This is the first time I’ve used a travel agent and absolutely everything ran smoothly. From our driver, Eduardo, in Buenos Aires to our guides Rodolfo in Iguazu and Ramiro in Mendoza, everything ran like clockwork. Our visit to breathtaking Iguazu Falls was fun and informative; on our second day we did a bike and kayak trip with Alejandro and Nadia, and was definitely the highlight of our time in Iguazu. In Mendoza, we had two enjoyable and informative days with Ramiro at several wineries. On our third day, we were supposed to visit Puente del Inca and do a short hike in the Andes, but motion sickness got the best of me and we had to abort those plans on our way up.

Working with Natalia to plan this trip was a pleasure, she was very responsive and provided us with a customized the trip that was exactly what we wanted. We are looking forward to working with Natalia on our next trip to Argentina.

The itinerary planned for us was tailored to our interests. The guided excursions included hikes that allowed us to see amazing landscapes that you can’t get from a highway pull off. Our guides Damion of Ice Explores and Omar of South Coast Adventures gave us insight to the ever changing Iceland landscape and the history of its population. The links included in the itinerary were very helpful. The driving plan link to google maps along with Apple car play made finding our way around Iceland stress free. our favorite hotel of the trip was the Magma. This trip qualified as a check mark on our bucket list. We walked on glacier, saw seals swimming around icebergs , soaked in a geothermal river, walked up to a lava field, hiked into canyons where scenes from The Game of thrones was filmed, watched 10pm sunsets, gagged on fermented shark and much more.

Our trip was fantastic! The trip started badly with one of the worst aircraft delays I have ever experienced (24 hour delay with 12 hours sitting on plane). We were worried about meeting our driver at 12am as the flight kept getting pushed, as well as missing our morning tours, and being too late for hotel check in. Our local specialist, Brittany, however, made the experience easy and she ensured our driver was waiting for us (even with the delay), that our hotel knew we would be very late, and cancelled our morning tour on our request. The rest of the trip was amazing-we are passionate about wildlife and Brittany's suggested tours were perfect! We saw sloths, toucans, monkeys, crabs, snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, dolphins, deer, and so much more all in the wild. My son really enjoyed the night sloth tour, the hike through the Cloud Forest, and snorkeling off the catamaran. We had a great time and will be definitely going back!

The Kimkim team made our trip to Morocco seamless and so FUN. All our questions were answered patiently and informatively by Abdel and Said, and we had lots of questions! They honored our reservation for 2 years while Covid closed Morocco's borders. Our driver Ilias picked us up at the airport and continued to take care of us with a smile. He is a very good driver and escorted us with ease, laughter, joy and grace throughout our journey. Hennan gave us a wonderful tour through the Medina, gardens, and Bahia Palace. She was so kind and knowledgable and also very patient as we took extra time everywhere taking pictures and really soaking in the sites. Mohamed is an infectiously joyful and spiritual man who had us laughing and enjoying our hike through the George. Lunch with his family was very sweet as we ate delicious tagging and shared photos of our american home towns. Once in the desert, Hmad gave us a ride to a nomad family so we could learn about this kind of life. Hmad grew up with his nomadic, very wise grandmother and learned to revere nature and the rhythm of the desert.I loved talking philosophy with him. He runs the Tiziri Luxury Eco Camp where we stayed for one night. A magical sunset and full moon camel ride brought us to warm, inviting tents with very cosy, comfortable beds. the camp makes minimal impact as it recycles the water and uses solar energy. Hmad and the crew are amazing musicians and after a gourmet and surprising dinner, we enjoyed the drums and tunes floating through the desert air. Thank you Kimkim for understanding my familys interests and creating the perfect trip for us!

This has been my first experience with Kim Kim and it has been excellent through and through.
Michael and the team were super attentive and diligent from the start, when curating an itinerary according to my preferences and time available. Every request to change things I had, they were very responsive and gave me options right away.
Then, during the trip the communication was excellent, checking in with me through WhatsApp regularly and adjusting flights and timing as needed, on the go. Never had a question or a request not answered within the hour (thank you Zaira and Cristina as well). Traveling solo this was a tremendous support.
Also big thank you to all my local guides and drivers (more than 10!). Thank you for making me feel super welcome, for sharing their knowledge, tips, anecdotes and personal experiences of places with me. There’s nothing like getting to know a place and its people through the eyes of somebody really passionate about it.
All-in-all I rate my experience 9.5 (tip: when traveling from the mountains to the Caribbean coast, give yourself a couple of hours to adjust to the heat + humidity; I didn’t, jump into the streets immediately to explore Santa Marta and had to go back to the hotel because I was not feeling that well, lesson learnt for next time, because I hope to visit Colombia again, too many things to see!)

