Michelle planned a fantastic trip! We loved New Zealand! Everyone has heard about the spectacular natural beauty - it is that and much more! In every corner of the country there are more awe inspiring views, fascinating microclimates to explore, gorgeous and well designed paths and treks (tracks), reserves and parks and open space, rural beauty with sheep - so many cute sheep! - and cows and horses, and rare protected species, - it makes your heart sing. What you may not know as much about are the people - their quality of life, the collective commitment to and appreciation of all the native flora and fauna . The steps they keep taking to more fully respect and integrate and honor the Maori. The pace is slow. People are patient, kind, easy going, generous. Your nervous system slows down. You realize it's possible to find a place where people live by different values and are proud of where they come from. Four 60-somethings, with two us celebrating our 70th. 3 weeks so we could see north and south islands. Our only regret - we should have planned a month. A few highlight places and excursions, thanks to Michelle. Milford sound. Stargazing in the hot springs of Lake Tekapo/Wanaka.. Farm and off-road tours. Hiking in Abel Tasman Natl Park and Mt. Cook. The Queenstown House B&B. Newton Heights B&B., visit to Flea Bay. The Te Papa Museum in Wellington. Te Karaka Lodge in Waikato. Kaikoura. And great food and wine everywhere. Thank you KimKIm, Michelle and the people of New Zealand for an uplifting adventure.

Kathrin did a great job for us! We really enjoyed our trip.

A few activities needed to be rescheduled because of weather, but the rescheduling process went very smoothly for the most part. One minor glitch was that the folks with the Milford Sound tour were trying to reach us because of a weather cancellation, but they did not have contact information for us so we did not find out about the cancellation until we went to check in for the activity. It would have been helpful to know about the cancellation earlier in the day so we could have make some other plans for that day.

A few of our favorite activities were Skydiving in Queenstown, the Fly/Cruise/Fly trip to Milford Sound, and the Glowworm evening activity in Rotorua.

Kateryna planned an amazing vacation in Scotland! She was super responsive at all times. She planned the trip according to all my must sees and helped me keep it within the budget I had planned. We had what could have been a disaster while on our flight to Scotland from the US our hotel canceled us for our first three nights. Kateryna had us rebooked into a new, and better, hotel and had our airport transfers adjusted before we even landed. I would recommend Kateryna to everyone I know and hope to plan a future trip with her some day.

I had the most amazing time in India,starting in Delhi,the guide Ganesh greeted me with a warm welcome and took me to meet my driver Brijesh who then drove us to my first hotel,he also stayed with me throughout my entire stay and was very polite,helpful and punctual,Dharmender is a truly passionate guide and showed me the Delhi sights over the next 2 days which are amazing.
In Agra with Ronit who is so knowledgeable,the guru of the Taj Mahal!, totally stunning architecture,so decorative and detailed,great at sunset too,thd most magical day,love my marble elephant and trinket box from the marble factory,so interesting to see all the items made from marble.
Greeted by Sanjay in Jaipur for Happy Holi celebrations,emmersed in a truly amazing lively atmosphere,had a grear time there with Sanjay and his friends,great music and outfit too.
Loved the Hawal Mahal and of course the shopping of shoes,bags and jewellery!
In Jodhpur Anish was very pround to show me around is home city, great clock tower and paintings around the city and an interesting tuk tuk ride! The hotel in Jodhpur was like an oasis in amongst all the hustle,the massage I had was wonderful!
In Udaipur Tej showed me to the evening folk dance show in whoch there was such talented people,the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, Divya was also full of facts about the city,very interesting.
Ganesh again met me in Delhi to fly back home, he was great getting me to the correct place for my onward journey and gave a great send off.
Aditya was there if I needed any infomation or help during my stay and always got back to me.
Ravi is great! always keeping me informed throught out my Indian journey from booking to arrival greeting,fabulous!

Monika worked hard to put together our New Zealand itinerary and was clearly knowledgeable about the country. For me, the boat trip around Doubtful Sound and hiking at Mount Cook were highlights. The "after hours" service that we contacted with questions during our trip was very responsive.

