His passion for **organic farming** and educating the local community about sustainable practices and the value of their land was inspiring. One of the highlights of the tour was a visit to a local **potter**, where we witnessed the entire process—from gathering soil and making clay to crafting, firing, and transporting the finished pottery to market. It was a rare, immersive glimpse into local artisan life. At the Ksar itself, **Ibrahim**, the waiter who looked after us during every meal, deserves special recognition. His service was **impeccable**—he anticipated our every need and treated us with such grace and care that we truly felt like royalty. Ibrahim’s warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression. Another standout was **Lahsan**, the young man who welcomed us with a detailed and heartfelt tour of the Ksar. **The Coolest Place We Stayed – A Desert Dream Come True** If you're looking for an experience that blends **luxury, authenticity, and heart**, this desert camp is it. From start to finish, it was truly magical—**unlike anything we've done before**. The journey begins at a hotel staging area with a refreshing swimming pool—perfect for a quick dip if it’s too hot for the camels to head to camp. But once the sun dips just enough, you’ll mount your camel and begin the most **mesmerizing trek** through golden dunes. Halfway to the camp, we paused to watch the **sunset melt into the sand**, a moment of absolute stillness and beauty. From there, you can choose a 4x4 ride or keep going by camel—**we highly recommend the camel ride all the way**. It’s slow, rhythmic, and allows you to truly absorb the silence and majesty of the Sahara. Upon arrival at the camp, we were met with **appetizers and warm smiles**—regardless of the time of arrival. The vibe was laid-back and welcoming, like stepping into a time warp of sorts. It reminded me of the **peaceful, love-filled spirit of the 1960s**—where time slows down, no one's in a rush, and the only schedule that matters is your own. That said, everything still ran smoothly—meals were served when everyone was ready, and **what meals they were!** **Fatima**, the camp chef, deserves a standing ovation. Her dishes were **scrumptious, heartfelt, and clearly made with care**. Every bite felt like a celebration of Moroccan flavors. The **watchmen of the camp** were equally remarkable—multi-talented, gracious, and always in motion. From carrying luggage to serving meals, sweeping sand from the rugs, and offering **joyful Berber music under the stars**, they created a seamless and unforgettable experience. Huge thanks and kudos to **Lahcen (Hossan), Ibrahim, Hamid, and of course, Fatima** the chef. There were others whose names we didn’t catch, but they were equally wonderful. And don’t forget to **order a bottle of Moroccan wine** with dinner—it’s surprisingly good and the perfect accompaniment to a meal under the stars. This wasn’t just a place to sleep—it was **a vibe, a feeling, a memory** we’ll always hold close. A peaceful, easy feeling that captures the true heart of Morocco.

Fantastic Culinary Experience at La Maison Arabe Our time at La Maison Arabe Cooking School was one of the most enjoyable and enriching parts of our stay in Marrakech. The class was extremely well organized, striking the perfect balance between instruction and hands-on experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully prepared. The chefs and instructors were professional, friendly, and made the whole process easy to follow, even for those with little kitchen experience. We appreciated how the class walked us through traditional Moroccan recipes step by step, and gave us plenty of time to ask questions and really get involved. The best part? It wasn’t just a demo—we each had our own workstation and were fully hands-on, making everything from scratch. At the end of the class, we sat down to enjoy our meal together, and it was absolutely delicious. They also provided printed recipes to take home, which was a wonderful touch and will allow us to recreate the magic back in our own kitchens. If you're interested in Moroccan cuisine, La Maison Arabe’s cooking school is a must-do. A fun, flavorful, and beautifully run experience!

A Truly Wonderful Potter – Talented, Kind, and Joyful Meeting this potter was an absolute highlight! He is genuinely one of the nicest, happiest, and most talented artisans we’ve encountered. With great patience and kindness, he showed us the entire process—from gathering the soil, breaking it down, making the clay, to helping me throw a pot myself. It was such a hands-on and memorable experience. He didn’t stop there—he went on to explain and demonstrate how he fires his works, sharing his craft with such passion and gentleness. What struck me most was his humble, gentle nature combined with true artistry. If you get the chance, don’t miss visiting this amazing potter. His warmth and talent truly bring Moroccan craftsmanship to life.

Our camel leader was such a nice young man. I'm sorry I don't have his name. Regardless, this was a highlight of the trip.

There was a man who gave us a tour of the leather store, including the viewing of the dying vats. However, the smell was almost unbearable.

This was a nice chance to get to know a local family. I had fun helping in the kitchen. As a treat, our hostess gave me henna on my hand. What fun!

Nice hike with a kind young man, sorry I don't have his name. He clearly loved to hike. This was one of my husband's favorite activities.

