We had a very enjoyable visit to Norway. We had a rough idea of where we wanted to go and some of the hotels we wished to stay in. Mathia helped us fine-tune our suggested itinerary and suggested several adjustments. He was in touch with us several times during and after our trip. Thank you! Walks to Preikestolen and the glacier at Buerbreen, stave churches at Røldal and Ørness, and the many waterfalls were highlights of the trip. We also enjoyed our two nights in Bergen and our stay at Walaker Hotell in Solvorn. Our first visit to Norway but definitely not the last

The Paliomylos Hotel was amazing the short walk to the beach was perfect and having a pool was so close was perfect. The staff there was so helpful and the breakfast was super good. They also recommended this place called archipelago for food which was incredibly fresh seafood.

The Manos hotel had a great view but the AC was tough and there were some cockroaches that kept coming into the room.

We were not sure if this meal would be worth the investment but we have to say, absolutely! Post Pandemic, a visitor cannot even stand under the base of the tower without a ticket, and the whole place was mobbed. Luckily, with our tickets to lunch and level 1, we were able to go through expedited lines. Must do this if in Paris!

Afroditi and her team made our first trip to Greece a trip of a lifetime! She was accommodating, thoughtful and detailed. We wanted a trip that would keep our 2 boys, ages 8 and 11 engaged while bringing their passion of Greek Mythology to life. She curated the perfect itinerary across Athens (Acropolis/Delphi), Santorini (Lost Atlantis, Akrotiri) and Crete for us. We got the perfect balance of rest and relaxation with adventure. Despite the really hot days, the hospitality of everyone we came into contact with, our tour guides Anastasia, Penny and Sara, we fell in love with this vibrant and spirited country! Where to begin?

When Laila and I decided to take a trip to Greece, we had no idea how exactly to plan our vacation. We were looking for a trip that balanced history and culture with fun ideas. Laila loved seeing the sites such as the Acropolis and Akrotiri. Additionally, I was looking for points of rest and relaxation on the beach, and having prior experience and love for scuba diving, I knew that was something I wanted in my vacation plan.

Thanos went out of his way to create a phenomenal plan and itinerary for us to achieve everything we had hoped for on this trip. Additionally, we had a wonderful time with our guides; everyone was absolutely delightful to us from Athens to Santorini. Would strongly recommend the Acropolis and Flavors of Athens if it is your first time visiting Athens. The scuba group in Paros, X-ta-sea diving, was very helpful in getting Laila comfortable with scuba gear and allowed her to enjoy the expedition. In Naxos, Maria Daphne was a wonderful and informative guide during the cultural tour and ensured we had a wonderful time.

Throughout our trip, Thanos reached out to ensure we reached our destinations and everything we needed. He was absolutely marvelous as a coordinator, and I would strongly recommend/encourage him to guide anyone trying to navigate a trip in Greece!!

We usually plan our own travels and this is the first time getting help . And using Kimkim was the best decision we ever made. Irene our local specialist was phenomenal! She was really a pleasure to work with. She is patient, very responsive and was honest in her opinion. Together we discussed what I wanted in the trip and she helped us craft a perfect itinerary.
We had both guided and self guided tours. She gave great insights into the places we visited, where to go, what to look out for and even restaurant recomendations.

We packed a lot into our trip. We visited 4 cities and Irene helped plan the visits to each city/area. I can't decide which is the best because they are all different with different things to offer. Irene's plan was well thought out.

Amalfi Coast Boat Tour From Sorrento

This was the most relaxing tour we had for our trip. We were glad we chose the boat tour rather than going buy car/bus as we were able to enjoy the scenic coastline up close!You wouldn’t hv had that experience if we traveled on the road. The captain of the boat was good. He made sure we were safe. The highlight was that we were able to swim in the sea. It was just breathtaking!

Fabio was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Fabio worked with me to create a very memorable trip. I had a few ideas, but he gave great suggestions from excursions, restaurants, and money saving tips. I ended up taking two weeks spread amongst Rome, Florence, Sorrento and Venice with a few day trips to Capri, Cinque Terre, and Pompeii. That's a lot to coordinate by yourself so Fabio took all of the hassle out. All drivers and guides he booked for us were knowledgeable and friendly as well.

During the trip, Fabio was quick to respond to some issues that arose with our trains and Capri ferry, which was a huge help since we don't speak Italian. There was a massive train derailment outside of Florence, which would have made us lose a day of our trip - Fabio found a driver so we could keep moving within 30 minutes.