We loved everything about our recent trip to Portugal, which included stops in Lisbon, Porto, and Coimbra. KimKim was great, and Emily crafted an amazing trip for our family's vacation. The private guided food tour in Porto, the private guided e-bike tour in Porto along the river until it meets the sea, the private guided walk in the Alfama district of Lisbon, the private guided day trip to Fatima and Nazare, the private food tour of Lisbon, and the private guided tour of Sintra and nearby attractions were highlights of the trip -- everything was amazing! It must be said that the boutique hotels chosen for us were universally amazing, and in awesome locations! I loved how they use local brands and small hotels -- places we'd never know about if we were to do this on our own. And the private car transfers that KimKim arranged were universally perfect. All in all, an amazing first experience with KimKim. We're already planning our next trip with KimKim -- it's been an incredible experience. Thanks to Emily and her colleagues at KimKim!

Diego met us at the hotel in Puerto Aroya and gave us information about our schedule but did not provide a copy of our itinerary as I thought he would. Kayaking was great on day 2. Trip to North Seymour with Darwin—excellent guide. Snorkeling at las tunelas was wonderful! Julio was particularly exceptional with his walking guide on Isabela. All the boat cruises were excellent with delicious lunches.

Staff were friendly, everything was clean, and breakfast was good. However, we were booked in a tiny room with an air conditioner venting directly onto one side of the bed. My husband was able to make the AC situation tolerable. We travel light, luckily, each with a a carryon suitcase and a backpack so were able to manage in the small room. But missed the openness and good seating available in our first hotel. I was expecting a little more from a mid-range hotel.

Julio, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining! However, I couldn’t remember what this excursion included and wasn’t able to find the details online before we went. So I was a bit surprised at the length of the walk and would have worn tennis shoes had I known. Receiving a paper copy of the details of each excursion prior to the pickup would greatly help this situation.

A friend and I decided to take a last minute trip to Puerto Rico, and reached out to KimKim to help with the logistics, since neither of us had much time to manage it on our own. We had used KimKim previously and had a fantastic experience, so were eager to take advantage of their services again. Isabel was very pleasant, and clearly tried to be helpful. Our trip, however, didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped it would. We were given incorrect and contradictory information on several occasions, and had to do some major scrambling when we discovered that ferry tickets to Vieques (a key part of our trip) had not been booked. The places that Isabel recommended were lovely, but it seemed like we spent a lot of time trying to figure out when and where we were supposed to be.

Our major issue was with the digital layout of the itinerary. We both found it very difficult to navigate. For example, the addresses for hotels were not listed--you had to go to an embedded link to a digital map, which required that you have a GPS system. To be fair, this might have been because we chose not to use the KimKim app. I ALWAYS bring paper copies of any necessary info, as I have been to enough places that do not have reliable cell service. But I could find no easy way to download the digital itinerary (I might have missed it). So I was shuffling miscellaneous pieces of paper all week.

My takeaway is that we probably should not tried to book something as last minute as we did. I think Isabel did her best to create a cohesive itinerary for us, but we didn't take the important step of reviewing and fact-checking it to catch any potential disconnects until after we were already on our trip. A big lesson learned for us!

Kimkim helped to organize an amazing trip for us to Panama. Every guide and driver was punctual, warm, knowledgeable and made our trip both easier and more fulfilling. Special shout-outs to Julio, Juan Carlos, Roberto, and Mike! Our local specialist, Reyna, arranged unique and private tours for us of great venues and reserved lovely accommodations for us. She also went above and beyond to set up dinner reservations that I requested. Communication with the team was awesome throughout the process and every detail was attended to including homemade banana bread on our hike to The Lost Waterfalls. It will be hard to imagine travelling again in a country that is new to us and in which we don't speak the language without kimkim! The tour company lowered our stress considerably and enhanced our experience immeasureably.

The resort is pretty, clean, and provides a lovely oasis. It is a small, boutique establishment that is divinely serene. Even though it's on the water (a bay), there is not a sandy or swimmable beach. The 2 pools are pretty and refreshing and were quiet the days we were there. The dining area and meals are lovely. Our boating excursions were super fun and allowed for time on a white sand beach on a nearby uninhabited island, a tour of the mangroves, and views of monkeys and dolphins. Be prepared to wake up to the sound of howler monkeys at 6 am.

