In Brazil, we had a total of 3 tour guides with us and 2 of them exceeded expectations and one seemed to leave us hanging for a part of the trip. Luis and Alberto excelled at their job they both kept a pace we could keep up with (we are both 60+), were very informative, commenting on the significant historical stories of each locale, and were receptive to questions and adjustments to the tour so that we felt comfortable at every stage of the trip. In Brazil, we had a total of 3 tour guides with us and 2 of them exceeded expectations and one seemed to leave us hanging for a part of the trip. Luis and Alberto excelled at their job they both kept a pace we could keep up with (we are both 60+), were very informative, commenting on the significant historical stories of each locale, and were receptive to questions and adjustments to the tour so that we felt comfortable at every stage of the trip. While C was informative and tried their best at English she probably kept the Portuguese portion of the group well informed but when we went to confirm our return ride back by rail, we felt a little abandoned not knowing what the next step was. Thankfully fellow passengers and the station master were quick to figure out the next step and ensured we had tickets for, the return train trip back to Curitiba. It must also be said that C was very considerate in backtracking the group to recover a personal item left behind - thank you C. Kimkim and Luis were very helpful when the airline cancelled a trip from Foz do Iguacu to Curitiba shortly before boarding. Luis was on the phone to clarify alternate plans, and in a few minutes, an alternate route going through Sao Paulo was arranged. While we got in later than expected it all worked out. All the transfers were handled professionally with no hiccups. At all times when travelling with the parties, Kimkim arranged we felt safe and looked after. In overview, the hotels were all comfortable and met our expectations with interesting features and locations. Kimkim was right on with sticking to the plan as agreed upon. I would travel with Kimkim again especially if the same stellar tour guides were included.

Unforgettable building and A1 staff. The building is quite old but has been tastefully renovated with AC and comfortable beds and a spacious bedroom. I doubt you will have ever stayed in a bedroom with higher ceilings - quite a unique and beautiful feature. The daily breakfast was tastefully presented and with numerous options sure to address whatever your breakfast desire is. for security reasons, you are buzzed in 24hrs around the clock at the front door(not easy to find initially). the front desk is attentive and prompt with opening the door - nice when it is raining. One small observation - the shower works well however the shower base is level not providing a quick draining shower floor. not a large issue. Consider bringing your USB plugins as we had none in our room. It is in an old part of Curitiba and therefore not that close to many amenities. The municipal market(must see) is about 20 minute walk away. We used Uber to get to the things we were interested in.

As I told you on the day of the Morretes tour from Curitiba, unfortunately that local company is the only one to organize the kind of trip you wanted to do, so we would have had no choice in having you do it with other guide-organizations. so we were sorry that the guide that day was not clear in guiding you about the return by train. However, I am happy that everything went well.

I hope to hear from you in the future if you want to explore the rest of the enormous Brazilian territory! happy homecoming and OBRIGADO again.

I shattered my ankle months before our trek. I had hoped that I would be healed enough to still do a beginner version that Sangita had arranged. But unfortunately, my trek partner also fell ill and we had to turn our trek into a jeep excussion to the tea houses we had planned to trek to. Sangita made it happen. But unfortunately, my trek partner also fell ill and we had to turn our trek into a jeep excussion to the tea houses we had planned to trek to. Sangita made it happen. On the last day when we were to fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, our flight was cancelled (due to weather). Sangita arranged for us to get a jeep to Kathmandu so we could make our international flight. She found us a private jeep with a fantastic driver. 20 minutes later, we were on the road...our only hope to make our flight. On the way, via cell phone comms back and forth, she helped us collect our left luggage from our previous hotel and deliver it to us at the airport. Without all this coordination on Sangita's part, we might still be in Nepal!! She is simply awesome and a miracle worker.

The staff treated us like royalty. It was clean...washcloths, soap, water all available in the room. We had a delicious dinner in the main restaurant that was one of the best meals we had in Nepal. Great hotel to spend our last night in Nepal.

