Monika, we can’t thank you enough for helping us plan a trip of a lifetime. After a couple itineraries, you were able to put together one that fit exactly what we were looking for. We got to see the beautiful South Island of New Zealand by doing the “fly-cruise-fly”, renting a car, glamping and multiple hikes/walks. We had an amazing time!!!

Mieke, our wonderful specialist was nothing but excellent in everything she planned & organized for us.
From the day we started to plan our trip she was always available to answer our questions & was very timely in getting back to us despite the time difference.
The highlight was we got to meet her.

Emerson did such a great job adjusting out trip to our preferences before we even put a deposit down. He was super accommodating leading up to our trip and made sure to adjust the plans as needed (due to weather). He checked in with us once arrived and was super receptive throughout the trip. He even gave us great recommendations for our free time. I would highly recommend booking a trip through kimkim to ease the stress of trip planning and make sure you get all the best opportunities for tourism!

We had several local guides on this trip, and all of them were great with one minor exception. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their insight really gave much more meaning to the places we visited.

The olive oil tasting outside Kalamata was simple fantastic. Not only was the tasting interesting, the homecooked meal afterwards was the best of the trip.

The in-country assistance during the trip was very quick and extremely helpful.

The KimKim team put together THE best schedule/itinerary for our recent trip to Italy. Their planning detail was amazing, and all aspects of the trip worked like clockwork. We had private drivers chauffeuring us everywhere…from airport to train stations to tours of the Amalfi Coast. Drivers were exceptionally professional. All of the tours they arranged were private or small groups (6 or fewer people), and tour guides were amazing. We’ve already begun planning a trip to Northern Italy in 2025…and definitely looking to KimKim to again work their magic.

Maria Grazie did an amazing job in putting together the initial tour. She was so patient in addressing our many trip plan changes. Overall it was a great trip. The hotel on Tuscany was not what we expected. The staff, one person, was not friendly or welcoming. We had to figure out a scooter tour on our one. There was no concierge and no shuttle. The pick up in Sorrento was a mess. A driver showed up with a sedan and not a van. He was rude and unhelpful. We had to wait over an hour for a van and our train ride to Rome was delayed by an hour. We arrived to Tome later than expected which impacted my last day with my cousins.

Emerson was an amazing guide from the beginning stages of planning to the end of our journey! He helped a group of friends and I create an unforgettable experience, and provided excellent service throughout the entire process. I couldn't recommend Emerson and the KimKim website more!

Our trip was absolutely perfect and lived up to every expectation we had!

Rome was stunning with so much beauty and history everywhere. We loved wondering around the city and taking it all in. We had a private guide for the Roman Forum and Colosseum, and Maria was fantastic! She gave us so much historical information with a lot of laughs along the way. We also did a food tour that we loved! It was so nice to experience foods and areas we had not ventured to.

Pompeii was very overwhelming. Both from a historical point and a crowds place. It was great to learn so much, but a larger tour group made it feel more robotic and less personal.

Every minute in the Amalfi coast was straight from a fairytale. The people were amazing, the views were stunning, and the vibes were unmatched. We did a lemon farm tour on our first day and loved it so much! It ended up being a private tour, and we learned so much about the farm and its history– not to mention the lemoncello and lemon treat we got to try. We loved the lemoncello so much that we ordered an entire case to get us through life back home.

The highlight of our whole trip was a boat tour down the coast. It was a perfect way to see all of the towns along the coast. Was absolutely beautiful from that vantage point and I can’t believe how lucky we were to see it.

We spent our last day on Capri. Our guide, Giorgio was fantastic and showed us all of his favorite parts of the island. He was funny and charming, and seemed to know everyone. I can say with 100% confidence that he absolutely made our experience. Of course we had custom sandals made while on the island, and could not recommend more! It was really cool to watch, and now I have sandals to remind me of this trip anytime I wear them.

Grand Hotel Excelsior was an absolute gem! It has amazing views, great service, and was very authentic. We were in a newly renovated room and it was perfect! Having a balcony overlooking the coast was such a wonderful way to wake up each day. The room was always clean and the staff so helpful. The shuttle was so much more valuable than we realized. Scheduling is easy and it always ran on time. It made getting to the pier and city center a breeze.

The hotel was trendy and clean, but situated in a very busy area. Leaving the hotel was like walking into a high school assembly with chaos everywhere. We got nearly no sleep as there was noise from the ally below all night long. It sounded like glass breaking over and over again. We were also unable to keep the air or fan on throughout the night, making us very uncomfortable. In addition to the above, the hotel would not help with our bags as we had been promised. Quite frustrating given the hotel entrance is hidden in an ally. The front door locks in the evening and you need to be buzzed up. Not an issue if someone is at the front desk to let you in, but this was not always the case. We had a few stressful evenings not knowing when someone would actually let us in, and got lucky to go in after others had exited the building. Overall, I would not recommend staying here if any other option is available.

We are very impressed with the travel organization and all guides who were very imformative and sociable. The two guides we spent the most time with: Lam in the south and Hiep in the north were really helpful and personable, and we really liked spending time with them. They were both very flexible, and adjusted the program to fit our needs when necessary.
The program was intense, but we enjoyed all parts. The highlights were Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Ninh Binh and Halong Bay.

Uma was amazing with great local recommendations and was available throughout the trip with changes.

