This is not a five star hotel. It is currently under renovation/construction and should be avoided at all costs. I would also not recommend this location for African or African American and non-Arab non-European presenting travelers.

This is a lovely hotel with amazing views and helpful courteous staff. The breakfast is also delicious and the rooms are nice. Things to be mindful of, this is a dry hotel, so there is no bar. There are a lot of stairs and so no appropriate for folks who cannot climb several flights of stairs.

Great room. It is out of the city but if you want a modern place with a lovely rooftop then this is a good choice. The pool area is lovely. The bar was closed due to Eid but is supposed to be great. Room was very clean and modern. This is a good choice if you need a break from staying inside the Medinas or Riads.

Excellent experience with great hosts. The camp was beautiful and had a pool (must have for the summer) the workers did a great job of arranging food, drinks and generally making us feel safe and entertained.

We've stayed at Four Seasons all over the world. This location maintains Four Seasons well-deserved reputation for excellent service, beautiful rooms and grounds, and delicious on-site dining.

It's a LONG journey to get here-- but when you're riding a camel off into the Sahara dunes and coming back to dinner and a fireside performance, it's all worth it!

While the rooms are 3 stars (clean, but relatively small), what really sets this property apart are its beautiful gardens and grounds and the views of the valley. Don't miss the chance to explore the mosque, hammam and bakery in the buildings next door .

This was the perfect activity for our first night in Marrakech. Dinner was absolutely delicious and our kids enjoyed the chance to talk with the young son of the family who prepared our meal.

This place was cool, but we could probably have skipped it in favor of more time exploring other parts of Marrakech. A little too 'instagrammy' for our tastes.

Great experience walking through the markets with multiple stops to try soup, snails, olives, bread, tagine and fresh juice.

We loved the view from our bedroom overlooking the city. The host was helpful and very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.

This was an oasis high in the mountains and we loved it! Our room had the largest bathtub in it that I’ve ever seen! And after hiking in the Atlas Mountains, we totally enjoyed our soak! The view from our bedroom overlooking the mountains was magnificent. The food the cook made for our dinners was some of the best food we ate in Morocco. We throughly enjoyed our stay there!

Beautiful tile and lovely room

Very nice and comfortable with caring helpful staff. I got very sick with traveling stomach bug and they brought me tea and herbs to help with my recovery. They went over and beyond making sure I was well cared for. It was quite and tucked away in a nice spot.

This gem of a hotel was right on the water with a beautiful view of the ocean and the waves bouncing off the rocks. It was beautiful and the view from our bedroom breathtaking! Staff was nice and friendly.

This Riad was beautiful and very comfortable. The service was excellent. We felt very safe and taken care of by the host. The breakfast was great and when we wanted extra coffee in our room they provided it. Every request was immediately taken care of. The location was right near the Medina and a delicious restaurant.

We got picked up by Majid and our driver. It was great to have Majid because our driver spoke French but almost no English

We loved being led through the Medina smelling all the local food and seeing the city in action. It was a fascinating tour. Our guide stopped and bought food for us to taste in several places. He was well informed and very friendly and knowledgeable.

Spending the afternoon and evening with this delightful family was one of the highlights of our trip! I can’t say enough good things about our time together. We left there feeling like we were leaving our friends! The shopping experience, cooking, eating and later our henna party all were so much fun! The food was fabulous!

We loved this delightful city with its beautiful blue buildings and all the stairs!

We didn’t go on the hike to the waterfall.. instead they said we were going to a bridge. The path was very difficult going across slippery rocks and slipping into the stream. My husband turned around but instead of having him stay at a place near the water, the guide ushered him all the way back to a restaurant where they failed to give him lunch. 3 of us chose to wait by a restaurant for the 4 who went all the way. I was stressed because I knew my husband had gone back and was alone. The communication on this outing was not good and it was very stressful.

The location was great and the outside pool/dining area nice. It was cool to see all the old architecture. But it seemed old and bathroom was just ok. Seemed more like a 3-4 star not 5 star by USA standards. You will have to stroll your luggage thru the city to get there- about a 5 min walk as no cars allowed.

Such a beautiful hotel. The rooms are on the small side but the whole hotel is gorgeous. The pool area and the views were just amazing.

Everything was great. Hard to imagine it was in the middle of desert. The rooms / tents were big and bathrooms good. The whole experience was great.

