Our group of six worked with Chris to plan most of our two-week trip and then we took it from there and went on to a couple islands. Chris met with us online several times to work out our itinerary and came to meet us on our last night in Greece. He was very good to work with on our plans. He was open to our ideas and he followed through to adapt to our requests, including taking a ferry ride through the Corinth Canal, seeking out archeological sites in Crete, and lunching in Arechova on our trip to Delphi.
Our guides were excellent. In mainland Greece Panagiota Kankali gave us a superb introduction to Athens and Georgia took us on an informative visit to the Acropolis. Yannis drove us to Delphi and for three additional days around Nafplio and was engaging and knowledgeable and truly kind. In Crete we had guides and drivers through GS Tours, and their staff were wonderful. Spiros Daudakis was exceptional in his passion for his country's history and culture and willingness to spend many hours answering our constant questions, and Ariadne was thorough and flexible in showing us the beauty and offerings of Chania. Our driver Yanna was very smart and enthusiastic and engaging, and Nikos was kind and competent and helpful.
The hotels were each in central locations and were quite comfortable. We stayed at the Hotel NLH Monastiraki in Athens, and even though there was a street closure due to a festival on our departure day, Yannis managed to find a way to bring the van close to us. In Nafplio we stayed a Adiandi and Amymone, which is a boutique hotel with a beautiful breakfast cafe across the street with a view of the sea. In Chania, Crete, we stayed at Elia Zampeliou Hotel, which was in an old stone house that was located in the center of the old town and very comfortable. In Heraclion we stayed at the Olive Green which was a newish functional hotel for one-night stopovers before the ferry to the islands and spatially well-outfitted. All the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Some of the hotels required ability to climb stairs.

We thought the whole trip was exceptional, and we especially loved Crete. We spent a lot of time in museums and in archeological sites and we climbed lots of stone steps and walked long distances and were glad for good preparation. And we ate vast amounts of delicious food.

Olive Green Hotel
Heraklion

The Olive Green Hotel in Heraklion served its purpose well. It felt like an airport hotel but was practical and had all the basic amenities needed for a one-night stay.

Elia Zampeliou Hotel
Chania

Elia Zampeliou Hotel in Chania was truly special with its charming setup, a wonderful room with an unexpected step inside which caught me off guard at first but was not really a problem. The views were stunning as it was close to the ocean.

Adiandi and Amymone Hotel
Nafplio

Adiandi and Amymone Hotel in Nafplio was nice, an old converted house with charm. Breakfast was across in a building with a lovely view of the ocean. The room had steep steps—manageable for us, but it might be challenging for others.

NLH Monastiraki
Athens

Our stay at the NLH Monastiraki in Athens was great. The location was ideal, right on a busy street that's walkable to everything! We happened upon a surprise festival on our last day with no cars allowed, but it ended up being an enjoyable experience, and luckily everything quieted down by 11 PM. Our driver was excellent, figuring out how to circumvent any traffic issues and make everything seamless.

We have just returned from an amazing two week trip to the wine regions of Burgundy and Bordeaux in France. Marianna arranged the perfect trip for us. From wine tastings at chateau's to visiting the Dordogne region and viewing the prehistoric cave paintings in the Vezere Valley (Lascaux 4), we had a wonderful time!

In addition to the above, highlights of our trip were
- Private Wine Tour in a vintage car from Bordeaux (Pessac - Leognan)
- Full-day trip including Château de la Brède and Bazas village
- Visit of The "Hospice de Beaune", and an afternoon in Côte de Nuits
- Visit at La Cité du Vin (wine museum in Bordeaux)

Marianna provided us detailed information and tickets for our trains between cities, and and who, when and where we would meet our guides. Our guides on these tours (Rodolphe, Galaad, Kaio and Julian), were all very knowledgeable and fun to be with.

Marianna suggested we stay at the Residhome Bordeaux which worked out very well. It's located right on Tram line B which took us within a short walk to meet our tour guides, for less than 2 euros. Any private tours we went on we were picked up directly from our hotel!!

We highly recommend KimKim for your travel needs, and in fact, we are looking forward to working with them on upcoming trips to Costa Rica and Japan!!