For many years, my husband enjoyed planning our vacations, but now, we are spoiled! Chris did a fabulous job planning our family vacation (and we enjoyed meeting him, too)! We spent ten days traveling to Athens and all through the Pelopennesian coast -- Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplio, Olympia, Delphi, and Rafina. The archaeological guides Chris engaged added so much to our experience, too. Our first guide, in Athens, laid the foundations for the trip. Our walk through the Acropolis and the museum were ten times better because of our knowledgeable and friendly guide. We were with Ilias Papadopoulos for a few days, too, and he really put history and mythology in context for us. We especially enjoyed Olympia - our guide there was a delight, the venue was practically deserted, and her interpretations of the statues and their meanings brought the entire park to life. Delphi was also a fascinating site: the guide again provided context for the visit. Learning how the stories, politics, theater, and everyday life evolved enriched the amazing experience. I apologize for not having everyone's names.

Having an itinerary (all conveyed through the app Wanderlog - complete with directions and suggestions) made the experience virtually stress-free. The hotels Chris chose for us fit our family of five very well -- The Noma in Athens was right at the heart of the action, yet it was quiet and commodious. The Anthemion in Nafplio was beautifully situated. Galixidi and the mountain towns lent a quaint and adventurous aspect to our trip (though we may have slightly regretted taking the beautiful but mountainous and rather harrowing route). Our car rental was also arranged by KimKim, and everything worked out very well.

Overall, I would highly recommend Chris and KimKim for travel planning and implementation. I can't imagine having to book each part ourselves, and I am grateful to them for making our family vacation and son's graduation trip an experience we will always treasure. Next time, THE ISLANDS!

Two of three rooms were facing the water, so that was nice. We weren't there for very long (it was our night-before-the-airport hotel), but it was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful - a lot of variety. I wonder if the Greek people eat so many desserts for breakfast or if they just think that Americans and other travelers do! Ha ha! Still, it was a breakfast full of a huge variety and we enjoyed it very much. The best part was the location and not having to stay at the airport!

What a beautiful place. The rooms were luxurious and the patios were exquisite! The view was amazing. I wish the one day we had marked as a "leisure" day would have been nice enough for us to have enjoyed the pool and maybe taken a hike in the fields, if that was allowed. (It rained all day.) The breakfasts were delightful -- we loved having such a wide selection and the dishes were refilled often. The location was convenient (since we had a car), and we were happy to stay a bit outside of town. We had two rooms (one for two people and one for three). I would have liked to have had a microwave or coffee maker in our room (for two). The staff was excellent -- there had been a small mix-up with the reservation, but it was quickly corrected and everyone was very solicitous.

We thought the Noma was ideally situated for our three days in Athens. The staff was friendly and responsive. We had three rooms reserved because of the size of our party, and each was different, but they all worked. We enjoyed the tiny balcony on the second floor. The elevator was nice, and there was a little lobby. Our bath towels were the size of hand towels, even after exchanging them (but another couple in our party had normal-sized towels). One of the rooms had a bathroom that was not exactly private from the rest of the room. We would have probably rather have gotten breakfast on our own -- what was offered was pretty plain and monotonous -- a croissant, eggs, and coffee -- no fruit, no pastries. The rooms were comfortable and stocked (for a fee). The best part about it was being able to step out right into the heart of Athens.

Wow - what meals we had here! We were only here for a late dinner (they gave us a lot of extra dishes to try, and they were fabulous), and breakfast. The breakfast was amazing -- they had such a variety, even of teas and coffees and desserts. The lobbies were cool -- actual Olympic torches (the family has a connection), and the pool area was beautiful, though we didn't have time to enjoy it. The rooms were spacious, if a little dated, and the staff was very nice. We purchased some olive oil to take home, too!

Nafplio Coast and Palamidi Castle Foothills Hike

While the information was interesting and we thought a lot of the guide, we concluded that we prefer more historic tours. I don't think we realized that this "hike" was actually more of a walk through the town. We had, on the rainy day, already walked through much of the town, and we had driven up to see the coast the day before. I can appreciate the intent of the hike, but it just wasn't for us.

Because one member of our party works in the wine industry, we were really looking forward to a tour so that he could compare the sites. We really only got to see the cellars and the showroom. We asked some questions, but the guide didn't go too far off-script. The tasting was okay -- we were given two whites and two reds. None of them knocked my socks off, so to speak. The lunch was fabulous and gave us a great taste (ha ha) of some Greek food we hadn't tried yet. The venue was very pretty.

My recommendations are the following: ** Change the pin in the Wanderlog app for the Delphi location. It took us to the town rather than to the site by the museum where we needed to meet the guide. We were therefore about twenty minutes late, and the guide had to leave us earlier than we would have liked (I think he had another tour). Delphi ended up being our shortest tour as a result. ** Make sure the drivers know where to drop the car off at the airport -- with a pin maybe on the app. This part caused a lot of stress and driving around, being unsure where to go. The person who dropped the car off to us was not clear, and it wasn't precise in the app. ** Make sure the driver knows what kind of gas to get! There are a lot of choices and we weren't really sure. Luckily, the service station people knew what to use !