The Mövenpick Hotel in Casablanca was super nice. The rooms were really big and more like what we're used to in American hotels. It might have been a bit more than we needed for just one night, but it was a very comfortable stay.

Our stay at Dar Lys was incredible. From the moment we walked in, greeted by the scent of orange blossoms and the sight of parrots, we felt welcome. The room setup was perfect, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast was delightful, and the massages my daughter and I had were among the best we've ever experienced. The downtime they scheduled for us was much appreciated, allowing us to recover from our travels. This riad set a high standard for the rest of our trip.

The tour of the Hassan II Mosque was great. The guide kept us on time, and the experience was smooth and well-organized. The mosque itself is stunning and definitely worth the visit.

The dinner at the Moroccan home was okay. The family was hospitable, and the food was fine, but the experience felt a bit awkward. It was interesting but not something I would want to repeat multiple times.

The journey from Fez to the Sahara Desert was long but surprisingly pleasant. Our driver was excellent, making regular stops for us to stretch and use clean bathrooms. We had a great time at the stops, especially at the Alps-like area and where we saw monkeys. One of the lunch stops was not the best, as it seemed overrun with tour buses and wasn't very clean, but it was probably the best option available in that remote area.

The tour guide in Fez was exceptional. He took us on a fascinating journey through the ancient city, and we even had a tea experience that was quite delightful. Although the lunch part of the tour was a bit confusing, as we weren't sure if it was included or not, we decided not to have lunch since we were still full from the huge breakfasts we had. Overall, the experience was insightful and enjoyable.

The location was a bit tricky -- it was a bit hard to walk around. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff was wonderful.

The family was lovely, so I don't want this review to take away at all from them. However, KimKim made it sound like our family would be eating and spending time with another family (and we were told that they had two young kids around the same ages as ours). However, what we actually got was a family with a 19 yro, and we were really "served" food by the family, not really chatting or spending much time together. To be honest, this felt pretty weird being served by a Moroccan family...we had really wanted to spend time with them instead. The food though was delicious!

Our guide Hanan was AMAZING! We loved her. We got to have her as our guide around the market in the morning, and as our food guide in the evening. She went with the flow with our kids, showed us the highlights, and answered all of our questions. She was just spectacular (she and Tarik as our guide/driver made the "dream team"!). I wish our kids hadn't worn out so early, or I could have walked around with Hanan all day!

Our tour guide was not my favorite (Asdean). He was very nice, but when we told him we didn't want to do certain things, he kept pushing back and ignored it. This made the tour immediately start off on the wrong foot. Also, I had not been prepared for the pressure to purchase items. Asdean took us places (like a rug seller's store) and then had us sit there and look at rugs even though we had no intention to purchase anything.

The description made it sound like our kids would get to make pottery from start to finish. So, when we just went to see how the experts made pottery there were a lot of tears. In the future, KimKim needs to do a better job at explaining that this is really just a shopping/learning experience, not a pottery making experience.

A highlight of the trip. This was one of my favorite activities/memories. I just loved it.

We did not go as our kids were too tired and needed a break from tours.

Turns out, ATVs are not my favorite -- but that was nothing against the excursion! Just me.

This trip was actually 6 hours, so I don't know why KimKim says 4.5 hours. Also, this is the one issue I had with the entire itinerary - driving 6 hours on the day of our flights was not a great setup for a family with two young kids. I didn't realize this at the time, but in retrospect, we should have made sure to arrive in Casablanca the day before and I wish KimKim had suggested it.

Place was awesome, absolutely no complaints on location or people. Only issue was our dinner food (and others staying there as well) was way too westernized. Everyone was expecting a more Berber food experience. Morocco has such amazing food.

The food here is amazing. We ate here twice! In terms of the rooms it really depends on which room you got assigned to. The first room we were assigned to was super small and not sound proof, but the second room was super big and nice and quiet.

The hotel went above and beyond to make our experience great. They even organized a sand bread making experience for us and that was unforgettable. The room is exactly as pictured. You get toilet with flush and shower right in your desert tent. Note: There is no air con in this camp so it’s probably not the best spot for summer.

It was interesting but I wish our guide can speak better English. But perhaps given how remote this area is that is to be expected.