The process of using KimKim to find Eirini at Storywalking agency was incredibly easy and seamless. Eirini's knowledge of Italy to book drivers for day trips to Tuscany with a wine tasting and lunch that was outstanding, the Almafi coast car tours to Almafi & Revello along with a seperate day of hiking the path of the gods with a guide (enzo) who grew up in Positano and the best was the boat trip to Capri whit a crew that was fantastic! She picked 2 hotels for us that met our needs - in the center of the towns, clean, AC and king sized beds. While the Hotel Cavour Florence was a good, it paled in comparison to her pick for us in Positano with the Hotel Villa Gabrisa. HVG was bright clean, with fantasic view and staff - can't recommend this hotel enough! We finshed our trip in Rome with a private walking tour with Gioia whose knoweldge of the city's history made these "old building" really come alive with their rich history coming out in her descriptions.

The food and wine were outstanding!! we had a 5 bottle tasting paired with 4 courses of food - come hungry b/c the food is outstanding and the wine even better. They served a 30 year old balsamic vinegar that was life changing and makes all regular balsamic pale in comparison. A great range of wines with their lone white and multiple reds - made for a great afternoon.

Exclusive Capri Boat Tour from Positano

Italy

Having a small group ride to Capri was the way to go. Getitng a chance to see the whole island from the water so you could see the various grotto's was worth the time and money. With 12 people abord, made it a good size to hear the information and enjoy some space on the boat. The crew made the trip fun, serving drinks before and after time on Capri and even supplied a great caprese sandwich which saved a lot of money for lunch on the island!

The Path of the Gods Hike with Private transfer

This hike was breathtaking! Smartest thing we did was to get car service to begin in Bomerano and enjoy the views walking toward Nicolle (aka Positano) . Enzo our guide was a great historian sharing the rich history of the path, area and how people lived for hundreds of years. Can't recommend him enough for personality, creating a great pace which made the hike very enjoyable. Having a car at the end to avoid the long walk down was critical to not ruining our knee's for the rest of the trip.

Nadine was simply amazing! Throughout the planning process she was so dedicated to making sure our honeymoon was exactly what we wanted! She was so knowledgeable on the area and offered amazing recommendations for things to do and see outside of our itinerary. Traveling to another country can be intimidating but with the wealth of knowledge and resources provide by Nadine, we traveled with such confidence which made our trip SO enjoyable! When we had a personal matter come up that delayed the start of our trip, she was so caring and helped to make necessary adjustments. We cannot thank Nadine enough for making our trip one that we will remember for a lifetime!

We just returned from an awesome trip to Guatemala that Chris and his team arranged for us. Chris took the time to meet us for coffee the morning after we arrived so we could ask any questions and discuss our plans for the week- super friendly and made us feel immediately comfortable! We spent two days exploring with Jerry, who was wonderful as well! We did a walking tour of Antiqua and learned so much with him! The next day, a hike up the Payca volcano, which was definitely a highlight for us. We moved on to Panajachel for a few days and explored the surrounding towns with Pablo- loved it! Ivan, our driver was always on time for our adventures and incredibly kind and accommodating. I think private transportation and guides was key for us being able to relax and absorb our surroundings. This is a trip we will never forget and I would highly recommend Old Town Outfitters to anyone planning to visit beautiful Guatemala!

The summary first: in general, we are very pleased with our Namibia trip; it was a great experience and fulfilled our expectations.

Let me now give some more detailed, constructive feedback and please keep in mind that this was our fourth trip with Kimkim.

Positive things first:
- We were really satisfied with our guide/driver Pagge, who did his job without one mistake during our 14 days of traveling together. He was very experienced and knowledgeable, plus he gave us a lot of information even beyond classic information for tourists.
- All accommodations were fine. They were quite different in style (from tent style lodge to ordinary hotel) and we liked the diversity. Quite satisfied also with all arranged breakfasts and dinners!
- Most of the time the “intensity” of the trip was just optimal. Meaning that we had some activities every day (except first day), but we also had some free time for some rest or optional activities.

Not so optimal:
- If we compare with our previous Kimkim trips, preparations for this trip were “below Kimkim’s standards”:
o Starting with Kimkim platform: there were a lot of small mistakes (persistent wrong maps, inconsistency in texts, copy-past errors…)
o We needed several iterations before we came to acceptable plan (for example we asked for the driver at the very beginning…) and delays between iterations.
o Our contact Esther was always responsive and cooperative, but we believe that most of the time it was out of her power to fix the problems or to speed up the process.
- Additional surprise came when we got detailed plan from Namibian company executing the trip: plan was in several points different to the agreed Kimkim plan, but it was also more logical and more “executable”, so we accepted it.
o Important to add: during the trip we additionally tuned a trip a little and the trip was very good(!), so we are speaking here only about the preparation phase.
- It is not on us to judge what were the reasons for non-optimal preparation phase, but one simple explanation could be that Ester’s company was just not also the company later executing the trip

- We had one only operational “problem” at the beginning of our trip: we had Windhoek city tour planed for 10am on 8th April and we were waiting for a guide at the gate of the guesthouse. Nobody arrived, so at the reception we learned that they were just informed that the city was postponed till afternoon!? When we complained that we do not intend to wait for a guide the whole day in the hotel, we finally settled that we would meet with a guide by the church at 3pm and we later got originally planned city tour.

- Last comment is our subjective opinion that the whole trip was slightly overpriced. This opinion is based on our comparation with other three Kimkim trips (all of them were cheaper, but approximately same duration and all were including multiple internal flights) plus we learned during the trip that the cost of living in Namibia is quite low. Again, one simple explanation for the high cost could be that in this case just too many intermediate companies were involved.

To end in a positive tone: overall we were pleased with our Namibia trip.
