We traveled to Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto for 7 days. Sandy arranged all of our transportation, hotels and several guides and outings. Beginning in Toyko, we spent a day with a guide which was very helpful because it helped us get familiar with the public transportation. After that we were able to wonder around the city easily with helpful suggestions on what to visit based on the areas we were in. Our hotel, Shiba Park Hotel, was perfect for us. The neighborhood was more relaxed and low key, but still very accessible to parks, shrines and temples that we wanted to visit.
Next, we traveled to Hakone. We had a wonderful driver and guide get us down there and we enjoyed the Mishami Skywalk and ziplining through the nature. I loved stopping in this town, as it was fun to wander along Lake Ashi and was a nice respite from being in the busy city. It was amazing how green and lush the entire area was. And don't miss staying at a ryokan so you can experience the onsen - a wonderful, relaxing experience and I was able to get a much needed massage (from all the walking!)
We then traveled by bullet train down to Kyoto. Traveling by train was the best, in my opinion, because it allowed us to sightsee and still travel efficiently. I loved Kyoto. It had a smaller, older feel than Tokyo. It felt like you could wander for hours, stopping to look a temples and shrines at almost every corner and grabbing a bite to eat and drink - which is exactly what we did. We opted to walk most of the city to see things and enjoyed going at our own pace. Sandy set up a sake tasting tour which was great. It was in a cool neighborhood we probably would not have a chance to visit - it was informative and a great group of people. We also rented kimonos one afternoon and participated in a traditional tea ceremony - a true highlight of the trip! It was a wonderful activity that brought us to a neighborhood we ended up hanging out in for hours - the ceremony itself was calming and culturally informative. The woman who lead it was wonderful.
Overall, we had a great trip. Unfortunately, we did not have as much time as I felt necessary to really experience everything we wanted to do and see, but Sandy made the most of the time we did have! Would definitely use this service again!

Our trip planned by Giorgia was nothing short of amazing. She planned a very throughout itinerary that helped guide me day to day. The hotel Color Navano was cute and perfect. There were lots to do around it. I would skip the food tour next time as I didn’t find it that enjoyable and could have spent my evening dinning anywhere. The colosseum tour with Liv Tours is a must. It was our favorite thing we did in Rome. In Sorrento I do wish we could have stayed in a hotel closer to the center since there were alot of other closer options in our price range. Hotel Florida is very far (45 minute incline walk) to the ferry and 30 minute walk to the center. The 8 hour Amalfi coast tour was very long and I don’t think the description was accurate because I thought the guide would show us around but it’s basically just a private driver to 3 cities where the driver drops you off and tells you to meet back up in 1.5 hours. The private drivers were a life saver every time we have them since taxis and Ubers are not as easily accessible. Overall Kimkim did a great job of having their employees be available 24/7 for any issue we had. I would 1000 percent recommend them and would never go on a trip without them!

I cannot recommend this company enough. We had the most seamless experience visiting both Rome and the Amalfi coast this July. Our planners Gabriele and Elisa paid attention to every detail, ordering cars, train tickets, and ferries, and also planning excursions that fit our goals for our trip. The communication and teamwork was excellent to make our trip as perfect as possible. Our transfer service via private car arrived early for us every time and always got us where we needed to go with complimentary water bottles ready for us. We felt like we got to see and experience almost all of the most beautiful things in both Rome and the Amalfi coast. Our planners were extremely flexible when trying to make adjustments that fit our budget, so don’t be afraid to ask for edits when they send you ideas for your trip.

Highlights from our trip and things we would recommend are: A vespa tour around Rome (you have a driver and it’s so fun and quick to see the city this way), cooking class in Rome, seeing the Colosseum (we didn’t go in, but still amazing) and St. Peter’s Basilica (free entry, go early for a short line). In Amalfi coast we loved staying in our slow, family friendly town of Maiori, touring Pompeii, and taking the ferry to other cities on the coast. They made everything so easy. Definitely plan your trip with KimKim!

Hotel panorama was a cute hotel in the middle of a family friendly town. We loved the quietness and we thought that the hotel was comfortable. The rooms are cute, very minimal decoration and our window wasn’t able to open because we overlooked the roof. The lighting could be a little bit better in there and the TV was a standard one with channels only in Italian. It was a very nice location to the beach, but you do have to pay to get an umbrella and chairs. The pool area had a few sets of chairs in the pool is small and shallow. The workers were so friendly and helpful and all the food we had in the area was amazing. We loved playing cards on the rooftop terrace and grabbing a drink while looking out at the view.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Modigliani. The location was central to walk to everything, we did not buy a single taxi when in Rome. It was nice that it was tucked away in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. The beds were a little hard and our shower door was missing, The breakfast was pretty small with not a lot of selection. Otherwise, the front desk was always available and helpful.