Residhome Bordeaux
Bordeaux

The rooms are a bit small if you get a studio. We opted for a 1 bedroom which was just perfect for us. Best part of this hotel was it's location in the city. We thought it would be difficult to be outside the city center, but with the tram being so close, it was not a problem at all! We did not have breakfast at the hotel. It looked wonderful, but we opted to grab something from the local bakery. There were many good restaurants in the area.

Authenticity & Character
It's a long term stay hotel (we spent 6 nights there), so not a lot of character...

My recent trip to Peru was nothing short of magical, and I can confidently say it has carved a permanent place in my heart. From the vibrant streets of Lima to the breathtaking heights of Machu Picchu, every moment was an adventure filled with unforgettable experiences. Martina, Lionel, Jaime were amazing a organizing this adventure and Eddy was the best guide ever

Starting in Lima, I was captivated by the city's energy and rich culinary scene. The blending of modernity with historical charm is remarkable, and I indulged in some of the finest Peruvian cuisine. Dining at a local cevichería was a highlight—fresh, zesty ceviche paired with a pisco sour took my taste buds on a delightful journey.

Next, I ventured into the lush Amazon rainforest. The biodiversity here is astonishing; every trek through the greenery brought new surprises, from vibrant birds to playful monkeys. Our guided tours were insightful, offering a deep understanding of the ecosystem and the indigenous cultures that thrive there. The tranquility of the Amazon was a refreshing escape from the world's hustle and bustle.

Cusco, the old capital of the Inca Empire, welcomed me with open arms. The blend of Spanish colonial architecture and Incan ruins is awe-inspiring. I strolled through its picturesque plazas, explored the vibrant local markets, and marveled at the stunning Sacristía of the Cathedral. The warmth of the local people made every interaction memorable.

The Sacred Valley was a true highlight, boasting stunning landscapes and ancient history. The terraced hillsides of Ollantaytambo and the charming village of Pisac showcased the ingenuity of the Incan civilization. The breathtaking views and serene atmosphere offered a perfect backdrop for reflection and appreciation of the natural beauty surrounding me.

Of course, the crown jewel of my trip was the iconic Machu Picchu. Arriving there felt like stepping into a dream. The mist-covered ruins set against the majestic Andes mountains took my breath away. Exploring the ancient site, I marveled at the architecture and imagined what life was like for the Incas. Watching the sunrise over Machu Picchu was an experience I will cherish forever—it was a moment of pure magic.

After the tranquility of Machu Picchu, I set out to see the vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain. The hike was challenging but incredibly rewarding. Standing at the summit, surrounded by those breathtaking hues, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the natural wonders of our world.

To conclude my journey, I visited the serene Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The floating islands of the Uros people offered a fascinating glimpse into their traditional way of life. Cruising on the lake while soaking in the stunning views was a perfect way to reflect on my unforgettable trip.

In summary, my adventure in Peru was beyond my wildest dreams. The stunning landscapes, rich culture, and vibrant people made for an incredible experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this journey to anyone seeking adventure and beauty. Peru has truly stolen my heart, and I cannot wait to return!

After an amazingly well-organized and experienced trip to the Azores and Portugal two years ago with KimKim, my expectations were high for KimKim. Unfortunately, the organizational piece was uneven and lacked details until the trip was underway.

After fine-tuning our plans for SW Ireland by Zoom with Dean on Monday, the 23rd of October, two day before we were to leave for Ireland, it was my understanding an updated/detailed itinerary with important phone contacts was to reach me before flying to Shannon. Dean assured me that a driver would be at the airport to transport me upon my early morning arrival at 5:35AM to my hotel, the Doolin Inn. This did not happen as I had to wait three hours for someone to pick me up. I attempted many frustrating calls and emails to KimKim and Dean directly. Throughout our trip, Dean never responded to me regarding the driver not showing up.

I still am unsure as to whom Dean works for: KimKim, an intermediary or Walk, Hike Bike which provided our guide, Joe, who was amazing with every detail of our time with him. He made sure he was clear about each days expectations and execution of each hike, activity and/or drive. Joe was knowledgeable, curious and a treat to experience my first trip to Ireland with him.

