Dear Ana and the Kim Kim team. What an amazing adventure trip we had to Malaysia and Indonesia! No tour operator could assist us from Africa and we came across Kim Kim on the internet who connected us to Ana. We did some research as to what we wanted to see and learn about and experience on our adventure getaway, and with Ana's guidance and patience and working through many options, we finally settled and decided on version 9! Starting in Kuala Lampur and visiting the Batu Caves, the Aquarium, the Kuala Lampur Bird Gardens to name but a few things. We then travelled to Bukit Lawang where we started our jungle trek to Gunung Leuser National Park. To see the fauna and flora and experience the jungle with all the different primate species and birds, reptiles and mammals. Orangutans, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Gibbons, flying lizzards, dragon lizzards, squirrels, butterflies to name but a few. Hearing the sounds of the forest. Camping by a river was just amazing. Then proceeding onwards to Betestagi and climbing Mount Sibayak Volcano and seiing the sulphur vents. To Lake Toba and Samosir Island and learning about the Batak peoples. Then visiting an orchid farm on the way to Medan with hundreds of species of orchids. Making our way onwards to Flores Island to catching our private boat trip to Rinca and Komodo Islands to see the great Komodo Dragons around the Flores sea. We went snorkeling with turtles and the abundant underwater life around these islands. Then onwards to Gili Meno to slow down and take a rest. Stopping over in Bali to experience the culture of the peoples of this island. Learning about Luwak coffee, visiting an amazing local art gallery. Then back to Kuala Lampur. Our getaway holiday trip involved learning about cultures and peoples and seeing amazing wildlife. Eating the most amazing food Malaysia and Indonesia had to offer. We would not have changed anything on our travels and every step was well organised by Ana and the Kim Kim team to provide a hassle free holiday. Absolutely nothing went wrong throughout our travels!
A huge thank you to Ana and Kim Kim as well as all the guides who picked us up at each place and taught us so much about the land and country of Indonesia. To the guides at Gunung Leuser National Park, Atte and Sudhar, to Zulkifli who showed us around Sumatra. To Agung for showing us around Bali. To Yuris who guided us on the boat to Rinca and Komodo and showed us the wildlife wonders underwater as well as on the islands. Truly, this was an amazing adventure and Indonesia and Malaysia are amazing countries to explore and have an adventure getaway!

The visit to Portugal was nothing short of incredible. Our trip was a “mama-moon” following my wife’s daughter’s wedding. With all the planning for the wedding, it was both a relief and added value to have Joao help in the planning of our 2-week getaway. His attention to several changes and timely feedback was very much appreciated.
During our visit, we had the luxury of personal drivers and tour guides, making the visit both relaxing and a personal touch… adding great relational interaction for the sightseeing trip. Jose, our driver, was both professional and a wealth of knowledge about both Portugal’s history and current events. Equally, our tour through Lisboa by Margarida was fun, entertaining, and a joyful part of our trip.
Although a bit challenging, renting a car to drive through the Douro Valley and then onto Madrid over the mountains was a real highlight of the trip.
Each stop planned by Joao was well thought out and added to the overall experience. Especially loved our side trip to Seville as we drove back into Portugal after 4 nights in Spain.
As has been shared in previous reviews, traveling with KimKim is a more expensive than other travel services, however the service provided was outstanding and a testimony to both Joan’s assembled team and their pride in showing the best of Portugal.

From the time we were picked up at the airport in Lisbon to our departure all the plans made by Karenina were impeccable. The hotel in Lisbon was a little jewel in an excellent location.
The tours planned were excellent and we learned so much.
KimKim lets you choose tours by your interests, and the tour guides are prompt and informative. We had enough time in the Algarve to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities in between tours.

The entire trip was incredible. It was so easy to work with Sarah in planning, even as we changed our minds and changed our routes. She was knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. We loved our guides in Split, Mljet and Dubrovnik. Mljet is an amazing place for people who like a bit of the outdoors and we highly recommend connecting with Luča. He is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable . While we were here in Croatia we had some random questions and Mislav answered them so quickly and provided really helpful info beyond our initial questions.

The entire team as amazing and I highly recommend KimKim!

Ayoub was our driver for our 9 day trip and we had a great time! With 2 small children and long drives in-between locations, he gave us a lot of breaks and did his best to make sure we were comfortable. Ayoub also dealt with minor issues and hiccups with flexibility and efficiency.

We also appreciated that he interacted well with our kids and made sure to keep them involved. They had a wonderful time!

Ayoub helped to really make this trip special!

Our only recommendation would be for Kim Kim to provide more realistic details of what to expect. For instance, the dinner with the family ended up being us having dinner by ourselves while they served us. Kim Kim suggested we could join them in the kitchen, but by the time we got there, that wasn't an option. Also, while the son was sweet, it felt like he was our waiter who sat with us occasionally. Another example, the driving times were incorrect. The first day our itinerary said 4.5 hours, but it was almost double that. Our driver said it was 4.5 hours from Rabat, but it took hours just to get there first. Our driver drove well, but with traffic and such that's just how long it took. Many of the driving days, Kim Kim did not give the correct driving estimate.

In terms of room bookings, it seems it is common for the kids to have separate rooms, which is fine, but booking them in adjacent rooms would be ideal or even on the same floor. In a couple of the riads we were on opposite sides of the complex and on different floors. If your kids are afraid to be alone, this will not work for you. We ended up doing one parent with one child, but that is not our preference.