This is our favorite experience throughout our time in Italy. Our two guides were so kind and intentional. We got to drink wine and eat cheese in a cave, which was a super cool experience. It was the best way to see the city, hands-down. We got to see so many things and a beautiful view of the entire city. We felt safe the entire time which was initially a worry for us. They ask where you have and haven’t been and made us a list of places to go on a Rome map. So kind! It was so fun and we’d highly recommend.

So many stairs. It said this activity was walkable, but this was a whole workout.

I had not used a tour service before, but traveling with my parents and teenage children it was a great way to get 6 people around the Loire Valley without having to drive ourselves or arrange all the English language tours. Mélanie was wonderful to work with and we were able to select a variety of chateau visits, a wine tasting and a private lunch that were all outstanding experiences. The food and wines were wonderful and everyone we met along the way was so welcoming and helpful. The tour guides arranged through À la française, Chloë and Camille, were so knowledgeable about the region and the chateaus and flexible in pacing the tour for us. They were wonderful traveling companions for the drives as well, and we learned a lot about life in France from them. Our driver Tony was wonderful at navigating the roads in Paris, giving us time in Orleans to visit the cathedral and explore the city center and have lunch on the way to Amboise and getting us back to Paris to both Gare de lest and CDG airport. There was a lot of travel to arrange and Melanie managed it all for us, with options we could choose from to make it the best fit for us. It was a wonderful experience and I would not hesitate to use KimKim again.

The hotel was a good location with a manageable walk to shopping and restaurants, but the area that was open longer in the evenings in Amboise was further from the hotel. The rooms were well appointed and very spacious. On a cooler week, the large windows would be great, but the central air conditioning was challenged by the very high temperatures and could not be regulated in each room, so even closing the curtains during the days it was quite warm in the rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was a nice variety. It was wonderful to have a swimming pool for the hot days, but it closed at 8:00 pm which made it difficult to use after a day of tours and dinner in town - seems like it could be kept open until 9 pm in the summer when the sun does not set before 9:30.

A fascinating small chateau where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years. The gardens were huge and the life size interactive inventions are fun for all ages to see brought to life. We could have spent even more time there.

Aleksandra planned an incredible trip to Ireland for my father and me, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, she was professional, attentive, and thoughtful in curating an itinerary that suited both our interests and pace.

What really stood out was her responsiveness, not just during the planning phase, but throughout our actual trip. When a few last-minute changes came up, she handled them quickly and efficiently, taking the stress out of the situation entirely.

Our honeymoon was pure magic from the first moment to the last! The planning and logistics of this trip was flawless and I highly recommend using Andrea and kimkim! We were blown away.

I really liked the food tour in Bologna but I did not like the tour in Milan.

Kim Kim and its local partner Authentic Ecuador planned and implemented a seamless extremely well run 17- day mostly private tour of Quito, the Galapagos, Lima and Machu Picchu. The hotels they selected were top of the line and first-rate with excellent rooms and wonderful breakfasts. Most importantly, all of the guides ( and support personnel, such as drivers) were wonderful. The trip organiser Paul did an exceptional job keeping abreast of every detail. He made a special visit to our hotel in Quito to personally meet and greet us. Special mention should also go to our guide in Quito (Jose)m Jacome who was very helpful in showing us this beautiful City, to Julio Quispe in Cusco (and Machu Picchu) who was an exceptional guide in every respect and went way beyond the call of duty in assisting us with a health issue, to Bosco Villene who made sure our time in Lima and our flight to Cusco went very well, and to all of the guides and local contacts in the Falapsgos including but not limited to Astrid Freire who were both extremely knowledgeable and competent at their jobs and dedicated to their beautiful well-preserved islands.

With the help of Serendipity Adventures, we had an unforgettable vacation to Costa Rica. I have never planned a trip out of the United States, and had never been to Costa Rica, so I was intimidated. The team at Serendipity Adventures made planning the trip so easy! All of the excursion companies the used were top notch. They also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, communicated promptly throughout the trip with further recommendations and travel tips. They sent links to google maps when we travelled throughout the country and even helped us with picking up our rental car on the last day. Every recommendations they gave us was spot on. Highly recommend Serendipity Adventures and would use them for trips to Costa Rica in the future.