We are so happy with our experience with Kimkim/Active India. Everything was well organized, which made our trip hassle-free. In particular, our two drivers (Mr. Puran and Mr. Sherin) were excellent. We are so happy with our experience with Kimkim/Active India. Everything was well organized, which made our trip hassle-free. In particular, our two drivers (Mr. Puran and Mr. Sherin) were excellent. They made sure we were safe and comfortable the entire time we were with them, which was nice since they were the "constants" on our trip. While all our guides were good, Mr. Devinder in New Dehli and Mr. Virendra in Jaipur were superb. Devinder did a great job of being flexible with our schedule to make sure all of our time with him was used to its full potential. Virendra's historical and current knowledge of Jaipur made our tours with him very interesting and informative.

One thing to note: the guides will take you to vendors where they will receive a commission on sales. In general, the vendors offer quality items, but you have to be firm and comfortable putting your foot down to say 'no thank you' to your guide and vendor if you aren't interested in purchasing anything.

We only stayed one short night while being transferred from Rajasthan to Muunar. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. The best part of the hotel is the rooftop bar/pool area with a large-screen TV. Breakfast offered both traditional Indian and Western fare.

The hotel was great, but we were here at the tail end of the prime season, so it was quiet (not necessarily a bad thing). In fact, we were redirected from one of the restaurants that was supposed to be open. The hotel sits perched on the side of one of the mountains and is viewable from the tea plantations and town below. The views from this hotel are AMAZING, and the massages are good also. The rooms were just the right size, and the staff was friendly.

Houseboat

We were told the houseboat would travel through the canals, allowing you to see the small villages. What actually happens is you boat out from where you board for about an hour with about 10-15 other boats, some of which passed within touching distance. Then, you boat the hour back and dock next to a house where the boat can connect to their electricity. While our cook and captain were friendly enough, they spoke little to no English, so my husband and I couldn't really ask any questions about what we were seeing, what we were eating, etc. Also, while there are lights on the boat deck, they're quite dim and a funny color (pinkish?). As a result, we ended up going to be quite early. If we were to choose again, we wouldn't do this again.

Forte Cochi (Heritage Hotel)

This was our last stay for our two-week visit to India. Forte Cochi is such a cute hotel with a lot of character! Our room was spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was outstanding! The hotel is also located in a cute part of the city with shops all around. We will definitely stay here again.

The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa

We stayed two nights at the Metropolitan Hotel & Spa while in Dehli. The hotel was clean, and the employees were nice and attentive without being overbearing. We ate breakfast each morning at the restaurant, which had plenty of Indian and Western options. The only negative aspect of this hotel is that the Wi-Fi connection was adequate in the common areas but spotty in the rooms.

Our stay at the ITC Mughal was very nice. The hotel & rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with many options in common areas for exploring and lounging. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast included in our stay was a massive buffet with Indian and Western options. We also got a massage while staying here, and it was well-priced and good.

Chokhi Dhani Resort

Several friends from India recommended Chokhi Dhani to us. So, in fairness, I don't think we had the right expectations when we arrived. We just trusted their recommendation without much research. Chokhi Dhani is a resort modeled after a traditional Rajasthani village. Each room is designed as an individual "hut/house." In the evening, the grounds around the rooms were dimly lit, and few people were eating in the restaurant or outdoor buffet area. I'm guessing that most guests were next door where the shows, activities, shopping, and traditional Rajasthani restaurants are located. However, the dim lights and sparsely populated grounds were offputting. Regarding the activities next door, they were okay, but they seemed kind of cheesy. If you were visiting with children, I think it would have been more fun and interesting. Also, when we entered, we were told not to tip the performers, yet we had several who directly asked us for tips. The activities and shows are free, but it's an additional cost if you want to eat. It wasn't terrible - the rooms were clean, and the service was good. It just not what we had anticipated or wanted.

We stayed two nights at the Royal Heritage Haveli, and our room was HUGE! Built in the 18th century, they have done a very nice job of remodeling the building while keeping its integrity. The hotel is quiet and tranquil because there are only 18 rooms - a nice retreat after sightseeing all day! We ate one dinner and two breakfasts at the hotel, all of which were tasty.

