Petra is jaw dropping, Wadi Rum is wild, the Dead Sea is fun. Aicha Camp in Wadi Rum was perfect.
Jordan is a great travel destination!

It would have been helpful to have more information about what was involved in some of the activities. e.g. we arrived at Sky Park to find out that we were going on a 3-hour hike to the hanging bridges before the zipline. There was not a great deal to see on the hike. There was no time to eat before the zipline at 1:00, and 2 of our party were so tired or slightly ill that they didn't go. The ziplining was great for the 2 of us who went.

similarly, the instructions for what to bring could be clearer. It said to bring hiking shoes and a bathing suit for the river trip. We did not need either. Water shoes would have been better.

the tour to Manuel Antonio was well-done with an excellent guide. We were not quite prepared for the long wait to get into the park. Also, you might tell people to wear a bathing suit if they expect to swim. There is no place to change. The hike itself was great with lots of wildlife.

From my initial conversations with Amanda who helped me build a personalised itinerary, through to the planning, support, customer service and guide, the whole team were amazing. Every detail was covered and every question answered (always a bonus when you are traveling to a destination for the first time).

A special mention must go to my guide, Wangchhu Sherpa, who is absolutely top-class. Wangchhu really made the trip with his local knowledge and explanations of the local culture and Sherpa people. At every tea house or hotel we were made welcome with a smile and some great food. We shared some laughs and lots of chats on so many topics as we trekked, taking in some absolutely stunning views and incredible scenery. I'd definitely recommend including Pikey Peak if you can. The 360 degree views at sunrise are stunning. You can't argue with Sir Edmund Hilary!

I have no hesitation in highly recommending Amanda, Wangchuu, Sitaram and the team for a trekking adventure in Nepal. I'll definitely be heading back to Nepal next year to continue my adventure in one of the most stunning places on earth!

Hey Andy,

It was an absolute pleasure assisting you with "one of the most memorable experiences" of your life, as you put it. We agree that Pikey Peak is an incredible trekking area, describing the view from the peak and even photos don't do it justice and we just love sending people there for not only the views, but the cultural experience too.
Thanks for your review - I'll pass it back to Wangchhu, Sitaram and the rest of the team behind the scenes!

*The Aquaterra accommodations were good.
*The Grey Glacier Hotel and later glacier boat tour were both very good.
*The day tour of the park was very good.
*The Refugio Torre Central was a good staging point for the long hike, but there were some other
lodging options one might have considered to shorten hike a little.
*Even though we only had one clear and one partially clear day of the three, the views were
spectacular and what we came to see.
THE OTHER
*Two boat rides are unnecessary; the Grey Glacier tour was much better.
*The two options provided because of the last minute zodiac cancellation wee not good; like take a
chance on another company which may not go, or take an all day boat ride for a 1 hour walk. A
better option would have been to go head and do park tour or have a extra day in the park. Still
had to pay for transfer even though luggage would have been transferred under original plans.
*During the tour day, the hike was a pretty serious climb, considering the long hike to next day.
Might have considered another hike considering our ages and experience.
*For someone my age, a stay at the refugio 2/3 of the way up the Torres Base hike would have
been better. Also provides a weather option.
*The Patagonia B&B was very basic and would not be recommended.
*Lodging in Punta Arenas could have been nearer the penguin boat dock and airport. It was a 50
minute ride from town and back plus long boat ride for 1 hour with penguins at the end of the
season.
*Other than the lost day with the boat ride, the trip was a success.