All in all, when you visit Italy you'll really appreciate Fabio as your agent.

Overall, KimKim was an excellent choice for us in planning our trip to Jordan. We are confident in recommending KimKim to friends and associates, and will look to KimKim in the future when planning trips. In addition to the professionalism and expertise, KimKim was also a good value for us, and simplified the complexity of international travel.
Driver / Guide: Bader Halaiqa
As a mom and daughter traveling as a “group of two” in an unfamiliar, foreign country, Bader Halaiqa made us feel welcome, safe and appreciated. He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. We felt more like family than clients, and he treated us to little surprises along the way, such as eating Arab Bread and dates after a gas station stop, and sampling unfamiliar Jordanian “treats” while walking through the market. Bader always made sure we made plenty of water, and when we were driving between locations he pointed out many cultural sights that enhanced the trip. For example, on the last couple of days of our trip, we saw sheep and goats in pens in unexpected places and he explained the religious customs associated with an upcoming major holiday. He also showed us how camel owners identify their herds. On longer trips, he played music in the car that fit the scenery, or videos to provide history and context to an upcoming site. It was reassuring to know that after he dropped us of at our hotel each evening, he lodged close by overnight to make sure he was there to pick us up on time the next morning. Occasionally Bader accompanied us on excursions to help us find our way and avoid making “touristy missteps.” He steered us clear of saying “yes” to an offer by random locals offering unscheduled “guide services” and explained that could actually turn into an obligation to provide a generous gratuity. When we wanted to go shopping he guided us through the market, speaking to shopkeepers to ensure we purchased the best item for a fair price. From the exceptionally tasty and fresh watermelon while we waited for our camel ride, to serving as our “photo journalist” when we explored and experienced the wonders of Jordan, we can’t imagine this trip without the contributions of Bader. His love of country, culture, family, and profession shone through in every encounter we had with him.
Pre-tour Contact: Samanta Neroli
Months before our trip to Jordan, we were introduced to our local specialist, Samanta Neroli. Samanta never tired of answering questions as she helped us make the most of the five days we planned to spend in Jordan. She was prompt in her communications, and creative in the suggestions she made. Samanta was flexible as we developed our trip and it was helpful to have a female representative tell us what we needed to know about local customs. Samanta was very knowledgeable about the sights and features of the places we planned to visit, and made certain our lodgings were relaxing and comfortable. She also explained the process of crossing the Border, and assured us that all the documentation would be in order and prepared for us ahead of time. Thankfully, the Border crossing went smoothly for us – just as she predicted.

Julia did a great job on our 11-day tour. The highlight was our time on the Fjords in Ballestrand and Fjærland. Fishing with Tor on his boat was wonderful. The Rib boat was spectacular and the people were a joy. Norway was beautiful and Julia was always helpful and kind.

My husband and I had an amazing two-week trip to Turkey. We like to plan our travel but were so happy that we made the decision to have Berat plan our trip. We gave her a rough itinerary, along with our interest and she took it from there. Recommending additions, and taking care of all of our in-country travel, hotels, transportation, and arrangements with the BEST tour guides. The Gul Konaklari in Sinasos is a special property to stay at while in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is a beautiful former Greek Mansion that is quiet and beautiful. The staff is attentive and as friendly as they come. We enjoyed both the sumptuous breakfasts, as well as the delicious dinners. What we also appreciated about the hotel is its location, away from the touristy section of the region. The town of Sinasos is a lovely location.

Gummi was an absolute pleasure to work with!!! We saw everything we wanted to see in Iceland, experienced the true culture, and ate at the best restaurants! Gummi gave us great insights into each place that we visited and gave us the best tips and tricks. He was always available whenever we had a question (both prior to and during our trip) and was always super quick to answer. We honestly had the most wonderful trip to Iceland and wish that Gummi could plan more of our trips. We can't recommend him enough!!!

This was our second Kim Kim organized trip of this year and it was great. Travel logistics worked out quite well and we loved each of the venues. The only aspect that could have been better was in Bergen. That hotel, the Zander K was immediately adjacent to the train station (making arrival easy) but at least 10-15 minutes walk from any of the sights in the city. We would have preferred a hotel closer to the ‘action’. Also, we ended up canceling our final boat excursion. There was no need for two consecutive boat trips and the final one would have been an all day experience without much for the kids to do. We also never used the bus tickets to the airport given how inconvenient the times were of their availability (and the info for Saturday travel was different that what was shared with us).

But, not to belabor the Bergen issues, the rest of the trip was excellent…well conceived and extremely enjoyable. We added the sauna in Flam and suggest you offer that to other travelers.

