We had the most amazing two weeks in Italy. Melanie listened to what was important to us and what activities we liked and planned the perfect trip. She kept us fully informed in the months leading up to the trip but even more important was the support she gave us during the trip. She took the time to send us a welcome message, offer her services while we were travelling around and even sent through an outline of the day every morning with all the vouchers and timelines that we needed for that day. This extra service ensured that we had everything at hand that we needed and nothing was left to chance. She suggested restaurants and other activities that we might be interested in, she checked ferry timetables for us and sent us best wishes/farewell messages when we were leaving. Melanie was an integral part of what made our short time in Italy so enjoyable - we can't recommend her enough!

This was our 2nd time using kimkim; it's unlikely there will be a 3rd time.

We made clear when we planned this trip we wanted 4 rooms in Florence and 3 rooms in Rome (we were a group of 6 for 6 nights, and 5 for 3 nights). Kimkim only booked us 3 rooms in Florence, and we had to pay extra, at the last minute, for a fourth room which we were only able to secure for 2 of 4 nights in Florence. In Rome, we learned just before departing for Italy that kimkim had booked us only one room; thus, at the last minute, we had to pay way too much just to get a 2nd tiny room that three grown women had to share. This was a major error by kimkim.

In each Italian location, we had to pay an additional amount for "city taxes" about which kimkim never told us; they absolutely should have told us about this ahead of time.

Kimkim booked us on several tours. Some were very good, but too many of the booked tours were unsatisfactory because the guide was poor, the tour itself was just bad, or the audio quality was quite poor. There were instances where kimkim didn't provide detail where to go for the tour, told us incorrect start times, or provided incorrect travel times to get to the tour.

Given the money we paid, we didn't expect to take any tours with other people, but in two instances we were provided poor quality tours with at least 15 additional people. A tour of the Vatican was promoted as a 3 hour tour, but was only 2 hours, and we felt VERY rushed. Moreover, the guide failed to take us to St. Peter's Basilica, which we believe should be the highlight of any Vatican tour.

The driver Kimkim scheduled to take us to the Rome airport at 6:30 am failed to show up, causing us to scramble and squeeze into a tiny taxi. Multiple times during the trip, including when we attempted to figure out why the driver didn't show up, kimkim failed to answer its own after-hours "emergency line", which was absolutely inexcusable.

Bottom line ... for the substantial amount we paid, we expected a dramatically better experience.

We used KimKim for a trip to Croatia two years ago and had a wonderful experience. To the extent we had any issues, our Croatian kimkim travel agent gave us her phone number so that if/when we had issues, we had instant contact with her. Kimkim Italy did not provide us with similar information causing us much stress when we had issues.

Kimkim should be highly embarrassed about our experience. To make up for its errors, kimkim ultimately gave us about a 3% refund of the amount we paid ... ridiculously inadequate.

We created beautiful memories in Greece due to the hard work and organization of our loyal and dedicated people at Kim Kim. Not just planning our day to day activities, but providing transportation by private car, airplane or ferry to these activities or islands were taken care of. Our responsibilities just included having fun . Antonis of Kim Kim booked the most beautiful and accommodating hotels for us in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Each hotel, was walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We were updated everyday about the day's agenda and who would be meeting us at our hotel to bring us to various activities. Any questions or concerns that we may have come across, was just a call away via What's App. We are forever grateful to the care and attention used to plan our trip, because you truly created a dream trip for the 4 of us. Greece is too beautiful and amazing to risk missing out on what the country offers. We were in great hands, and we wholeheartedly credit Kim Kim and Antonis for that. Thank you and see you soon!

A big thank you to Giorgia for helping us plan such a memorable trip to Portugal in October 2024. She was very attentive to our goals and booked some fabulous adventures for us (2 couples in our 70's). Especially memorable was an all-day tour from Porto to the Douro Valley with Tania, and an all-day tour in rural Algarve with Rui. I had the most wonderful 6-day trip organised by Francisco via KimKim. As a solo traveller, I was a bit nervous, but Fransisco ensured I had a safe, action-packed trip through Chile and Bolivia. All logistics were taken care of. The tours were great, with guides who spoke English. The driver was safe when touring through Bolivia.

I would definitely refer my friends/family to Francisco for help in planning their trip in South America!