We shared a lot of good songs on the road trips. He was very kind and took a lot of pictures of us and shared it through WhatsApp. He even gifted me with a tagine! Big thanks to the team for taking such good care of us. The guide in Fes, Hafid was excellent. He was a tower of knowledge and too us through the Souks and made us feel safe. Working with Victor was excellent and he was always super responsive. We were very happy with his services. We probably did too much travelling in the course of our 2 weeks, our fault as we wanted to see a lot. We had little time to plan our trip so more guidance on how much we could realistically see would have been useful. Overall we could have concentrated our trip in North Vietnam and the Central zone, leaving out the Mekong delta. To get to the delta we travelled for 1 day, by car and plane to basically do a 2.5 hour morning visit the next day to the floating market and leave immediately for HCMC (a 5 hour drive). The market was lovely to see, but I felt guilty travelling by plane for such a short visit. Our time would have been better spent with a few more days at the beach near HoiAn, with day trips to some cultural sights in the mornings. Looking at our trip plan day 12 and 13 were not really done. There was a pick up from the airport, lunch and onto hotel. No time given to visit Can Tho. Next day, boat trip, a visit to a small fruit farm and on the road to HCMC. Our guide seemed more keen to get us back to the the city than show us anything more in the delta. A bike ride on an island as described in your other tours would have been nice.
Our stay in the Eco Lodge near Sapa was wonderful and the highlight of the trip. A really beautiful location and a great place to stay. Halong bay was also a beautiful place.
The KimKim service makes it easy to plan a trip. This is the first time we have ever used a service like this. I would use the service again, but want a more flexible option. Travelling independently gives you a lot of flexibility to change your plans and I missed that on the trip. We did end up cutting a couple of guided trips short as we preferred to do things ourselves and just sometimes had done too much travelling to want to be out a whole day on a sight seeing tour.
All our travel arrangements, pick ups at airports, hotels, etc. were perfect and there was always someone there to greet us. Execution was well done.

I have to complaint that so many days we had late lunch, almost 80% of our lunch were between 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Then we were driven back to hotel after lunch & didn't hear anything from him after that. Kimkim booked many hotels out of convenient locations. Some were so far in & remote. There was no way for us to find a dinner place in walking distance. We didn't want to eat in hot & humid condition after a shower. We didn't want to take Tuk tuk all the time either. There are 4 nights I stay separately with Tams, so I don't even want to go out myself. We all skipped dinner at least for 5 nights. I feel Thasim could have offered some help to arrange our dinners, even dinners are not included in our cost. We all felt that Thasim tried to put all activities together by delaying our lunch, even when we told him we were hungry & the place we passed looked like a good lunch place. He would ignore our request, insisted a reason to do more activities all together. Then he would say Bye to us & won't see us again until next morning.
I'm very disappointed about Colombo's hotel location. We had plenty of time to do some shopping on our last day. But the location of our last night hotel was so far from the town center. Even it was close to the beach, but it's close to the railroad & not that pretty to see. There were no shops or even good restaurants for us to enjoy our last day. As usual, we got no help or recommendations from Thasim. Every time when I contacted you for detail information, such as about what were included in the city tour, he got offended & not happy. He felt that I reported him for not doing his job. But, I just tried to know because it was not listed in detail in your handout. He did miss to let us go inside the Temple of Tooth & just let us walk around it briefly.
With this kind of trip with many remote & jungle stay, I felt the dinner should be included for our convenience, even we have to pay for it. Also, please give us a good map for our itineraries.
Thanks. Chyong

Hi Chyong,

Many thanks for your comments. I am sorry that the trip did not fully meet your expectations. We have tried our best to offer you a good service.

Even though Sri Lanka is a small country the travel distances can be long. So when travelling it is always possible to have a late lunch. I have added treks that are in less touristic areas to give you the best experiences. So most of the towns did not have good restaurants but you always had the possibility of buying the dinner from the accommodation itself. (All the accommodation you have stayed offered dinner)

Thasim always had your best interest in his heart and sometimes he planned to include activities so that you get the best experiences without skipping anything.

Like I have mentioned to you, Thasim was always on call so you could have simply called him and could go for dinner. I have personally asked Thasim to do this but according to him, he did not receive any call from you. Since you booked the trip last minute, we could not book the same hotels as Tams for you, but we did our very best to do so.

About the Temple of the Tooth, according to Thasim, Tams and you did not want to go inside so he refunded the entrance fee.

The hotel in Colombo was located 15 min from the city, so you could have easily travelled with Thasim there.

