This was our second time using kimkim travel (last year they organized our road trip to Ireland)... and thank you kimkim and Myaen - another "home run!" We just returned from a phenomenal 2-week self-guided trip to Japan, which included several days in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Naoshima Island, and Hakone. Myaen was superb as our Japan specialist, helping us think thru what made sense for 2-weeks, as well as recommending the right neighborhoods and hotels to stay in. Our focus for this trip was Japanese contemporary art, and we were not disappointed... so many wonderful museums, exhibits, and places to see. We were also delighted that our contact with our trip planner, Myaen, did not stop once the trip was planned and paid for. Myaen contacted us regularly before the trip, reminded us about appropriate local travel passes to purchase, how to use the visiting Japan website (which makes entry into Japan easier and faster), etc. And Myaen reached out almost daily to make sure the trip was going well, and that any questions we had were promptly answered. We plan on using kimkim again for our next adventure, and wholeheartedly recommend them to others. Kimkim listens, and helps you plan the trip you want - not the most expensive package they can sell. And if you are planning to visit Japan - ask for Myaen.

We wanted a traditional onsen experience and we got one. Our hotel was very traditional, and had several beautiful communal baths right on the property... Our days typically started with using the baths before breakfast, and again after dinner. While it was unfortunately too cloudy to see Mt. Fuji, the Hakone area was beautiful and relaxing. A great 3-day end to our 2-week trip.

We loved being in Kyoto. Within a few blocks of our hotel were temples, shrines, as well as many restaurants and shops. And it was very easy to get to the Bamboo forest and the Fushimi Inari Shrine. We spent three nights in Kyoto and could easily have enjoyed several more.

We stayed in Ginza, and as we started our trip in Tokyo, we were pretty jet-lagged and tired - and came close to not leaving Ginza. Boy are we glad we decided to make the short subway trip to Asakusa. Ginza is beautiful and modern, and not far away in Asakusa, you can get a feel for old Tokyo. Temples, shrines, and real neighborhoods. We even had dinner Sunday night outdoors on a small street where we were the only tourists.

Our favorite driver/guide was Luciana out of Siena. She helped us plan our day when the private tour was cancelled in Florence and the time was changed. We truly relaxed in Siena and felt very safe. Rome and the Amalfi coast plus Florence were memorable as well

We had a wonderful trip to Peru and Bolivia.

Kristy, the tour specialist, was very responsive with quotes and flexible with customizing our plan towards our style and what we want to do.

The local venues of hotels and resorts they used were great and local tour operators were fantastic too. Most of the tours were very well organized. The guides were attentive and knowledgeable. Even the drivers were very punctual, polite and professional. When there was a miscommunication, the problem was solved quickly. Kristy was responsive promptly to any questions and concerns we had during the trip as well.

Our trip was so much easier and less stressful because Kimkim and their local teams organized all of our guides, drivers, and transfers in advance. We didn't have to figure out how to get from one place to another. This way we were able to fit in more activities than we could have if we had been responsible for driving and arranging transportation.

Overall, we made fantastic memories and loved the trip. Many thanks to Kristy and local operators.

Dolores is very welcoming and a lovely guide She was an ideal introduction to Spain. and gave us so much insight into Gaudis incredible work, The next guide whose knowledge of history mixed with a fun sense of humor gave us such a delightful day in Sevilla. Our third guide Alfredo was very warm and sentimental while showing us the beautiful city of Ronda and White Villages. We finished off our stay in Spain in Nerja which was relaxing way to end our fabulous vacation. In all our trip was perfect thanks to the planning of every detail by our amazing travel agent Dalia.

We decided we wanted to visit Greece for two weeks, we knew we did not want to go it alone. We wanted the expertise of a company with representatives on the ground who would see us as distinct individuals, not as two more faceless customers. We contacted Kim Kim, and were directed to Be a Greek. From our initial contact with Effie, we knew we were in wonderful hands with a representative who wanted to coordinate the trip of our dreams. With input from us, Effie massaged our itinerary until it met our needs and was everything we hoped for. Our guides, from Athens to Crete to Santorini to Mykonos were superb. Our Seven Villages excursion in Crete was fun, informative and tasty. Our day on a fishing boat in Santorini exceeded our expectations, as did our visit to a vineyard and art gallery. We are so glad we ferried to Delos for a one-of-a-kind archeological exploration. Effie chose hotels that were perfect for us. Not only were the rooms and views to our liking, but the staff could not have been more responsive. A special shout out to Lithos in Mykonos and Cosmopolitan Suites in Santorini. Be a Greek was in contact with us daily to ensure we knew what we were doing that day, and that we were happy. The one transportation hiccup we had was quickly remedied. Be a Greek delivered as promised. We could not have asked for a better or more enthusiastic coordinator than Effie. Alan and I were so thrilled to be able to meet and hug her in person during our stay in Athens. To Effie, and Be a Greek, we say “Yamas!”