After initial correspondence with Tomaz, Grand Cuvée Tours put together a great itinerary, both making suggestions and taking on board any requests that we had. Any queries were answered promptly. We ended up with a trip that was exactly what we hoped for. There were days free for us to explore Bled at the start and Ljubljana at the end. In both locations we were given advice on activities and advance bookings were made for us for boat trips. This was particularly useful in Bled where boats to the island were otherwise full with tour groups. We were lucky that Vintgar Gorge was still open and was well worth a visit. We also enjoyed the funicular up to the castle in Ljubljana which was fascinating to explore.
For two days in the middle of our short holiday we had a brilliant driver, Urh, who couldn't be faulted. The drive through the mountains to Kranjska Gora was breathtaking with the added bonus of wall to wall sunshine and fabulous autumn colours. We continued to Velika Korita in the Soca Valley which was equally stunning. The crystal clear turquoise water in both places was beautiful. We also experienced delicious cheese and wine tasting stops on our journey to Piran on the coast. We had the morning to explore Piran before Urh drove us to Ljubljana via stops at the extraordinary Skocjan Caves and then Kobilarna Lipica to see the white horses at the Lipizzaner stud.
All three of our hotels (3star boutique) had helpful and friendly staff, were in great locations and were very comfortable.
All in all a fantastic job by everyone involved.

From the moment we contacted Jay and discussed what we wanted from the trip we felt comfortable. Would the weather be favourable and what would the cost for different levels of accommodation be? His responses were quick and detailed with the pros and cons.
All of our guides throughout the trip were local to the cities/areas we were visiting, therefore their knowledge was passionate and very informative. Assisting us with ATM's, best angles for photos, correct etiquette in temples and purchasing entry tickets on our behalf.
Choice of accommodation was amazing! We were blown away with the level of service from the moment we arrived, front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff.
Our driver for the majority of our trip was Mr Powan Dixit. He took great care of us. Ensuring we were informed of pickup times, checking we had all our belongings at all times, plenty of water each day and taking us to the local supermarket and laundry pickup on our way home. We had lots of laughs and good fun with Mr Powan Dixit.
Our driver in Varanasi, Mr Nedridge (spelling probably not right), went out of his way to help us with laundry and posting our postcards while we were sight seeing. Again we were taken good care of.
The company representatives in each city/area met us on arrival at the airports and accommodation ensuring a seamless check in and that we were happy with our room. They traveled with us airport departures, guiding us to the correct entrance and helping with entry tickets where necessary at the outside security area.
We would highly recommend KimKim and Bespoke India Holidays.

Favorite part was Day 4: Big Ice trek.
Least favorite and actually did not match the description was Day 3. There was no guide, just a driver that dropped the group off in one place and drove us back.
Overall though, it ended with a high.

A group of 4 of us just returned from a fabulous trip to Portugal arranged by João and his team, and wow, they did a wonderful job arranging our tour. All of the hotels were perfect for us, the drivers were professional and on time, and the experiences were well chosen and organized. There were a couple of minor glitches, including one tour guide who failed to take us to a port tasting, but travel is never about perfection. It is about caring people who do their best to provide a wonderful experience. And that is by and large what we got. We all feel like we got to experience some of the real Portugal: the kind people (including João himself), the amazing landscapes (Lagos, Portimao, the Douro River Valley) and fun activities (tile painting in Lisbon, port tasting and bridge climb in Porto, the convent hotel in Evora, the palace hotel in Cascais, e-bike rides on Lisbon and Cascais, farm and winery visits in the Alentejo and Douro). Put Portugal on your bucket list, and the planning in João's hands; you will not be disappointed! Thank you again João!

I've never worked with a travel agency before, but the experience was wonderful. We wanted to do a LOT of things, and I wasn't sure how to coordinate the order of activities, transportation, etc. - and it was all taken care of for me. The lodging choices were great, the trip was a nice mix of activities, and our guides were always on time. It was a great trip!

We had a well organized trip to Rwanda and enjoyed both the cultural side and the amazing wildlife. A big shout-out to our guide Kalif who was able to share his knowledge of animals, birds, food and customs.

This trip took a year to plan, though that time Lorena was so patient and communicated very well. The itinerary that she made for me was tweaked for my liking. Everything was to the T from pick up, tour, hotel, bus. The hotel that she picked was great. Lorena did an excellent job and her team was great.I was going to this trip knowing it's going to be a good trip but it exceeded my expectations it was great!!