The tour was designed for your travel companions, the Tams, according to their specific requirements, so I am sorry you did not get the most out of it. Yet again I am sorry for the inconveniences, your comments will help immensely to develop our services. If you ever want to come back to Sri Lanka just contact me and I will design the tour just for you to meet your specific requirements. I wish you all the best in your future travels.

Best Regards,
Sandun.

It's been a marvelous trip and highly recommend Abdellah our expert. I wasn't very specific with my travel request he planned it perfectly and more. So thank you! Everyday there was something different. It showed us beauty of Morroco and warmth of its people. We will definitely have to come back!

We love our driver/Tour guide Said. He took great care of us. Took wonderful pictures. He is knowledgeable passionate about his country. We now count him as a friend.

From Said and to our day guides who are knowledgeable and proud of their heritage and country and riad owners/managers family atmosphere it was memomarble once in lifetime experience.

Chechouan blue city was something out of a fairytale.

Volubilis brought us to ancient times. Brought to life by our guide Mohammed.

In Fes our guide Hassan showed us scope of city and we learned a lot the different craftsmanships handed down for generations and workmanship. Pottery, Looming, Carpetry, Tanneries.
The drive to Fez to Merzouga though the longest we barely noticed as we had stops on picturesque sights.

We got to interact with Barbary Monkeys. And one day experience four seasons in middle atlas.

Sahara was just magical. If you can manage spend two nights. We are forever changed by meeting family of Nomads. We also learned to play Berber instruments and music.

Souks in Market day, was a great experience.

Makarech has it's own beautiful flavor and flair. A great history 🇲🇦& Makarech lesson early morning with Makarech guide Youssef. But the highlight of Makarech is our cooking class at the Lotus Chef School. We learned to make Two salads and chicken tagine. They also showed breadmaking and thousand holes pancake and art of tea making.

I'm probably missing a lot of great experience in this review.

Friends and family are like is it really that beautiful in Morocco or just pictures. As we always look like we are having fun. I'm like yes it is. Come over!!

Guide Raed was ultra attentive and helpful. Did have some trouble with my understanding his English sometimes, but we managed just fine.
Ayass hotel was great. Again, ultra friendly and solicitous staff, wonderful room. Too bad it is so far from downtown but taxi/Uber is inexpensive.
Aicha tent camp very elegant. Again good service.
Petra guest house rooms are weird; up and down stairs to get to room. Needed guide to find our room.

Our driver had a really strong accent and could hardly understand him. No speaker system in the car so the people in the back couldn't hear a thing.
No guides where included on this so we had to pay for local guides every where we went. (wasn't expecting the extra cost) Had I known this a head of time I would of picked a different tour.
Driver was always on time.
Driver never gave us information on a lot of the sites and had a hard time with just general questions
The Hotels where great for the most part. We enjoyed all the stops .

Hi Debbie, Thanks a lot for your feedback! We really value this from our travellers, as it helps us understand what we can improve on in the future. My apologies about the confusion about the guide, we should have communicated it better, however, it was mentioned in your itinerary and pointed out in an email as well. Hi Debbie,

The driver is there to be on time and take you from A to B. Sometimes they give extra information, I will mention this to him of course as it obviously makes things nicer when they give a bit of background story.

Nevertheless, I am glad though that you enjoyed the stops, and hope you had an overall great time in Jordan!

All the best for your future travels!

Our trip to Costa Rica was expertly planned! We had some reservations about how to get around to different destinations and what logistically was possible to do within our travel dates. Olman our together a perfect trip that allowed for adventure, relaxation, all that you want in a vacation, but the best part is that we never needed to worry about any logistics about how to get to our destination, etc. it was all layed out for us, allowing us to truly be on vacation the whole experience. I would highly recommend working with Olman.

Regarding the language of trekking guide, they mostly belong to the mountains who have learned English while interacting with the foreigners. We agree they do not have the best English , only basic English but they have best knowledge about the local lifestyle and culture of the mountains.

We hope to see you back in Nepal someday :)