Ravi did an amazing job creating the ideal experience for our trip. We wanted: mountains, nature, tea, and history. And that is exactly what we got. Amritsar and staying at Ranjit’s Svaasa is a must do in order to learn and see the Golden Temple and Community Kitchen. I will also add visiting the India-Pakistan Border Ceremony as a truly unique experience. Next, McLeodganj is an oasis of peace and serenity. The mountains, monastic life, and connection to nature are unparalleled. Sonu, the local tour guide, gave an excellent tour and made our experience personal and connected. Stopping for a day in Palampur to visit Wah tea and stay at the Wah Lodge was well worth the time. The Lodge is gorgeous, the staff absolutely pleasant, and peaceful was the property. Afterwards we traveled to Shimla. This summer capital boasts of unique history as well as dramatic views. Stop at the Indian Coffee Cafe for a delightful cuppa and local experience. After a long train ride and then flight the next morning, we arrived in Darjeeling. The tea tour (Makaibari) and tasting (Mayukh) were exceptional. The local guide, Bipen, was attentive, kind, and well informed. Although our time of year to visit was rainy and foggy in Darjeeling, it was absolutely worth the trip to Northeast India. On our final day back in Dehli, we did a tour of Old Dehli. The Red Fort is a must see as well as walking the Chandni Chowk market. Yogi, our guide, did a great job adding personal touches such as stopping at the oldest Jalebi and Parantha stands for lunch.

Overall, our India experience was exactly what we wanted, and we have Ravi and kimkim to thank for it. We marveled at the past, present, and future of this remarkable country.

I was invited to Nepal for a work event and only had four days to visit Nepal

With lots of flexibility, considering my interests and time limits, Raj and his team organized a simply amazing four-day trip for me. From the narrow streets of Patan and the cultural nuances of Kathmandu's Hindu and Buddhist communities to a beautiful hike in Nagarkot and the stunning temples of Bakthapur!

Everything was planned to the detail: the tours, the historical and cultural background explanations, the food and the local delights to enjoy. The drivers were extremely professional and, my guide, Bipin, was not only an incredible professional as well, but also one of the nicest and most attentive persons I've ever met!

Cannot highly enough recommend Social Tours! The vision behind the company is also a plus, for they promote local sustainable development and care about all the people they work with. I can´t wait to come again to Nepal to plan a week-long hike with them!!

Margarita was excellent during the trip and made sure to check in every day to see how the tours were going. The team in Cartagena was excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. Luis really took care of us during the tour in the national aviary and the trip to the Rosario islands, and helped us admire the nature there with his knowledge of the local wildlife. They were also able to adapt when we had to change locations due to AC issues, which was a great help. Carolina was amazing during our time in San Andres and met with us on our arrival to go over the itinerary. She also made sure to meet with us every day before the boat trips to confirm the tours, guide us through the process, and recommend local restaurants with traditional food. Because of Margarita, we had a great time in the Caribbean region of Colombia and I will definitely want to return as soon as possible!

We had a great time on our trip to Northern Albania and Kotor. Ed was very responsive and helped us with reservations before hand. Kreshnik was a very fun guide and made sure we had a fun and safe trip. While all of the trip was enjoyable the highlight for us had to be Valbone and Theth. While the weather was not fully cooperative it was still a great hike and the area was beautiful.

There are not enough complimentary words to adequately describe how fabulous our guide Robert Pinčević (Robi) was. From helping us to plan our custom, 4-woman multisport trip, to showing us the most beautiful and amazing places, to going far above and beyond in taking care of us, Robi is the kind of guide one dreams of. He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Croatian: history, wine making, olive growing, etc. Plus he's a rafting guide, a sailor, a musician and probably a few more things we never got around to talking about. In short, you cannot go wrong in engaging his services - he's a remarkable human being.