This 14 days in Greece was a dream come true, thanks to Angela “Aggeliki” Giannioti, who created a WONDERFUL trip plan for us, and whom we could rely on throughout our Greek adventure. This adventure started with three days exploring the rich life of modern Athens, cradled among mythology and a wealth of antiquity. On our first full day in Athens our boutique hotel booked dinner for us at Oizontes at the top of Lycabettus – the highest point in Athens – presenting us with the most breath-taking panoramic view over all of Athens. Many things were wonderful about this trip, but of special note is, that as spectacularly beautiful as are the islands, cities, villages, landscapes and seascapes – as well as the many trip-plan activities such as boating excursions in Santarini and Paros and touring sites of historical interest (visiting the frescos and excavation of 1700 BC Minoan Akrotiri really stands out) – it was the great warmth and kindness of the Greek people with whom we interacted that truly was the buried treasure of this KimKim trip and the heart and soul of our Greek vacation. Greatly valued and appreciated were our always punctual guides and drivers, their genuine warmth and very useful tips. In Santorini, it was our upbeat guide ‘Leftherios who went above and beyond to show us villages that were off the planned track, but who nevertheless kept us on time as he added personal insights of interest to the tours. Without a tip from our driver in Noxos, we would have missed the unmissable – bouzouki music and dancing at Flamingo! Our guide to Greek cooking lessons on Noxos was informative and personable and an invaluable translator. And Petros, our 3-day guide through and from Nafplio, worked a miracle to get tickets to a production of Euripides’ Hippolytus, tirelessly aided me in my quest for jars of giant Greek capers and caper leaves, and made possible a side trip to ancient Corinth on our drive back to Athens. 5 stars to Angela and our trip plan, executed without a hitch. I’d certainly love to work with her on my next trip to see more of the Greek mainland and Crete!

This was our first trip to Greece and everything was amazing! We spent 3 nights in Athens (with a day trip to Delphi), 3 nights in Naxos (with a guided walking tour in the hills), and 3 nights in Santorini (with a catamaran cruise around the caldera). Harris put together the perfect itinerary for our trip, with a nice balance between private and group tours and self-guided tours.

In Athens we did the Mythology Tour and learned about the history and mythology associated with the Olympian Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Gate, and the historical sites at the Acropolis and the Agora. Our tour guide Vicky was excellent. She took very good care of us in the heat and was very knowledgeable, bringing the Greek myths to life at each historical site.

The day trip to Delphi was fantastic. Our driver Konstantinos was a great companion and provided many insights about the history of the oracle and the region. Georgia, our tour guide at Delphi, was also excellent. She took us on a private tour of the ruins at Delphi. We stopped for an olive oil tasting and lunch at a local olive orchard (Mer des Oliviers de Delphi). Vasilis was a most gracious host.

The hotel in Athens (Sweet Home) was very comfortable and conveniently located in the Plaka district, which was great for shopping and eating out. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Blue Star ferry ride from Athens to Naxos. It was nice to sit on the deck and take in the views of the Aegean Sea.

Our 3 days in Naxos were very relaxing and enjoyable. The Hotel Galaxy, where we stayed, was beautiful, located only a few minutes from the beach near Naxos Town. The beach was beautiful and it was fun to explore the narrow alleyways of the old town and to visit the castle at the center. The Temple of Apollo at sunset was just incredible! The real highlight in Naxos was the walk in the hills with our hiking guide Georgios. He was great fun to be with and we learned a lot from him about plants and trees, as well as the history and culture of Naxos.

Our final destination was Santorini (Thira). We stayed at Makris Beach Hotel in Kamari. Maria, who runs the hotel, was very friendly and helpful, and she made us laugh a lot! We went on a group tour of the island with Theo, another excellent guide. He took us to three different representative towns on the volcanic island: Oia, a cliff town; Megalohori, a “river” town; and Pirgos, a castle town. The tour ended with a wine tasting, which gave us the opportunity to sample some of Santorini’s finest wines. On our final day in Santorini we went on a catamaran cruise with Vista Cruises. We went snorkeling at different locations in the caldera. What an experience!

All in all, it was a fantastic trip. We were lucky not to have been affected by the fires and our hearts go out to those who were. We love Greece and hope to return again some day.

Makris Beach Hotel was a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Santorini. Maria was a fantastic host. She was very helpful and had a great sense of humor! She encouraged us to visit some of the lesser known towns in Santorini like Megalohori and Pyrgos, and we’re glad we did.