Everything was closed in the city except for the mausoleum and the souk. The guide tried his best but there was just not much there. I wish Kim Kim warned me about it ahead of time.

I enjoyed this drive we saw three seasons in one day so it was fun! Also we saw monkeys. The drive is super long though so be forewarned.

The drive was a bit boring but the small fossil museum has some very excellent specimens of trilobites and crinoids that you can walk up very close to. The water wells were also interesting.

I enjoyed the free time given to us to walk around the by the water but honestly Casablanca is a bit lacking as a city and our driver didn’t know much about the city.

We don’t like Fes, it’s the only city we felt unsafe in. Someone tried to scam us to led us somewhere weird and someone else chased us and a couple other people with a dog. If you have to skip a city skip this one. The tour guide himself was fine. He brought us to various places and often times he just leave us at each location to explore on our own. I love pottery but the coop we went to made mediocre work. I have seen much better artisans else where. Transportation wise, the driver leaves you at the edge of old city and you have to make the rest of the way yourself which wasn’t that pleasant to be honest.

The hike was fun! We liked walking around the slot canyons. The guide was a good hiking guide. He knows how to hike safely and brought us up and down the slopes. The lunch with the family was nice too.

Wish we can have more time at Rabat. The drive itself was a bit boring. Driver doesn’t know much about Rabat. We made a couple stops and was just told to get off and look by ourself. But Chefchoen was a really cute and nice town! We really enjoyed our visit there. We enjoyed walking around there it was safe and super pretty.

I love this spot. Way less busy than historical sites in Rome. The tour guide we had was very good. The lunch spot was decent.

This is one of those experience that wasn’t exactly fun per se but it was interesting enough because it was such a local experience (1% tourist and 99% local). There were so many people we couldn’t get a good spot for the parade so we just watched from afar. The parade was simple and short but it’s fun looking at the crowd and it was cool to see so many women and children out and about. We also went to a rose product store that is much loved by the locals - the price was definitely local price because all the locals were doing shopping sprees there for rose products. I also got to join a line dance with some local dancers so that was cool too.

Our guide stopped at many nice photo spots! This is closer to where our guide is from so he knows all the secret photo spots. We also bought some cool minerals from a road side shop. Note: The description mentioned visiting the movie studio but we were told by the driver we don’t have time to do that and I only got to see that studio’s gate.

The building was nice. We enjoyed the short tour. Overall pretty little garden.

I am glad we got a guide because otherwise I would have thought one of the movie prop was a historical gate. The guide brought us to one of the few houses still being inhabited. We got to look inside and that was interesting. Overall Ait Benhaddou is super busy so expect it to be overrun by tourists when you go. It is the way it is.

I really enjoyed the city. It has such a nice energy. To be honest by the time we got to Marrakesh we have already walked through many souks so some of the stuff we saw was a bit repetitive. However, the energy was different. Our guide was fine over all but he make up some facts for some questions we asked. I wish he would just tell us he doesn’t know.

Okay this is hands down the best equipped cooking class we ever did. Everyone gets their own station and it was super organized! Nothing but love for this experience!

Honestly, kind of a boring ride

The guide we got for this place was SO good. We only spent an hour with him but I learned so much. Some people may ask why you want to visit a Roman ruin when you can just go to Italy, but if you enjoy history I think it’s worth coming here as it’s the southern reach of the Roman Empire and it’s a bit different than what you see in Rome yet familiar at the same time. In Italy the nice ruins are all quite busy and you can’t get close to things. Here it was so quiet and peaceful and you can walk anywhere you want.

We had fun zooming in the desert. We didn’t see many people on the dunes so we felt like we were alone in the wild instead of being in a tourist trap. The guide was nice and took a few cool videos for us.

The spa we ended up going to was not the same spa that the organizer said we would be going to. I was a little disappointed because of that and kind of wished I booked my own spa experience. However, the service and experience was good over all. It just wasn’t the spa I wanted to go to.

I liked the building but the tour was a bit lacking. Large group tour + not that much info given.