Angela was great to work with in planning our first trip to Greece and was very supportive during our trip.
The accommodations in Athens, Naxos and Santorini were all lovely. We really enjoyed being in Naxos and learning about its history, food, marble, etc. The small villages of Naxos were the most beautiful!

She picked great locations with not too strenuous hikes, beautiful guest houses (we got lucky to experienced Aurora 🌌 at Dimmuburgir) all locations had great vegetation friendly good options-score🤩
Even during the trip , when there was unexpected extreme weather warning she let us know . gave us a heads up on guesthouses that didn’t have breakfast for us to plan ahead for our 3yr old.
Will definitely plan to revisit beautiful Iceland but before that will come back to KimKim for our next family trip.

We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation thanks to KimKim. Everything that we had planned and scheduled for us ran extremely smoothly and really gave us the picture of Italy we had hoped to discover. The transportation between locations (trains, private cars, etc) all ran as well as you could expect even with some delays.

All of the private tours we got to go on were incredible, and led by the perfect people! Suzy and Valerio in Venice, Paola and Semonetta (?) leading our cooking class in Chianti, Massimo and Marco doing our colosseum and Ape tours in Rome, and Christian as our skipper for our boat ride in Sorrento. Everybody was welcoming and excited to share the rich history and culture of all the parts of Italy with us, it really helped us get immersed and lose ourselves in the beauty of it all.

An added bonus of course was having the travel team available pretty much all day every day when we had hiccups come up. It was always a quick response to get us back on track, and options when things started to go awry.

And the most thank you to Tasos for setting up this perfect trip and all of his recommendations as we were trying to decide what to do and where to go. He even left us an anniversary present at our 2nd accommodation which was very sweet!

All in all, we got to explore all over Italy without having to worry about any tiny details. We got to go at our own pace and when we did have tours events planned, we could just show up to places when we needed to and get taken care of. We will use KimKim on our next international vacation and any trips that come up in the future!

Amalia was a great guide for tailoring our trip to Greece! She listened to what we wanted and made an itinerary that we really enjoyed. She always communicated very quickly and was flexible to any changes that had to be made. Highly recommend her a a trip advisor for anyone traveling to Greece!

This tour was a fantastic way to experience both the food and the city on foot. Really enjoyed the variety of flavors and our tour guide was amazing!

The Moskene ferry ride was comfortable,, and the approach was very scenic. Our first stop was in Reine and it is even prettier than all the pictures we have seen. We stayed at the Eliasson Robauer which was scenic and ate at the restaurant there, the Gadus. I would recommend getting reservations if eating there. It was very good, especially the fish. The next day we drove to Svolvaer. We stopped at the blacksmith shop in Sund, and although off season in October we were able to get in. The owner was informative and entertaining and we bought a cormorant statue he made. In Svolvaer we went on the Trollfjord cruise. It was foggy and overcast an gave the surrounding mountains a magical feeling. We enjoyed going into the fjord. The highlight of our trip was hanging with the Huskies outside Tromso. The dogs were all friendly and playful. The bacalao soup was tasty and the clouds opened up just enough to see the Northern Lights. While there we experienced the first snow of the year. The next day we went to the Polar Museum. It was fabulous, definitely recommended. After that we ate at Skirri. Fresh fried cod as well as fresh sushi from the Japanese restaurant next door were the best. On our last night we went on the Aurora cruise. It was very peaceful, but cloudy and not much of a view, other than darkness and lights on the shore. The food was gourmet style, unusual foods and small portions, not our thing. Overall a great trip, not a single problem. Thank you Fenne and Mar!

This was an amazing experience. The dogs were great, the staff was friendly and the food was good. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights as the clouds broke just enough.

My wife and I decided to book our honeymoon to Greece with KimKim and Rebecca and could not have been happier about the decision! Reecca was so helpful from the initial planning stage, to the end and took all the pressure off of us for deciding on where to go, what to do, booking and execution of all the details. She had a number of phone calls with us beforehand to make sure we were crafting the perefect trip that included everything we wanted. Our trip included several different desitnations (island hopping in greece) packed into a short amount of time. It was not simple to plan and we were very impressed with the seamlessness of all of the travel logistics, airport pickups, hotel bookings, etc. Rebecca was incredibly responsive throughout the entire trip for questions about anything that came up and she was a pleasure to work and communicate with.

Absolutely would reccomend to anyone considering using KimKim/Rebecca for a trip to Greece or elsewhere! We will certainly be doing so again in the future!

Our trip was positively flawless, and the service while we were "en route" on our trip was responsive and helpful. The locations and activities that Jane recommended and help to orchestrate were spot on, and enabled us to feel far more like "travelers" than tourists. We enjoyed every aspect of our Wales vacation!

This is one of the most beautiful and memorable hotels of our trip, set on a lush landscape reminiscent of a time gone by. The accommodations are beautiful and luxurious, and make you feel as if you are living as a Welsh royal. The furnishings are beautifully restored, and the main house fireplaces and lounging areas make you feel as if you are at home. The restaurant chef makes incredible, sustainable meals with produce grown in their garden. It is a special place, and we'll definitely be back!

State Room at Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guards (during summertime only)

Having been to the changing of the guards many times as a child, youth, etc., i was looking for a better experience to share with my husband for his first time to London, and this does not disappoint! The guide was amazingly knowledgeable and enabled us to enjoy the ceremonial aspects of the changing of the guards, rather than just stand in front of the gates and "wait" for the guards to change locations. We enjoyed the music, the array of different guards and their various roles/dress, etc.

Rabin, our trek guide was friendly and knowledgeable and shared interesting information over the 12 day hike to ENC and back.