My first day playing golf there was wonderful, but I was following a slow players, so I was late for about 30 minutes for my driver's pick up time arrangement. The driver had charged me extra 60 euros because of this unforeseen pick up golf delay. So the next day I played the same golf course again, but I kept on looking at my cell phone watch just to make sure that I am not late again for the driver's pick up time arrangement. I went to Paris France mainly to enjoy playing golf and I should not have to worry about kept looking at my watch, because I am worried that I might be late again for pick up time.
So, I wish that Josee inform me about an extra charge for an unforeseen golf play pick up delays before I booked my travel itinerary to France to give me an option if I still want to do it with KimKim Company. So, I am really disappointed on this part of my vacation. So, KimKim is not design for golfers, but only designed for non golfers or a regular vacationers....
My most memorable time is the Eiffel Tower, actually going inside and seeing Eiffel Tower in person is amazing. Riding the Vintage car is also wonderful. Going to the Seine Cruise is also an awesome experience. My driver Michael and Thomas speaks English, so I was happy with both of them. But most of all Josee had given me the most services on this trip helping me with my Vouchers by sending it to my WhatsApp, because I did not see it in my computer at home and did not print it.
So, I would have given this Company a perfect score if it wasn't for the extra charged on my unforeseen pick up golf delay, and me worrying about the time playing golf.... I would highly recommend KimKim Company to all those regular travelers/vacationers, but not for "Avid Golfers like myself."

The only golf course that is worth playing is the Le National Albatross Course. However, this golf course need to hire a Marshall to keep the pace of play going. I was following a slow golfers for both of my rounds here, and not fun, when a fast golfer like me had to wait 5 to 10 minutes on every hole. So, I would suggest to let your travel agent know to extend the time to at least 30 to 50 minutes pick up time with your driver after 4 hours if you decide to play golf at Le National Golf Course.

Dear Ella,

I would like to thank you for giving us your feedback on your trip to France! I appreciate your comments on both the highlights and the negative experience. I apologize for the inconvenience of having to pay an extra fee to your private chauffeur for the delay in your golf game. Your concern prompted me to look into alternative solutions for future travelers.

We have used kimkim in the past to book other trips because they never disappoint.

Hamza and Said were quick to answer all our questions and give us tips to make sure we booked the trip of our dreams. They take out the stress out of travelling as you know hotels, transfers and activities are all booked beforehand.

Everything is well timed and organized and we felt safe at all times.

We met our driver Samir in the airport and let me tell you he is great! If we travel to Morocco make sure you request him! Not only he is a safe driver, puntual and very knowledgeable, he is always extremely helpful and kind.
He always kept the care impeccably clean and fresh for us. Gave us tips on where and how to deal with merchants. Brought is to the best hidden gema to eat. Explained us how to tip and haggle and told us many stories about his country and their culture. Truly an exceptional human being that always made us smile.

Thank you Samir for making our visit to your country extra special!

Our tour guide in Marrakech was Hanan! Kudos to her too! Very kind young lady. Knowledgeable and funny. She never pushed
us to buy and she genuinely cares for her trade.

When in Marrakech make sure you book the hammam experience! We love the exfoliation, mask and massage. The tea and the pampering where unparalleled.

To give you an idea of our vacation, here is the itinerary:
Marrakesh (3 nights)
Aït Benhaddou (1 night)
Merzouga (1 night)
Fes (2 nights)
Rabat (1 night)
Chefchaouen (1 night)

We liked our itinerary and really recommend visiting the Merzouga desert. The camel ride and watching the sunset on the dunes of the Sahara is a one in a lifetime experience. That being said make sure you book a luxury camp, which means having AC and a private bathroom in your tent, anything else might feel daunting, or at least for us.

The cooking class and mosaic workshop are also very fun. I wished the cooking class was in a more authentic kitchen instead of a super fancy riad as it would add value to the experience but it was still a lot of fun and our Chef Mounia was a delight.

Coming with an open mind is a must. Remember you are no longer back home. Be ready to haggle is part of the culture.

Ask before taking pictures as many people, specially in tourist spots like the main square in the Marrakech medina, are there for money and will expect a tip.

Culture is different and accommodations too. Instead of comparing, admire the richness of this country and adjust to what is being offered to you.