I have ridden horses all over the world but this is the first time I felt really bad for the horses and a bit unsafe riding. 1. The horses don’t get breaks between rides so they are super tired and irritable. 2. One of the horses we rode on was sick and sneezing the whole time. 3. Because the horses are tired and irritable one of them was constantly aggravating other horses. One of our horses almost went into a fight and the horse it almost fought with then went ahead and fought another horse and the two bucked off their riders 4. Usually you are supposed to take off saddle after a ride but of course since there’s no breaks for the poor horses the saddles stay on

The old man that guided us around was nice and pointed out some super cool things in the little city that we wouldn’t have noticed if he didn’t. We didn’t eat with him and we didn’t need transport so I am not rating food and transport. We enjoyed this leisurely tour.

By far the better camel ride between the two we took. When you riding into camp around sunset, everyone else is riding in so it’s super busy. But for sunrise no one else is round so you really get to experience the peacefulness of the desert.

We ended up visiting a family in Marrakech outskirts instead of Fez because the Fez family cancelled on us last minute. The family we visited was super nice. We had cookies in their backyard and they showed us how they cooked the food and we had dinner at the living rooms. The food was super home made and tasty. I wish I get to hang out more with the ladies of the house more but they mostly stayed in the kitchen only and didn’t eat with us.

We had a lot of tasty stops. Come hungry. We didn’t each lunch that day and we were still not hungry enough for this tour! We were so full by the end of the experience we had to take the cookies to go.

Good sized room, but difficult to navigate with luggage.

This was a special experience. The overall location was good in the sahara desert in the Sand Dunes. Getting there was hard a long 7.5 hour drive for one night. The tent itself was equipped with running water, toilet, two beds, and a fan and lights and outlets to charge your appliances. I did also have wifi.

Gorgeous Riad.

The Hotel Room was subpar (there was dust, bugs, and flies everywhere) and not enough space for two luggage bags to be opened on the floor, but the outdoor experience of the hotel was beautiful.

This was a beautiful riad with a pool, amenities, and overall great character and ambience. The hotel room was small but semi luxe.

I didn't care to see the ruins, it was a very far drive, but I understand why we saw it.

This was such a long journey and we were tired. Our driver karim made sure to make several stops along the way and we felt well rested once we arrived.

It was 100 degrees outside, so we tried to avoid the heat, stayed hydrated, and made the most of our location and ventured to modern marrakesh and old marrakesh,

Overall our tour guide was very nice, well natured, and eager to show us her culture. We were exposed to many foods, and overall, I would have expected a different kind of tour, but I would not recommend it again. Perhaps a cooking class would have been more fun.

Loved everything about Dar Jasmine. The views were incredible, the room was outstanding. Breakfast was very enjoyable.

The place has a great lot of history, there's something to see in every corner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the manager and staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant.

The chef at Clock Cafe made this cooking class sooo fun and memorable, loved him. We learned a lot about traditional Moroccan cooking. Greatly enjoyed and recommend this tour.

Although it was not the season for Saffron picking, the lady at the farm was extremely knowledgeable, provided a great deal of information about saffron farming. Best to go in November if you want to see the flowers.

Greatly enjoyed the food tour. Tried a variety of food items and experienced day-to-day Moroccan food.

Enjoyed the day with Hanyn, he takes his time explaining everything and providing historical backgrounds. He's very friendly and pleasant.

Had an incredible time in Imlil. The views were breathtaking, and the hike was very relaxing and enjoyable. Yassin, our guide was extremely friendly and provide a ton of information about the area and day-to-day living in the village. Lunch was very tasty, one of the best meals we've had; it was made from the heart.

That was a very memorable experience, highly recommend it. It was very relaxing and interesting!

An absolute must!

Youseff was phenomenal! He spoke English really well, which was helpful to us and he was super knowledgeable and personable. We'd HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. Our tour was only 3 hours, though, so I am not sure why this description says 6 hours. But all the same, we really liked him.

Beautiful Riad. Located on the outskirts of the Medina. We found the Medina in Fes intimidating without a guide (so easy to get lost). We ate at the nearby Riad Salam. While expensive by Moroccan standards, the Riad is spectacular, the food was great and the staff were all very welcoming.

Comfortable accomodation in a spectacular setting. Great staff and food. We chose to drive to the camp rather than ride camels (we have ridden camels before and given our age (mid 70s and 80) we decided to play it safe). The drive through the dunes was magical.

Spectacular Riad. Beautiful, comfortable, conveniently situated to the square, great food. Definitely 5 star in every sense.

Great location and breakfasts. The rooftop is a great place to relax after a day of exploring. Friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located within the Medina.