Went on a 12 day Italy trip before we got on a viking ship in Venice. We had a group of 12 and Kim Kim scheduled the whole Italy leg of our journey. They picked us up at the airport and transported us to each hotel and on the last day took us to the ship. We never had to worry about anything because they did it all for us. Transportation, accommodations, food, tours, etc. Had a wonderful trip. I highly recommend going through Kim Kim and especially working with Eleni. She was great. We went to Florence, Seina, Italian Riveria, Lake como and Venice. Stayed in 5 hotels and did tours everyday. Loved the hiking, boat rides, walking tours, restaurants. It was all fantastic.

Had a great guide...Dannee we had a wonderful ride up the funicular, did an incredible hike and had an amazing lunch up on the mountain. There was alittle issue with timing and we were late to our boat ride so we ended up not being able to do the whole boat ride and we ended up getting just a ride back to our hotel area. It was alittle disappointing because I would have loved to experience the boat for a couple of hours, instead we only got 30 minutes.

His English and local knowledge are excellent and he’s always bright and cheery - always in a good mood and flexible, catering to our interests and needs. It was interesting to learn about his childhood growing up in the High Atlas Mountains with his nomadic family. Our local guides were friendly and informative with great English. We had a lot of laughs with Youssef in Chechouen and enjoyed Hanane’s gentle guiding in the very hectic Marrakech.

We were pleased with the English and local knowledge of our guides youssef in chefchouen he also had a good sence of humour.
Hanane was very good in rearranging our guided tour to suit us and had very good english.
Karim was a great driver with good english and a happy disposition also quite happy to arrange things to suit us. We felt very safe like a family.

Elani from Kim Kim was amazing!!! She did an incredible job on this post extension from our viking cruise. We stayed 4 nights in Athens Greece. Kim Kim provided a beautiful bus to transfer us to hotel in Athens. We went on several tours while in Athens and was always taken on these tours in a A/C bus with incredible bus drivers. We did a walking tour with a very knowledgeable guide, we went to poseidon and several ruins. Did a canal boat tour, had a lunch at a beautiful hillside winery. We did a 3 island boat tour to see Saronic Islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina which was breathtaking. We paid alittle more and got the VIP treatment and it was so worth it. Did some more touring around and had an amazing dinner at the local restaurant. The last day we went to Vouliagoneni lake and relaxed on our last day in Greece. There are a few things I would do differently. One I would spend alittle more money and get a 4 star hotel instead of a 3 star and secondly, I would not have preplanned meals, as I would prefer to pick food off a menu. Overall everything was great!!! I would definitely recommend using Kim Kim to plan my next vacation. This company uses the BEST guides and knows alot of great places to go. We had so much fun.

The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great. Best thing about this hotel was the roof top deck that we sat our every change we could to have a glass of wine and look at the Acropolis.

Free Day in Vouliagmeni Lake (for Linda & friends)

The place was beautiful. It was very relaxing, but the staff was not prepared for a group of 25 people. They didn't explain how the lunch was going to be serviced as a family style meal. We were all in separate lounge chairs and they brought food out in big bowls, but we didn't have individual plates so we couldn't just take some and pass it on. And quite honestly we didn't know we were supposed to do that. Lots of confusion. We were suppose to get a drink with our lunch and that didn't happen until lunch was over. In fact we got our beer 1 hour after the lunch was served. But it was still a cool place

Saronic Islands Day Cruise (for Linda & Friends)

Best Tour ever!!!!!!! We loved this boat ride. The drinks, food and scenery were amazing. We even saw Dolphins playing. It was by far my favorite tour. Walking around the islands was fun and stopping to get a drink was great. Loved this whole experience. They even gave me a hotdog and fries which was not on their normal menu. I can't say enough about this tour it was the BEST

Going through the cannel was amazing. The boat ride was fun and we learned alot. It was great walking up to the castle and the lunch was really nice. We went to a small town and walked around and had a dinner at a really nice restaurant with beautiful sunset views. Food was really good too. Had the best Greek salad. The only issue was we had a long ride home on the bus and for some reason the A/C was not working or bus driver did not turn it on so we were all sweating on the way home.

The Poseidon was really nice and very interesting to see. The Fish Tavern we had dinner at was in a great location on the water, but I did not like the meal. It was served family style and had alot of food that I would not eat. The red wine was very sweet and not good and there were alot of little bugs everywhere since we were on the water. Overall this was not a restaurant I would want to come back to. I am a very picky eater so some people would love this authentic restaurant, but not me.