While it was crowded and it was a windy, but sunny day, the experience of the Acropolis can't be beat. Our guide was extremely helpful in leading us around and providing the context for the experience. The viewers were very cool, and we loved that our guide showed us all over the museum, showing us the connections between the Acropolis and the museum, and teaching us about the history and the meanings behind the statues.

- Ancient Olympia Guided Tour (Self-Drive)

Our guide was different from the one originally scheduled, but she was fabulous and we are so happy she joined us for our late afternoon tour. She brought Olympia alive with knowledge and passion. She "crowned" our son after he beat my daughter running on the stadia. What an amazing experience! She shared her own archeological experiences with us as she filled in the years. She taught us about the meanings of the statues. I really couldn't compliment her enough -- this experience was our favorite of all of the days and tours.

Nikola was our trip planner for our honeymoon in Croatia and he was super helpful, easy to communicate with, and there for us for every step of the trip planning process and the actual trip itself. Nikola took into considerations our requests for types of tours we wanted to have, hotel accommodations, and even made dinner reservations for us. He answered all of our questions and provided a very detailed itenirary with contact details for all of our guides. We loved how customized the whole trip felt, it was a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxing time. We especially loved our tour guides Grgo for our "local way of life" tour in Hvar, Ivana for our walking tour of Dubrovnik, Nermina our guide at Plitvice national park, Petra for our horseback riding experience in Plitvice, and Olga for our food tour in Split. All of our guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made our honeymoon trip so memorable.

When I started planning our trip to Greece, I initially reached out to several travel planning organizations, filling out their interest questionnaire. Eleni was the only who responded with an initial itinerary that reflected my answers. From there, the planning process went very smoothly. We went through several versions, until we came up with the perfect trip for my husband and I. Throughout our two weeks in Greece, Eleni immediately responded to any questions, concerns or changes we needed help with. Her suggestions for activities and restaurants were spot on. We spent the majority of our time touring the archaeological sites in the Peloponnese and Athens. We toured Olympia, Delphi and Nafplio with guides that were archaeologists; they made the ruins come to life. We had two fabulous guided hikes with Fotis and Elani. And the entire trip was made stress free by our fabulous driver, Andreas. He was always where we needed him and provided comfort after a long day. Eleni had reserved very nice accommodations through out the stay and all of our transfers went off without a hitch. This trip was everything I had hoped for and more.

Amazing hike to see ancient monasteries and the Lousios Gorge. Fotis, our experienced guide, led us through the trail, while explaining the flora and history of the area. He also brought along a picnic lunch that included his own olives and oil. It was one of the highlights of the trip.

Our itinerary was everything we hoped it would be! Hakim took the time to create exactly what we were looking for - a mix of culture, history, and food. Now I must turn my attention to a review of our guide , Abdillah Aitbahman, (Abdul) our driver and guide, who ultimately made our trip seemingly the best it could have been. We traveled between seven main destinations for nine days, and throughout the whole time Abdul was the utmost patient, kind, helpful and personable, as well as of course being a proficient and professional driver, who speaks fluent English. All along the way pointing out and explaining countless sights and traditions that we saw as we drove, so many things we wouldn't have really seen or learned if Abdul wasn't so knowledgeable.
When in cities such as Fes and Chefchaouen where we needed a tour guide licensed for the medinas, he was ahead of connecting us with guides that were very informed, reliable and spoke English in addition to being highly personable and kind. Abdul wasn't just kind, highly knowledgeable on local history and traditions, he was particularly inviting and even shared music popular to locals, which is exactly what I would hope for in a more than ideal guide. We also got a whole reel of photos after the trip that he took of us along the way, which is just a bonus. We felt the need to make the point that we didn't just feel like we were being driven around by a driver, we felt like we were taking a road trip with a Moroccan friend.
He had the uncanny ability to anticipate our needs and plan accordingly.

Thank you for connecting us with such a friend, and specifically thanks to Abdul for making our journey through Morocco the most relaxed, informative, interesting and awesome it could have been!

All we might have done differently would be to stay for more than nine days in order to see a couple more cities such as Essaouira, possibly Tangier and tours into smaller villages. But the trip was made the best because of our driver, guide and friend Abdul. We wish to make sure that Kimkim, the local agency and potential Morocco visitors to know what a difference Abdul made being such a great driver, guide, friend and just a great guy.

Robi is very passionate about Croatia and very knowledgable of the areas we visited. His sense of humour was appreciated daily. He was also very flexible in changing our itinerary any time to meet our requests.