A special trip to Paris and Colmar, France with my sister was made much easier with help from Mathilde and Kim Kim. It was such a comfort to have accommodations, tours, museums and train tickets all arranged in advance. We had a very special tour guide in Colmar where we learned more about the Alsace region and appreciated the history and beauty of the area. And Paris was beautiful as ever. How exciting to see the city as it prepares to host the Summer Olympics. The advice to book museums early in the day was very good. Prior to our trip, it was very helpful to have a phone conversation with Mathilde to answer our questions and ease any travel anxieties. Vive la France!

Our guides were all wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. The timing of all the activities worked great - spacing out tours, travel and free time. We had 10 days in Morocco with two drivers. The hotels selected by KimKim were just right for our price range, beautiful views of the countryside, clean, well appointed rooms and mostly quiet at night. The hotels in Fes and Marrakech in the bustling Medinas were oases of peace in the heart of the city.
Of particular note was Dar Rihana, in Dades, with exquisite dinners.

We had 10 days in Morocco with two drivers. What an awesome way to view the night sky!! The view from our dome was amazing!! We had all the comforts of home. The owners were great. Patrick knew we were looking for off the beaten path kind of sight seeing. He gave us directions to “Danseys pass”. Wow! Is all we can say. A one way gravel road that allowed us to view the mountains of New Zealand. Our glamping experience was awesome!!

Emerson did such a great job adjusting out trip to our preferences before we even put a deposit down. He was super accommodating leading up to our trip and made sure to adjust the plans as needed (due to weather). He checked in with us once arrived and was super receptive throughout the trip. He even gave us great recommendations for our free time. We had several local guides on this trip, and all of them were great with one minor exception. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their insight really gave much more meaning to the places we visited. The olive oil tasting outside Kalamata was simple fantastic. Rome was stunning with so much beauty and history everywhere. We loved wondering around the city and taking it all in. We had a private guide for the Roman Forum and Colosseum, and Maria was fantastic! She gave us so much historical information with a lot of laughs along the way. We also did a food tour that we loved! It was so nice to experience foods and areas we had not ventured to.

Pompeii was very overwhelming. Both from a historical point and a crowds place. It was great to learn so much, but a larger tour group made it feel more robotic and less personal.

Every minute in the Amalfi coast was straight from a fairytale. The people were amazing, the views were stunning, and the vibes were unmatched. We did a lemon farm tour on our first day and loved it so much! It ended up being a private tour, and we learned so much about the farm and its history– not to mention the lemoncello and lemon treat we got to try. We loved the lemoncello so much that we ordered an entire case to get us through life back home.

The highlight of our whole trip was a boat tour down the coast. It was a perfect way to see all of the towns along the coast. Was absolutely beautiful from that vantage point and I can’t believe how lucky we were to see it.

We spent our last day on Capri. Our guide, Giorgio was fantastic and showed us all of his favorite parts of the island. He was funny and charming, and seemed to know everyone. I can say with 100% confidence that he absolutely made our experience. Of course we had custom sandals made while on the island, and could not recommend more! It was really cool to watch, and now I have sandals to remind me of this trip anytime I wear them.

The hotel was trendy and clean, but situated in a very busy area. Leaving the hotel was like walking into a high school assembly with chaos everywhere. We got nearly no sleep as there was noise from the ally below all night long. It sounded like glass breaking over and over again. We were also unable to keep the air or fan on throughout the night, making us very uncomfortable. In addition to the above, the hotel would not help with our bags as we had been promised. Quite frustrating given the hotel entrance is hidden in an ally. The front door locks in the evening and you need to be buzzed up. Not an issue if someone is at the front desk to let you in, but this was not always the case. We had a few stressful evenings not knowing when someone would actually let us in, and got lucky to go in after others had exited the building. Overall, I would not recommend staying here if any other option is available.

Grand Hotel Excelsior was an absolute gem! It has amazing views, great service, and was very authentic. We were in a newly renovated room and it was perfect! Having a balcony overlooking the coast was such a wonderful way to wake up each day. The room was always clean and the staff so helpful. The shuttle was so much more valuable than we realized. Scheduling is easy and it always ran on time. It made getting to the pier and city center a breeze.

The guide at Perito Merino was excellent while the one at Patagonia was also very good but one step below at Perito Merino

However our driver at Patagonia n the same driver who drove us to El Calafate was not as good - very fussy n not really cooperative n a snob

Overall everything went very well