What a stunningly beautiful setting! The casitas are clean, spacious and private. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Yummy breakfast. It is about a 25 minute walk to downtown on steep hills. The walk there is downhill. We usually took a taxi back up the hill despite being in good shape.

Cloud Forest Hike: The Waterfalls Trail

This is a somewhat challenging steadily steep hike--a much enjoyed workout with beautiful views. I'm 64 and in good shape. I decided not to go to the 3rd waterfall as we were told it can be more slippery and you need to hold ropes to come down.

This was a super fun and relaxing tour. There was a delightful breeze as the boat whizzed past tankers and cruise ships to explore the little islands in the middle of the canal. We saw monkeys and sloths up close.

It was so delightful in a foreign country where we didn't know our way around or speak the language to be picked up by friendly, courteous drivers and guides. We learned so much from our conversations that enhanced our trip!

We had such an amazing trip! All the accommodations were wonderful, but the Sunday Morning Resort and Northern Lights Ranch were especially great. We would return to Finland just to stay there again (as well as for the incredible nature and kind finnish people).
The private sauna experience was an especially nice touch, and we had a blast Snowmobiling, with done in Pyha at the lucky ranch nearby.

The trip was great. Driver, Illyace, was terrific. Guides were great. My only suggestion for improvement would be more proactive engagement with the local planner. While I had done some reading, I didn’t have a full grasp of options around various cities. For example, Ali might have asked what we liked best when we travel, museums, historical sights, food, outdoor experiences etc.. the plannner could then make suggestions of things to do in each city/region.

Outside of that suggestion for improved planning, out trip was great. No logistical problems and quality services provided.

We had a terrific experience planning our trip through KimKim. Our agent, Leny, was fantastic to work with. She provided excellent hotel and travel suggestions and helped us design a wonderful itinerary. When we needed to make changes to our trip, she handled everything quickly and smoothly, which made the process stress-free.

One highlight was our stay at the FuFu resort in Hakone. It was absolutely amazing. The food and the onsen were 5 stars! The private driver and guide Lenu arranged were also delightful and made exploring easy and enjoyable.

We would definitely use KimKim again for future travel.

Day Trip from Osaka to Hiroshima with Bullet Train

We used kimkim to book our honeymoon. We cannot recommend it enough.

It was an incredible trip and everyone made sure to make us feel so special! We went to Tokyo, Atami, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagano — and honestly it exceeded every expectation we had. From setting up accommodation, travel and guides, it was worth every penny! The communication was smooth through the planning process. The platform on Kimkim made it super easy to connect.

We were matched with Oshinobi Travel, and worked with Hiroshi and Emi. From the start, they were courteous and careful in planning everything for us. From taking our desires into consideration to recommending specific excursions throughout our trip, they went above and beyond to make sure that we had the most amazing trip we could have hoped for. Our guides on the ground were just as amazing — Hiro took care of us in Tokyo and Hakone, Sally was our guide through Osaka and Kyoto, and Ryoma led us on the Fushimi Inari hike. Every single one of them was knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely made the trip so much better. They brought the history and culture to life at every shrine and temple we visited and we came home knowing so much more about Japan than we ever expected.

The food alone was worth the trip. We did a sushi making class and an Osaka-style Okonomiyaki class at CFlat which were both so fun — highly recommend! And the restaurants throughout were just outstanding. Our guides helped us with recommendations in each area, making sure we had the best experience and that we tried every lasty local dish.

We also got to snowboard and soak in some onsens up in Nagano which was the perfect way to wind down. The whole trip felt so well-balanced between culture, food, adventure, and just enjoying the scenery.

Can't recommend it enough. Already thinking about our next trip back!

My husband had reviewed this, but coming back to the KimKim site I realized I had not.

We had a fabulous trip to Croatia. We were lucky that the weather mostly cooperated, but the little rain we got din't hamper our activities.

The boutique hotels we stayed in where in interesting areas close to restaurants and very safe to wonder around. We loved all of them,

The activities Nicola booked matched what we were looking for and at times exceeded expectations.

We have enjoyed the trips we have taken so much we have two planned with KimKim.

We just finished a two week private tour of Hanoi, Chiang Mai and Bangkok with kimkim. He had two planners based out of Hanoi: Hien, who curated the trip for us, listened to our preferences and thoughtfully suggested activities. We knew this was going to be special. And Stephen, who took over from Hien to handle our needs pre-trip and during the trip. Both were amazing, and Stephen was always available, I don't think he ever sleeps!