What a beautiful structure and space.

The entire town was shut down because of Eid al-Adha. Our driver, Oussama drove us around to see parts of town which was very nice. Our guide walked us around where the market would have been. However, everything was closed. That was not the guide's fault. If I had known that EVERYTHING was closed, I would have preferred to spend the day at the beach or had free time to take the ferry to Spain for the day. Live and learn.

Very friendly staff and accommodations were very good. Breakfast was good

Isle of Skye was our least favorite places. The drive was too long to get there and back. You were asked to remove your shoes upon entering the house. Even though they had sufficient room for a dining area, you were put into your own dining area to eat. You were separated from other guests. Food was premade in the morning and was cold and tasteless. We left a day early because we did not feel comfortable and did not want to drive for long periods to see anything.

The Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo in Rome was a fine accommodation in terms of the room and breakfast, but the location was inconvenient. It was situated far from the center of town and was not ideal for a tourist visit. The distance made it impractical to return to the hotel during the day. Staying closer to the center would have been more convenient, especially since I had a driver arranged for trips to the train station.

Palazzo Starace in Sorrento was in a great location, but the accommodation itself was not up to par. The hotel was hard to find after being dropped off as there were no clear directions, and it was a bit challenging to access. The place didn't have many amenities. Although the staff tried very hard, the overall quality and experience of the hotel were lacking.

Hotel Ariele in Florence was a fantastic hotel with one drawback: the air conditioning did not work for three nights during a particularly warm period. Otherwise, I found the location acceptable despite a 20-minute walk from the center. Overall, the hotel itself was nice.

Plinius Lifestyle Lake Como Hotel was centrally located with clean, tiny rooms and very nice staff. The breakfast was good, and the overall experience was pleasant in Lake Como.

Urban Hive Milano was a good hotel during my short stay. The stay was brief, only ten hours, but the experience was nice and uneventful.

The FastPass Tickets for the Colosseum and Roman Forum were convenient and worth it, though it was something I could have booked myself. It made access easier and saved time.

We had to do the whole thing from the car. We couldn’t go outside. There’s not a walking tour. Just had us sit inside the bus and listen to the tour guide talked to us.

Amazing experience, but paid a lot of money for this.

This trip kept on getting rebooked because of weather and then one time they had to rebook because of a military exercise in the area. Ultimately, we ran out of time and our trip so we never ended up doing it. They plan on refunding all our money, but it has not been refunded yet.

It is a lot of lecturing and a lot of talking very little time on the telescopes. Most of the time was people were talking to us about the northern lights and talking to us about asteroids and meteors. We spent very little time on the actual telescopes. And even with that we didn’t really see much.

Really beautiful. Really knowledgeable guide. We got to hop on a hop off and see a lot of sites. The Boat Tours was not that great. Spent 35 minutes getting to an island. Spent like 15 minutes on the island. And then had to go back for 35 minutes.

It was ok the staff were friendly and helpful Location for us could have been more central. It was clean and fine overall.

It was a very very long walk to this and left us feeling very tired to enjoy this art. Perhaps this can be done in the beginning ? then we had to take cab back to the center..

Wonderful tour with Fumi who was our guide for 2 days. Fumi curated our tour based on our interests and shifted to off the beaten path, indoor activities when it started to rain. We highly recommend tours with Fumi!

We had a wonderful 2 day tour with Hiroko. She was very knowledgable and shared so much history on the various sites. Hiroko also adjusted the tour based on our interests which made the tour even more memorable. Hiroko also worked magic taking photos of us without crowds in the background.

Stunning views. Wish we had known there would be little food on this as by the time we ended and got back was almost 10 pm and we were starving.

Carlos did a wonderful job picking us up on time and giving us tricks for getting through the crazy Lisbon airport.

It was really nice how they catered to our vegetarian preferences. Food was yummy and was a fun experience!

On every level, this is a standout hotel! To start, it's located a short walk from the Central Train Station, making it convenient for travel to/from the airport and other Norwegian cities. The staff is exceptional - helpful, knowledgeable and fluent in English. When I told the front desk person that we had to leave early to catch the 5:40 am train to the airport, she said the hotel would prepare a takeout breakfast for us. That breakfast included juice, fruit, cookies, a veggie bagel for me and a smoked salmon bagel for my husband, utensils and napkins. Our room had a comfortable king size bed and beautiful bathroom with large towels and bathrobes. As someone who has to go to the bathroom during the night, I so appreciated the light that goes on automatically under the sink. Breakfast is exceptional, with considerable variety and high quality choices. Lastly, we enjoyed drinks at the bar expertly prepared by a bartender who is actually a Greek doctor. If you want a superbly staffed and located hotel in Oslo, look no further than the Amerikalinjen.