Sienna was amazing in helping us plan and then implement our whole trip to Greece. Each activity we did during the trip was engaging and fun. There isn’t it much I would change.

Where to even begin? This was possibly the BEST vacation my daughter and I have ever been on. From being met at the airport when we landed, to being dropped off again at the airport for our flight back home, we were cared for the entire time. Ioannis and Lea crafted a fantastic itinerary and the local guides (shout outs to Micheal, Iliana, and Anastasia) could not have been kinder or more knowledgeable. It felt like everyone gave 110% naturally. When I had a question mid-trip, Lea responded within minutes with all the additional information I needed.

He picked hotels that were centrally located and upscale, he planned activities that were a unique way to see the country like our ferry to Rosendal. We loved our local tour guide John in Bergen, he shared so much history and knowledge about the city and was engaging throughout. I loved how he had pictures of areas from the past that we were looking at today to see how things have evolved. Mathia was communicative throughout the whole process and helped us figure out what would be worth our short time in the country. Would absolutely recommend kimkim and Mathia!

My favorite hotel of our trip! The building has such a history to it that is highlighted and celebrated throughout your experience. The rooms were so nice and thoughtfully decorated. I loved that they had a guidebook with recommendations from the staff throughout the hotel. The bathrooms were large with nice showers. The restaurant downstairs Atlas was so good for breakfast and has an amazing Caesar salad. Nice gym, the sauna was down for maintenance, but we were able to use the one at the Clarion during that time

All of the guides for the many tours we took were so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, we never felt rushed to hurry through any of our planned activities. It was an amazing and memorable trip, made possible with the meticulous planning of Rita and her colleagues at kimkim.

A very well planned out trip. I appreciated the detail in the itinerary and the restaurant suggestions were delicious. If ever we had a question or concern, Mathilde was very attentive and answered immediately. So was the team when we had to dial the number.
Most memorable experiences involved our excursions: cycling and kayaking in Grindelwald and jumping into the lake during our kayaking trip with our guide. All the excursions were so much fun, beautiful, with awesome guides. I really enjoyed hiking and taking in the scenery. All hotels were great, except I do recommend offering rooms with air conditioning, especially for Americans. The fluers hotel in zermatt did not have this. Also, we had the issue with the wellenberg hotel in Zurich regarding the shower and no one being able to help us. the train experience was particularly easy and very convenient. We were able to venture off without the itinerary due to the ease of the transportation system. Everything was wonderful and we appreciate the effort that was put into our trip. Thank you

All of our guides did an excellent job. They were able to answer all the questions we had, were flexible when any changes were needed and extremely helpful when there was a medical emergency. Personally, I would have preferred staying a little longer at each place rather then moving every day or every two days from one place to another.

Amazing Family Trip to Scotland! This is my second trip that was planned by the Kim Kim team and I was very happy with the itinerary and accommodations. The hotels were all centrally located and met our budget. The Three Mile Island tour was fantastic and we also loved the Isle of Skye tour.

Eddie was our guide at DeHoop Nature Preserve. We had a great time seeing all of the animals in the area. We had never seen so many zebras before. The chef made some amazing meals. Everythi ng tasted great.

We have worked with Kim Kimfor multiple trips and Moonika has planned the last several for us. She has come to understand our requirements and expectations as travellers (as a couple and a family with grown children) and we count on her to find unexpected and different itineraries that allow us to really experience new countries. This trip was no exception. Yes, we visit the capital cities - but Moonika ensures we explore the hidden gems and little towns with guides who (for the most part) fit our style of learning and interacting. Even the drivers she finds are pretty great. Moonika was available when we needed her and stayed in touch with us to be sure all was okay. She is truly a professional.

Due to flight complications and arriving later than expected, our walking and food tour were combined. It all worked out great though. Our guide (Dov) was very informative, friendly and full of energy. She took the time to explain many cultural aspects related to food, people, art and history. Her communication style was friendly and warm.

What a great way to see a countryside. The ride itself was perfect. Great, professional captain who made everyone feel safe and comfortable. The drivers to and from the take off site were not super friendly and didn't speak with any of us which was too bad.