We were mesmerized by the beauty of the intricate work in the mosaics and the carvings and hand paint job in the cedar ceilings.
The quality of natural beauty products!
The kaftans 😍 the lamps, the leather work! There is sooo much to admire but above all we loved how kind and generous Moroccans are!

The food is delicious and the pastries and sweets too. The fresh bread, olives and mint tea a delicacy.

Thanks again Hamza, Said and Samir! We will be sire to be back!

This trip was a long overdue senior trip for my now 24-year old son. Let's go on an adventure Mom, he said.

Our Travel Planner Gummi curated the perfect adventure for us - seeing Iceland up close and personal, while camping in a van. We had no idea where we were going other that we wanted to see waterfalls, Northern Lights, Hot springs, and Fly Fish. Check, check, check and check!

The daily itinerary was spot on with critical tips that kept us on course. Each and every day we repeatedly were saying "No Way!!" And the perfect trip book ends were the Sky Lagoon on day one to get us grounded and Blue Lagoon on the last day to ease us back into reality.

Not only was the timing and the logistics of the itinerary on point, but each campground recommended had exactly the services we needed.

The country of Italy is beautiful, however, we had a few issues. We had one amazing driver in Florence/Tuscany by the name of Alexssandro. He was not only a fabulous driver, historian and friendly face, he went out of his way to help us when there was an issue dropping us off at our next hotel.
We also had two amazing guides on separate days who were outstanding. An
Art Historian who took us to the Ufizzi Gallery; and on a separate day, another guide who took us to Herculaneum/Pompeii. Both of these guides were full of information and answered any questions we had regarding the venues/history. There were a couple of issues with drivers however (not Alexssandro). Pick up points were not always confirmed and confusion ensued as we attempted to navigate new cities in an effort to find our driver(s). A suggestion - perhaps when drivers pick up passengers at train stations or airports, they could be holding signs with the names of their passengers, and always be met inside the stations/airports. Also, accomodations could be vetted better; and the itinerary should include either the name of the company providing the tour/adventure, or some kind of confirmation number. We had several situations where we did not know what company to look for and had to approach different tour guides in an attempt to find the one(s) we were assigned to. On the financial end of it, we were quoted a price which we agreed to pay. Later, we requested additional items to be added to the trip, (at an additional cost), and we agreed to pay the new quoted price. When we attempted to make a payment, the cost had increased by $50.00 with no explanation. When we inquired about the additional cost, we discovered that the price had increased again by an additiona $6.52. A rather poor explanation was given for the price increase. The $6.52 disappeared but the additional $50.00 did not. We are very disappointed by this lack of professionalism. When we are quoted a price and agree to it, that is the price we expect to pay. This sudden switching of prices leaves us with a negative impression of KimKim. If a mistake in the original quoted price is made, that should be absorbed by the company. A professional company would know this and ensure that the error is kept within KimKIm. We may not book another trip with this company due to this error alone.

Our trip to Italy with KimKim was worth every single penny. We were a group of 4 travelers with a wide variety of preferences but Andrea managed to plan the most perfect time for us. Our trip to Italy with KimKim was worth every single penny. We were a group of 4 travelers with a wide variety of preferences but Andrea managed to plan the most perfect time for us. Each hotel (and wow, the rooms we got!) was excellent in both service and location. Every driver and guide we had presented themselves with absolute most professionalism and knowledge in their areas. Our guide for Pompeii, Pasqualina, was the absolute star of the trip. Her story telling truly transported us in time, ensuring that we had a truly unforgettable experience. As for drives, Enzo also stood out with his friendliness and thoughtful routes throughout the trip. Our days were incredible from start to finish, no time was missed. Andrea exceeded all expectations by not only putting together an incredible itinerary but by also providing us with a roadbook with every details, amazing tips & recommendations, which made the trip truly stress free. We had everything we needed and as a result, had the most incredible trip.

Hotel Review
Hotel La Bussola
Amalfi

This hotel is an actual dream. Waking up every day to the stunning view of Amalfi was truly breathtaking. The rooms were incredible spacious, with super functional storage, very comfortable beds, and surprisingly sound proof windows (important on a main road at night). Staff here was super friendly with a breakfast spread I will miss for weeks to come. Location could not have been more perfect.