Upon arrival, the first representative took our photo and then everyone after that had our photo and recognized us so it felt like a friend was waiting for us at each destination. Each of the tour guides brought something special to the trip. In Hanoi, Cuong is so passionate about his country and its rich history that it is hard not to appreciate it as well. He even offered to meet us before our official tour started to take us for our first street lunch.

In Chiang Mai we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter guide in Amie, whose knowledge of the customs and culture was very much appreciated. While in Chiang Mai we had to rearrange plans due to a medical emergency and Amie was in constant communication with us and really made us feel like we weren’t alone under not the best circumstances. We loved the video collage of photos she had taken of our time together and set to music. What a treat!

By the time we got to Bangkok, we needed a little more rest time than the itinerary allowed for but Jo Jo made it happen by abbreviating some of the stops while still ensuring we got to see and experience everything we wanted to. His extensive knowledge of Thailand is quite impressive. And through it all, Stephen was in contact with us to ensure there were no issues or to resolve anything that did come up. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would not hesitate to use kimkim for future trips.

Below expectation: Except hotel at EI Calafate and Las Torres, all other hotels are below my expectations.

Superb, wonderful, well planned and just what we had requested.
The one "hiccup" (delayed flight) was handled quickly and efficiently by Joaquina Alvarez. She provided responsive feedback during the trip.
The guides were excellent especially Claudio in Buenos Aires.
The drivers were all on time and helpful.

The hotels were all very good as expected but the Iguazu Pristine Luxury Camp was incredible.
The food was spectacular and the service was wonderful.
The surprise to me was how interesting Salta was. The hotel was pleasant but the manager Petal was particularly lovely and helpful.
Some wonderful dinners in the Balcarce area.

Our last night was spent at the Argentine Diner Experience and was an excellent cap to the vacation. In the future one could consider that as a beginning and save the Tango night towards the end.

Communication with Say Hueque was responsive and many of our questions would have been answered if we opened the Vamoos app sooner. I suggest making it very clear to new clients how important and comprehensive the app is.

We had a wonderful trip, and loved every minute. Thank you KimKim Team and especially Sandi for making our trip truly exciting and memorable. Everything worked smoothly, without one worry or issue. Planning with Sandi was really fun. She was extremely patient with my questions and changes. She listened to our concerns and planned accordingly. She was communicative throughout the planning and also while we were in Thailand. I couldn't have asked for a better trip planner. I would recommend Sandi highly to anyone!

We had fantastic tour guides. It was not possible to get one tour guide for all days in each location, so we had a different guide each day. And that proved to be fantastic! Each guide was different, and each offered terrific insights and details about everything we were seeing and experiencing. Special side trips and tastes in the markets were included!

Our guides in Bangkok, Leena and, sadly, please forgive me, I am forgetting the name of the lovely and fun guide we had on the second day, were amazing. Loved the Temples, the Palace, the Jim Thompson Museum, and on day two, the Railway Market and the Floating market were great, the guide full of personal and descriptive details, and the trip to the coconut farm much fun. We loved our visit to Chinatown and lunch with our guide in a very local and delicious restaurant.

Then in Chiang Mai, we had the guides Q and Faan, both of whom were amazing. SO much fun! Loved the first day Tuk Tuk tour of the Temples and the markets. Q showed us a very local food market in the morning, and told us a lot about the habits of the people, which was so memorable. The Khaos Soi lunch, the mango and sticky rice delicious, and being blessed by a Buddhist Monk was unforgettable. The next day trip to Lamphun with Faan was also fantastic. Blessed again by another Monk and saw exquisite temples. Very worth the day trip out of the city. Rich with history and beauty.

Finally, the trip to the ethical elephant preserve was a highlight. The guide we had there was so much fun and we learned so much, and enjoyed every minute. Wow, what an experience.

I can't say enough about the tour. From the planning with Sandi, to the logistics--communications from the local coordinator each day before to confirm the details of the next day, perfect pickups and no waiting-- to the really intelligent and interesting guides. I will recommend KimKim to anyone, and plan to use them for our next trip, wherever that may be!
