in Marrakech – hot air ballooning at sunrise and paragliding over the landscape – offered breathtaking perspectives of the Red City and Atlas Mountains. Watching the morning light paint the city gold while floating silently overhead was simply magical.
Throughout our journey, Hassan's professionalism, friendly demeanor, and deep understanding of Morocco's culture and geography enhanced every aspect of our trip. His careful planning and flexible approach ensured we could fully immerse ourselves in each experience while maintaining a comfortable pace. We had an amazing time on our 9-day trip exploring all the major highlights of Morocco!