The Kviknes Hotel in Balestrand was quite underwhelming. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, and the hotel itself wasn't impressive. The cappuccino I ordered was overpriced, and there seemed to be unnecessary charges for things that are usually complimentary in other hotels.

The Hotel Continental in Oslo was quite lovely and met our expectations for comfort and service.

The King Crab Safari in Kirkenes was a lot of fun. It was one of the highlights of our trip, offering a unique experience that we truly enjoyed.

In the heart of Porto, a stylish boutique hotel, comfortable accommodations, lovely breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff. Shower was not great, had to worry about water running out of the shower stall, design was not smart.

Vasco was so special. What a pleasant young man! When he explained his name was like Vasco da Gama, I misunderstood and thought he was actually a descendant! What great laughs we had at my expense. Great sleep at night. We did it all. Restaurants nearby, great stores, the history here is abundant. The staff friendly, delicious breakfast. The shower here was the best of all the hotels we stayed.

The photos on their website show the more glamorous rooms. Ours was small, but comfortable. It wasn't bad, but not beyond the average.

Location, location, location. At the Marina, but our room faced the bus terminal in the back, Luckily, we didn't spend too much time in our room. The staff were kind, professional, and helpful.

OMG! The best of all the hotels. Don't get me wrong, every hotel that was selected for our trip was classic, different, and comfortable. I just pointed out certain 'observations' on which they could approve. But Hotel Britania was a true historic and awesome hotel. Omar, Patric, Jose, and the dining room staff were so kind, engaged, and made our stay so memorable. We will be coming back here.

What a pleasant surprise on a tour focused on landmarks and history, an Olive Grove Visit. The beauty of the Olive Trees, especially the one that well over 2,000 years old.

I wish I was more artistically inclined. Some in the class were more talented. But it was still a great time, and we brought home our own creations,

Hotel was centrally located and close to major areas. However the room we were given was the top most floor with slanted ceilings and so we get hitting our heads on the ceiling. Otherwise it was a nice room - quite spacious and clean.

The area was great and walkable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

The rooms were nothing special, just a regular room. Our girls did love that they each got their own twin bed. The location was amazing with the pubs and restaurants right around the corner. Very easy to walk. The staff was nice and the breakfast was decent.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms were gorgeous and the staff was beyond amazing and they were so friendly to our girls. The breakfast was delicious and we loved that we got to order something hot to go along with the yogurt and baked goods. Our girls loved running around on the grounds and seeing the deer that were just hanging around right by. It was an easy 20 minute walk into town.

This hotel was simply amazing. The location is gorgeous and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a Junior suit that was two stories and it was the best for a family. The breakfast was one of the best we had while on our vacation in Ireland. I wish we would have known more about the hotel before our trip and would have booked an extra day just to enjoy all the the hotel has to offer.

It was a good hotel and a great place for a night. It was nice that the local transit had a stop right behind it which made it easy to get to and from without having to move our car. The parking for the car was a bit out of the way and took a while to get too and from. The elevators were not so convenient. You needed your room key to activate it each and every time and if you got in without using it, there were not buttons to get you to the floor you needed to go. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I can't remember his name, but the owner of the farm was so welcoming and informative. He was so great with our girls as well. They loved getting to bottle feed the baby sheep and had so much fun walking around with them in the little area we were in. The setting is absolutely beautiful as well.

Not sure how we got so lucky, but we were seated right up front against the stage. We were a little worried that it was going to be too late or too long for our girls, but they wanted to stay the whole time and loved watching the dancers. It was a great way to end our trip.

Awesome hotel, even better location, walking distance to everywhere you want to be. Service is out of this world, custom omelet for breakfast. On the negative side, the bar is very expensive and not consistent. The same drink was 15 and next time 19 euro, where in restaurant 50 meters away was 7 euro. Also the hotel in in pedestrian only zone, so required 50-100 meters walk for a taxi pick up, drugging your luggage. Still, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

This ultra modern hotel is gorgeous, has beautiful river views, pool and spa. It is perfect if you need rest and relaxation. But if you are a tourist visiting Porto for the first time, it is outside of city center, 20 min cab or uber ride and has nothing around it. You are contained to eat and drink there.

Fantastic trip, great guide. The restaurant of the main road that the guide had suggested as authentic was the most expensive meal we had in Portugal.

Cesar was excellent, punctual, on time, helpful, wearing a suit and a tie. His car was clean, had water and luxurious. Only one misstep, he talked too much about his family values, making it difficult to concentrate on something else. Otherwise, flawless.

I can't tell much about it as my wife was robbed at the start of this tour. Our guide Ana was amazing though, went with us to police station and otherwise gave us comfort.