First, while Christina is credited with organizing our trip, she did indeed take the first significant stab -- hotels, guides, schedule, etc. -- much of the details were handled by Katie, who was helpful, patient and accommodating. She advised us on practical issues -- the cost of taxis, how best to get to various places, how to orient our guides -- and was gracious throughout. Our guides were good, knowledgeable, willing to focus on our interests. The fjord trips were, of course, a highlight; so much beautiful scenery! Bergen was a lovely city, and we had 2 1/2 days to visit Bryggen, other old sections of the city, the Kode Museum and the Bryggen Museum. The Stegastein Viewpoint also was a highlight.The threatened rain fell only a couple of days.

Breathtaking. A magnificent tour of a Unesco World Heritage Site. So compelling to see the mountains dive directly into the fjords.

Our trip to Portugal and Spain was amazing. From the moment we stepped off the plane and met our driver, we were so well taken care of. It was nice to experience the locations and not worry about the logistics of travel. All of our guides were really good and incredibly knowledgeable. A few really stood out. Joao Campos who took us to the Douro Valley was a great guide and arranged a wonderful lunch for us. We enjoyed our conversation with him too. Paulo who took us to Sinatra and Cascais was wonderful. He told us so much about history and culture and the locations we visited. He took us to his wife’s family restaurant where we had a lovely meal. We really enjoyed our time with him. Patricia’s tour of the Mezquita in Cordoba was so very interesting. We felt like we got detailed information that other tours did not seem to get. I think our favorite hotels were H10 in Sevilla and 7 Islas in Madrid. They were elegant and fun. Our entire trip was lovely. Thank you so much.

Hiking Excursion in the Andalusia Countryside

Our guide was wonderful. Despite a lot of rain we had a great time. She told us so much about the plants we saw and the history of the area during the civil war. We saw some of the caves and trenches the rebels and soldiers used as well as beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The escape to nature was a wonderful change of pace from all the cities and crowds we had been in. Our guide was wonderful!

Our foursome traveled to Tokyo, Hakone, Nikko, Kanazawa, Osaka and Hiroshima over 16 days. The travel arrangements were impeccable. We used private car, trains and buses. Our guides were great, each in their own way. We enjoyed Yoshi in Hakone. He made a special effort to show us Mt Fuji, despite the cloudy weather. Michiko and Chi were lovely people and a pleasure to be with. Hiro guided us in Kyoto. Yuki met us in Osaka. Yasu showed us Hiroshima. We were very pleased with all of them.
I loved our tea ceremony and took great pleasure in dressing in our kimonos. I, of course, loved all the shrines and the history behind them. The ryokan was amazing and the onsan very relaxing. We dressed in kimonos for dinner that night...very memorable. There were so many things we saw and experienced that it is difficult to think of them all.
Finally, I have to give the biggest shout out of the trip to Shona. She was like the invisible mother to us all, checking in every day and reminding us of times, places and people. She is the best tour coordinator I've ever worked with and she would be the reason I would plan another trip with KimKim.

I really enjoyed our tour to Acropolis and Parthenon. Our tour guide Katarina was very informative, knowledgeable. The food tour was delicious! That was a great start to our trip.
Meeting Thanos for coffee made us feel welcomed. His thoughtfulness provided us with confidence to enjoy this adventure.
My favorite place was Mykonos! I had so much fun exploring the labyrinth town, the famous beautiful windmills, and a few beaches! The day cruise to the archaeological site at Delos and learning about the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo an Artemis the Sun and the moon was inspiring.
I’m not one to jump into the waters, but am so happy that I had the chance to swim in the warm, turquoise blue waters! Just amazing!
Santorini was amazing place to explore, the beautiful white buildings setting along the side of the steep hillside are a site to see in both day and night! The red, and black beaches are beautiful, and the food, sunsets and drinks are refreshing.
The bus tour was nice, but the tour guide voice was a bit high, hard to listen to. I enjoyed the lunch that was provided and touring their wine cellar was a nice touch.
I would recommend KimKim 100%. And if I ever have another chance to go exploring again I will coordinate the trip through you!

I enjoyed the trip. However, we had some issues with our travel agent. While we were still planning our trip, she responded quickly and wanted us to book the trip fast to ensure pricing even though we were still booking the trip far in advance. We did have to suggest certain activities like food tour, etc. After we paid for the trip, we asked about dinner reservations, but the response was delayed, etc.
She did not check in with us once we arrived. At one point, we wanted to change the train time; however, she told us that we could not change the ticket. By the time she responded via text on her phone, we had booked another train tickets ourselves.

We felt like we had to plan a lot of the trip ourselves. We booked our stays in airbnbs to help save money. We did not have transfers to and from every city, which was frustrating because of how expensive our trip was.

Overall, I did enjoy the trip, but I just wanted to have better communication overall.