Well, our trip to Greece this 2022 spring was excellent. We visited Athens and the islands Naxos, Milos, Santorini and Crete. We worked extensively with Dimitris and Tatialena to schedule a trip that reflected our interests. They had many suggestions and responded positively to our numerous travel and sightseeing requests. The ferry scheduling and local flight arrangements went off without a hitch. Dimitris kept in touch both before and during our trip via emails, which was much appreciated.

We had a few bumps in the planning, not the least being the pandemic caused us to reschedule twice and incur a larger fee once we finally committed to a date. We started planning in Nov, 2019 and finally made the trip in May, 2022. We also happened to schedule day tours during the Greek May Day holiday of May 1 and May 2 when most sightseeing opportunities and museums were shut down. This caused us to do some last-minute rescheduling.

We would recommend planning your trip with Kimkim. I would encourage the client to become an active partner in the trip planning to get the most out of their trip. Read up on your area of interest so you don't miss out on important / interesting sites, festivals, holidays, etc. We would also suggest giving yourself sufficient lead time (six months) in order to tailor the trip to your expectations.

First let me just say that this trip was great. There's no other way to put it, and our guides Muhammad, Muhammad, Mamoud and Mustafa were all amazing.

Muhammad 1 who took us through the temples in Aswan and Luxor was very animated and knew the history backwards and forwards. We really felt like we truly knew Egyptian history by the time he was done with us, and his passion for it made it more fun.

Mamoud whipped us through the airports like a champ weaving us in and out and making sure we were all set on our flights. I don't know that we would have gotten where we need to go without him to be honest! And the fact that he was a local helped us get through security checkpoints faster. He was also a smiling face when we got off the first plane super late in the evening, so he really helped set the tone for the trip and did an awesome job.

Muhammad 2 spoke English about as good as Rob and I and really helped us to learn about the culture more. He was awesome, funny and down to earth, and we really feel like we made a friend in him. He also knew a lot of history and was our guide for one of my most favorite experiences ever on a trip to date, camping in the White Desert. Ask him about the UFO's we saw there... :D

Mustafa was also super! He drove through the Black and White Desert sand like the pro that he is, and while it was very exhilarating (I may or may not have screamed a couple times lol) I somehow felt very safe with him. He was calm, nice and could sing and play instruments well too, which he did for us while camping!! Loved it so much. He was also a really great cook! I prob gained 10 lbs from his food alone. Lol

Overall, the great great memories made on this trip will stick with us for a lifetime. Seeing all the ancient sites and temples, flying in a hot air balloon over Egypt (What!!??), riding camels around the pyramids, camping in the White Desert (absolute fave!!), cruising down the Nile and meeting some of the greatest people ever was worth every penny spent! 10/10 trip.

I loved that this was a little different than what we had been doing and was a change of scenery. Somehow sticking your toes in the Red Sea is just a cool experience everyone needs to have. Also, it helped that the resort we stayed at was absolutely amazing.

Everything, except the heat in a few of the cities during the afternoon. Lol But it wasn't unbearable.

Food

Loved the variety of food we had throughout the trip. Some of the more authentic Egyptian dishes were very tasty to me, and I'm a picky eater. If anything, I could say we were fed too much!! Haha

Let's just say I made it out alive and that's saying something when it comes to Egypt driving!! Haha The guides and staff were all so pleasant and friendly as well.

We got where we needed to get on time and usually made it with time to spare! All of our drivers were very good and I only squealed a couple times!! Haha

Bruno was great to work with. Starting with our rough ideas, he plotted out a wonderful 6-day tour of Istria. He was very patient with my many queries and modifications. I highly recommend him for any tour to Croatia.

Tips for future travelers

One drawback is the great variety of steps—often unexpected—of different height, width, material, type (spiral, regular). In short, if you have mobility issues, your might be unhappy.

We had a great time and enjoyed all the planned activities! it was a bummer about the train strike and missing Inca trail but kimkim was able to pivot and help rework travel plans quickly. Would book with them again :)

Loud street noise, we had to change rooms for the second night. Second room had a leaky toilet and the room smelled slightly of sewage.

Tips for future travelers

Splurge for a nicer spot in Cusco. Tierra viva hotels are usually perfect- clean and basic. We stayed in them almost our entire trip. However, would not recommend this one

I was disappointed in the “llama sanctuary” I wanted to interact more with the llamas and alpacas. The experience at the “llama sanctuary” is basically just walking past corrals of llamas (you can feed them though, which is fun)

Kimkim saved us because inly 5-6 days before our sudden departure to Norway they managed to make our 7 days beautiful and not too stressful like we asked. Tom Christer was very kind and helpful. He responded fast on our questions and requests.

A note that our room in Oslo was so small, that we could hardly open our luggages. And we requested a comfort trip.

Other than that the itinerary and accommodation were perfect for us. Thanks so much Tom and Kimkim!!