Location

The hotel is a short walk to the beachside restaurants in Kamari. If you eat at any of the restaurants, you can use their beach chairs and umbrellas for as long as you like. How nice! There are buses in Makris that go to Fira, and from Fira there are buses to Oia. We enjoyed using the buses to get around in our free time. It was only 1.6 euros per ride and it was a nice way to see the island.

Galaxy Hotel Naxos was a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Naxos. The rooms were spacious, the pool area was a great place to relax, and it was a short walk to Naxos beach. The staff were very kind and helpful. On checking in, we were given a map and a briefing on all the best things to see and do in Naxos town, including a few tips on some of the best places to eat.

Sweet Home Boutique Hotel is conveniently located in the Plaka district of Athens, which is great for shopping and eating out. The hotel staff were kind and helpful and the rooms were very clean. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. On our last morning when we had to check out early to catch the ferry, they packed a breakfast box for us to take away. Very nice!

The elevator was convenient when we had a lot of bags, but we found the staircase a more elegant way of getting up and down.

Vicky was very attentive to the needs of our group. It was a very hot day and some people in the group fell behind in the long line into the Acropolis. Vicky managed the situation very well and adjusted the tour slightly so that we could rest and get some water at the water fountain near the Parthenon before seeing the Old Temple of Athena. She was also very knowledgeable and the myths she told at each site kept us all engaged despite the heat of the day.

Our hotel was close enough to the Olympian Temple of Zeus where the tour began, so we did not need any transport. It was a walking tour and everything was accessible on foot.

From start to finish, this trip was everything I could have asked for in a holiday. Charlotte and Nancy provided exemplary support throughout the trip and were available whenever I needed them. In my experience, there is no such thing as a trip that doesn't have some minor mishap here and there - Charlotte and Nancy were able to provide solutions to any small issues that arose quickly, such as rearranging tours so I could still do all I wanted if things were running late. They were tremendously helpful in making sure I was taken care of overall, communicating my dietary needs to the hotels and tours well in advance and also making suggestions while I was there if I fancied trying another activity. In the initial planning stages, Fiorella and Nancy designed a perfect trip tailored to everything I asked for on the KimKim survey and adapted it for me as we went along before Charlotte and Nancy took the helm seamlessly. I couldn't have done this myself - their expertise and rapport with their colleagues in the industry was invaluable in making sure everything went well.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and hotels that were arranged for me through Serendipity Adventures and KimKim Travel. I stayed in San Jose for one night, Tortuguero for two nights, Arenal for three, Monte Verde for two and Celeste for another three nights. It was the perfect amount of time to spend in Costa Rica.

Special thanks as well to Marianus at Serendipity - he guided myself and a small group on a hike around the Arenal Volcano - his focus on explaining the history of the volcano, trees and wildlife provided me with a rich understanding of the region that complimented the hike perfectly.

IMPORTANT: if you are going to stay at this hotel, make sure you have all their contact information and the ability to call them from the airport if you are a little bit late arriving in case your driver decides to leave. When I arrived at the airport, the driver was not there - this was not Serendipity's fault (they reimbursed me for my taxi), it was the hotel's - my flight was delayed by forty-five minutes so I arrived according to that - not very late. Besides, their responsibility is to check flight times or wait! It was late, I was tired, I had all my luggage and limited Spanish. Thankfully I found someone who could speak English and they were very helpful - I managed to arrive. No real explanation as to why the driver wasn't there - he had actually been there and just left, apparently. This could have been an absolute nightmare. The hotel itself was a very nice, mid-range standard city center hotel.

This is the first time we've ever used a travel specialist so we were a little concerned how everything will work out. But the trip organized by Ashley was absolutely amazing. Given that we traveled with kids her recommendations fit perfectly our needs. We loved all our accommodations and the cruise we did at Ha Long Bay was the highlight of our 3 weeks trip in southeast Asia. Capella is an absolutely stunning cruise ship, but fun activities for all ages, and the sweetest crew. We would love to go back some day on that cruise. Would highly recommend the food tour as well. If we ever travel back in the area we'll reach out to Ashely again for help!

This cruise ship is absolutely amazing, beautiful rooms, amazing food, great daily excursions. However I think the thing that stands out most is our tour guides, Helen and Chris went above and beyond to make our stay as fun as possible. Helen was so kind with our 7 year old, that she constantly tells us that meeting her was best part of our 3 weeks trip in southeast asia. We hope to continue keeping in touch with her while back in the US.
